F.A.R. [An Mech Related RP/ Now Starting/ Accepting]

Uther sped on across the ground using it's built in wheels, only lifting it's feet to avoid dips or low ledges that would have trapped the mech. Gilbert sat in the cockpit, starting to feel slightly bored. Sure, being in the game was a new experience, but he had always treated it as a way to escape from reality, so for the game to effectively be reality was a novel experience - apart from going round in the open expanses where there wasn't much happening.

 

Of course being stuck in a game came with other issues as well. In what he was currently half-convinced was a state of madness, he'd created a female character for the game. Which meant that being stuck in the game also had the effect of giving him a sex change - and not the realistic kind even; it was very much like how it happened in TV shows - so perhaps it should be she. Oh well, he/she would figure that out when it mattered.

 

Something showed up on the monitor. "Players?" he asked.

 

"Yes. Maybe we should stay clear, they might be strong."

 

"Even if they are, they may be friendly, especially if they're in the same position as me - although it'll probably only be the trapped in the game part."

 

Uther changed course, heading towards the shapes.

 

(Note: The people who Gilbert's seen aren't anyone in particular, so feel free to respond. Also I'm not bringing Brother Odysseus into the game unless someone takes part in the event he's in - and I won't send Gilbert on it)

"Your sister's like that? I myself was never a rebel, at all." Removing his arm from her's, he smiled back, welcoming her. "I didn't lie when I said I would protect you. Anyways....you're thirsty..." He looked around the area for a few moments, wondering. "I think Reflect might have some. I always kept all my items and such stored inside him. Actually, did I tell you he holds all of Lunar Eclipse?" He laughed, as he called for Reflect. "Ask him for what you want..." Reflect flew towards her.

[Aesirson]

"Yokai, activate the shadow deflector!"

Justin, or Renegade, was sitting in the cockpit and looked out at the three mechs in front of him. He had a malicious smile on his face.

"Yes."

Tengu was covered by a purple glowing aura and held it's arms out, as if it was absorbing the energy around it.

"Time for these amateurs to feel real pain!" Justin smiled and smashed his fist at the display. "Attack!"

The malicious mech jumped into the air and slowed down mid-air where it entered a "kick"-position and darted towards one of the mechs with it's foot first, hitting it in the chest and totally devestating it. The Tengu then grabbed another one of the three mechs heads and dragged the entire mech into the other, mech that was still functional, detsroying them both in the proces.

"What a waste of time." A dark voice echoed inside the cockpit.

"Come on, Yokai! It's all for the fun!" Justin laughed and looked at the ruined mechs.

"A player is approaching." The dark voice was emotionless.

"Another player, huh?" Justin smiled again. "Time for some more fun then!"

Justin was now outside his mech, and was standing on the middle of a seemingly empty wasteland.

When that other player arrives...

He then let out a faint chuckle and kept waiting.

[Time Psyduck]

"How many are there?" Gilbert asked as the mech moved in.

"Four...wait no three...one...three of them have just vanished. We should turn around," E.E. warned.

"Oh no, this is too interesting to pass up. Why would three players just fall of the radar like that," the pilot replied as Uther closed in on the remaining mech. "What do we know about it."

"It looks like a combat specialist pattern. The limbs are heavy builds, but I can't find any weapons."

"They might be hidden, or whoever it is might just like fighting," Gilbert mused, "well I guess we'll just ask." By this point they had covered most of the ground between them and the other mech, and the three wrecks were now visible. Gilbert hit the speakers as Uther came to a halt. "What happened here," he asked the boy stood outside the working mech, forcing himself to ignore the femininity of the voice that came out.

Faith looked at the black and white A.I as it waited for her to tell him what she wanted. She smiled, "Can I have apple juice, please?" She asked. She was asked to hold out her hand, and when she did the grid of a bottle's outline appeard, before the actual bottle came following the outline, from top to bottom. "That's so cool."

 

Before she could take a drink, however, Sugar said, "People! People! Faith there's someone close by!"

 

"Really?" She turned to Xander, "Do you think we should go over there? They may be like us. If so we could help each other out."

