Rise of the Crescents [Accepting/Started]

As Gauge landed in the pile of acidic saliva, he breathed in a little bit of the fume which made him felt a tingling sensation as he got up and jumped outside the building. On his landing, Gauge made quite an impression on the ground as debris burst out in different directions. "Tsch...... What the hell was that gas?! And what's more is how the hell can that thing talk?! Anyways, I can't let it kill innocent people. The torturers deserved to die but not the innocent people of this town!" Gauge stopped in front of the demon. "Hey ugly!!! I understand if you were to kill the torturers but why the hell are you just going on a wild rampage like this?! Gawain, why the hell are you letting him do this?!" Gauge yelled at the beast.

Tinka stopped and looked behind him. "What exactly is going on in that head of yours?' he said walking back up to her. "Why would your friend destroy you?" He reached to touch her forehead but stopped a few inches away and closed his hand. "You guys are buddies right?" He was surprised that for the first time he had not read any minds. "And you must be a special..." Tinka said. his head hurt probably from lifting Jane and from all that was going on right now. "So what is going on?" he asked.

[-Genesis-]

The demon ignored Gauge and continued his assault, then he started walking around the town slowly, *Almost every one of them is dead, there are a few hiding in the ruins, but I can smell them and will find them soon.* *Isn't this enough, please, stop this...... Gauge is right why did I agree to this?* *You agreed because at the time you were enraged and probably would have done it yourself, but watching someone else do it is different. Not that it'll change anything.... but fine I'll let those who are left live.* The demon dog turned away from the village and headed for the forest. Once at the edge of the foresat the demon dog disappeared in a burst of smoke and in it's place stood Gawain leaning back against a tree.

After the demon had left, Gauge was showing signs of irritation. "Arrg..... damn demon......" Gauge stated to himself as he followed behind the demon to stop it in case things got out of control. After awhile, the demon left and entered the forest, Gauge decided to stay for awhile to look over the damage. "Man, I hope these people get out of here before that damn demon decides to come back for a second helping of destruction." Gauge stated as he looked towards the direction of the forest. From the forest, Gawain changed back to himself and leaned against a tree. A cloud of smoke could be seen from the air. "What the hell is happening over there? I better go check it out." Gauge stated as he jumped over to the forest. There, he noticed Gawain leaning against the tree. "Huh? Gawain! Hey are you alright?!" Gauge asked as he ran over to him.

[-Genesis-]

Gawain nodded and slumped down so that he was sitting against the ground, "Sorry, but the transformation takes a lot out of me...." Gawain stood up, but shook a bit, obviously unstable. "Where are the others.... the prisoners, Jesse, and Darren?" He tried to walk and ended up having to hold himself up with another tree, "Dammit, if only I hadn't tried to fight him I wouldn't be this exhausted." Gawain clenched his teeth and gaining his composure began walking again, slowly, but steadily.

[Clair]

Jane Saga was taken by surprise as her lithe body was lifted off Cuore's and slammed to the ground. She looked up blearily to see a boy comforting her new "friend". He had fallen from the tree they were sitting under, apparently. Fine, Jane sneered. If the boy wanted to play, she could match him move for move.

 

She snuck up behind Cuore, sliding on her stomach as the new duo continued conversing. Without a moment's hesitation, she wrapped a toned arm around Cuore's neck, putting her in an effective choke hold.

 

"Hi, sweetie," she crooned into her ear. "Did you miss me?"

 

Jane shot an icy glare at Tinka. "Leave now, or she diiiies..." she hissed in a playful voice.

 

To prove her point, she buried Cuore's head in the crook of her arm, slowly strangling her.

"This is what I mean!" Cuore tried to say, but she was being choked by Jane. Dammit, I gotta find a way outta here. She calmed herself down so she can think. She then moved her foot behind Jane's left leg, and pulled forward, causing the tangled duo to fall backwards. Just before hitting the ground, Cuore put her elbow against Jane's stomach, so that impact would jab Jane. Cuore managed to get one word out. "Help!"

 

--Meanwhile--

 

Ceodore rushed back to the shop, where Lucas and Trent were still with the box. "Lucas, I've found a backdoor to the box!! Well, not literally, but trust me. Open it!"

