Guest NeoBlueDragon
Hello, all those who surf the Internet for great tales of wonder and glory. I, NeoBlueDragon, have elected to start a new fanfiction. This time, I've chosen to take Allow me to present to you... YU-GI-OH!Dragon's Rising Notes: While this is based somewhat on the anime, the rules of Turbo Dueling will not adhere to the Anime for EVERY Turbo Duel, rather taking an approach like the Manga (That is, normal Dueling while riding motorcycles. Yeah.) In the rare case that Speed World is used for Turbo Dueling, this version of the Card Text is applied. This card can only be active during Turbo Duels, and only if both players have agreed to activate it at the start of a duel. If you activate a non-"Speed Spell" Spell Card, take 1000 damage. During each Standby Phase, place 1 Speed Counter on this card (max. 12 for each player). Reduce your number of Speed Counters by 1 for each multiple of 1000 damage. This card is not affected by cards that destroy Field Spells. All other Field Spells are treated as Continuous. Disclaimer: NeoBlueDragon does not own Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, or any other Yu-Gi-Oh! anime that Kazuki Takahashi, the series' rightful creator, may come up with. He also lays no claims to Speed Racer. Please support the official release. Without further ado, Episode one - GAME START!
Ah, yes. Tokyo City. Once a thriving city, People respected each other, and those who didn't brought shame upon itself. But then, time passed, and the young got restless. Eventually, they snapped, causing riots everywhere, until one man suggested that they find a way to vent their anger and have fun. Only one way came to mind, an innocent game. That very game... is the game of Duel Monsters. An eighteen-year-old guy stood on his Duel Runner in front of a stoplight whose light was currently on red. The motorcycle sparkled a brilliant red color, with the white racing stripes reflecting the stars themselves. His name is Yusei Fudo. He's been waiting for this opportunity his whole life, ever since his childhood...---"See, Dueling is a great pastime," Yusei's friend, Jaden Yuki, noted, "But if there's a way to rev a game up, it's Turbo Dueling." "Turbo Dueling?" Yusei asked. "Turbo Duels utilize Duel Runner motorcycles to add a certain power to the game." "Card Games on Motorcycles?" Yusei asked. "... Card Games on Motorcycles."---Years later, and Yusei was in the middle of one of these Duels, against Jack Atlas. "It's no question that Jack Atlas is in the lead, with 3000 Life Points and his impressive Red Dragon Archfiend in Attack Mode. (3000/2000) But the rookie, Yusei Fudo, with 1200 Life Points and a Bicular in Defense Mode, (200/200) have something up his sleeve?" The announcer, world famous Master of Ceremonies, spoke, "Let's watch, as Yusei makes his move!" "You're not going to win, Fudo!" Jack snarled from his single-wheeled Duel Runner Wheel of Fortune, "This Duel's mine, no matter what!" "That's what you think, Jack," Yusei noted from his Red Duel Runner, "But trust me when I say you're the one going to lose here! I summon the Tuner Monster Junk Synchron in Attack Mode! (1300/500)" As the orange cyborg warrior appeared on the field, Jack smirked. "It doesn't matter WHAT monster you play! You'll fall to my Red Dragon Archfiend!" Jack claimed, "Just like your pal Yuki!" "What Jack refers to here is a victory he had against five-time champion Jaden Yuki back when he was a rookie," MC told the audience. Yusei didn't need a history lesson. He was there when it was written...---It was a few years ago, the final match of the Turbo Grand Prix. The circumstances were similar. Jack also had 3000 LP and Red Dragon Archfiend out, but Jaden had the advantage of having Skyscraper as a field spell, and Elemental Hero Flame Wingman in Attack Mode. (2100/1200) His life point total was 2000, however. "So, Jack, all have to do is attack your big Red Dragon with Flame Wingman, using the 1000-adding power of Skyscraper, and that's game!" Jaden smirked, "Which is what I'll do right now!" As the Flame Wingman streaked toward Red Dragon Archfiend, Jack smirked. "Not if my Trap Card, Magic Cylinder, has to say about it!" Jack smirked. "NO!" Jaden yelled, but it was too late. Jack's trap stopped Flame Wingman from attacking, then fired a fireball at Jaden, wiping out the remainder of his life points. "AHHHH!" Jaden screamed, as his Duel Runner stalled as a result of his life points hitting zero... launching him off. "JADEN!" Yusei yelled, but it was too late. Jaden Yuki had been defeated.---"After that, Jaden decided he needed a vacation," MC noted, "And he still hasn't returned to the Turbo Duel circuit." "Ah, yes, that was the first of many victories!" Jack reminisced, "And another one will be won today!" "Well, not exactly!" Yusei said, "Junk Synchron can summon forth a level 2 monster from the graveyard, like the Speed Warrior you destroyed earlier!" As Speed Warrior arose in Defense Mode, (900/400) Yusei smirked, "And I equip Junk Synchron with the Equip Spell Synchro Boost, raising my Tuner by one level!" Junk Synchron glowed with incredible power! (Level 4/1800/500) "I synchronize Bicular, Speed Warrior, and Junk Synchron Boosted!" Yusei shouted. Junk Synchron turned into four rings of incredible power, which surrounded Speed Warrior and Bicular. "Unity hidden by clustering wishes..." Yusei chanted, remembering the chant that Jaden, his friend, had taught him, "Evolves into a shining new star, as the wishes of a million... becomes the path its light shines upon! SHINKURO SHOUKAN! Arise in Attack Mode and take flight, Stardust Dragon! (2500/2000)" "Why didn't you try something more powerful?" Jack asked. "Because of my Spell Card!" Yusei slapped a card down, "Megamorph! Doubling my Dragon's attack power!" Stardust Dragon glowed, then GREW! (5000/2000) "Let's have our vengeance! Stardust Dragon! SHOOTING SONIC FLARE!" Yusei yelled, as the Stardust Dragon fired a blast of white energy from his mouth, obliterating Red Dragon Archfiend! "And now, Jack Atlas's life points hit... 1000!" MC yelled. Suddenly, Stardust Dragon shrunk down. (1250/2000) "HAH! Still here, Yusei!" Jack shouted. "I activate Two Hinotama spell cards I had face down!" Yusei stated, as Jack was suddenly pelted by fireballs. "That reduces Jack's Life Points to Zero!" MC yelled, "Yusei Fudo wins!!!" Yusei stopped his Duel Runner, jumped out, and struck a pose saying, 'Im awsum lol.' "If only Jaden could see me now," He said... ... Completely unaware of Jaden watching from the stands. "Geez, that kid sure is gonna be good!" Some random spectator with a hillbilly accent noted. "No, he's going to be the best," Jaden smirked, "If they don't destroy him first..." To be Continued... ?
