R Thanks for the welcome. R

As she looked behind herself, Aurora only saw a glimpse before her saunter turned into jogging from the pure terror she saw. The birds continued to follow her- an evil chorus of singers who could fly. The same song continued to play, a song she now understood as dread. And as her shattered glass took a final blow, the last layer of protection peeled off, she realized the truth. She was in danger, and if she didn't get out...

A big gulp revealed her worries. She as she was running, a root came out to purposly trip her, and it did, causing her to fall, and her terrors to now be realized. The birds flew away, now she did not need a chorus to frighten her, she was already out of fright. In front of her, the land never crossed. Behind her, and abyss, no, a fog, of white nothingness engulfed the ground and the trees, removing them from reality at touch, it seemed. And it came rushing at her, this white emptiness, until the ground around her was taken away, the scenery was taken away, and all that was left was her falling through an endless abyss.

She then woke up to the sound of a bluejay.

Unlike the first time the furry book opened, no animal came out. Both lady and Trent were confused. Why didn't any creatures come out? Trent walked over to the book and was bewildered. It was a wonderful paradise like no other. Unlike a picture, the scene in the book moved. It looked like an animation, something he read about in his encyclopedia. Animations were a bunch of pictures moving in fast speed, making it look like the objects were moving. But books didn't have the gears and gadgets to make animations. If looked so vivid and real. It felt like he could reach out, and grab some of the air. Trent did just that and was surprised even more. His hand went through the picture. He actually felt wind in his hand.

Trent finally figured out what it was. It was a portal. The book was filled with portals!

Ceodore kept on reading. He was learning all kinds of magic. But there was one in particular he wanted to try out. He stood up, looked to a wall, and pointed his hand to it. "Aperture!" A blue portal appeared on the wall. However, it didnt work, because there was nowhere for the portal to lead to. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Trent looking at a book. He aimed his hand at the floor next to Trent. "Erutrepa!" An orange portal appeared on the ground next to his friend. Now the portals worked because they linked to each other. He walked through the blue portal, and managed to balance himself out when he came through the orange portal. "Hey, Trent! Look what I learned how to do!"

Ceodore then saw the fuzzy book Trent had. "Oh, wow! We both discovered portals!" he said, until he got an idea. He took the book and started flipping through it, until he found a picture that looked like Crystal Cavern---empty. "But..where's Cuore??"

Jane's body bumped fitfully against the ground in Cuore's feeble hold. In her mind, darkness was rapidly taking over. No one knew...

Suddenly, Jane's body began to thrash weakly, black fog spilling out of her mouth and nose. She gave a single cry before her frame was completely consumed by the fog, which wrapped around the girl like a silky, black cocoon.

Suddenly, the fog dissolved, revealing a woman that looked strikingly like Jane. She held a glowing whip in one hand, and a sword was hitched on her belt, which was tied to a tight black dress.

Her blue eyes glowed coldly, lacking the playful light of Jane's.

"Put me down," she said coldly to Cuore.

Lucas watched as Ceodore left to go to the library. He then looked back at the others. "Hey you guys wait here for a little bit. I need to go buy some supplies before we leave." Lucas stated as he ran off towards the direction of the general store. As Lucas made his way into the store, he looked around and found some medicinal potions that would be of great help on their journey. He also bought some food and water. At the register, a man was curious about something. "Umm, are you okay?" Lucas asked. "Well, I need help with something. You see, I created these special meals that are dried. Just add water to them and they'll become hot and ready to eat. I haven't really tried them myself but I was hoping you'll be my guinea pig, oops, I mean my tester. And they are absolutely 100% free of charge." the man explained.

Lucas was weary of the man's proposal, but Lucas was never the type to pass up a free meal. "Alright! I'll take 'em!" "Good, good, here you go." the man stated as he handed Lucas a large sack of the dried meals. He also handed Lucas a card with a calender on it. "I want you to record your oppinion on the different meals on this calender card. When it's full, just mail it back to me." the man explained. "Hehe, alright then! Thanks!" "No, no, thank you!" Lucas then left the store. As he exited the store, Lucas noticed a flyer in an alleyway close to him. Lucas then walked over and stared at the flyer.