[Clair]

Jane snarled. This little bug was started to irritate her. She kept escaping, and she didn't even have any powers!

 

Tinka was apparently standing by, so Jane took this opportunity to stumble forward, winded, and grab Cuore's silky hair again.

 

Turning the little girl around, she grabbed Cuore's cheeks and made her look into her eyes, which began to flash. The girl was under Jane's control now. She had no powers of her own to fight back with.

 

Dropping her hands, Jane looked at her new toy. "I thought we were frieeends..." she whined, spitting in Cuore's face.

 

"All I wanted was some information... which you didn't provide..."

 

Jane giggled and kept up her fierce gaze, trapping the girl.

 

"Prepare to suffer and die."

[Jakeronijo]

"Neat Friend" Tinka said. The hold was too tight and Tinka couldn't loosen it telekinetically and the wills of the two girls were too strong to control them. Tinka began to back away. Taking notice of everything around. There was a sickening crack off far to the right and Tinka looked to draw away the attention of the two girls. Than a Branch Hit Jane hard in the back of the head. He absorbed some impact from Between them both but Coure still managed to stumble to the ground. Tinka binned the girl again but left her on the floor. He stepped forward calmly and gave a hand to Coure. Sorry. He sent to Coure.

Cuore was trapped in her subconscious. "Ugh, dammit! Why do I try to be friend with her?!"

 

Why DO you try with her?

 

The voice ran through Cuore's head. It had a good point though. "Why? Because..."

 

Let's face it, she's a b****. She is undeserving of your attention; your AKNOWLEDGEMENT for that matter. You should just--

 

"SHUT UP!!" Cuore screamed. "I try..because.....I've seen her past. Its not a very good one. I want her to be happy. And not the homocidal 'happy' that she seems to enjoy. TRUE happiness." Suddenly, Jane's voice echoed through her mind. "Dammit! I hope that boy does something!!"

 

Suddenly, she hears the word 'sorry'. "Sorry for what?" She awoke, on the ground, with the boy extending his hand to her, and Jane on the floor. "Thanks" she said, grabbing his hand and pulling herself up. She then walked to Jane, to see if she was seriously injured.

Trent gave the box to Lucas, deciding that he wanted to go to the library to find out more. There were so many books, and the library lady did not help at all. He found a book with fur as the book cover. Trent thought it was interesting, so he opened it. Immediately, a Dodo bird flew out of the book. Wait, a Dodo bird?! And it flew out of the book?! Twig immediately closed the book. The Dodo bird flew around, causing mayhem in the library.

 

"Don't open that!" the lady screamed. "Too late..."

 

The lady grabbed the book.

 

"I wonder how it got there..." the lady whispered. "I thought it was locked away. Listen kid, you don't want this book. I don't know where it came from or how it works, but it somehow summons animals in its pages. Good thing you closed it quickly."

 

The lady walked away. Then she tripped on a fallen book. She dropped the furry book, making it wide open.

 

"Uh oh."

[Clair]

Jane was dizzy. I large branch had caused her to lose focus on Cuore, and so she was free. The strain of controlling someone's body was a great one, and Jane found herself tired and exhausted. Was she too tired to play? Maybe, this time. One thing she loved about herself was her unpredictability. The duo teamed against wouldn't see this coming.

 

Jane Saga began to cry softly. "Why are you so mean to me?" she whispered to Cuore, shrugging off the branch. "Why is everybody so mean to me?" A single tear crept down her creamy cheek and fell to the forest floor.

Tinka was not fooled one bit. He read the thoughts that ran through Jane's mind and knew it was a trick. "Don't give me that." He plucked the tears under her eyes away telekineticly and they fell to the ground. "You both, are going to tell me what is going on." he said. Telekinetic holds formed on the feet of each girl with Jane well out of arm's reach. His mind reading tuned out as he focused on keeping them still. The thoughts of each girl were but a whisper as they stood frozen.

Cuore heard Jane's voice telepathically. And so she thought something, hoping Jane would hear: Cut the bullcr*p

 

She looked to the boy. "It's a LONG, COMPLICATED--" suddenly, Cuore had a vision.

