Rise of the Crescents [Accepting/Started]

Trent was heading back to his hideout. He had left the girl with a bunch of mangoes. She said she was looking for them, so Trent grew a mango tree.

 

Back at the hideout, Sean was still sleeping. He knew Britney was gone since she told him. She also told him that she met another crescent-marked. How many crescent-marked are in the forest? Himself, Sean, Britney, the girl who like mangoes, and now this boy Britney talked about. That makes five. Trent thought it was a little weird that he's seeing more and more crescent-marked people.

 

"I wonder..."

Jesse was in his shop, grinding away at some sword he'd been commissioned to fix. He whistled while he worked, completely used to the fact he was wearing his gloves near the grinding stone. He had done it so many times, he no longer considered them loose garments. As he was grinding the sword, the wheel caught his right glove, and snatched it off, revealing his crescent mark to the world. Jesse's eyes widened, and he dropped the sword. He thought, pertaining to the sword and glove. He picked the sword up, and cut his palm with it a little. Setting the blade down, he went to his bench to get some bandages out. He wrapped the bandages around his hand, obscuring his crescent mark from sight. He stared at the bandage turning red, as he thought about why he had to cut it. He was afraid of what the villagers would think of his mark's sudden appearance. Such was the reason for his now ruined glove. He began,

Lucas stared at the young woman as she was crazily rolling on the floor laughing. "(Arrg, have I just been made a fool off?)" Lucas irritatedly thought to himself. "Hey miss, are you just going to roll on the floor all day or what? It's not funny, that was just my, er, allergies acting up. (Allergies? Is that the best I can think of?)" Lucas thought to himself as he sat down onto the floor staring at her. "By the way, is this the exit of this forest?" Lucas asked in an attempt to try and change the subject.

Trent almost forgot that he was headed for Trotero. He immediately rushed out the hideout, forgetting to close the walls. He was running as fast as he could when he bumped into a person.

 

"Sorry."

 

It was the boy he saw earlier. Britney was also there, laughing on the ground. He didn't even wonder why.

 

"Wait, so you're the crescent-marked person Britney told me about."

 

It was yet another distraction that made him forget of Trotero.

"Huh, crescent mark? Oh that's right the mark on my chest. Well I guess I am, hehe." Lucas said as he stood up from the ground. "The name's Lucas, nice to meet ya." Lucas said as he held his hand out, awaiting a handshake and a response.

 

"Umm, do you know who she is?" Lucas asked. "Also do you have one of those crescent mark that you're talking about?" Lucas asked while smiling.

[Twig]

"Yes, I am a crescent-marked." Trent was careful of what he said. He still didn't know if he was good or evil even though he looks pretty friendly.

 

"Yeah, I know Britney, but not that much. I just met her yesterday. She can read and sense minds, just to let you know. So...why is she laughing like that?"

"Gah- I rather not tell you, hehe, it's pretty embarrasing...." Lucas said as he scratched the back of his head. "By the way, what are you guys even doing here? If you guys have those marks, the Shine Soldiers will be looking for you. That happens to me a lot...... {Sigh} Those Shine Soldiers could be really bothersome....." Lucas said as he fixed his clothes.

 

"Stupid Shine Soldiers, if I ever see one of them again, I'll make sure that unlucky soldier get a nice beating, courtesy of my fists!" Lucas exclaimed as he held his fist up and fire of determination can be seen from his eyes.

Britney Had Finally Gotten Up From Laughing And She Took In One Deep Breath And She Sighed. "Sorry Its Just I Sorta Laugh At Other People 'Allergies' And Pain Cause Its Funny TO Me.....Yes I Do Have Messed Up Humor But Thats Just Me SO Whataya Gunna Do ABout It Its Just Me Deal With It" .

 

Britney Said With A Sarcastic Voice On The 'Allergies' Part. "Well ANyway We Should Really Get Moving Cause I Honestly Dont Trust This Place At All, And I Definatly Do Not Wanna Go ALone I Mean A Small Girl All Alone In The FOrest WIth No One Around Her, Do You Really See How It Just Writes Itself Like Seriously, I Should Just Put A HUge Blinking And Flashing Sign That Says 'Kill Me Please' Like Seriously Please" . Britney Said In One Breath As She Looked Around Panically And Curiously As SHe Said. "Thats Strange".

"I've been in Wonder Woods ever since I was eight. Long story. Besides, my powers work well here, and I have pet to take care of. Oh right! Trotero! I forgot about him!"

 

Trent ran off without saying goodbye. He didn't even watch out for soldiers. He continued to sprint all the way. He was close to Trotero's usual sleeping spot. Finally, he made it, but he was too late. Trotero was flat on the ground, his shell ripped off. He was dead. The soldiers had taken his shell. The turtles were rare in Cristal, and their shells were often used as all sorts of things, mostly shields.