Suddenly, Lucas' eyes widened with shock. The flyer was a wanted poster with the picture of his father on it. "D-d-dad?........" Lucas said in shock as he pulled the poster off of the wall and looked at it closely. "Baron Rune Avic, murderer of three former Shine Commanders and wanted criminal of the Emporer of Shine City. Wanted dead or alive for 57,000,000 Gold.........." Lucas fell back to the wall behind him. "No........ this can't be........." Lucas said to himself as his crescent mark on his chest started to shined brightly. Lucas' pocket also started to shine with an ominous black color. "Uh, my pocket....." Lucas stated as he reached in and took out the sphere from before. The sphere started to shine even brighter and flew up between Lucas' fingers. From there, it entered into Lucas' chest, where his crescent mark was located. "AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

Searching her surroundings, Aurora noticed she wasn't in the forest anymore. The first thing she noticed was the sound- rushing water. It came slowly but powerfully, and many different sources could be identified. Again, birds tweeted their songs as Aurora woke up, as if they were awaiting her wakening. The second thing noticed before te eyes were lifted was the smell. It was not a distinct smell, but a lingering one, one that past and went. It smelled of saltwater mixed with sulfur, a horrible odor no one could stand without scrunching their noses, and later, throwing up. But, again, it only came and went, so the smell was not strong, and soon just went away, replaced by the smell of clean air.

Now, her eyes took the commanding sense when they finally opened, and absorbed the details. What was first noticed was the small pool of water, crystal clear blue with no fish life or plant life within it. In fact, on closer inspection, if one looked deep enough, they would find that the body of water had no bottom, it was dome-shaped at the bottom, and it appeared as if the water magically filled invisible space. This was definately the center of attention for the area. Then, on the sides, was a patch of irregular ground which held on them the shore to this somewhat small pool of water, and mountians, which had inward curves at their tops, hovering over the lake and providing it water. The biggest source of water seemed to come out of nowhere, as if the clouds themselves created this rush of water. The area was surrounded by only sky, as if it were floating. Around it were islands of different shapes.

Aurora thought about this place. It didn't feel right. How did she get from the woods to this odd place?

"Portals, you can never predict them." Aurora joked as she started searching the area for a way to get back out.

"What the f***?!" both Cuore and Ceodore said simultaneously...

"What the f***?!" Cuore let go of...Jane? This, woman, though similar in appearance, seemed more...vicious than Jane. Cuore wanted to run, but on the off chance this was a power Jane had, she stayed. "Jane??? What happened??" Cuore didn't know what to do.

<>

--Simultaneouusly--

"What the f***?!" Ceodore heard Lucas's scream all the way from the Library. He rushed to where the scource of his screams were coming, and found Lucas, chest ablaze with light. "Lucas!? Whats wrong?!?" Ceodore didn't know what to do...

Trent flipped to the cover of the furry book. There was no title. It was just all fur. He carefully flipped through different pages. Anything might come out of the portal. At the back of the book, he saw some instructions. Why would the instructions be at the BACK of the book? Wouldn't it make more sense to put it on the fron? Trent shook off the thought and read the instructions.

The portals in these book can be accessed any time, but be careful. If you travel to a desired location, make sure no one will close the book. If the book is closed, the portal in the location you went to will disappear, and you can't go back. The portal reappears if someone with the book flips back to the page you are currently in.

At the bottom of the book, someone signed their name. It was clear and perfect. The name was "Trent". Impossible. I've never seen this book in my life...

The woman let out a cold, ringing laugh. "Jane isn't here anymore. You drove her away. She just wanted to be friends, but you Crescent people misunderstood her, as did everybody else!"

She lashed out with her whip, striking Cuore in the back.

"She was so sad, she turned to a source she did not fully understand... me," the woman said curtly. "Now that I'm free again, I'm going to make the life of every Crescent a living hell."

She advanced on Cuore, slowly but surely. The woman liked to hear her victims beg for mercy before she slew them.

"I'm going to start with you. And in the last minutes of your pathetic existence, you may have the privilege of calling me 'Razor'."

"Aah! F***!" Cuore screamed at the pain in her back. "Razor? What kind of name is that? Anyways, I don't care what you do to me, but I'm not gunna let you hurt others. I'm gunna get Jane back, even if I have to sacrifice myself." At this point, Cuore did something she never thought she would. She rushed Razor, and took her sword. She backed up, and unskillfully pointed her sword at her new enemy.

As Ceodore asked Lucas what was wrong, Lucas fell to the ground, screaming horribly. "AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Lucas then ran away from Ceodore, making his way to the lower part of the city, where there were a lot of buildings and people. The library was also nearby. "AHHHHH!!!!!!" Lucas screamed out, attracting the attention of everyone in the streets. Lucas then stopped with his screams.

