*Side Note* Well if you guys haven't got my message, my computer has been hit by a virus (ironic isn't it?). So my response's is limited to my schools computers. So for first few days (or untill I can get the virus removed) I won't be participating that much. But again, as soon as we get more apps, we'll start.

Bio: Created by a mysterious hater of the F.A.R Game, it was made to totally annihalate the game. But the Virus didn't want that. It saw the game as a way to take over the world. When it's creator entered the game to inject the virus, the Virus killed him. It now controls F.A.R and wishes someone to unlock it, so that it can enter every computor in the world and utterly destroy them, but not before gaining a robotic body of course.

Personality: Merciless, ruthless and robotic. It's a Virus For F*cks sake.

In-game Apearance: It doesn't have an appearence. It can take control of any NPC in the game.

Occupation: The controller/Mod of the game.

Mech's Name: All non operated Mechs.

Bio: Originally a Moderator for the Game, he was devastated when his sanctuary was cordened off. He hacked in, knowing his way around the System like the back of his hand. He tried to destroy the Virus, but it killed five of his six mech. He was left with his worst and last one. He then saw the Virus as a way out, and went to work with the virus, being it's second in command.

Personality: Originally a friendly, happy person, he was a respected user, known for beating the game's main boss three times. That was why, when the virus came along, people doubted they could beat it. He is now usually angry and shows no mercy.

Name: Brother Odysseus

Bio: "Odysseus was once the commander of the armies of a great emperor, and his most loyal follower. A proud and noble warrior, he was undefeated on the battlefield, until he was killed whilst evacuating his men from the midst of enemy territory. His remains were brought back to the Emperor's palace, and placed inside a specially constructed Dreadnought war machine, one of the very first mechs ever built, from where his spirit was able to protect his lord, even in death. The empire he helped build may have fallen, but Odysseus is still there, watching over the emperor's tomb."

Brother Odysseus was added to the game as part of an event, wherein players would have to defeat him to gain an item. Because the mech is of a design unavailable to players, he was a target for hackers attempting to get the design. Due to several of them trying at the same time, however, he became detached from the game engine and beyond the control of the game's designers (although he could still be removed by deleting his files). He now operates much like a player, aside from the lack of anyone in the real world in control, although his programming means that he won't leave the tomb he's supposed to guard unless he can be convinced of the seriousness of the situation.

Personality: Disciplined, intelligent and very much loyal to his emperor.

In-game Appearance: Quite literally a collection of bones, placed in a box about the size of a man's upper body.

Do they control a mech?: Yes. In fact he is the mech.

Occupation: Guarding a tomb. If the player gets past him they get a 'Royal Cloak', which is a fancy white cape for the mech that doesn't do anything useful.

Mech's Name: Brother Odysseus.

Mech's Fighting Style: A mixed fighter, it has both long range and combat weapons, both of which can tear though most other mechs. It is well armoured, and can stand quite a few hits. However it isn't very agile, and although it can get up to a fair pace, at higher speed it can't even turn a corner.

If anyone else wants to use a 40K dreadnought as well I can change the bit about not being available, or it could have been made available after the hacking incident, or as a prize or something.

 

Edit: I changed the gun on my other character's mech. It's not anything major, so I don't foresee a problem, but I figured it's better that I point it out now rather than it come up in the middle of the RP.

 

Edit 2: Since we haven't started yet, it might be better to have this thread moved to the new OOC forum, rather than having the RP start on page 4. Obviously since it's not my RP it's just a suggestion.

The OoC fourm is up?! Well if that's the case, then I agree with Pysduck here. But since I'm on a school computer, my time is rather short. So with that being said. We start!!!!!

 

Before we actually start:

 

To Borealis: Well pardon my language, and the part about the mech, well I like the character app that he made, and would like him to keep using it. Besides, how many over the top, cliche characters have we seen in other stories?

 

All the Apps that came before this post, are accepted. Except for then one about the virus. Since I was orginally gonna play the Virus, but because of my hours, I really don't have enought time to do much around the RP. (plus we really need some baddies here)

 

Now we START!!! (MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!)

