The 18th World [NOT STARTED/ACCEPTING] - OOC

[spoiler=Plot]

In the world the gods have created, there are several races of intelligent life, each with their own abilities and customs unique to them. However, this is the 17th world that has been created by the gods, and the other 16 were destroyed by a war of their own people.

 

The god Sark has always said to comprimise and to make one race of people, instead of making several that will continue to battle and kill one another. However, without diversity, the world is bland and boring, and they have all heard of the dimension that prospers, the one called "Earth", but it is ever so boring to them.

 

The god Karia has suggested that, since the gods are omnipotent and all powerful, to eliminate war from the world, and instead let nothing but peace prosper. However, to get rid of war, all evil would have to be removed, and without evil, there would be no hardships or challenges.

 

So, they have all decided on making yet another world, and destroying the 17th world, seeing as they are going through the exact same process of war. However, they have selected one being from some of the races (seeing as some they unanimously don't like.), and they shall be put into the new world to rule, and to teach of nothing but peace. If they manage to cleanse the world of evil themselves, without committing any of the signs of war: Betrayal, Murder, and Trickery, then the world shall be theirs. If they fail, then the gods shall destroy both worlds, and never attempt creation of another world again.

 

In the creation of this testing ground, one god, Aurkus, has snuck evil demons and evil strongholds in the new world, and when the gods found these in their new worlds, they were quite disgusted, but when they tried to eliminate these from the new world. This god continues to sneak in devilish beings into the new world, continuing to stack the odds against our new lords of the future.

 

The intentions of Aurkus are unknown, however, he was always the one god he has always voted down the destruction of the past 16 worlds...

 

[spoiler=Races]

Espers - They have very powerful minds, and can use their mental power to force their will on anything without one. Such as air particles (very commonly used), and inanimate objects. Any projectile is useless against them because of this. Their physical traits are pointed, elven ears, sharp, and a wide variety of eye colors.

 

Life Feeders - They are sneaky fighters with quick reflexes, who can take the life force of other beings, but only through direct, physical contact. It is most effective when the life force is taken from the forehead and neck. Their physical traits include sharp claws at the end of their fingertips, fangs, and often red eyes. Their final height is often about 5' 11" to 6' 2".

 

Formless - They are pretty much exactly what it says they are, formless. They can change their density, their form and shape, and pretty much any physical aspect. They can look like whatever they want, but if they want to look like, say, an Esper, they can't have their abilities. Their original form is a slow, very large, gellatinous mass.

 

Will-O-Wisp - They are floating balls of energy and life force, which is exactly why they fear Life Feeders. They have the ability to inhabit anything, make it alive, and use it as their body, and can abandon it as they please. Most will take the form of a dead person, so they can blend in with others in society, and hopefully not get eaten by Life Feeders. Their physical traits include..... well..... being blue and spherical.

 

Volpes - Human like creatures with fox tails and ears. They are completely in sync with nature, and have amazing agility and quickness (Not superhuman quickness, however.) They can breath fire that can burn anything that isn't a plant or nature animal. Their physical traits include fox ears, fox tails, fangs, claws on hands and feet, and needle shaped pupils.

 

Orcs - Um.... yeah, BIG. They are big, slow, strong, and grow to be about 14 feet high. Other than great strength and bad breath, they are also great listeners and secret keepers, because any word with four syllables or more will probably go in one ear and out the other. Communication wise, they are not too bright, but they have great protective instincts. Physical traits include baldness (males only), and skin color ranging from a very pale yellow to a pale green.

 

Hobbits - Short and spunky. They are tricky, sneaky creatures, with a temper so large, you wonder how it fits in a 4 foot high body. However, they have quite the formidable ability, being able to camoflouge with their environment for a short time. The less they move, the longer they can stay concealed. Their physical traits include pointed ears, skinny, twig like limbs, and dark green skin.

 

Ictus - Well, they are often considered lizard men. They have much strength and quickness, but their greatest strength comes from their jaws. They can crunch almost anything into bits, including bones and stone. They also have another special ability, which includes being able to spit anything that's between their jaws at very high speeds. Their physical traits include a dark orange skin color, bald heads, claws, muscular bodies, and very long and large jaws.

 

Tempests - They have the ability to control anything relating to the weather. They also have the ability of flight, which can also sometimes play a part. If they are flying, and they decide to cause lightning to strike, that isn't going to end well for the Tempest. Wind speeds, percipitation, all of that is under their control, except for the plates of the earth, so no earthquakes. Their one drawback is this, dehydration really affects their powers. If they are running low on water, they aren't going to perform well in battle (Pay attention, anyone who plans on using fire.). Their physical traits include white, brown, or black hair, and often skinny bodies.

 

Salvus - They have the ability to create and amplify sound waves. They can listen in on conversations by amplifying the voices of the speakers, so they can be great spies. They can even mute the sounds of their own footsteps, speach, etc. Their physical traits include being approximately 5' 6" tall, and hair that is always spiked and stuck up, the exception being for females. You can always tell they are a Salvus by their voice, because their throats are always slightly sore. Not much, but just a little sore, so they have water with them a lot.

