F.A.R. [An Mech Related RP/ Now Starting/ Accepting]

"Hmmmm......." Will started. "Well we got movement Otacon, could you tell if they're hostile or friendly's?" He asked.

"No, I can't."

"What!? Why not?"

"Well you see, when you fired your Flare it was close enough to disable the Radome, which acts as our eyes, and ears."

"Tch....I forgot.......Whenever a Nuke goes off, it sends off a type of electric pulse strong enough kill, or knockout any electric device....."

"D-don't worry Will, even though our Radome may be out of service, it can be repaired. Plus anyone within range would also be affected." Otacon stated.

"That's what worries me, if we can see them comming, but can't determine if they're friend or foe, it could messy."

Gilbert came to a stop. "Why is the screen not changing?" he asked.

 

"The blast seems to have damaged the sensory systems. It must have frozen the cameras."

 

Gilbert sighed. This would make them something of an easy target, although whoever fired that thing would probably be in a similar state. The problem would be anyone who had seen the signal from far enough away could be coming. "What about the radar?" he asked.

 

"It's working, but we're not getting any data on what we pick up, meaning we have no idea of status or alliance."

 

Gilbert paused. "Fine. E.E., start work on system regeneration, starting with the cameras." Gilbert flipped a switch and a nautical periscope dropped in front of 'her'. "I sure hope this hair stays out of the way," 'she' muttered, as she slowly started the mech up again.

 

Uther turned another corner to find a large green mech, with a very large gun on it's right arm, standing there. Looks like we found the source of all this. Gilbert though, watching to see what the other mech would do.

 

OOC: I did put my thoughts on the new mech in my last post - it's in a spoiler so it doesn't get in the way. Don't know if you saw it, but the wording of your post suggests you didn't.

Xander heard the global message coming out of seemingly nowhere. Reflect closed in on him, telling him about the message. Xander quietly lifted his hand up to let Reflect know he understood the message and heard it. "Eclipse, please." Xander asked Reflect, who quickly nodded using his small, whole body. "Of course!" Reflect flew behind him, as Eclipse slowly appeared besides him. He also ignored whatever Faith had just said, only hearing her voice, but not knowing what she had said. "Thank you" Xander thanked Reflect and ran up Eclipse's body, flipping into the cockpit. "You're welcome." Reflect gladly replied, teleporting besides him. "Go fast." Xander commanded, as Reflect began Eclipse's movement. Eclipse dashed right past Lucas at such speed he seemed like a blur, and also passed right across Faith at incredible speeds, as he was virtually a mile away in seconds.

Seeing another mech in front of him, Will prepared for a possible fight, since he couldn't tell if the mech in front of him was friend or foe, Will readied his 30MM vulcan cannons for fire. "Who are you!?" Will asked.

"Otacon."

"Yes?"

"Can you still determine wheather or no if it's an A.I. or Player?"

"At this range I can......give me a few....."

 

3 to 5 seconds later

 

"Will, it's a Player."

"A Player huh?" he thought to himself. "You there...." He said to the Player. "Is your rador working?"

"So this is a player, at least," Gilbert muttered, "so a fight might just be avoidable, given the state they're probably in." He switched the external speakers on, and with some cracking they came to life. Good Gilbert thought.

 

"Yes," he told the other pilot, "my radar is working, but only as a radar. I'm not getting any of the data feeds in, so I can only see that something is there, not who or what it is."

 

"As for who I am," he added, "I'm not sure yet. I guess at the moment it depends on who you are." Gilbert switched the speakers off, waiting for a response.

 

"Clever," E.E. spoke up. "You just avoided his question, asked one of your own, and gave him a reason to answer it, all at the same time."

 

"And I didn't say anything that wasn't true, at least to a degree," the pilot replied.

