Rise of the Crescents [Accepting/Started]

As the storm came closer to Lucas, Lucas tried to activate his powers but nothing seemed to happen. "What the?! My powers aren't working!" Lucas exclaimed. The monstorous storm then sucked up Lucas and spinned him rapidly within the cyclone. "AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Lucas yelled in pain. He then noticed a shine coming from the cyclone wall. The shine was oddly in the shape of a crescent. Lucas' chest then started to shine. His crescent mark had reappeared on his chest. "STOP!!!!!!!!!" Lucas yelled as the cyclone disappeared and Lucas fell to the ground.

 

Lucas slowly stood up from the ground. "Ugh............ Man, now that hurted.........." Lucas said as he walked slowly towards the edge of what appears to be a cliff. As Lucas stopped and looked over, he found himself high up in the sky. "Gah!!!" Lucas backed up quickly and turned around. What he saw was a whole civilization in the sky. "What is this place?" Lucas thought to himself as he wandered into a huge palace. There he saw a giant crescent-shaped crystal. "Huh?" Lucas wandered closer to it, but before he could reach the crystal, he suddenly woke up.

At first, he was meeting crescent marked people. Now, they're having odd dreams... Something is happening, but Trent can't tell if it's bad or good.

 

"Hey guys, we're here."

 

It was his hideout. He quickly ran inside and dug in to find his encyclopedia. Good, it's still here. Then he dug around for his whistle. It took him five minutes to finally find it.

 

"We're all set. We're sleeping here tonight. Tomorrow, we'll ride a Flying Whale."

 

Trent wasn't very sure that it was going to work, but a wise monkey once told him that he believed in something hard enough, it'll come true.

"{YAWN!!!!!} Man, I just slept and now I'm feeling sleepy again. I wonder if that's an after effect of that stupid knock-out flower. Heh, maybe we could use that as a weapon against the Shine Soldiers." Lucas stated confidently. "Hey Trent, where are we going after we get a Flying Whale?" Lucas asked curiously. "We should go somewhere safe, where there are no Shine Soldiers. That way, we can plan out how we're going to destroy the Shine Army." Lucas explained. He then pointed to the unconcious girl. "And how about her? We should keep a close eye on her. In case she wakes up. Then we'll have trouble......." Lucas stated.

OoC: And now its time for my dream

 

"Well i could definatly provide a flying whale, maybe even two or three at that, i used to live with a couple for a very short period of time and they wouldn't mind helping me out at all" . Britney said as she looked at a flower in Trent's hideout. ""Wow that looks nice" . Britney exclaimed as she snatched it quickly and put it in her hair, suddenly she felt drowsy and realized she put a Nightrose Flower in her hair. "Nighty Night guys" . Britney managed to say before she fell to the ground and she began snoring loudly.

 

In Britney's dream she was slowly stepping towards the ocean, it was a nice sunny day but in the distance their were a few dark clouds. She stepped into the ocean and began swimming wildly out into the sea. She finally stopped to take in a few quick breaths and then she began swimming back into the ocean. Before she noticed it the clouds were above her and she was out in the sea, far away from the land, she drifted out into the sea from the currents being caused by the storm.

 

She tried swimming back to land but her efforts were worthless against the power of the storm. She was suddenly sent underwater by a huge wave that hit her. She came back up and she barely had time to take in a breath as she was once again swept under the sea. Then something caught her eye, it was something that looked like a crescent that was shining brightly. She began swimming towards it her chest began shining and then her Crescent Mark appeared above her ribs. She outreached her hands, about to touch the Crescent but then she woke up abruptly.

"We're going to Aquatis City," Trent said while looking through his encyclopedia, "but this doesn't say where it is. It only says, 'Where a city has risen, a city has fallen.' Do you think you know what that means? By the way, what was your dream like?"

 

Maybe if Lucas had the same dream, he can tell his.

 

"Hey Brit-"

 

He was about to ask Britney a similar question, but she had fallen asleep. Trent grabbed the Nightrose Flower, covered his nose, and put it in his pocket.