In the middle of a grassy plain, Lucas was lying on a hill, motionless. After a few moments, Lucas began to wake up. "Ugh............. What just happened?..........." Lucas asked himself as he slowly sat up. He looked at his hand and then at his clothes which seemed different than his usual attire. "What the? These clothes......... These clothes are the same clothes my character wears." Nearby was a flowing stream, Lucas slowly walked over to it and looked into the water.

 

"What the?!" Lucas exclaimed as he fell back onto his butt. He then hesitantly stared into the stream again. "Wha-what's this?! Why do I look like my character from my F.A.R. account?!" Lucas asked himself, confused by what is transpiring. "And how did I end up here?" Lucas asked himself as he stood up from the ground and began to look around. "I really hope this is a dream.........." Lucas proclaimed as he wandered around the grassy hill.

 

"The last thing I remember happening was that I was hacking the game's server, and next thing you know, everything went black. I must've passed out. But how did I end here and in my character's body?" Lucas asked. His face then comically became grimmer as if he realized something bad. "Don't tell me............. My mind's been transfered into my character........... That's not possible is it?" Lucas asked nervously. "Maybe this is just a dream! Yeah that's it, I'll just pinch myself!" Lucas exclaimed as he try to pinch himself on his arm.

 

Just then, Lucas' A.I., Yumi appeared and stopped Lucas before he could pinch himself. "No Lucas!" Yumi exclaimed as she grabbed his hand and pulled it away from his other arm. "What the?! Yumi what do you think you're doing?!" Lucas asked frutratingly. "No! No! No! Yumi will not allow Lucas to hurt himself!" Yumi exclaimed as she struggled to pulled Lucas' hand away. "Stop it Yumi! I'm trying to wake up from this ridiculous dream!" Lucas yelled as he struggled to pinch himself. "Lucas is already awake! Yumi's job is to protect Lucas!" Yumi proclaimed.

 

Soon both of them stopped and fell to the ground. "{Panting} Yumi, I'm not asleep am I?" Lucas asked tiredly. "{Panting} No Lucas........ Will Lucas promise Yumi that he will not try to hurt himself?" Yumi asked tiredly. "{Sigh} Fine whatever, it's not like I can do it anyways, you always stop me. You know Yumi, you can be TOO overprotective." Lucas proclaimed. "Yumi will do anything to keep Lucas safe!" Yumi exclaimed as she ran over to Lucas and jumped onto his shoulder. "Yeah, yeah, whatever........." Lucas said as he stood up and began walking.

Gilbert sat in the cockpit of the mecha, looking through the viewscreen at the numerous opponents ahead of him. All of them were of the same design, a lightweight mech that posed littled danger alone, but were found in large numbers, making them rather more of a problem.

 

"How many," he asked, double taking at the unfamiliar sound of the voice.

 

"Seven," another female voice rang out, as a pink hemisphere set into the side of the cockpit flashed. "Maybe we should go back. Seven on one is steep odds."

 

"Relax, E.E., this is nothing. Besides, they're not exactly a hard design to take out," Gilbert replied, having his mech lower the lance it carried before rushing at the opponents, ready to strike. The tip slammed through the cockpit of the first mech, the frame collapsing around it as the lance-tip spun into another opponent. A third attempted a pincer movement, but the shield in the mech's left hand split, and one small missile later it was another wreck. By this point the lance had been withdrawn from the second mech, and as the next group moved in Gilbert threw the lance into the cab of a fourth. The next one rushed passed it, only to be hit with two explosive rounds from the boltgun on the arm, which plucked the lance from it's victim, launching into a spin. As the mech turned, gilbert reversed the lance, ramming it into the sixth mech whilst the boltgun opened fire into the seventh. Both mechs, like the others, exploded for no apparent reason, leaving the Uther as the clear victor, pulling the lance free of the wrecks.

 

"See, E.E., I told you it would be easy."

 

"But they could have hit you."

 

"They didn't even open fire, besides which if they'd even come close to hitting you'd have put the energy shield up, wouldn't you?"

