Digimon Accel: Roots of the King

 

Plot:

In the far off future of the thirty-first century, man-kind has advanced to a frightening degree in the field of technology. The simplest of necessesities is often met with little effort. The world eventually became a heavy machine-based social network, linking the earth once again by merging the continents into the original pangean form. Conformity struck the world and individualism ceased to exist for the most part.

Thus, the governments became Draconian dictatorships. The leaders of these governments did not fear an uprising as the people were content with their lives. They weren't fools. As long as the pheasents were satisfied, they knew that they had free reign. However, just because they were careful, doesn't mean they weren't greedy. They soon pursued other interests, such as the discovery of the digital world. This "other world" was documented back in the early twenty-first century, during the time of DATS, when supposed monsters would walk the earth. The records were wiped clean after the Yggdrasil incident, and the only thing left was word-by-mouth story-telling. The governments took great interest in these monsters and their world. They saw it as a means to expand their own empire and increase their power, effectively allowing them to have total dominance over the people's lives without tip-toeing over their laws.

And so the government funded a tremendous amount of their treasury to the creation of a functioning gate way to the digital world. Of course, they were successful in establishing a connection. However, something quite unexpected happened. Instead of the portal stablizing, it fluctuated, causing a distortion in the spatial and temporal dimensions of the real world. The resulting implosion caused most of the lab to burn to cinders. Unfortunately, they labeled the excursion as a failure and left it. What they didn't realize was that the initial shock caused five kids from various locations on Pangea to disappear. These kids would be transported to the digital world, find their own partners and try to find a way to get back home... if they ever make it however.

Personality: Felicity is a bright, confident, outgoing girl with a streak of compassion that is never-ending. Well, when she's happy anyways. Her moods can be a tad extreme. When she's happy, she's sporting a huge grin, bursting out into random song and making cookies. Felicity is also be a bit flaky at times, mostly because her head is always in the clouds because she is a huge day dreamer. She also has soft spot for cute guys. Really, she cares more about personality than looks, because she believes true beauty comes from within. That's what she tries to tell herself anyway. In the end if a guy has beauty within, a six pack and a cute tush it's definately "a WIN!!!"

 

History: Felicity was born in what used to be the UK before the Pangean event, and was the youngest child of two. She was she was especially close to her older brother, Alex, who was 5 years her senior. Unfortunately, Felicity would lose her brother at the age of 11. It was a stereotypical scene. The two siblings walking home from getting ice cream on a cool autumn night and they found themselves confronted with a pair of thugs attempting to rob them at gun point. They gave them whatever money and jewelry they had on them, but apparently, the robbers wanted another thing: Felicity herself. As one of the robbers forced himself on her, Alex sprung into action to defend his little sister. The shots were heard, and Alex's limb body fell to the ground in a pool of blood. The thugs decided to flee the scene leaving a preteen Felicity sobbing over her brother’s lifeless body. The criminals were apprehended by the police and justice was served as the men received life in prison. Still, that wouldn't bring her brother back and the fact that she was unharmed because he sacrificed himself to protect her didn’t make it easy on her conscious. She sunk into a deep depression blaming herself for his demise.

 

As Felicity entered middle school, she started to exit from her grief, and she knew that her brother wouldn’t want her mourning over him forever. Instead of focusing on the bad, she decided to become optimistic and look at the bright side, knowing that he was in a better place and his soul at rest. This optimistic attitude would be the one Felicity would adapt to for her everyday life.

 

The rest of her teen years was pretty much normal for Felicity. Having a huge imagination, she got get involved with the arts, which was illegal by conformist standards. Painting, drawing and music most of all. In short, she was an anamoly in the eyes of the government. Then the explosion happened. Everything changed... one moment she was secretly playing a flute, next, she is hurled through a digital tunnel and spat out in a bizzare forest of some kind. She was scared at first, but then met a small little creature who introduced himself as Caprimon. She took an instant liking to him and thus he became her "partner" or whatever he called himself.

