Ehh some would say kyogre since' date=' water beats ground. Yet Groudon would still put up a good fight, since he has fissure. So in theory, 70% of the time kyogre would kick his ass, because of the super effectiveness, but 30% of the time groudon would win, since fissure is a one hit kill. And out of luck. Without fissure, it would be more of a 10% chance really. So in total: Kyogre.

groudon has solorbeem to.

Both of you obviously don't know how to play pogeymanz. Nobody teaches Groudon Fissure or Solarbeam, ever.

Groudon is better' date=' because it's three times faster [/thread']

I hope you're joking.

Of course XD You don't know the "It's red, so it must be three times faster" joke?

...no.

Groudon should never learn any Special Attack, as his SpAtk stat is mediocre compared to his Atk stat.

IMO, a Groudon should know:

~ Swords Dance

~ Earthquake

~ Dragon Claw

~ Stone Edge / Fire Punch

You're not an expert if you teach Groudon solarbeam and fissure.

And if you ever win with that set, your opponent sucks.

That's obviously from Smogon. >_>

Sure, it may seem funny to teach Solarbeam with infinite sun, but it still is a bad choice. For all of the reasons mentioned above.

Auto-OHKOs are cheap. Using them means you have no real talent.

...you expert, you. ;D

Kyogre. It looks cooler' date=' and I like Water types better. Plus, even without Water, it can hit Groudon with Ice.

However, Groudon is still very cool, and I like him a lot. And shut yo mouth, Dark, Groudon can threaten Kyogre with Earthquakes if its locked into a weakened Surf or some such. It doesn't have the most spectacular defenses, after all.

depends which pokeball is thrown first. if yours is I win.

Never mind.

I thought you knew how to play.

I do, that is what happens. I could check, but I guess you have something against groudon-likers. I have been playing sense I was 5.

I have something against self-proclaimed experts who aren't really experts, is all.

Groudon's Solarbeam is a 2HKO, and Kyogre's Ice Beam is a 1-2HKO, depending if you were EV'd in health or not.

Kyogre's are generally faster than Groudon's, because people don't usually max out speed EV's in them.

So Kyogre goes first, 1-2HKO, then your Groudon attacks with Solarbeam, then Kyogre wins. =/

Checked all of this on a Damage Calc. not sure if it is accurate or not.

My Shoddy Buddy Mr. Sir and I have tested this. ^^

No matter what he did, Groudon couldn't escape from Specs Water Spout.

If he didn't equip Scarf, it would be an easy OHKO.

If he did equip Scarf, Kyogre's Drizzle would override Groudon's Drought, making SOLARBEEM impossible to use.

In terms of games...

Kyogre > Groudon.