1. Hybrid races do exist in this roleplay, but you cannot be one.

 

2. I will allow you to suggest races, but I will be picky, especially with creativity. So being able to control dark energies, is definately a no-no, because it's been done, a lot.

 

3. No Godmodding. Understand the limits of your race, and do not exceed them. If I say that Espers can't control weapons that are held in a player's hand (which is true), then don't break that rule.

 

4. Guess what? If you decide to not read the rules, and you break one, then I will still warn you/punish you. You don't read the rules, that's your fault.

 

5. I won't be too strict on activity, because even if you are on YCM, it doesn't mean you don't have a life that needs tending to. I will say, if you don't post in two weeks, then you will be warned. Do it again, and I will have to kick you out. However, try to be active, if possible.

 

6. If you have an issue with a player or myself, take it to PM. Anything that needs to be discussed is much easier handled over PM. That way, you won't have to worry about the OOC Posting rule, and having to post something related to the RP to discuss something else, even if you have already done all you can do. It's just easier.

 

7. I think I've covered everything. If there is any rule I missed, I'd appreciate being told so. Don't worry if I bec't put Advanced Clause, or other stuff like that, because those should be known before you click the title of the thread.

Name: Raphael Harvus

Age: 23

Gender: M

Race: Esper

Weapon: None

 

Appearance: He has black, shaggy hair, coupled with a strange violet eye color, but those are Espers for you. He is approximately 6' tall, but barely. He often wears a white cloak down to his waist, with a silver badge in the shape of an owl on it. Under the cloak, is a white T shirt, and dark cloth pants, with black commoners shoes.

 

Personality: The best word to describe this man is lazy. He has almost no force of will, which goes to extreme lengths. One thing about him though, is that he is extremely intelligent, and there is a reason he has that owl badge. Where he comes from, he is one of the most intelligent minds, if only he weren't so lazy, then he would show it. He never shows it or uses it because he's too lazy to think about anything, and acts like he's half awake, which he often is, which means he isn't always that bright. He can also be quite sarcastic and cranky, at least before his mid morning nap.

 

Bio: Raphael's laziness comes from over use of his powers. He has never had to really do anything, because of his abilities. His intelligence also meant he didn't have to do anything difficult with his mind either, which meant he never had to do anything difficult because of his talents. He figured that he shouldn't put effort into anything that isn't difficult, and since nothing was that difficult, he never put effort into anything, and he became used to that.

 

His owl badge symbolizes he is part of the World Minds Organization, which used to consist of all races, but now is just espers, because everyone is at war. Being in this organization means you are a brainiac of brainiacs, and is a very high honor. He never wanted to join, but when he turned 18 he took a test to measure intelligence, and when the organization saw his test scores, they wanted him to join, but wanted to wait 2 years for him to mature, and to become just a little bit more experienced before asking him to join. After all, no one could be intelligent enough to join them at the age of 18, and Raphael was no exception.

Name: Daniel

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Race: Volpe

Weapon: A bow and arrow, plus natural weapons.

 

Appearance: Daniel has the appearance of a basic Volpe, with emerald eyes and a light orange fur. His ears are taller than average, but much skinnier. As for his hair, it is the same color as his fur, and it's down to his shoulders in an unkempt manner. He wears clothing like a tunic, which is white. Beneath the tunic, he wears a red t-shirt and blue loose pants. His hand's claws are shorter than average, but sharper, because he scratches things a lot, whereas his claws on his feet are regular. While he often sits, he stands at about 5'6.

 

Personality: Daniel is a cheery and playful person who likes to play pranks on passerbys. He means absolutely no harm to anything alive, and is ignorantly innocent for his age, and does not know how to behave around females, feeling they are no different from himself. The only time he truly acts his age is when he is in nature, where he is most at peace with his life. He loves to think deeply while sitting in a sunny nature area. Being innocent and immature as he is, he is a very optomistic and trusting person, who definitely wears rose-tinted lenses. He also has a heart for the destitute. He also has some quirky habits, such as scratching any surface near him to test it, if it is not clearly animate, and that causes him some issues and makes his nails shorter and sharper.

 

Bio: Daniel was raised to believe that everything and everyone was essential good and respectable. His parents instilled the fact that he was as much a part of nature as a tree or a rock, and so his innocence was preserved. He was not held back from society, but made to think something bothered the people who did things wrong, and that they truly were like him. The only thing he was taught how to do, with a weapon, as a child was to use a boy and arrow to hunt in addition to his natural abilities, and how to use them in conjucture to make life easier for himself and others. His parents also kept the concept of courtship and mating from him until he left home at 20, but he did not really take to the idea at the time, and has yet to. When he moved out, he moved into a small cottage for himself in nature, so he could be at peace. He kept up interactions with a nearby town for food that he could not hunt, news, giving his catches to the poorer denizens, and the like, but no more than that, meaning he never noticed evil going on, and his innocence was preserved. He stayed until he was 23, and then moved to the city after three years alone. He stays on the outskirts of the city, relatively close to nature, presently.

o Appearance:

- A floating Blue Sphere of Life energy that glows a gold color.