Personality: Sean is the one who will never give up when it is near the end of the battle and his Digimon is about to be defeated. Sean has been the selfless kind for many years. He would be caring for others. He is only trustworthy with people who trust him. If in a dire situation, Sean would make a sacrifice to others he cares about the most.

 

History: Some say Sean's past was never understood. To be clear, Sean was a great guy until he became 13. During that time, Sean's father had mysteriously disappeared. He had waited for him for months, but had to face the facts. His father was gone and there was nothing he could do about it, that is until 2 years later, when everything had gone wrong, horribly, horribly wrong.

 

With Sean's depression going through the roof, he then saw a big flash and was temporarily blinded. As his vision came back into focus, he realized that he wasn't in his average home. It appeared he was in an unknown area. What was stranger was that he saw Felicity and 3 others he had never seen before. He could not believe what had happened. He wasn't sure what had happened, but he has a pretty good thought that he might have finally found his father after all of the years of waiting for him to come into his sight.

Appearance: Hazel eyes; brown, shoulder-length, vaguely unkempt hair; Caucasian skin; wears a dark gray t-shirt underneath an open beige vest. The vest has the type of pockets you see on a modern camo vest. He also wears navy blue sweatpants and black sneakers. Digivice is worn on the left wrist.

 

Digi-Destined Role: Prophet.

 

Digivice: Digivice 01. It's purple with black accents.

 

Partner Digimon: Dorumon.

Personality: He enjoys solitude, but enjoys a friend's company just as well. He also tends to be antisocial around people he doesn't know (and thus, has no established feelings for). Often lost in thought, he likes to imagine himself as a fictional person, but remains content with the here and now. He does dream to be big, but knows he can't lead, and is commonly a short-term thinker (sometimes coming up with one solution for a problem, but creating a new problem in the process). He's a little lazy, but takes action if necessary, and is very honest.

 

History: Just an average high-schooler freshman. That's all he thought he was before being thrown into a portal. Up to that day, nothing truly eventful had happened to him. Born and raised in where the Midwestern United States were before the Pangean event, he lived with his parents in a middle-class home, having a twin sister and a younger brother as company. They weren't bad, really; if any arguments broke out, they were forgotten within the span of a couple days. He had dreams of being someone big in a less connected world, like back in the ancient years when the continents were all separate.

 

Anyway, he felt like he could accomplish a lot, but whenever he imagined a situation like this, he always reminded himself that it was only his imagination. He had heard of another world from his friends, but that must have been a myth or something. Even if it was real, he heard it was back in the year 2000. That was before serious computer technology was even invented! He admits, he'd like to visit there someday, but he knows that'll probably never happen.

 

Then destiny hit him. It hit him with the power and surprise factor of a lightning bolt with no rain. In fact, he could swear that it was a lightning bolt that hit him in the middle of algebra class. After blacking out while hurtling through a weird green portal, he awoke to find a large, purple egg-shaped thing next to him. As if in response to his arrival, it immediately started to hatch, and a purple fuzzball with ears and a face came out. Introducing itself as Dodomon, it handed him a wristwatch-like device that it called a Digivice. He figured that he may as well go with this strange creature in this strange world, since it was the only friendly face so far.

 

Side Notes: Alan is rarely still, whether he's fidgeting with something or pacing. He also suffers from insomnia.

Partner Digimon: Monodramon -> Devidramon -> Cybermon -> Justimon or ZeedMilleniumon (Weaker of Course, so no Time Destroyer) (For the sake of showing his coflict as both a Reaper and a Lover of Justice. Depends on how he is emotionally and mentally at the time)

 

Personality: John is a conflicted individual with a heart for both darkness and justice. He feels the urge for both sides, and wants them both for his life. The conflict is what kept him rather regular, bland, and not an individual. This consumes his being, and he could be described as erratic now, free from society's chains. He is now a very kind person at times, and a rather cruel person at others, almost to the point of two personalities. He also has a deep seated hatred for the government, that carries over between his moods.