 

It was a horrifying thing to see. Trent couldn't take it anymore. He took out an orange, Trotero's favorite food. The seeds inside the orange started growing and growing. Soon, a beautiful orange tree had covered Trotero's body.

 

"I will get revenge," Trent whispered.

"Well it seems you're finally finished laughing. And your name's Britney, well nice to meet you." Lucas said as he stared at Britney smiling. "I wonder if that other guy found whatever he was looking for? I think we should go check on him." Lucas said as he ran in the direction the other boy was running.

 

Lucas stopped and saw the boy, in front of him was a beautiful orange tree. The boy was very upset. "Umm, are you okay?" Lucas asked worryingly.

Britney Had Just Rolled Her Eyes And Face-Palmed Herself. "Boys, So Hopeless" . Britney Said As She Ran Off After Lucas And She Had Stopped Even Before She Was Near Trent. She Had Read Trent's Mind And Covered Her Mouth As She Made A Gasp. "Thats So Horrible" . Britney Said As She Sat Down And Finally Remembered About The Whales, She Hadn't Talked To Them IN A While And SHe Was Worried About Them. She Got Up And Walked Over To Trent. She Had Rubbed His Shoulder And Gave Him A Sad Look. "Its Alright Trent, He's In A Better Place" . Britney Said As Her Mind Wandered TO THe Whale's.

 

Hey, Whats Up Baby Why Dont You COme Down So I Can See You And Your Mom, Im Really Worried About You Guys So Come And Visit . Britney Sent Her Thought TO THe Whale Calf But She Never Received A Response. "Guys Im Worried, Well There's These Flying Whale's That Im Friends With And I Can't Hear Their Thoughts And They Always Let Me Hear Them And Its Really Scaring Me Cause Their Like Family Too Me" . Britney Said As She Began Looking Around Like Crazy.

Sean followed Trent, checking on Trotero. Of course, he only knew Trotero for a year, so he wasn't very trustworthy with Sean. "Trent!" Sean yelled as he went to his side. He then saw Trotero without his shell, dead. "Oh my God!" He then put his hand on Trent's shoulder. "If I had gone here, I would've protected him, but because I wasn't thinking at the time, it's basically my fault he's dead. I'm sorry." Sean felt ashamed and walked out. I am an IDIOT!! he thought.

 

As he went back to Britney and Lucas, he told them, "Good luck. I hope you guys will survive through the rest of the night." Sean continued walking as he began to hear stepping of leaves. Again, it was Shine Soldiers, so they might of noticed that some of their men have been 'missing'. He was shocked. "They're coming! Defend yourself!!" Sean opened his chest to reveal his crescent mark as it glowed and turned into his Battle Form. Then he waited for the Shine Soldiers to attack him as fire began to build in his hand.

"Kill them for me, Sean. I need to do something at the hideout."

 

He then silently walked away. He headed for his hideout. There, he saw that he had forgotten to close the walls of the hideout. Shine Soldiers were in the hideout. . As soon as they saw me, they started firing with ALS's(Automatic Light Shooters). The ALS's fired arrow-shaped beams of light. Trent ran to a nearby tree to take cover. One of the arrow beams hit the palm of his finger, and he let out a scream. It burned and hurt so much. Still, he didn't give up. He made large vines, and used them to whip the soldiers. Three soldiers were hit and fell down, but they weren't dead. There was still one soldier left.

 

"Good bye kid."

 

He shot straight at my face.

"What" . Britney Said As She Saw A Shine Soldier Shoot At Her. She Ducked Quickly As The Arrow Beam Had Just Easily Brushed Two Strands Of Her Hair, The STrands Fell Off Her Head As Little Burnt Bits. "How Can You Guys Do This TO Me Im The Only Girl Thats Actually With These People" . Britney Said As She Flipped Herself To Dodge Another Arrow Beam, but Her Leg Came Down TO Quickly And The Beam Had Hit Her Leg. Her Whole Body Surged Forward As She Landed On The Ground In Pain.

 

Britney Had Gripped Her Leg In Furious Pain. She COuldn't Move At All From The Pain inside Of Her. You Shouldn't Have Done That / Britney Thought Into THe Mind Of The Soldier That Had Shot Her. The Soldier Looked Around For The Person Who Had Told Him That Message. Britney Had Thought Of An Idea. Hello Boys Its Me And I Just Wanna Say Your All Gunna Die . She Sent The Message TO The Minds Of All Of The Soldiers As They All Looked Confused Trying To Find The Voice.

Jane Saga woke up.

 

She hadn't been asleep for long, but it still took her a little while to get used to her environment, a lush forest. To her left, she saw a large mango tree. Grabbing her whip, Jane lashed out at a mango, giggling as the fruit exploded with a flick of her wrist. She loved the feeling of destruction.