 

His name is Tinka. He's psychic like Jane and Britney. He's not likely to get into pointless battles unless someone's life depended on it.

 

She came back. "So, you're crescent marked? You should stay with me then. Not in a rude way, though. Just trust me. Anyways, it's a LONG, COMPLICATED story. Basically, I just want her to be happy. But..err...let's just say, I started a few minutes ago..."

[Clair]

Jane's expression fell even more. What hurt was she was actually trying to be serious... it was just that no one ever trusted her anymore. The doubters were always so frosty and cold, and Jane had grown icy towards them as a result.

 

Now a girl wanted to be her friend, but Jane had pushed her away. If she let someone too close to her, she'd end up killing them. It was just the way she was raised. Ferocious and seductive... Jane's calling card.

 

She didn't say a word as she fell asleep in Tinka's hold.

Cuore turned her head to see Jane fall asleep. Good thing, this will give them both some time to rest. She turned to Tinka, still keeping them stuck to the floor. "Well, it's probably a good time to tell you a secret. And don't go freaking out when you hear it." She looked around to make sure no one was around. Unfortunately, there was someone. A Shine Soldier had spotted them, and ran away to get reenforcements. "Damn! Quick! Let Jane and I go so we can get outta here.

Tinka let go of the hold on the girls, grabbing Jane before she hit the Forest floor again. He propped her against a tree and turned to coure. "Well do you have any powers?" he asked "we are going to have to fight, or get out of here. And I don't think I should try flying." he said thinking about when he passed out. But then he rememebered when he lifted Jane into the air. He tried again but his head pulsed. "Shoot, we have to get out of here."

Lucas was weary about this new box that Ceodore has just given him. "(What could be in this box?)" Lucas thought to himself as he held the box to his ear and shook, hoping to hear some kind of noise that would give Lucas an idea of what's inside the box. However Lucas' efforts were to no avail. The box, sound-wise, appeared empty. To Lucas, all he heard was a regular old empty box, nothing more and nothing less. Lucas was a little bit reassured and placed his hand onto the box. Then Lucas opened it up and a flash happened. Lucas then appeared in a contained place. "Am I in the box?" Lucas stated to himself.

 

-Meanwhile-

 

Gauge noticed Gawain was having a hard time walking so he decided to help him out. "{Sigh} Let me help you there." Gauge stated as he brought Gawain's arm over to his shoulder and continued to walk. "The others are okay. They're deep in the forest. But we're still waiting for you. Afterall, I don't even know where to go." Gauge stated as they continued on to the location of the others.

"Let's go, then. I don't have any powers. Help me carry her." Cuore said as he went over and tried to pick Jane up by her shoulder. She gestured for Tinka to come help. She tried again and was barely able to lift her. So she began dragging Jane's limp body to Darklight.

 

--Meanwhile--

 

Ceodore noticed that the switch had worked. Britney was now in Lucas's body. "Ok, Britney. Stay here and....don't touch anything" he said. He rushed the box over to Britney's body, with the other girl in it. "Hey could you please open this?" Ceodore asked.

 

"Umm, ok?" The girl said reluctantly (this isnt GMing, cause its not Britney I'm controlling, its a girl in Britney's body. Also, the girl is not one of DB's applied apps. So im safe.) The girl opened the box, and was then switched with Lucas.

[Clair]

Jane was sound asleep, dreaming.

 

But this wasn't like other dreams she had possessed before...

 

Jane was standing in a pitch black room. She gasped as a white crescent portal appeared in front of her. It was light in the darkness...

 

Suddenly, the luminous crescent fractured into a million pieces, and a chilling laugh could be heard as the room faded into darkness once again.

 

"Who's there?" Jane shouted, trembling. A strong, female voice hissed back.

 

"You are full of anger, aren't you, Jane Saga? You want revenge on everybody who has ever hurt you... including the newest force in your life, the ones marked with crescents, don't you?"

 

Jane shook. "Yes, I do!" she shouted into the darkness. Rage began to boil up inside her.

 

"Then let me into your mind! We can accomplish so much together!"