Black liquid started to drip to the ground from Lucas' face. Lucas' hair started to grew longer, reaching the middle of his back, and his nails began to grow to resemble beast-like claws. Lucas' face changed dramatically. Lucas' sclera was a deep black color and his pupils were a bright gold color. Black liquid-like substance dripped from his eyes down his cheek. His teeth seemed to have sharpened. As he looked up, Lucas appeared to have an eerie expression. Everybody around him was scared and wasn't able to move their legs to get away.

Lucas held out his left arm and an ominous black wind started to form around his hand. The wind then burst outwards towards a nearby vacant building. As it made contact, the building was instantly decimated. A shockwave could be felt throughout the city streets. People were panicking and running around crazily trying to escape the scene. "RAWR!!!!!!!!!" Lucas roared out loudly as the same ominous wind began to encircle him. This wasn't the same Lucas from before, something had happened to him, and that weird black sphere could be the cause behind it.

"Idiot," Razor spat. "Look at you standing there with a sword that is bigger than you are!"

Razor lashed at Cuore's legs with the whip this time, hearing a satisfying crack.

"You claim to be fighting for the good side, Cuore," Razor sneered, "... but I don't plan on letting Jane go. And what has she done for you anyways? What has Jane Saga done for Cuore?"

Without waiting for an answer, Razor continued, twirling her whip threateningly. "Nothing."

"How could you want to be friends with her? You know, she let me take over her body so that I could rid the Earth of scum like you!"

She angrily swung at Cuore's legs again.

"Lucas wait!!!!" Ceodore yelled. He ran after his friend, chasing him to the south side of the city. Then, he saw the transformation. "OH MY GAWD!!!" Ceodore was freaking out as his friend turned into a horrible monster. "Gawd, what's with us and transforming? EVERYONE GET OUTTA HERE!!" he screamed, as people were running away. He quickly rushed up to Lucas and stole his powers, but then forgot what he was doing. He saw Lucas again, and remembered (not really, but he used logic)...

--Meanwhile--

Cuore screamed as her leg broke, causing her to fall over. "I don't believe you!! Jane must've realized that atleast I really wanted to befriend her." Cuore struggled to stand up, using the sword as ballast. "It doesn't matter if Jane hasn't done anything for me. I'm still gonna help her." Cuore's mark starts to glow. "I'll help her, just like I would anyone else." Her mark glows brighter. "Because, unlike you and Jane, I actually value other's lives. And I would do anything to protect it!" Cuore's mark intensifies to a blinding white light. As it settles down, Cuore feels energy flowing through her. "I have powers now???" She tried them out. Her leg healed almost instantly. "Woah! What else can I do?" She tried something else. Her sword started glowing white...

Lucas stared at Ceodore with an unfazed yet confused look. Lucas didn't remember who Ceodore was at all. He didn't even realize what Ceodore was doing by touching him. Lucas' instincts told him to kill as he looked upon Ceodore. "RAWR!!!!!!!!!" Lucas roared out as he released quite a mighty shockwave that pushed Ceodore back quite a distance. Lucas then took out his sword from his waist and the black wind started to form around it. "RAWR!!!!!!" Lucas continued to roar out, crumbling nearby buildings little by little with the shockwaves produced by his roars. Lucas then aimed the sword at Ceodore and threw it with immense force. The ground began to crumbled as the sword traveled above it. The wind made the sword rotate wildly, making the sword's movements hard to read.

OOC: You gonna need someone else to help or else this won't be pretty at all. Lucas has lost all of his control and won't recognize anyone.

Razor looked in surprise at Cuore's sudden transformation. But she smiled coldly when she formulated a plan...

"So, you value life, hm? The why are you aiming to kill me?" Razor hissed, leering down at Cuore. "Jane never wanted friends. Except me... I'll be her best and only friend!"

She snarled, bringing the whip down on Cuore as hard as she could. It was time to die for the Crescent... she would eliminate one and get the rest later.

Tinka held up his hands. Diverting a river hadn't been easy but he had managed to get a few gallons into the air. He turned to Razor and let the water go. It crashed into her back. Tinka had better control of his power and Coure was flipped into the air. A tree splashed into the water and she landed on it. Tinka created a telekinetic sword and swung it around. As the water flowed over razor and began to rush away with a high intensity the trio was shot down a man mad river.

