Rise of the Crescents [Accepting/Started]

Trent, standing in the center, spread his arms out. At first nothing happened, but then, all the trees surrounding him fell down. Dust rose from the ground and swirled around around him. When the dust cleared, a giant flood came. Immediately, the surroundings changed. He was underwater, but he could still breathe. Trent knew he was at Aquatis City, an underwater city abandoned thousands of years ago. He knew that because it was in the Cristal Encyclopedia.

 

Trent swam around, looking here and there if he was suppose to find something. Then, he saw it. It wasn't hard to miss since it was shining so brightly. It was a glowing crystal shaped like a crescent. He swam towards, but then he noticed the water was rushing into his nose and mouth. He couldn't breathe underwater anymore. Trent tried to swim to the surface, but there was no surface. He couldn't breathe any longer...

 

Suddenly, Trent woke up.

[Clair]

One moment Jane was in control, the next moment she was being blasted back by a small ball of wind. She flew against the back wall of the alley with a whooshing noise. Her dress ripped in the winds, and Jane fell to the ground, her eyes still flashing.

 

"You've been naughty..." she spat at Lucas, jabbing her finger in his direction multiple times, hoping to punish him. She wouldn't kill him yet, though. He was still her favorite toy, and she was sure they would play some more.

 

Thrusting her finger at Lucas one last time, Jane laughed sadistically, her eyes fading as she crumpled against the back wall.

 

Jane Saga fell into a dreamless sleep.

Lucas was now feeling even more pressure, to him, it felt like a flying whale landed on his chest. "AHHH!!!!!!!!!" Lucas yelled in extreme pain. Just then the girl fell into a deep slumber, and Lucas felt all of the pressure gone. "{Panting} Ugh..........." Lucas slowly stood up from the ground, stumbling while he was doing it. Lucas walked over to Trent and Ceodore. Just then, Trent woke up, his face looking like he was about to drown to death. "Tre-nt......... You're awake......... How are you feeling?............" Lucas asked as he looked back towards the girl. "(What should I do with her?........... I can't kill her........... I'm not an executioner.......... I can't kill her......... but she tried to kill Trent, Ceodore, and me............ Man, things are not looking good..........)" Lucas thought to himself.

[Twig]

Trent looked around. The Shine Soldiers were gone, leaves covered the ground, and his monstrous vines lay dead. He also saw Ceodore on the ground. Trent could see his body moving, so he is breathing. Good.

 

"Lucas, is everything alright?"

 

Then he saw her. It was the girl. Trent could tell she was sleeping. A smile was on her face. He walked towards the girl.

 

"You had your fun," Trent whispered to the girl's ear.

 

"Come on Lucas. Help me carry her."

Lucas walked over to Trent and the unconcious girl and picked her up. "I'm glad you're alright Trent, for a minute there, I thought we were dead meat, hehe." Lucas said jokingly while trying to put on a brave smile even after enduring serious pain. Lucas carried the girl on his back as he made his way towards Ceodore. "(Man, I hope she doesn't wake up and try to kill me again.........)" Lucas thought to himself. "Alright Trent, let's carry Ceodore up." Lucas said. "So Trent, what's our plan now? I seriously doubt that we can get any equipment here after what just happened. And what are we gonna do about her?" Lucas asked as he rotate his head towards the girl.

[Twig]

His plan. Trent finally had a plan. He has to get that crystal in his dream. He knew his dreams were trying to tell him something.

 

"We're going to Aquatis City," Trent said confidently, "and this girl is going to help us. But first, we need need to find a Flying Whale."

 

Trent thought it was crazy. Lucas might think it's crazy, too. Only a handful of people have been able to tame and ride a Flying Whale, and it wasn't easy to find. But he had an idea.

 

"We're going back to my home," Trent said, "back to Wonder Woods..."

Lucas was utterly surprised at Trent's response. "Aquatis City? But that place is a ruin, and underwater too. What possibly made you want to go there?" Lucas asked confused about Trent's actions. "And this girl almost killed all three of us. How do you suppose we keep her in check?" Lucas asked. Lucas then remembered a small town nearby by the named of Lunarheart Town. It was the place of a famous air ship builder. "Hey Trent, if we aren't able to tame a flying whale, then we should go to Lunarheart Town. It's just east from here. There's a famous air ship builder there. Maybe we could ask for his help." Lucas explained. "However that's just a backup plan. It's a risky shot due to a large Shine Army Base there, but that's our only backup, well, unless you have another plan of course." Lucas added.

[Twig]

Trent almost started to think that his dream was just a dream, that it was nothing else, but it felt like his body was being pulled into this. It's just odd, meeting all these crescent-marked people and then having this dream. He decided that he was going to go to Aquatis City, and no one was going to stop him.

 

"Do you want to hear a story? It was back when I was ten years old. I finally got my powers under control. I was walking through the woods, when I heard someone's voice. It was a monkey! A talking monkey! This monkey was old and hairy, but he was also smart. He taught me everything about how to live in these woods. He also taught me how to lure a flying whale. I'll tell you more later. Right now, we have to get to the woods."