[Tourmaline]

"Xander, it is true, there are more people, nearby." Reflect flew back to Xander's side, and stayed there. "It is quite coo-" Xander turned his head to see more people. Silently, he turned his head back towards her, and closed his eyes. "I will do whatever you want us to do." Xander moved his hand on her shoulder in a comforting, protective manner. "Let's go." He began making his way towards them, and Reflect was still there motionless. "We've started moving?" Reflect asked, and began floating towards Xander. Halfway through, the A.I. turned towards Faith and Sugar. "After you." He waited.

Jason cursed as a reading beeped. He hit a button, hoping what he had planned would work. Huge jets of flame erupted out of the Mad Cat's back, launching it forward. He checked a rear monitor, and saw that he just made it. He sniggered; normally, Mad Cat doesn't have jump jets. But he had added them, and he was glad he had. He spun the Mech around now, and typed commands. A ball of blue energy began to coalesce in front of Starfire's right arm. Jason set the reticle on Blu-Dawn, and waited until it turned red, confirming a lock. He hit the firing stud, and with a loud noise, the ball of energy launched at Blu-Dawn, tracking its every move.

The ball of energy traveled at incredible speed. "(Darn it! I won't be able to dodge this one. Oh well, what you can't dodge, you destroy!)" Lucas thought confidently to himself as he held up his right arm, retracting the blade. "Alright Jason! I'm not gonna be holding back, so watch out for this one!" Lucas exclaimed as a bright blue light started to form at Blu-Dawn's cannon barrel. Suddenly, a bright blue continuous photon beam shot out from Blu-Dawn's cannon and went through the ball of energy. With the ball of energy destroyed, the laser then traveled at extremely quick speed towards Jason and his Mad Cat. "(Aw man, I hope this doesn't cause to much damage........ I don't want to destroy a friend.......)" Lucas thought to himself worringly.

"Geez this is boring. I mean I like shows and all but this is just sad. It shouldn't take this long." Ian pressed a few buttons on the screen next to him. The guns on the arms popped of and handles came out of a hatch on the bottom of each gun. The sides switched and the guns were now battle rifles, his weapon of choice. He grabbed the controls and pushed the controls down into a slot. The seat dropped down into a hatch and the room became more open. He stood up and moved freely and so did the mech. To joysticks dropped down. He caught them. Light shot out of the two of them transformed into light guns. "Fly." The mech rocketed off toward the other two. They where still fighting when he jumped between them with both sights targeted point blank.

Jason almost panicked as the beam penetrated his PPC blast and came for him. "Don't forget about your shields," a voice said from behind his head. Right! Shields...uh?! Oh yeah! Jason rapidly typed on his control panel, simultaneously activating his jump jets and projecting a shield of energy around the Mech. It flew backward, but the beam slammed into the Mad Cat's left arm. The shield, and the movement, deflected the blow, but it still caused some damage. Jason quickly checked the damage. Looks like I've lost control of that arm. "Zero! See if you can't repair that arm." Zero replied with an "Alright," then disappeared, and reappeared outside the Mech, beginning repairs. In the meantime, Jason tried to figure out how to damage Blu-Dawn. He's so fast...I'll have to get closer before I can do any damage...

"(Gah! Man, good thing he had that shield, or else things could've been worst........)" Lucas thought to himself as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. "(Mad Cat is actually pretty impressive at defense. I would've never thought he had a shield. Also those rocket boosters of his, did he install those?)" Lucas wondered as he waited for Blu-Dawn's photon cannon to recharge. It took ten seconds for Blu-Dawn's cannon to charge completely, in that time, Lucas was thinking of ways to end this battle without serious damage to either mechs. Just then, a mech appeared out of nowhere and targeted both Blu-Dawn and Mad Cat. "Huh, Jason! Watch out! It might be an enemy!" Lucas exclaimed as he targeted the mysterious mech.

Ian saw the two of them were still flying around not noticing him at all. "Hey Clause get a reading on them." Clause formed data at his hands. The floating numbers rearranged themselves. Ian punched a button. "Hey I'm a friend don't worry I was watching you guys and I was impressed and bored at the same time." He put his weapons down to show he didn't mean any hostility. "So... whats up?" "They are players. Their usernames are JCPilot and Dawnsh00ter." Ian turned back to the screen. "Alright then JCPilot and Dawnsh00ter. Are your minds trapped here as well?" He punched buttons and the cockpit turned back to normal. He opened the cockpit to show he was and waited for a response.