After Lucas heard about what Trent asked, Lucas became nervous. "(A city has fallen........ Could it be Aquatis? And the first part, where a city has risen. Could it be the one in my dream......... This is getting all too weird.)" Lucas thought to himself as he turned to Trent.

 

"Umm, Trent...... About the thing you just read........ In my dream, I was at a city........ A city in the sky........" Lucas stated as he placed his hand on his chin. "Strange isn't it? Where a city has risen, a city has fallen........ Could the fallen city be Aquatis? And could the risen city be the one in my dreams?" Lucas asked. "Well, Trent, what do you think?" Lucas asked curiously.

[Twig]

"About my dream...I was at Aquatis. Isn't it odd? Us meeting and now this. I think Ceodore had a dream, too. Britney, what about you?"

 

Trent thought for a moment, but then he remembered he was trying to figure out where Aquatis City was.

 

"The book is pointing out where Aquatis City is. If you're correct, Aquatis City is below a flying city, but that's impossible. All the flying cities I read about in this encyclopedia says they're all above mountains, valleys, and other things, but never sea. And our dreams, it make sense they're trying to lead us somewhere."

Lucas was surprised that their were other flying cities. "Wow really? Well that's unique. The city in my dreams, it looks like an ancient civilization. Are the other flying cities still in operation?" Lucas asked curiously. "Hmm, I wonder how are we going to reach all of those places?" Lucas wondered.

 

He then turned his attention to Britney. "Hey Britney, are you alright?" Lucas asked concerningly. "Did you also have one of those strange dreams like Trent, Ceodore, and me?" Lucas asked curiously.

[Twig]

"Hold on a sec," Trent said flipping through the pages. "Aha! Here it is. There are five flying cities in operation today. There's Grandcan City, Cristal's Military Air Base. There's Cloudriftica, a city hidden in the clouds. There's Airtopolis, a city you would travel to for fun, not living. There's Skytown, just regular city in the sky. And then there's Aeroport, a port city for flying ships. I don't think any of those look like ancient civilizations... Did you notice anything else? Like the shape of the buildings, how cloudy it was, how high you were..."

"Hmm......... I do remember seeing some ancient statues there." Lucas replied. He then moved closer to Trent to see the encyclopedia. "I remember I was really high up, enough so that I couldn't see any mountains. I also remember some unique statues that were covered in moss. The statues looked like winged knights. I also remember a huge palace, inside was a giant crescent-shaped crystal." Lucas then saw what appears to be the statue in the encyclopedia. "Ah, here it is, the statue." Lucas stated as he point to the picture. "The statues of the Dawn Crusaders, located in the fabled city in the sky. The city was called Arcemeis (Ark-E-Me-Is), named after an ancient deity that controled the skies. This is it! This is the civilization I saw. Wait, they said fabled, does that mean it's not real?" Lucas asked concerningly.

After losing the others for a very long time and losing another wave of Shine Soldiers, Sean eventually found the others still in Wonder Woods. "That's where you guys were!" he yells in relief. "I've been looking for you everywhere! I turn my back for one second and you guys disappear on me? After that, I was pursued by another wave of Shine Soldiers, but luckily, I lost them for a while." Sean cleared his throat and asked, "So, where are we headed now?" Since he had only turned his back for a second, it was strange how his friends just vanished very quickly. He's not sure how that makes any sense, but he went along with what had already happened.

[Clair]

Jane was still fast asleep, her head resting softly on Trent's soldier. While asleep, she was harmless, just like any other girl her age. People seemed to prefer sleeping Jane over awake Jane...

 

She lapsed into a dream, and she realized with horror that she was having this nightmare again.

 

No please, not this one...

 

Jane was unable to resist her thoughts, however, and the nightmare repeated itself.

"You worthless piece of scum!"

 

Jane screamed as her father threw an expensive vase at her head, ducking as it crashed through the large bay windows. Glass fell like rain from the clear night sky.