 

She whirled around as two Shine Soldiers burst from the bushes, ready to accost her. Jane smirked and put her hands to her face in mock fear as the soldiers walked up to her.

 

"Hey! Stop right there!" the one on the left yelled, pointing his ALS at her face.

 

"D-don't hurt me..." Jane cried in false horror. The soldier hesitated for just a moment, and Jane looked up at him, her eyes glowing blue, smiling wickedly.

 

The soldier suddenly felt his wrists jerk and snap, pointing the gun away from Jane and at his partner. "What are you doing?" the controlled soldier shouted fearfully. "Stop!" Jane playfully shook her head and giggled.

 

"I don't wanna..."

 

The mind-warped soldier screamed as he pulled the trigger against his will. His partner lay dead on the forest floor, and Jane was advancing on him now.

 

He tried to squirm away, but her mind power was so strong. Jane walked up to the pale face of the rigid soldier and leaned forward. Despite his fear, the Shine Soldier began to blush furiously. Just before her lips made contact with the controlled soldier, Jane snapped her fingers.

 

Moments later, the Shine minion fell to the ground, his neck broken. Jane laughed and decided to rest against the mango tree. After all, even a single use of her power tired her out.

Luck. It was all Trent can think of. Just seconds before the man shot, a Shell Fruit dropped down from above. Shell fruits were very rare fruits. They had shells that can survive an explosion. Because of that, they were often harvested. Soon, there were only a handful of Shell trees left in all of Cristal. The arrow beam was deflected by the Shell Fruit, and the beam hit the Shine Soldier's face instead. Trent had fainted because he was tired, sad, hungry, and he really thought he was going to die.

Britney Had Gotten Up, Moving Her Face OUt Of The Way Of Another Arrow Beam, All The Attack Were Centered Around Her, The Mind Reader. "Maybe You Guys Could Help Me Out Here" . Britney Said As SHe Ran For Cover Under A Tree. THeir She Had Found An ALS. She Grabbed It And She Had No Idea How tO uSE iT. She Was Aiming It At one Of The Soldiers When She Had Shot It, The Blast Had Hit The Soldier Right In The Face As he Crumpled Onto The Ground, Dead. The Other Soldiers Looked At Britney, Shocked tHAT sHE cOULD dO sOMETHING lIKE tHAT. Britney Just Smiled Wickedly As She Shot Two More Soldiers. One Was Left And He Began Running, Britney Shot Him In The Leg And He Was Stuck On The Ground.

 

Britney Got Up And Sat On The Soldier. "You Shot Me IN The Leg And Now Im Gunna Shoot You IN The Face" . Britney Said As The Soldier Began Struggling. Britney Gave Him On A Quick SMirk As SHe Held The Gun To His Mouth. "Good Night Soldier" . Britney Laughed In A Demonic Voice As She Shot The Gun And The Soldier Layed Still.

As the Shine Soldiers started to attack, Lucas quickly ran to a nearby tree. "Damn, Shine Soldiers! That's it, these guys are toast!" Lucas exclaimed as he pull out his new sword. He then covered the sword with wind, and dashed out from the tree. "Here I go!" Lucas yelled as he leaped up into the air and slash two soldiers with his wind blade while descending. The soldiers started to fire arrow beams at Lucas, with one hitting him in the arm. "Gah! Damn soldiers!" Lucas yelled as he pulled out the arrow beam and then cutting the soldiers. "So there's a lot of ya huh? Fine, then we just need to kick things up a notch!" Lucas then fired a giant wind ball at the soldiers, effectively blowing them away.

Tinka's telekinesis caught his wrists and his body jerked to a hault a few inches from the ground. He sighed and hit the ground. He would never fly at this rate. He got to his feet and brushed off his clothes. He needed to find more crecents on feet. So Tinka left the quivering woods with only one thing on his mind. And that was specials. He opened his hand and a quivering leaf floated out and then back into his palm. " I wonder if theres anymore woods around..." he said to noone in particular.

Sideway strolled through the market, casually looking through the wares of the stall holders. And ocassionally taking an apple or a pheonix pie. It wasn't actually pheonix meat in them, no one had been able to see one let alone kill one in years, or at least thats what was said. Whatever was in it though made your mouth burn like you'd just swallowed a live dragon, and it was angry. Sideway often thought that his skills were the best in Shine, but he knew that there were better all over the world, and to prove this to himself he often practised on the stalls.

He chose his victim, a burly man with an axe behind his stall, yet strangley he was selling childrens toys. Carefully he walked past and looked at what was on offer.

"Can I help you?" The man asked.

"No, you're alright. I'm just looking."

A stuffed dragon, that was what he would take. Carefully Sideway created his distraction, a solid shadow tower collapsing down a covered alleyway. The noise distracted everyone in the market, including the stall holder, and Sideway made his move. He took the dragon, hid it in his coat and made a break. Everyone was crowding around the alleyway, but they wouldn't find anything, shadow structures disappeared when he wasn't concentrating. Unfortunatley because of this, the man behind the stall had lost interest.