"Alright Zero, how much longer til the arm's fixed?" Jason got his answer a second later when Zero appeared back in the Mech. "Well...guess it's fixed, huh?" he said quietly. Zero bobbed in answer. "Alright, then." Then, Jason turned and faced the new Mech. It appeared quite menacing, and no doubt it would be able to dish out a large amount of damage. Might as well try it, he thought to himself. He hit a few buttons, then switched the comm. "Hey, Lucas? I got a cool move. If you've ever played games that involve this Mech, you'll know what's coming. Check this." He targeted Blu-Dawn, ignoring Ian's queries for now, and flipped a few switches. Immediately, a red light began blinking, and a mini klaxon blared, quietly thankfully. "Alpha Strike locked on," a robotic voice said. Jason grinned, now ready to unleash a fury upon Lucas.

"Alright you don't have to shoot him now Jason, he's a player." Lucas said as he used his mech to block out Mad Cat's targeting system. "I guess you just have to use your technique another time." Lucas said as he turned around and walked towards the boy and his mech. "Hey there, I'm Lucas, nice to meet ya." Lucas proclaimed as Yumi transformed back into her usual appearance. She then jumped onto the boy's control pannel. "Hehe, I'm Yumi! Nice to meet ya!" Yumi said as she gave a quick twirl. "Hehe, that's my A.I. She can be like that." Lucas explained while scratching the back of his head.

Jason was angry that Lucas had blocked his locking system, but understood the reasons. He powered down the Alpha Strike, then walked over towards the new Mech. He activated the speakers. "Hey there. I'm a player. Name's Jason, since my username doesn't matter anymore. What are you doing over here?" A strange feeling flew down Jason's spine, and he gulped. "Have you been...watching us?" Zero turned (maybe) to face Jason.

 

"What are you proposing, Jason? This boy is an innocent player like...well...Lucas over there and-" Jason scowled, and cut him off.

 

"I wasn't suggesting anything; don't get your knot in a twist, Zero."

[Taion]

Clause flew out of the cockpit and surveyed the landscape. "Oh, well hello Yumi. Looks like you have a bright one uh... Clause whats his real name?" "Lucas. And Jason. I'm BlazeAwayez. Otherwise known as Ian." He crawled out and jumped to the ground. He walked around a bit and stretched his limbs. Clause was examining his new found allies faces. "Clause get out of their face." "I am simply analyzing them. They will soon be in my database." "Still don't know why I chose you." Ian sighed an sat down. He stretched some more. Even if it was virtual but that didn't mean he couldn't feel it. "So, how did you guys get here?"

Lucas deactivated his mech and started to stretch. "Man, that was tiring....... Anyways, it's nice to meet new friends." Lucas proclaimed as he gave a friendly smile. "Hey Yumi, you shouldn't bother people too much, alright?" Lucas asked as Yumi jumped onto his head. "Alrighty Lucas!" Yumi replied vigorously. "(I don't know how Yumi can always stay so happy. Oh well, at least I made more friends.)" Lucas thought to himself as he walked over to Ian. "Anyways, to tell you the truth, I'm not really sure how I got here. I just passed out when I was trying to play the game." Lucas responded. "Anyways, how did you end up here Ian?" Lucas asked curiously. He then turned to Jason. "Jason, we should probably finish the spar later, right now we got company." Lucas said.

Jason nodded, understanding. He deactivated Starfire, and leapt out. He landed nimbly, then stood up. "Zero, please?" The Mech was enveloped in a red cube, then vanished. "Thank you," he said, before turning his attention back to Ian. "My story's the same as Lucas's. I was just trying to play the game again when I got sucked in. Luckily, I met Lucas, and I was able to figure out that I wasn't the only one. Apparently, neither is Lucas. My question now is...what should our present course of action be?" Jason noticed that, while he was talking, Zero had changed his form, becoming a handsome middle-aged man. Jason turned. "Noooww you decide to look like a human. Sheesh, I don't understand you, Zero."