 

Jane trembled again as a sleek, black glove reached out to her from the blackness and began dragging her towards an unforeseeable source.

Lucas was walking around in the box for awhile until a bright flash appeared. The next thing Lucas saw was that he was outside again. "Huh? Hey I'm outside again! Yeah!!!" Wait a minute......." Lucas stated as he looked over to see himself. "Wait, if I'm here, then how am I over there?....... {Gasp} A shapeshifter?! Wait hold on, why do I sound like Britney for some reason?......." Lucas stated as he stood up. He then looked at his hands, legs, and clothes and let out a scream. "AHHH!!!!! I'm in Britney's body?! Ceodore! What the hell's going on here?!" Lucas yelled with anger and confusion.

Cuore continued to carry (drag) Jane's unconscious body away from the site, making sure no Shine Soldiers were around. Though she was slow carrying Jane, she was getting quite a bit away from Tinka. I hope he follows, she thought, I don't think I can carry her too much farther. As she continued, another vision came through her head. It was not like the others. The familiar pleasant voice was replaced with a harsher one. You know she's going to betray you, Cuore. It would be best to just leave her here. Or better yet! Just kill her right now! If you don't, we both know she'll kill you.

 

Though the voice was persistent, cuore just shook her head, and thought: No, I'm not leaving her behind. I'm not giving up on her...

 

--Meanwhile--

 

Ceodore was confused at Lucas's sudden anger, but disregarded it for the most part. "It's ok, Lucas, I've got a plan!" Ceodore took Lucas in Britney's body over to Britney in Lucas's body. "All you have to do is chant this spell." he said, pulling out the book and showing Lucas the Soul Shift spell:

Lucas stared at the book with interest and disbelief at the same time. He then directed his attention towards Ceodore. "This better not be some trick Ceodore, cause if it is, then you'll get to taste one of my famous Windy Day Knuckle Sandwich......." Lucas stated as he stared at Ceodore in a creepy yet comical manner. Lucas then stared at the spell and began to chant the words.

Just then a sudden flash occured and the next thing Lucas noticed was that he was staring at Britney. "Huh?....... What the? Britney? That means......" Lucas stood up from the ground and looked at his hands, feet, and clothes. "YEAH!!!! I'M BACK IN MY OWN BODY AGAIN!!!! WHOOHOO!!!!" Lucas exclaimed happily. "So that means Britney is back in her own body." Lucas stated.

Heading for nowhere in particular, Aurora sauntered straight into a forest, stopping constantly to either straighten her hair, or listen to her surroundings. She was more or less blind as to her enviroment; she could only see the path ahead of her, but her hearing was exceptional- she could hear birds chirping melodies and the trees themselves talking to her, as if she was one of them. But anytime she started to move again, the sound was immediately drowned out by the crunching of sticks under her feet, and the constant moaning she might let out when she couldn't find the path, or her hair qouldn't stay straight. She decided to leave it- Aurora always carried a kit for these type of situations. It was small, but deadly- her enemies would be dazzled at her perfect hair and forget who they were, until a blade was already protruding out of their unsuspecting bodies, now twitching back into reality.

 

Of course, this was all just her colorful imagination, as she walked through the now dull and constant forest which she could not give a name to or point to it on a map; it was so distant from her life that she neer knew anything ever existed past her community, and would have never imagined this. But her rush of exitement entering the forest quickly receded on the incline of utter boredom. This isn't what she wanted.

 

The birds felt her emotions, and expressed it as she got deeper into the forest. Their sound lulled her to go foward, for every time she looked back, the song would increase in speed, as if something were stalking her. It would increase in volume and intensity, and the song would gain more sad tunes, until it was too much- a point where her head was almost over her shoulder, and her eyes could only glimpse what was behind her.

"Hah! Told you! And you thought you couldn't trust me..." Ceodore said. "Make sure Britney is okay, while I go to the Library. By the way, we should head off for Gald Town soon..." Ceodore ran out and to the Library. Maybe there were spells other than Luminous. With these books, he wouldn't have to borrow other's powers as often. He searched through the Library, but to no avail.

 

He sat down at a table and started reading the 'Luminous Spell' book. <>