 

"You're not allowed out of your room, ever!" her father snarled, picking up a grandfather clock this time. "Me and your mother can't have you wandering about the house with company over! We don't want them to know about our... one mistake in life!"

 

Jane paled. "I-is that what you think I am? A mistake?" she stammered, eyes welling up with tears.

 

"Shut up!" her father screamed, tossing the clock at her stomach. Jane fell to her knees in pain as her father advanced on her, malice raging in his eyes.

 

Suddenly, the moon outside seemed to light up behind Jane, the beams shooting through the shattered window. Jane felt a burning sensation on her right shoulder, and screamed. Her father seemed frozen in his tracks, as the burning subsided.

 

Her father quickly resumed his pace, but froze again as Jane started to laugh, almost crazily. Leering up at her father, her eyes glowed bright blue. The frightened man was suddenly rendered immobile.

 

Jane Saga had discovered her new Crescent power.

 

She made her father stand up against the back wall as she strolled into the kitchen. When Jane returned to the great room, she held a knife in her pale hands. When her father tried to struggle away, she quickly advanced on him, clamping a slender hand over his quivering mouth.

 

"Daddy... can we play a game?" Jane Saga asked innocently, raising the knife.

 

Moments later, she was skipping out of the mansion, her hands and dress saturated with blood. Giggling, chest heaving, Jane extracted a matchbox from the kitchen out of her dress.

Lighting a single match, she angrily reflected on the painful memories of the hellish mansion, making her hands shake with rage. She unsteadily tossed the match at the house and happily fell asleep when the structure around her lit up like dry cotton.

 

She was now in a mysterious city. Everything looked to be made of plated gold... everything was so bright, so radiant...

 

Jane looked to the sky. The sun glowed brighter here, it's golden light shining fiercely on Jane's face. Maybe a bit too fiercely. The last thing Jane could make out was that the sun was shaped like a crescent...

 

Suddenly, crescent flared up, and Jane screamed as her vision was blinded by a field of white light.

...

 

Sweating, she finally awoke. Jane looked around in surprise and shock. She was being carried. By that leaf-twirling boy in Darklight.

 

She growled softly. Jane didn't like him. She just wanted Lucas, her new toy and love...

 

Jane Saga bit Trent's ear. "Put me down!"

"Um, hey I've been in the background for a while but it looks like the girls awake." Terra was standing a little to the side trying to look cool near the group trying to figure out what everyone was talking about, seeing as he had never had any prophetic dreams before a lot of the conversation seemed to allude him. "Are we going to one of the flying cities, how are we supposed to do get there or get anything if you guys don't have a lot of money." "(I hope I haven't gotten into anything to weird but oh well.)"

Lucas was looking carefully at the encyclopedia, when he heard Terra said about the girls being awake. "Yeah Terra, we already know that Britney's awake." Lucas quickly said as he continued to looked at the encyclopedia. Then Lucas' face became grimmed and he started to sweat refusively. "Wait a minute......... girls?............." He then looked over and noticed that the other girl was awake as well. "G-g-g-g-g-gah!!!! She's awake!!!!" Lucas yelled as he stumbled backwards. Lucas then quickly jumped to his feet and unsheathe his sword. "Look, we don't want to fight you! We all have crescent marks. We should be working together!" Lucas exclaimed as he nervously stared at her. "(I don't know what to think about this girl.........)" Lucas nervously thought to himself.

[Clair]

Jane looked in the direction of the voice, and her face lit up when she saw her new toy. He had even brought a sword, too!

 

She slid gracefully off Trent, her gaze fixed on Lucas. However, Jane didn't feel like activating her crescent power now. Hearing the boy's plea, she giggled.

 

"I don't want to work together. I only want you!"

 

Jane pushed Lucas's sword out of her way and wrapped her arms around his neck, in a loose embrace. She licked her lips. He was perfect...

 

Leaning closer, Jane giggled again as she saw nervousness in Lucas's eyes.

 

"What's the matter? Are you scared of me?" Jane asked innocently.