Faith and Sugar looked at each other and smiled. It was so apparent that Reflect was Xander's A.I. They acted so much alike it was kind of funny. Faith walked up so she was right beside Xander. As they got closer to the source of people, they saw five mechs. Three of them seemed to be unresponsive and on the ground obviously just coming out of a fight. Two of the mechs where stand. One of them a a boy standing on the outside, looking at the other mech. The mech he was looking at had asked a question, apparently as clueless as Faith and Xander was.

 

"I wonder what happened here." Faith questioned looking from the recked mechs, to the two working mechs. Faith quickly grabed Sugar as she was about to fly off towards the people. Faith shook her head. She was way too curious for her own good.

 

"I hope a fight isn't about to break out."

Reflect noticed the two girls giggling, but only decided to continue following his bestest buddy. Xander, too, noticed that Faith and her A.I. were laughing. All he could do was smile, as they quietly continued along their ways. A bit later, the group stumbled on this group of mechs. "Faith, please do not get yourself involved, it does not seem so safe." Xander suggested, walking behind her in a protective manner. Reflect went a bit forward, watching Faith to see what she would do.

Faith made to walk closer to them, but stopped at Xander's suggestion. "You're probably right but...I don't want the one in the mech to end up like those other three mechs." She looked at the young boy that looked about her age, with a garde expression. There was something off about him, and she didn't like the feeling she was getting from him. "I know you don't want me to get involve, but I'm not gonna let that kid destroy that mech."

 

She bit her lip, "There's just something not right about him..."

 

"Not right! Not right!" Sugar repeated hiding in the front of Faith's clothes and poking out her head.

[Tourmaline]

"I'll follow you. I don't want to have you getting hurt, and I feel that it would be better if we went together." He kept behind her, keeping Reflect besides him at all times. "Reflect, at the first moment you notice anything dangerous, instantly call upon Lunar Eclipse." He whispered to Reflect listened, nodding. "I was thinking the same. I will do as you wish." Reflect went in front of Faith, trying to defend them in any way his tiny body could. "Thank you..." Xander smiled, looking at the boy. "You're right. That boy does seem...odd, a bit. I beg of you to literally stick to me as we close in." He requested, sounding quite serious.

As Lucas waited for a response, Yumi's hair pin started to beep. "Beep! Lucas let's go over there!" Yumi exclaimed as she pulled Lucas over to two strangers. "Gah! Stop pulling on me Yumi!" Lucas exclaimed as he fell to the ground when Yumi let go of him. "Ow........... Huh?" Lucas then looked up and noticed he was at the feet of a girl. "Huh?! Gah!" Lucas then quickly stood up and found himself face to face with her. Lucas' face began to blush. "{Blushing}" He then backed up immediately. "Sorry about that miss (Aw man, I totally just embarrassed myself for blushing like that.....)." Lucas thought to himself as he bowed his head down. Lucas then looked up and noticed a man. "Umm, are you two players or A.I.s?" Lucas asked as his face was still a bright red color.

Faith looked down at the boy who fell right in front of her. She blinked confused before realizing he would be able to see under her dress. Faith turned beat red and stepped back a bit. "U-um hi.." The boy was also blushing, probably embaressed at his first impression. "W-we're not A.I's..." She mumbled as Sugar popped out of her shirt and flew around the new boy's A.I. "Wh-what's your n-na.." Faith took a deep breath trying to calm down.

 

"My username is Ch-cherry, but my name i-is Faith. Y-you can call me eithr one. That's m-my A.I Sugar."

 

Said A.I smiled, "Hi! Hi!"

 

"That's Xander, and his A.I Reflect." She looked down biting her lip, "Wh-what's yours?..."

Xander noticed the boy fell in front of her, and took it as a possible attack. "Reflect! You know what to do!" Xander commanded, as his mech appeared out of Reflect's body. Xander and Reflect quickly dashed into the Cockpit. "Lunar Eclipse!" Xander yelled, as, in not even the blink of an eye, Lunar Eclipse had his katana pointing straight for the boy's head. "Faith!" Xander yelled. "I will protect you!" He yelled, as the katana was going straight for the boy. Reflect appeared besides Faith. "Deepest apologies, but he seems to be quite protective of you.