Lucas sighed and then gave a relieved smile. "Hehe, you know Trent, this is gonna be one LONG adventure." Lucas responded jokingly. "To Wonder Woods it is! Looks like you'll have to carry Ceodore. Well c'mon then Trent, ya slowpoke! Let's go!!!" Lucas exclaimed energetically. "(I guess I made a lot of interesting friends these pass days, and maybe an enemy too.)" Lucas thought to himself as he stopped and looked up at the stars, raising his fist up into the air. "(I will find my father, I will defeat the Shine Soldiers, and I will protect my friends!)" Lucas thought to himself confidently. He then lowered his hand and turned back to Trent. "Alright! Let's go!" Lucas exclaimed with a happy smile.

[Jakeronijo]

Tinka nodded and stood up. The stones twirled in a circle around him as he walked ready to pelt anyone in the face if they bothered him. He didn't know where they were going or how they were going to get there but he was rather patient. He calmly stepped through the forest. The trees were rather thick and he could swear he heard things moving from time to time. A deer ran ahead of them before leaping into the sky and flying far away.

Ceodore is having a dream similar to Trent's. Except this is the first time he's ever had a dream like this. Also, it's in Crystal Cave. What am I doing here? I need to get back to Trent and the other kid...um...Lucas. He heads for the exit, but multi-colored crystals form around it.

 

"What?! Hey!!" Ceodore starts banging on the crystals, to no avail. After a while, he just sits down and looks at the pretty crystals around him. After a few minutes of just sitting, doing nothing, he notices something. The wall of crystals where the exit was, starts to glow. Sunrise? Ceodore thinks. He gets closer to try and see through the translucent crystals. It's still dark, so why are the crystals glowing? Ceodore barely makes out a small, C-shaped light in the night sky. ..no...Moonrise!

 

The crystals glow brightly. Suddenly a beam of light shoots through the crystal Ceodore was looking through. The light arranges itself on the back wall to form a crescent shaped bunch of glowing crystals.

 

A beam of light shoots from the cresent onto Ceodore. There is a burning sensation on his hand. After a few minutes the burning stops, and there is a glowing crescent mark on his hand.

 

"So I have my powers? But who could I possibly use it on?" Ceodore wonders...

 

Lets pick Ceodore up.

 

Lucas's voice rings through the cave. Ceodore gets an idea. His hand glows.

Outside of his dream, Ceodore's hand starts glowing, touching Lucas, and taking his power, also causing a slight stinging sensation.

Back in the dream, Ceodore get's Lucas's control of the wind. But instead, he doesnt forget. Ceodore uses Lucas's power to make a large ball of air and shoots it at the wall of crystals, which immediately breaks down. Crystal Cave dematerializes, and Ceodore is in the air. He looks around, he is on a cloud, near a city. A city in the air?

 

He looks to the tallest building. There is something glowing at the top...

 

Ceodore starts falling. Suddenly, he wakes up...

[Barian Warlord]

As Trent and Lucas were walking and carrying two people Terra happened to walk past seeing them. "Hey would you to like some help with that, neither of you look like your that great of shape and it couldn't cost much for my services." The person was a young man around the age of 14 with a crescent mark around his left eye he's has a rod on his back and a sword one each side of his hips. "You won't get a better price for something this shady looking everyday." "(Looks like I can make some money ya ya ya.)"

As Lucas was walking with Trent back to Wonder Woods, he felt a little bit of his energy drained out of him. "Huh, that was weird......... It felt like a little bit of my energy was just drained out of me........ It didn't hurt me in any way, but that still felt pretty weird..........." Lucas said quietly to himself as he continued to walk. Just then, a boy with black hair crossed paths with Lucas and Trent, and he offered to help with the bodies for a small fee. "No way buddy. We rather do it ourselves. One, I don't trust people who seems suspicious and two, we don't have that much money." Lucas explained. He then noticed that the boy had a crescent mark. "Huh, is that a crescent mark?" Lucas asked curiously.

[Barian Warlord]

"Ah, you finally noticed yup and its the key to my business, I'm a traveling Mercenary and I kinda need work. So how about you let me help you out and you'll pay me latter of course meals are included in my fee." "(OH, wait that was so unprofessional.)" As Terra caught himself he tried to look professional again. "It would be really difficult for you guys to get two people away from here without any Shine Soldiers finding you, but with an extra hand you might be able to do it." Terra smirked for no apparent reason.

Another crescent-marked! This guy might be trying to scam us, but it's not as bad as this girl who tried to kill us...

 

"Welcome to the team. We're headed to my hideout. I need to get some things."

 

Trent was referring to his encyclopedia and his whistle. He hoped no one had stole them while he was gone. He looked at Ceodore and noticed he was awake.

 

"Oh goodie. Did you happen to have an...odd dream," Trent asked, wondering if he too saw what he saw.

[.:Blu:.]

Lucas was shocked that Ceodore had already woken up without him noticing. "Gah!!! Ceodore, you're awake! You could've said something you know........" Lucas said to Ceodore. He then turned his attention to the black-haired boy. "It better not cost that much money......... We don't even have money to get something to eat let alone hire a mercenary......." Lucas proclaimed. "But I guess the more the marrier huh? Hehe, our team's growing." Lucas proclaimed giving a happy smile.