"Dammit! Why couldn't we stick to research!" Ceodore screamed, as he was sent backward. When he landed, he saw Lucas's sword heading for him. Thinking fast, Ceodore pointed below him and said "Aperture!" He fell through the floor, and wad in the Library, next to Trent. The outside could still be visible through the portal. "Trent!! I need your help!!" he said as he grabbed his friends arm and pulled him through the portal.

--Meanwhile--

Cuore barely dodged Razor's whip. It was so close, she could feel the air distort around it. "I don't plan to kill you. I plan to defeat you." Cuore swung the sword, and a pulse of energy shot out of it, hitting Razor in the stomach. This is when Cuore was suddenly thrown into the air. She saw the boy behind Razor. "Tinka!" Suddenly, the area was rushed by water. A tree was knocked over, and she landed on it. Hard.

"Oh. My. God. What is happening?!" Trent was surprised to see a monster. It seemed that it came out of no where.

"Where did that thing come from?!"

Twig immediately went to work. He tried to look from nearby plant life, but Galdavan City didn't have much trees. He'll have to use that flower shop. He ran to the shop, where the flower lady was hiding under a table. Trent quickly grabbed any flower he can see. The flower lady started screaming at him, but he ignored her.

Razor swam effortlessly through the water. She knew now what she must do...

Without a hint of remorse, Razor released her hold on Jane's body. Black hair turned to cobalt hair. The black dress morphed into a white dress. Jane Saga had returned, however, she was unconscious.

Jane Saga was left to drown as the current that Tinka had created swept the party easily up the river.

OOC: Actually Twig, Lucas is still the same size, just different appearance is all ^_^

IC: Lucas began to rampage through the city streets, destroying anything in sight. Buildings after buildings were destroyed by Lucas' ominous black wind orbs that he produced from his mouth. "RAWR!!!!!!" Lucas continued to roar loudly. He began to jump onto the nearby structures, punching through the walls and destroying the interior with his wind orbs. Lucas now was just simply a rampaging monster, with no thoughts except to kill and destroy.

A couple of city soldiers arrived on the scene. They tried to shot sown Lucas with light arrows, but all of them shattered as soon as they made contact with him. "RAWR!!!!!!" Lucas jumped down, landing on one of the soldier, instantly killing him. A crater was formed when Lucas had jumped down onto the soldier. Lucas then disappeared and reappeared with quick speed. Grabbing one of the soildier's head and force it to the ground, creating a small crater filled with blood.

The soldiers then used their spell rings to form a barrier around this part of the city so Lucas wouldn't be able to get to other parts. One of the soldier ran up to Ceodore while another ran up to Trent at the flower shop. Both of them explained the situation of how they'll let them fight Lucas without damaging the city buildings. They also stated that they'll let any other poeple that knew them inside the barrier.

Aurora sensed a great disturbance, as if many people were in pain, but she shook it off. Her crescent mark appeared for a small second, but instead of being white, it was deep black, as black as obsidian, as if tainted, but immediately the sight disappeared. She got up and walked up to the pool of water, thinking of what to do next. She could make camp, but there was no food, only water. Bringing up that point, she instantly felt hungry and empty as her stomach gave a small grumble in approval. She looked into the water for her reflection- maybe she could fix herself up while thinking. She was covered in dirt and slime of great proportions, a few small twigs, and her shirt was somewhat ruined. But why, she hadn't been in many dirty places, and not for long. Was she so focused on what was ahead, she didn't really look at herself and where she was going?

Aurora sighed. Today was starting to get very odd, similar to when she left. But, even so, dirt is dirt, and no one likes it. Aurora molded her hands into a cup, and dipped it like she was always taught when in stuck in the wilderness. But the moment Aurora touched the water, a flash of acute pain rushed up her body, and a daydream sparked in her mind. Aurora did not fight back, she let the thought encase her, and show her what was needed to be shown.

At first, Aurora thought something wasn't working, cause it stayed dark for a long time. Then an image colored into her mind, one without sound, or touch, or smell. An film purely of sight rolled in the condensed part of a city she couldn't name. At first, she thought there was a parade with the masses of people all in this one spot. But when she got closer, she could see no parade equipment, which meant some type of commotion was going on. She looked around, a building seemed to have been destroyed, and something was on fire, so maybe a crash? No, too much damage...

The damage started to increase as buildings got knocked down. A few streams of light came and went, then a whole barrier was set up around the center of destruction. This... thing looked humanoid-ish, but it seemed morphed, as if something went wrong.