Meanwhile, Faith was inside o her mech looking at all of the different controls. "Ok...It's not easy pilotin for real." She mumbled, trying to figure out how to go faster. She shrugged, "Oh well, here goes." Faith pushed a button which activated the lazers on the shoulders of the mech, accedently shooting them off at two nearby mechs. She paled quickly turning them off. "Sugar a little help please!"

 

"Ok! Ok! Speakers on!"

 

"Hey! Uh, guys up there sorry! I didn't mean to do that..." She trailed off. She wasn't even sure they would be able to hear her, because for some reason her raidars weren't working properly. She wasn't getting the right information back so she assumed that they were in the same condition. "I'm a player not an A.I if you two can hear me."

"So your rador doesn't huh? damnit....." Will said aloud, but using the monitor in his cockpit, Will studied the Player that was in front of him.

"Username: GDalt88

Age: 22....." Will began.

".....Partner: A.I.

A.I.s Personality: Uncertain and something of a worrier, and not particularly confident.

A.I.s Name: E.E.

A.I.s Preferred Fighting Style: Stay at a distance and shoot, and run away if things don't seem to be going so well.

A.I.s Appearance: A small pink sphere, about 10cm across, and according to the mech's design set into the side of the cockpit. No markings, but lights up when active and flashes when communicating." Taking a breather, then continued on again.

Mech's Fighting Style: A good all-round unit, but most effective up close.

Mech's Weapon/Gear:

- Combat Lance (The tip vibrates at high frequency, allowing it to pierce tougher targets)

- Shield with built-in Missile Launcher and Energy Shield Generator

- Combat Knife (as combat lance, stowed away and used as back up)

- Double Boltgun on right arm

- Smoke launchers

 

Although your gender is Male, for no practical reason, you'd been giving an......Female Avatar....?" Will finished saying, but with shock.

"Will incoing fire!" Otacon shouted, but before Will could react, But Metal REX, and Uther were hit by a laser attack.

"W-W-What was that!?" Otacon asked, in an frieghtened voice.

"Obviously it was an attack Otacon!! but don't worry, it didn't peirce the armor, much less put a statrch on it."

"Will, I'm p-putting REX unto the offensive position."

"Wait, it might be a Player, can you prefrom a quick scan?"

"No I can't......Iit's t-too...f-far."

"Grrr.....great.....just fire 2 of the anti-tank missles then, since it wo't that much damage if it's hit."

"Y-yes sir!" Otacon replied, while firing two anti-tank missles towards the unknown shooter, and maybe the unknown oppoenent.

Faith paniced when she saw the mech return fire. "Sugar, can you help me? I need shields quickly!"

 

"Ok! Ok!"

 

Shadow Storm's arms came together and two shields came up blocking the attacks. "Hold on...That was a prett weak attack..." Faith sighed relieved, "Then he doesn't know if we're friend or foe. Sugar Im putting Shadow on Auto piolet, so you'll control her. I can't risk firing another lazer again."

 

"Understood, Faith!"

 

Faith's mech closed the distance with her and the Mech she accedently hit. She made sure Sugar wasn't moving too fast so she wouldn't seem like a threat."Sugar can you get a reading on the mech?"

 

".....Sorry. Sorry. Informaton system is still down from the flare. Five minutes and systems will be back online."

 

Faith sighed sagging in her chair. "See if you can get communication with the Mech closest to me."

Gilbert was about to answer, when a laser blast slammed into Uther

 

"What was that?" he asked.

 

"Another mech," E.E. replied. "I've got the cameras back, so if you want..."

 

"You need to ask?" Gilbert queried, pushing the periscope back into position and looking at the newly-reactivated screen. The green mech had launched a weak attack at the newcomer, which he probably didn't expect to do much anyway. Gilbert swung Uther round to better cover both of the other mechs, and switched on the speakers again.

 

"New arrival, whoever your, cease fire at once," he called out. E.E., meanwhile, diverted her attention to the radar systems, which were next on the list to be repaired.

