Gawain glared at Gauge, and yelled at him and Jesse, "Just get away from the t-town..... ARGH!" Gawain roared as his kleft arm jerked away and his should readjusted itself. Gawain's face began to stretch/elongate turning into a muzzle, changing his voice making it deeper, "G-go into the forest along the road and wait!" He pause for a second as his neck snapped back spinning his head to the right for a second before he looked back at Gauge and Jesse, "I-I'm losing c-control, just go!" Then a small whimper came from Gawain's lips, "P-please, just go......."

The former prisoner who'd taken the lead of the others led them away from the town hoping that their protectors would follow, from the moment he saw Gawain's body start to change he knew it was a good idea to leave so he did as he'd heard Gawain say and led the former prisoners to the forest to wait.

Gauge was surprised at what Gawain was turning into. "Wh-what the hell is that?" Gauge asked in confusion. He looked towards the other and noticed they were stunned by fear. "Gah! I gotta get 'em outta here. We don't know how dangerous Gawain is in this form!" Gauge exclaimed as he turned to Jesse and Darren. "You guys! We need to go! Now!!!" Gauge yelled at them and then running off hoping they would hurry up and follow. "Damn it! We have to take rufuge in the forest for now everybody! (Crap, is this the inner beast Gawain was talking 'bout?)" Gauge thought to himself.

-Meanwhile-

Lucas noticed the woman taking the box. Lucas then stood up from the ground and faced the woman. "What the heck?! Taking souls?! What's gonna happen to Britney now?!" Lucas asked in a worry tone.

Well while everyone else was worrying about loosing souls and the like Terra was in the library looking up everything he could about lycanthropy while a large number of people watched him. "(Okay, this says right now that I should be a big snarling monster that looks pretty cool ,but something seems off I didn't tare through any cloths and I'm in control not to mention I'm not fully wolfed out, could my crescent mark actually be protecting me and if so awesome.)" After Terra read through everything they had on the subject he got up and tracked Twig down by his sent. "(I'm thinking this lycanthropy might come in pretty handy.)"

"Wait, so let me get this straight. The person who opens the box gets sucked in the box while the person who was already in the box gets released?"

The lady nodded. Trent looked at the box he was holding. Suddenly, he scared that if he did any big motions, something will happen to Britney.

"Is there any other way to get her out? What if we were to destroy the box?"

"No! Don't do that! Your friend will die if you do that! But there is another way, but it's impossible..."

"What is it?"

"There's a way to save Britney?! How do we do it?!" Lucas asked with concern. "It doesn't matter if it's impossible! Britney's our friend and if she's in trouble then we'll all find a way to help her! No matter what!!!" Lucas stated with overflowing determination in his eyes. "I know if something happens to me then all of you would do something and not just sit around sulking. So please lady, tell us how to save Britney!!!" Lucas stated once more as he planted his feet firmly on the ground. "And to me, nothing is impossible!!! It's just really difficult!!!!" Lucas explained in a determined tone.

"I have an idea..." Art called out as he snapped his fingers, the probes dissapearing. "Justin, how about you make an illusion?" He began.

"Make that one think that she has to open the box, or die." He finished. It might not work, but in theory, it sounded fine.

Ray nodded his approval, landing on his feet. He had never worked with this kind of sorcery, but... It might reverse the effects.

"Right, tell us the way... We'll do it, somehow." Ray snapped at the lady, his had again rumaging inside his coat.

Sideway pulled himself out of the shadows. He was screaming in pain with amount of effort that it took. He had tried Shadow jumping through weak shadows before, but never one that weak. He was heading to any city and the speed of shadow jumping meant that he could travel the entire forest in an hour. So far though, every time he had jumped out from a shadow he was no where near a city or a town, or even a farm. And so Sideway had kept shadow jumping until it was well into the day. Doing that thugh meant he put immense strain on his body, he was having to use his own strength to keep himself together in the shadows, his crescent mark would do next to nothing in the light of day.

When the last part of his body came into the real world he collapsed to his knees, breathing very hard.

"Thats the last time I ever do that," Sideway gasped. When he had finally caught his breath he stood up and saw buildings in the distance, "Finally. I wonder where I am?" Regardless of where he was, Sideway made his way to the location. It was the first stop he would make on his journey.

Tinka awoke as he sensed the loss of his partner. Before he could say anything he was gone. It was dark and quiet and Tinka got to his feet. He wasn't much bothered by the dark but he hated being alone. He didn't have much to his name except for the shirt on his back so he got up and walked away.

________________________________________________________________________________

About a day later Tinka found himself in the Wonder Woods. The trees were amazing and he was glad to finnaly come to a rest. He had tried flying several times but he did nothing more than float up and glide across a short distance. It didn't hurt him as much anymore so he was able to stay aloft. Something that was in his brain must've snapped and helped him control his powers better. He climbed up a tree and swung his feet over a branch with his back against the trunk and massaged his temples.

Jesse had turned and ran along with the group of himself, Darren, and Gauge. He wondered about Gawain to himself. "What the devil was that? What the devil is HE?! I don't even know which way is up, at the moment, and then he goes all Bat crap crazy? What gives?!" he ran scared, and sent his message to the other two. "Well, what gives? What is going on here? I'm so confused..." the last part came out as a mental groan as they ran. He would remedy this situation, somehow, but it needed time.

Cuore started to panic. After much struggling, she got one of Jane's knees off of her and finally managed to break free. Still scared out of her mind, she ran as fast as possible out of Darklight City and into Wonder Woods, constantly looking back to make sure she wasn't being followed. However, she ran into a tree, and fell unconscious. This tree had a boy sitting in it... <>

Jane Saga grinned at Cuore's retreating figure. She started to run after Cuore, silently, as not to frighten the girl. She kept out of sight.