As Aurora looked at it, her crescent mark faintly appeared, the lines barely visible. She could now hazily recall a trip to this area not too long ago, which means the damage is recent, and since it didn't become news, being that this is a shattering event, it must have been happening right now. But what could she do? It's not like she could just jump into a portal and jump back out on that side.

Apparently, she had seen enough. The image faded, and she returned to reality. Though it may have felt like a few minutes for her, it was actually a second or two of time that passed. Now back, she was less interested in the current problem, but was more interested in how the pool of water did that. She stared- it didn't seem to have any visible magical properties. Then again, the water was floating. It might have been poisoned, and she was too ignorant to notice that. Aurora hated herself for being so careless.

[Light! =]]

"Get outta the way!" Ray shouted as he and Art made their way towards the... Beast. Art was seemingly franticaly weaving something with his gloved hands, his eyes closed with a look of serene concentration on his face. He was in step behind Ray as a knife was in his hand. His bow hit his shoulder as a weak net was thrown into his right hand. There was still a long distance between him and Lucas. Fastening the net, he sped up into an olympic sprint as he quickly cleared the distance as...

A giant wall of light appeared from the ground right above him, blinding him for a moment. He stumbled backwards, Art soon kneeling beside him, using one hand to block the light.

"Shine Soldiers." He stated bitterly.

Tinka saw the distinct change and ran up the river towards Jane. Telekinesis holding his feet on the surface. He tried to slow her with whatever he had, tried to lift Jane out of the water, but his telekinesis was weak since he moved the river. HE wasn't fast enough to best the current that took Jane further down.Tinka knew what he had to do. He focused all his remaining energy on his own body, lifting it up as he had lifted others, it was a wobbly ascension but at least he was getting somewhere. He was a few feet in the air and he looked ahead and moved his body in that direction. A little faster than he expected and soon he was above Jane. He maneuvered himself into a dive and grabbed her under the arms. His nose began to bleed with the new strain on his powers and he began to fade out of consciousness. "I must not.." If he went unconscious they would both die. He had to save her. When they were over the edge of the river they landed with a thud Tinka managed to get to his feet, only to get dizzy and pass out.

Cuore came to with an intense pain in her back, and used her newfound powers to heal her. Looking ahead, she saw Tinka and Jane both unconscious at the river bank. "Tinka! Jane!" She didn't know how to get there. The tree was on the other side of the river, and floating past them fast. Then she realized, she was still holding Razor's sword. She used it as an oar to paddle the tree to her friends. When she reached them, they had some pretty bad injuries. She used her healing powers on them. Tinka's nose bleed and Janes.....drowned-ness(???) was healed. But suddenly, there was a sharp pain in her chest. Though it subsided quickly, she wondered what it was...

--Meanwhile--

Ceodore was consentrating more on Lucas than the Shine Soldiers..or anything for that matter. He was thinging of how to bring his friend back to normal. That's when he realized he was still holding the book of Luminous Spells. He closed the portals from there and the Library and ran past the barrier. "Guys, I'll be right back!" he screamed. He sat down at the outside edge of the barrier and began shifting through the book, looking for a way to heal Lucas, but to no avail. For a minute their, he started to give up, when suddenly, the book flipped to another page, and Ceodore began to read:

Sideway fell over when the city started shaking. He dropped the food that he had stolen and looked around. He couldn't see anything, the buildings around him were to tall and close.

"Damn it! What the hell is that?" He shouted over the commotion and screams of people from all around. He looked up ath the roof tops a couple had chimneys which gave a weak, but useful shadow. He ran down an alleyway and straight through its shadows. The next moment he appeared through the chimney shadows and on the roof. There was something happening not to far from him.

"It's not my problem," Sideway told himself, "I've got to find out..." There was another shockwave and Sideway cursed to himself. He was just about to move forwards when a shield of light started falling towards him.

"Damn it. That means Spell Rings, which means soldiers." Sideway jumped just in time as not to be hit by the forming light barrier. He landed on the ground and rolled into a run. He made it to where the damage was occuring.

When he got there he couldn't believe it. Some kind of creature was beating on Shine Soldiers. And while Sideway didn't want to see any more damage to the city, the enjoyment he got from seeing the soldiers getting attacked made him stand back and laugh.

"Oh Galdavan. Though I have only been in you for a day, and you will most likely be destroyed after this. I love you more than anything else!"