"Where's the dragon?" He asked himself before noticing the toy in Sideway's hands, "SOLDIERS! SOLDIERS! HE'S STEALING FROM MY STALL!" The man grabbed Sideways arm and slammed it down onto the stall table. Grabbing his axe the man swung it down barely missing Sideway's arm, but instead cutting a chunk from his coat, revealing his crescent mark. The man stared at it before screaming, "HE'S ONE OF THEM! HE HAS A MARK!"

"Now that is just unfortunate," Sideway whispered, pulling his arm away and dropping the dragon. He made his way through the crowd, people began pulling at him and his coat, apparently the fear of a crescent marked was making them angry and violent, but he was free of their grasp and making good space between him and the soldiers. Well he was, at least until the soldiers began shooting at him and he realised that he had reached the edge of the solid part before a sheer drop into the river. He grabbed a crystal blade form another stall and tried to deflect the arrows. He was unsuccesful, they weren't normal arrows they were AL arrows and they pierced his shoulder sending him spinning over the wall. He plummeted down into the water.

Trent had woken up in under the rare Shell Tree. Apparently, he was asleep for a full thirteen-hours.

 

"Am I in heaven," Trent whispered, thinking that he had died.

 

Then he felt pain in his left hand. He look at it and remembered his battle with the four Shine Soldiers. The Shell Fruit had saved him, and he was alive. His anger for the Shine Army was growing every second, but he can't get revenge, not alone. Then he remembered the others he had recently met. Maybe that's why he's bumping into all of them. Maybe they were destined to fight the war against the Shine Army and the Emperor. No, it couldn't be. Most of us are just kids...

 

Still, Trent wanted revenge. Somehow, he would have to persuade everyone to rebel.

Jane Saga awoke, her back leaning against the hard wood of the mango tree.

 

For a moment, she sat there disoriented, blinking her eyes furiously. She had used her power, and now felt the strain.

 

Idly, she picked up her whip and lashed it at the first mango she could find, hanging low on the strong branches.

 

The skin ripped open, and Jane let the sweet juices trickle into her mouth, loving her 'destruction and reward' policy. With a sigh, she pulled herself up and began walking aimlessly towards an undefined point, lost and dangerous.

Britney's Mind Began Racing As She Finally Remembered About Trent. Trent Where Are You Im Alive And So Is Everyone Else And Hurry up Give Me A Sign That Your Alive, Like Can You Grow A Tree Or Make A Tree Fall On Someone Or Just DO Something To Help Me Find You And See That Your Alive" . Britney Thought To Trent In A Very Firm Voice. "This Is SO Frustrating Trying To Find Boys" . Britney Yelled LOudly That It Echoed In The Forest.

Tinka walked along the path, he had been walking all day and the road should lead him somewhere. *KA-THUNK* He heard coming from a marketplace and he looked up in time to see an axe impaled into some wood next to a man with a crescent mark under his torn coat. Tinka smiled as his luck got better. He began to run and as he fraught off shine solders before plummeting over a wall into some water. Tinka cursed as his luck turned and he ran through the chaos to the other side of the market. No one bothered him as he sent out a telepathic warning to all around hi to stay away and he pulled his cloak over his hand to hide his mark. Open fingered gloves he thought to himself as he leaped over the wall. This would be hard. Tinka could barely support himself when he was falling and here he was playing superhero for a guy who probably could have saved himself. He focused on two things only. The other guy, and his feet. If he could support thejm against the wall and stop his fall and stop the guy from falling and grab his arm, they potentially could stay up. Tinka slowed to a stop and grabbed the guy buy the wrist. He felt as though his shoulder would give any moment but he put out his other arm. "I got you" Tinka said as they slowly slid towards the water. "Brace yourself at least we won't die." He said as he let go and they fell towards the water cushioned by Tinka's telekinetic wave that he let out before falling unconcious as he hit the water.

After a long day of fighting Shine Soldiers, Lucas decided to settle in for the night at a nearby hollowed-out star tree. The star tree's uniquely shaped fruit whistles and shine brightly when wind gently blows pass them. "{YAWN!!!!!} Man, I'm beat." Lucas said to himself as he lay down on the soft grass growing inside the tree. "I guess this sword did came in handy after all. Now I truly know that I don't regret buying it, even though it did cost me a fortune." Lucas then closed his eyes. "I hope the others are okay. I meet up with them in the morning." Lucas said as he fell asleep. "The next day Lucas woke up early and gathered all his things together. "Well, I better go check on Trent. His heart is broken because of the Shine Soldiers. Arrg, damn it......." Lucas said to himself as he walked off.