 

"I guess so, but you still shouldn't be so reckless."

 

"Maybe not," Gilbert conceded, pushing an unfamiliar strand of hair out of his - or perhaps more aptly her, he mused idly - face. But seriously, who though it was a good idea to have an A.I. for a war machine that wants to run away from any fighting. Oh well, it's better than a blood knight I guess.

Jason groaned, and opened his eyes. The world he saw was not his own. Confused, he pushed himself up. With a start, he noticed that he was wearing the exact same outfit that his character in the F.A.R. game wore. How curious? he thought as he looked around. All of a sudden, a small blue ball of light zoomed out of nowhere. Jason just stared. It couldn't be! But it was. He recognized the color, the motions, and the pattern. It was his A.I., Zero. Jason stood cautiously up. "Zero...is that you?" he asked, placing a hand against a nearby tree. The ball bobbed up and down in answer. "What...what happened?"

Ian sat up. He felt dazed. He groaned and slowly got to his feet. "Ugh, where-" He looked around at the landscape he was in. It was a grassy field that he'd seen before. He looked down at himself. "These clothes... WAIT!!" He felt around noticing his school uniform was gone and his hair was spiky. "Thats right." His A.I. Clause appeared before him."Clause?" He looked at the small angelic child like avatar float before him. "I suppose you've figured out." His A.I. looked at him with a cold stare that pierced through him like a spear. It didn't phase him though. "I'm in aren't I." Ian looked around more. Unusual birds flew overhead. Yep. This is exactly what he thought it was. "F.A.R." Ian said. "Theres just no way. No way!" He jumped and yelled happily as if it was Christmas. "I don't see your enthusiasm." Clause was not amused.

 

"The last thing that I remember is hacking the game for one last play through but..." He looked down at his new body. "Your mind must have been transported." Clause said unamused. "This is so cool! So if this is far then..." Clause looked around "I suppose you get your mech." A giant cube like grid appeared before the two of them. A massive thing began to shape. Two arms with guns attached formed on the still forming torso. Two guns on the arms formed and folded back and revealed a pair of hands. Two legs then appeared. Solar panels grew of the back of the torso. The grid disappeared to reveal a huge mech standing before Ian and Clause. "Well... step in." A huge grin appeared on Ian's face. A sphere on the lower torso opened to reveal a seat and joysticks. Clause waved his arm and a purple wave of energy appeared under Ian's feet. He began to rise to the cockpit. He jumped in and sat down. Clause flew up beside him on his black purple wings. He flew to the back and started to float in a flat, iron, basket like object. 4 holographic screens appeared before the A.I.. The door of the cockpit closed in front of Ian. Many screens appeared before him. He clutched the controls and the metal giant began to float off the ground. The solar panels rose and made it look as if the mech had wings. The jets roared and the mech launched of the ground and into the lower atmosphere. The mech was designed for this feature. He scanned the ground under him. A huge mass of weak enemies covered the ground beneath him. He stopped and hovered where he was. The guns on the arms flipped forward, covering the hands. The mech's eyes glowed a bright red. Inside the cockpit a sight appeared on the view screen. He took aim. He held his breath as he fired a huge barrage of shots. None of them missed. He was pleased. He wondered if anyone else was in the same situation he was in. "I see a few life forms. They look human." Clause said. "Alright then, lets go take a look shall we?" Ian pushed forward on the controls and the mech rocketed of to its new destination.

After a few hours of pure blackness, Xander's eyes opened in a flash, with a small grin growing on his face. "Perfect. I hacked into this game." He felt his long, white hair, and noticed his A.I. appeared before him. "Hello, Reflect." Xander fixed himself, and stood up. He also noticed he was in a large field, with something that looked like a small village, far off. Reflect, his A.I., flew over his shoulder. "It seems you have succeeded into hacking the game. You perfectly executed the hacking, as well. I am impressed." Xander heard his A.I., and looked to his right, where his A.I. was. "Thank you, Reflect. Please tell me where Lunar Eclipse is." He began walking straight, with his back straight, and shoulders high. "Lunar Eclipse? I've stored his data inside my body. If you would like to access him, just ask." Reflect then started following Xander. "I wonder where the girls are..." Xander thought to himself, as he was aimlessly walking, looking for company.