"Hey Faith, you having some trouble?" He flew back and up close to her mech. Something was wrong with her radar. "Listen. Do you see a blue looking shape on your screen? If so press it that should restore systems. If it still doesn't work for you, I'll climb in there and give you a demonstration if thats alright with you?" He pulled back on the controls a bit to stay the same speed she was at. He punched buttons and the mech slowed down her speed.

Faith head Ian and looked around for the blue button. "Oh, here it is." She pressed it and juts like he said it restored the systems in her mech. She turned on the speakers, "Thanks, Ian and about that demonstraition I would appriciate it. I don't want a repeat of earlier. I may actually press something that will do some damage." She said glad that she had someone to help her. She wondered how Xander was doing, as he wasn't checking up on her like he normaly does. [/i]I hope I didn't do anything to make him mad at me.[/i]

He quickly noticed that he was out of site. He didn't think he was so fast, that he would be invisible in under a minute. "Reflect, please bring us back." Xander commanded, feeling a big tired. "As you wish." Reflect followed the command, as Eclipse started dashing towards Faith and Ian. He closed his eyes, and began relaxing while thinking about random things. "Is there a problem?" Reflect asked, quite concerned. "There're no problems, Reflect. Thank you." He yawned and let out an impatient sigh.

 

About a minute later, he had been a few meters from Faith, as he looked towards her mech. "Is there a problem? It seems as if you're having problems moving your mech."

"4 players huh?" Will said, but only in the cockpit of his mech. "Otacon....." He began. "Well it seems like we got some freindlies here."

"Y-yes sir."

"Turn on auto-pilot, and guide the players to the Challenge Dome, I can see that there're some more players comming." He paused, while looking onto the horrizon, seeing more players comming towards him.

"And what are you going to do?" Otacon replied.

"Well I'm gonna leave REX in your hands, and stay behind, so that the other Players will know what to do."

"You s-sure!?"

"Yes don't worry about me. Plus, I gotta look for Jake."

As soon as Otacon, and Will got done talking, Will climed out of his Mech, and started walking a few feet away from the others.

"Attention Players." Otacon began on the speaker. "Please follow me." And REX started to turn away, leading the other players to the Challenge Dome.

"*sigh* Are we there yet?" Jake comlained, while opening the cockpit of the Nirvanna, looking out the digital landscape.

"Please!! Will you shutup!" Rekki-Maru snapped back. "Say Jake...." The A.I. began. "Did you just noticed that flash of white just a couple of moments ago?"

"Yeah I did. Why?"

"I'm just wondering who fired that shot."

"It was probably Will's mech, REX. Since his mech is the only one with a Nuke.......Speaking of which, what sector was that shot fired from?"

"It was fired from Sector F-19. We're in Sector F-10."

"Geez......that's practically 100 miles from us, yet we can still see it." Jake finished, while both of them headed to the nearest Challenge Dome.

OoC: Is it possible that Jack Rayman could make his debut here now? Or any other characters that aren't in F.A.R.? Like the worried sister, or something?

Ian looked at Xander. "Don't worry, I just had to teach her how to get used to this. She's a bit new to it." He smiled. He didn't exactly know why she wasn't used to it already when he knew ever since he got here. He pushed the thought away and grabbed the controls. "Let me know again if you need any help alright Faith?" He turned and left. He passed Xander and went back to Lucas and the others. He looked back. He reassured himself she would get it. He didn't want her to get hurt. Things actually do hurt in this world and he learned that the hard way.

Faith smiled thankfully at Ian. "I'mkinda embarressed I actually needed help, but thanks anyway." She waved as he was leaving, then turned to Xander. "Hi! I'm glad you're here. With how you dashed off like that I figured you would be the first one there." Faith smiled then looked down contemplaiting on weather or not to ask him if he was mad at her but quickly regected the idea. "Well then, we better get going. Don't want to lag behind." Faith grinned before heading towards the Challenge Dome.