(Sorry for less than 4 sentences, not much I can put for appearance.)

o Personality

- Vermillion is constantly paranoid. Many Life Feeders have come looking for him and he must constantly evade others. He is a master tactician, manipulative and highly intelligent, even rivaling the intelligence of an Esper. His paranoia has led him to barricade himself from nearly everyone and only deal with other Will-o-wisps. His great tactical powers have allowed him to escape ingestion by even the most experienced Life Feeders.

o Bio:

- Vermillion has spent the last 10 years being hunted by Life Feeders. He is considered to be a Legend among the some of the other Will-o-Wisps and the most hated enemy of the Life Feeders. He has eluded Life Feeders many times. Thanks to his deal with Aurkus, Vermillion has a neverending supply of dead bodies at his disposal that he loans to Will-o-Wisps that aid in his cause. In exchange, Vermillion has conspired with Aurkus to throw the world into chaos. Vermillion is generally calm and rarely gets angry. The story of his escape from the pursuit of 4 Life-Feeders is still told among Will-o-Wisp children.

 

 

 

Sorry if some things are a little short. I wasn't sure about the deal with Aurkus thing. If you need me to change that or modify it a little, then tell me. I'll gladly change anything that needs to be changed. I do have a question though, Will-o-wisps can use the powers that the dead body possessed while it was alive right?

Name: Flare

 

Age: 26

 

Gender: Male

 

Race: Volpes

 

Weapon(s): Claws and teeth, short sword, quarterstaff/walking stick.

 

Appearance: Flare is named so for the odd coloring of his fur: a bright, vibrant mix of red and orange. Small tufts of white hair sprout off the ends of his ears, which are slightly larger than the average Volpes. He has a lean body, small, but rippling with muscles. His claws are an unnatural yellowish-orange color, which also contributed to his name. Deep red hair cascades down from his head, ending abruptly at his waist. Occasionally, he wears his long hair in a ponytail, or a braid, but most often it is just down. He has bright orange eyes, with deep red tufts of fur that replace his eyebrows. Small fangs can be seen pointing down from his upper lip when his mouth is closed. Flare wears a brown cloak over an orange tunic, with red trousers. He usually doesn't wear anything on his feet or hands, but has been seen wearing gloves and boots, though he does not like them. He wears his short sword in a small scabbard on his right side, and he either carries the quarter staff, or has it strapped to his back.

 

Personality: Flare is a quiet, contemplative person. He usually doesn't speak to people, instead making gestures with his hands to get his point across without interrupting his current task. Some people have mistaken this for stupidity, but they pay for their judgments. Flare has a short temper, and whenever anyone insults him or angers him, or anyone he knows, Flare is likely to attack them. Though he may not seem it, Flare is extremely friendly and trusting. He has a light, almost childish, heart inside, and is always willing to make friends. Flare often spends time contemplating. Though he is oftentimes forgetful, he does his best to sharpen his claws often.

 

Bio: Flare was borne naturally bright red and orange. For some reason he cannot fathom, his parents despised his coloration, and his first memory is of the forests. He grew up on his own, just barely managing to survive. When he was old enough to think in an adult way, he decided he would not try to return to his parents and discover why they abandoned him. When Flare was 15, he discovered what he considers a great treasure: a discarded short sword. Though it was old and rusted, he kept it, and used it to help hunt. A few years later, he carved a quarterstaff/walking stick out of a long tree limb. Despite what has happened to him, Flare continues to believe that everybody has some good in them. He never spent the time, or effort, to try and discover the origins of his unusual coloring, though he notices that for some reason, he is despised. He suspects that it is due to his coloring, but he refuses to believe that he is hated simply for his color. When Flare was 20, he moved out of the forest, and into a city nearby. He bought a small cottage on the outskirts of the city, close to another of his own race. Though they have never met, Flare has seen him many times before. Flare managed to gain a position as a scholar in the city, but he spends most of his off-time outside the city.

Name: Charity

Age: 16

Gender: F

Race: Tempest

Weapon: n/a

Appearance: An albino in all respects. White unkempt hair, white skin, sharp red eyes, etc. She usually wears the simplest of clothing (colored white) to lighten her load when flying. She is never far from her tanned leather waterskin, usually strapped around her waist. As for footwear, she goes barefoot most of the time.

Personality(4 sentences): Has a bit of a temper, but not enough to make her not the social butterfly that she tries to be. Her albinism makes it hard, though, which is what brings out that temper. When alone, which is often, she toys with the weather or explores her surroundings, trying to gain knowledge.

Bio(6 sentences): An albino is almost always shunned in any society. Humans call them "Demons" and/or "Ghosts" because of their white features and red eyes. Tempests do the same thing, calling them names and shunning them. This happened to Charity, even from her parents. Thus continued until she could stand it no longer, an ran away, into the night. She had been away for less then a week when she came back, but the name calling began again. This caused her to run away, and she has yet to return.

 

 

Now that I look at it, it looks rushed. Let me know if you need me to add/change anything.