Terra looked in disbelief at the seen he witnessed. "So we abducted your girlfriend? So, wait why did you draw your sword, this is making no sense I'm calling shenanigans." Terra realized that in his confusion he let his real personality out again. "(I have never slipped up this much but seriously a girl like that is all over him and he draws his sword on her something has got to be up, wait could she be a GUY no way...)" "So care to tell whats going on here don't tell me you got a mercenary cuz your girlfriend is to into you." Terra tried to regain his composer yet again.

OOC: It's kinda funny, all this time, Jane knows Lucas' name but she'd never even told him her name, LOL

 

Lucas' feet were shaking nervously, he knows what this girl was capable of. "(Arrg, man, I'm too nervous and shaky. Damn it! It's the same thing when I see a spider! I always get nervous and start panicking!)" Lucas thought to himself. His fear of what she could do to him made Lucas immobile. She made her way to him and pushed his sword aside. Then she gently wrapped her arms around him. "Am I scare of you?......." Lucas asked hesitatingly. "{Gulp} (I can't even say a few words without being completely paralyzed, and she's not even using her powers.)" Lucas thought to himself. "N-no, I'm not scared of you. I think we can work this out, so don't do anything rash." Lucas stated in a hesitating tone while trying to put on a brave face. "(C'mon Lucas, you're loosing it! Calm down!)" Lucas thought to himself.

[Clair]

Jane giggled at Lucas's frightened expression. She loved being in control...

 

"Rash? You sound so formal..." Jane hissed, smirking at Lucas's failed show of bravery. She laughed again, pulling Lucas closer to her, like she was reeling in a fish. Jane stroked Lucas's cheek with slender fingers as she leaned forward and kissed him again.

 

"Don't worry, Lucas," she crooned, giggling again. "You're mine. I would never let anyone hurt you..."

 

She wrapped Lucas in a tight hug, shooting vicious glances at the other members of the crescent group. Jane Saga rubbed Lucas's head, grinning at his weakness to her inescapable charms.

 

What a great new toy I have. It's a shame that I end up breaking my toys eventually... she thought, smiling.

Terra was surprised by the woman's action and more surprised by whats his names action, meaning there's more to her than just an attractive woman." If the need arises I could always taze her cuz this looks like its going to get into some S and M." Terra put his left hand on the rod on his back ready to strike at a moments notice. "(OH man, shes either a weirdo or he's gay, seeing his reaction hes probably not gay.)" "I don't care I'm getting paid either way."

Unfortunately for Trent and the group, they had been unknowingly followed by someone after their adventure into the city. The stalker was clearly after them, for she too was crescent marked - and on the side of the Shine Soldiers. The twigs cracked beneath her feet, the grass pushed into a clawed hand shape, and mud trails were being dragged as the belly, knees and palms of this stalker followed them. Even as she followed them, a wide, insane grin was on her face, occasionally splitting open and cracking a silent laugh, before shutting them again and continuing to stalk.

 

Oooo what have we got here? she thought to herself as she peered through the undergrowth, and at the now-awakening group. As she let out a silent laugh, she became careless of her movement, and accidently slipped, her claws loudly snapping a thick branch in half - loud enough for the group to hear.

Meanwhile, Mango was desperately looking for Trent again; having spent her time in Wonder Woods, wondering whether they were ever going to come back, she decided she would wait no more, and so took action. She now stomped her way through the woods, ducking, dodging, weaving, and twisting at every turn as a sudden leaf poked out, or a branch tried to catch her unaware. Eventually, she saw several moving blobs in the distance.

 

"Is that -" without finishing, she half-jogged half-ran forwards, then stopped again after a few steps. "Yes, it is!" She continued to move forwards, excited she was seeing them again.

Sideway pulled the hilt of his blade out, but sheathed it when he realised that it was just a deer. A flying deer, but a deer none the less.

"God I hate animals," He said replacing the sword, "Except the vicious ones, you know where you stand with them."

He cocked his head after hearing another noise in the distance, but shook his head laughing to himself probably another animal.