Zero bobbed up and down, and moved in sideways motions. Jason knew that this was Zero's way of taking a breath, and that he was getting ready to explain everything. "It would seem, JCPilot, or...Jason," a small metallic voice said, "that the moment you attempted to hack yourself into the world of F.A.R., your mind was instantaneously transported into the game's dimension." Jason blinked, taken aback. "Yes...shocking, isn't it?" Jason nodded. "Perhaps this will cheer you up a little." The blue orb glowed, and a giant solid-red cube appeared behind it. Lines spread down along the cube, and the red disappeared, leaving a cage-like grid, and revealing Jason's Mech. It was a behemoth, with three-toed backwards jointed feet, a cylindrical cockpit with machine guns mounted on either side, energy-weapon-bearing arms that sprouted out then down, hanging like weights, and two cube-like missile launchers on each shoulder.

 

"That's...that's Starfire!" Jason cried out excitedly. Zero bobbed in acknowledgment, and moved towards the mech, indicating for Jason to enter it. He complied eagerly, and climbed the ladder that led up to the cockpit. When he entered, he hit a flashing button, and the ladder retracted into the Mad Cat's side. "This is so cool..." he muttered to himself.

Lucas continued his way on the grassy plain, confused about what is happening. "If this isn't a dream, then I'm a whole lot of trouble........." Lucas said to himself. "I wonder if I can activate my mech?" Lucas asked himself in a curious tone. Lucas then pressed a button on his watch and a blue circle surrounded him. The blue circle then transformed into a giant mech. "Sweet! I can activate my mech!" Lucas exclaimed. He then pressed another button and a blue circle surrounded his mech and then his mech disappeared. "Maybe I should try to find someone for some answers." Lucas said to himself.

Jason turned his head...and stared at all the blinking controls. "Uhh...Zero, how do I work this thing?" He looked around, trying to pinpoint Zero. He knew the A.I's general location, but it seemed that he was not quite there yet. With a quiet POP!, Zero appeared inside the cockpit.

 

"Don't think...just feel," his metallic voice said. "You know this." Jason nodded, and muttered to himself ("yeah right..."), then looked at the controls. He reached out tentatively, and rapidly hit a series of buttons. With quiet whirring sound, the Mad Cat activated. He soon realized that he did know how to pilot this thing. He began walking in a direction (he wasn't looking at the compass), and sighed as the relaxing sound of the Mad Cat's booming feet hitting the ground. Seeing a red light flashing, Jason concentrated again. He checked his info screen. "Life detected: 1 km" it read. Jason peered out of the cockpit, brushed his in-game white hair out of his face, and checked again. There it was...a boy, who had to be somewhere around Jason's age, was walking away from him farther ahead.

Xander continued along his path, after walking for hours. Personally, he didn't care at all. He personally and honestly loved the concept of being stuck in a huge game. Around him, the sky was slightly darker. "Reflect, if you have a map or radar of any sorts, please allow me to see it." Xander made a fist with his right hand, and instantly flattened his hand out, again. He always did find this certain stretch a bit comforting. "Deepest apologies, I do not have anything of the sort." The A.I. strongly replied, with a feeling of uncertainty from it's voice. "Thank you. I guess I'll just look for people..." He decided as he noticed several people up ahead.

"{YAWN!!!!} Man, I guess passing out wasn't enough sleep for me......." Lucas said to himself as he was streching. "So Lucas, what are we going to do now?" Yumi asked curiously. "Well, like I said before, we should try to find someone and ask them what's going on. If we're lucky, they might just be a player instead of those good-for-nothing A.I.s." Lucas proclaimed as he continued to walk. He then noticed faint outlines of several mechs spread out in the distance. "Huh, hey that might be players!" Lucas exclaimed as he ran towards the closest mech.