[Barian Warlord]

"So what is this group even doing? Are you guys like a prince and his guards traveling in secret, Spies from another country, or are you legendary heroes trying to find some legendary weapon to defeat a demon lord." Again Terra caught himself. "(RAAA why do I keep getting excited, calm down, calm down.)" "Or are you criminals on the run from the law." Terra tried his best to hide his excitement but he was pretty sure that they got his true character.

"Uh...what? Oh, sorry I'm a little drowsy." Ceodore said, as he got off Lucas's shoulder. "An odd dream? Well...I had this dream...where I was back at my home, Crystal Cavern, but I was trapped inside..." Ceodore continues to talk about his dream, but he has a weird feeling in the back of his mind. Did Trent have the same dream? Or maybe its just a side effect of using his power... "Hey, Trent. Why do you ask?"

 

Something tells me fate has a hand in our meeting.... I'm sure Trent and Lucas feel it, too.....Well, let's see how this plays out...

[.:Blu:.]

"No we're none of those, especially not thieves!" Lucas exclaimed. "Our mission is to put an end to the tyranny of the Shine Army." Lucas explained as he gave a confident smile. "Whatever it takes! We'll finally end the war for good! And we'll make sure that Cristal finally, will be a peaceful place to live! Count on it!" Lucas added. "By the way I'm Lucas, Lucas Avic! I also have a crescent mark, and my mark gives me the power of the winds!" Lucas proclaimed. "How about you what's your name?" Lucas asked.

 

Lucas then turned his attention to Ceodore who had just gotten off his back. "(Man, that was a load of my back, but I still have to carry this girl.......)" Lucas thought to himself. "I'm glad you're alright Ceodore." Lucas said.

[Twig]

"Let's just say we're soldiers," Trent said to Terra. "But not Shine Soldiers. We're against them."

 

Trent wasn't expecting anyone to have a dream like his, but Ceodore said he had this odd dream.

 

"I'm a little bored," Trent said ignoring Ceodore's question, "why don't you tell us about that dream?"

 

Trent wanted to make sure he wasn't crazy. Then, something caught his eye. It was a pink flower. It looked and smelled beautiful, but looks can be deceiving. He knew right away it was a Nightrose Flower. Nightrose Flowers can detect animals and use sleeping gas as protection if they get too close.

 

"Everyone stop!"

"Huh?! What?! What happened?!" Lucas exclaimed as he didn't noticed the Nightrose Flowers whafting in the air. Lucas moved around restlessly, thinking that there were Shine Soldiers nearby. "C'mon! Bring it on Shine Soldiers!" Lucas exclaimed. A Nightrose petal then fell onto Lucas' nose and a stream of gas was released from it. Lucas' vision then became blurred, and he started to stumble. "Ugh........... man, I'm feeling sleepy.......... nighty-night........." Lucas said as he dropped face first into the ground.

"Terra, and my mark gives me control over electricity, and yes its funny that a guy named Terra would use something other than earth if you make that joke then I'll break your lip." "(Okay that was good it sounded really tuff.)" "So you guys really are legendary heros, sounds like working for you will be pretty fun." "(Yes, another great line hopefully these will cover for my past mistakes.)"

[Twig]

Trent made the Nightrose Flowers die, but it was too late. Lucas fell asleep.

 

"Ugh. Now we have to carry Lucas, too. We have to get running. The sun is setting. Ceodore, Terra, carry Lucas. I'll carry this girl."

 

He kept a look out for anymore Nightrose Flowers, but fortunately, he didn't see anymore. His back started aching from carrying the girl. The sun was ready to fall.

 

"We can't stop. We'll just have to travel during the night. We're almost to my hideout anyways."

Lucas awoke in what appeared to be his home town, Keva Island. "Uh, this is.......... Keva Island.......... What am I doing here?" Lucas asked himself as he wandered around. The island appeared empty, no one could be found. Lucas wandered into every house, and wasn't able to find anyone. "Nobody's here......... Is this a dream?" Lucas walked into his own house and saw his mom, dad, and himself as a little kid playing. "Th-that's me........" Lucas walked closer towards the three, but then they disappeared, and the whole house changed appearance.

 

Lucas' house now appears like it was destroyed. Lucas then remembered about the storm that happened here years ago. He walked out of the house and saw that everywhere was in ruins. "Keva Island........... I forgot, this is how it ended........." Lucas thought to himself. He the felt a strong current of wind heading towards him. "What's this?!" Lucas looked to the direction of the wind, and to his surprise, a giant storm was coming towards him.........

Britney had walked closely next to Trent and she was reading Lucas's Mind. "Trent im gunna hold onto your shoulder to walk, im reading Lucas's mind and seeing his dream its rather.....strange" . Britney said in a very mystified voice as she grabbed Trent's shoulder firmly and continued walking. She gasped as she saw the house looked totally destroyed. Then she saw Trent in his dream, herself on the other hand could not be seen but she could see the dream. "Poor Trent this is no dream...this is just a plain nightmare" . Britney gasped in low tone as she continued walking while waiting to see what would happen next in Trent's dream.