 

History: Syler was born on what had once been North America, or more specifically, the United States. He was raised by his mother, and his father was a revolutionary against the government, who was swiftly dealt with before he earned fame. He died when Syler was only 6. This caused Syler to have a bit of a desire to be a hero, although it was repressed by his mother, fearing for his life. This continued on until the stories of Digital Monsters resurfaced. He was enamored with them and learned every one there was to know.

 

As he listened to the stories, he grew to like the villains as much as some of the heroes. He even began to imagine himself as one, for some odd readon. The odd thing, is it was in direct contrast wit hhis feelings on his father, of being a hero. He became torn between the two prospects, as the stories and his father had him wishing to be the darkness and the hero of someone's life. It was an internal conflict that threatened to rip the, then young, boy in two. Somehow though, he stayed under control, until the failed attempt to get at the Monsters, and then all heck broke loose.

 

Side Notes: Often twiddles with any pen, twig, etc. he has. Also runs one hand through his hair a lot.

The first episode will feature the five of us introducing ourselves and a small plot (featuring a fight between a rather weak Champion and our Rookies). Personality: Simon is known for being the adventurous daredevil amongst his friends along with being the only one not trying to get into other people's buisness and staying neutral in most things. He also, at times when he thinks something is cool for him to do, he has a change of personality that his friends call 'Simian' since it always lead to him doing stunts like a monkey.

 

History: Simon has been moving around most of the world since he was a kid. During that time, he managed to learn some old history and cultures. His favorite was the sport known as Parkour. Ever since he learned it, he has been using it to his advantage in many things, such as strength training and critical thinking. He has also gotten into trouble with the government, showing forms of sport that physically expressed individuality and free-spiritedness.

 

Upon his arrival at the Digital World, he felt like he was at a place where he could show his individuality and not be penalized for it. Although, there are many dangerous creatures that lurk in the strange world, it doesn't stop him from being himself as well as knowing his suroundings and limits. However, whenever he's in certain places, he has a higher risk of doing something incredibly stupid, break a bone or two, or worse.

 

Side Notes: Simon is known for being one of the few people left to learn the sport of Parkour and because of it, he is incredibly flexible as well as an equal amount of strength to back it up. Also, he is a bit of a hothead at times.

Personality: Crystal wasn't the one to put herself out, and be noticed. She mostly kept to herself, not caring to be a part of the in crowd. She dosn't like having other people doing things for her, but she will admit when she needs help and juct suck it up. Crystal is a very grounded person and was taught that fairytails, are just that, and that she shouldn't listen to that nonsence. She likes to go by the facts, and if she can help it she doesn't act on her emotions, as emotions aren't something that can be writtenly proven or explained with a computer. Surprisingly enough, she has a wierdly blunt sence of humor never failing to say what's on her mind. She enjoys gardens, and other than doing work for school or computer work, she is there.

 

History: Crystal wasn't always like she is now, and only became like that after her twin sister and father died in a car accident with a large delivery truck. She was also in the car, but for some reason she was completely un harmed, with minor scratches, while her sister and father died upod impact. She and her sister were very close and when she died it felt like a part of her died as well. So now she lives with her mother, and her step-dad along with a halfbrother who is only now four years old.

 

Right before Crystal was transported to the Digital world she was on the computer studying for a test, when a bright light flashed and then darkness consumed her vision. When she woke up, she was surprised that she was no longer at home. As she explored the world she couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that she was apparently taken some where else. It didn't seem logical that something like that could happen. Even now she continues to deny that this could really be happening, hoping that sooner or later she'll wake up from this "Dream".

 

Side notes: No matter where she goes she always seem to have her journal and a pen with her. She can always be found writting in it expressing her thoughts, and documenting any information she may find out.