"If I'm right then there should be a back road pretty close by, I haven't been here in a while though so I maybe wrong." Sideway stretched his arms and gave a yawn, he wasn't really tired but yawning always seemed to make him feel a bit clearer. It worked and he stopped slowly.

"Hey Tinka... I have an idea, for you to practice your powers," He said with a grin, "Why don't you see if there is anything in that direction. Use your powers only and try hard."

Ceodore is still a little shocked at Jane's display, but all the while, he was still thinking of their dreams. Lucas's, Trent's, his own. Maybe even this girl had a dream while she was unconscious. What did it all mean? He started to think of Lucas's description of the flying city...

 

Wait a minute. That doesn't sound like the city I was in. Slowly, Ceodore realized that they dreamed of different locations. Hmm... maybe I should... Ceodore thought as he edged a little closer to Britney, and secretly stole her powers. Hmm... lets see. Ceodore used Britney's powers on Britney herself, then Trent, then the girl hugging Lucas. They had similar dreams! He also learned Jane's name. Just before Ceodore had a chance to use Britney's powers on Lucas, he heard a rustling in the bushes.

 

He turns to see another girl. "Oh, gawd. Another one." he said aloud. He walks up to the girl and uses Britney's powers to communicate. We are very busy right now, if you wouldn't-- Reading through her mind, he notices she has the crescent mark...

 

Oh! Umm...please stay! Just, um, wait here. Ceodore is nervous, not being the leader-type like Trent. To himself he thought: Oooh..What should I do?

[Naimo]

Perhaps Ceodore would have been more startled if he had realised how ferral she looked, with her extreme hair and rugged dress. She suddenly leapt and latched onto his shoulder, her muddy claws digging into his flesh slightly - but not terribly deep. Her eyes widened even more, and so did her grin.

 

"No," she murmured into his ear as a trail of silvery saliva ran between her teeth, and dripping onto him. Her voice sounded like she had just inhaled helium. "Don't go yet." She suddenly tossed her head back and cackled madly; immediately, her sound powers were kicking in, irritating anyone who was too close to her. Fortunately, it only lasted for several seconds, before she added into his ear, "Don't feed the Hyena." Another cackle followed.

Lucas couldn't move at all as the girl kissed him and rubbed his head. "(Ugh....... Damn it body!!! Move!!!!)" Lucas thought to himself frustratingly. Lucas then closed his eyes and remembered a past memory in order to forget about what's happening right now.

 

[Keva Island 5 years ago]

 

Near the shore of Keva Island, there was a man with white hair and a young boy that looks like Lucas. In the water was a small boat designed for one person. "Hey Lucas! I gotta go!" the man exclaimed waving towards Lucas. Lucas then ran towards the man and his boat. "Aw man, already?" Lucas asked. "Yep, sorry kid but looks like I'll have to see you later." the man responded as he gave a friendly smile. "Alright then see ya." Lucas said. The man then got onto the boat and started to sail away. "Hey! Be good alright Blondie!" the man exclaimed as he waved goodbye. Lucas' face then started to become angry.

 

[Present]

 

As the girl continued to hold Lucas in her arms, Lucas then suddenly have a wild outburst and slipped out of the girl's arms. "HEY WHO ARE YOU CALLING BLONDIE???!!! I'LL ANNIHILATE YOU!!!!!! JUST BECAUSE I HAVE BLONDE HAIR DOESN'T MEAN I'M STUPID, GOT THAT???!!! I'LL COME OVER THERE AND BEAT THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF YA!!!!!!" Lucas yelled angrily as he flailed his arms around wildly.

Tinka let the rocks fall to the ground. He nodded and closed his eyes placing his fingers to his temples. He heard murmurs. Those brats we've heard about should be somewhere. Tinka heard in the distance. followed by a few curses. Tinka opened his eyes. "Maybe we shouldn't go that way." He said. Shine Soilders He sent to Sideway's mind. Only two He pointed behind him. "Let's go the other way." He said turning around and picking up the stones and pocketing them.