Where did you goooo? she thought, stopping at the entrance to Wonder Woods, following Cuore's tracks. We were going to have so much fun together!

Jane stepped into Wonder Woods, the lush trees surrounding her. Moonlight refracted off her toned frame as she sent a mind message to Cuore. She had to be in here!

You're in big trouble when I find you, naughty girl... she giggled telepathically.

Jane Saga continued to prowl the woods.

Gawain was still standing where he was when the others had left him as he'd said, *Dammit, it's feeding off of my emotions, and growing stronger, but I have to hold it off until they're a safe distance away....* *If I swear not to harm them will you let me loose on this town? You hate them and would kill them yourself anyway, and I haven't been out in a while.* Gawain was shocked as he hadn't heard his demon half talking to him for a long time and had actually thought that it's consciousness had fallen deep into his mind, obviously he was wrong. *Yes, but you if you attack them in any way I will fight you and force you back into the deepest recesses of my mind.* At this his demon half laughed, *As if you have the power to do that now, but you have a deal, but know that this only stands for this incident.* Gawain mentally accepted his demonic half's words and let go of his control.

Suddenly there was a massive blast into the ground where Gawain was standing making smoke rise up beyond the top of the town and for miles around people could easily see a dog-like creature stand larger than the town's tallest building. The creature roared, and it's roar alone was so powerful that the building just ahead of it when it roared collapsed.

Cuore wasnt having a dream/vision like almost everyone's been having. She was simply dreaming lucidly. She was in total darkness. Jane's voice echoed through the air. Cuore, at this point, just gave up. She didn't think she was going to escape Jane alive, or even dead for that matter. She started to mentally shift through her memories. She started to remember learning about Jane. A soft voice rang through the air.

....Jane has had a terrible past. Though she may try to do harm, she is actually very.......caring...deep down.

Whatever you do, no matter how much she hurts you, you shouldn't stop "playing" with her. She will confide to you, eventually....

"...'confide'?" Cuore asked herself, when she suddenly awoke. Cuore, now with a resolve, stood up confidently.

Jane, if you can hear this, then listen. I'm tired of all the fighting, and suffering, and death that surrounded me ever since I got here. If you want to play, then fine. I'm not running anymore. If you act like a friend to me, I'll be your friend...

Gauge looked back to see the destruction caused by Gawain's so-called "Inner Demon". He was shocked to see such destruction out of a usually calm person like Gawain. "What the hell is going on with him?!" Gauge asked the others. "What is he?! Should we try to help him or something?! We just met him, but....... Damn it!!! It's times like these that I begin to care for others!!!" Gauge exclaimed as he looked towards the town's destruction. "Well, we should get these people to safety first before we do anything rash!" Gauge stated as he continued to run towards the forest. "(I remember the last time I went on a rampage like that.......)" Gauge thought to himself.

Jane was absolutely floored when she heard Cuore's voice echo back through the brush. No one had ever responded to her in such a manner before. Her brain worked furiously. No one had ever tried to make friends with her before, either. She scowled. Who was she kidding? She was a loner. A girl like her should be able to have fun all by herself. I don't need friends! she shouted at herself.

Following Cuore's voice, she found the girl slumped against a tree.

"That was very foolish, what you just did," Jane giggled, advancing on the worn girl.

"Perhaps you would like to play now? You want to be my friend, so you have to play my games..."

Jane Saga knelt down, facing Cuore with icy blue eyes.

Cuore was still a little scared, but she was holding it back. If it was destiny for her to die, so be it. "(sigh) >confidently< Yes, I'll be your friend. What game did you have in mind?"

--Meanwhile--

Ceodore was growing impatient. He gave up, and decided to go to the library and see if he could find any info. While walking there, he saw Terra being followed by a group of people. "Terra, we've got trouble. Come to the Library with me." He grabbed Terra's werewolf arm and dragged him to the Library. I need you to help me find a book on soul-switching..."

"This game," Jane hissed playfully as she effortlessly pinned Cuore down again. "It's called, 'Tell Jane Everything You Know About the Crescent Team'. If you don't do as the game says, then I get to do this."

She pulled Cuore's hair back, giggling.

"You look like a person who doesn't care about life anymore. Well, I'm not going to kill you. That would be too nice," Jane snapped. "Instead, I'm going to wring every scrap of information you have out of your body, like a wet washcloth..."

She fiddled with Cuore's hair again.

Sideway was walking through a market place browsing through the different items that the stalls held. He had learnt that the place he was in was called Galdavan, but all he knew of the place was that it was so much nicer than Shine City. He thought back to Shine and realised that it was in a market that this all started. His eyes nervously trailed down to his coat arm and he stared at his rough stitching. He was hungry, very hungry, but he wasn't sure about stealing. Not after being shot by guards with light arrows at least.

Unfortunatley, He reasoned to himself, Thats all that I know how to do. Except fighting. I can fight very well.

Sideway looked at an area of open space large enough to spar with people, to try and earn some money.

No I couldn't do that. I don't think these people are fighters at all.

Which left him only one option, theft. He had to choose what he wanted to eat first, but there wasn't much competition, the only stall that sold food and was under a shadow was a cooked meats vendor.

Moving away into a shadow himself, Sideway charged his ability into his hand creating a vortex of darkness in his palm. At the same time a small vortex appeared beneath some meats. He didn't know what they were, but that didn't matter to him. All Sideway knew was that he was hungry and that it smelt good.

Tinka sensed the girl a long while before she arrived. she read her mind and knew her motives. When the first girl hit his tree he was suprised but the fear in her thoughts was enough and Tinka decided to let her rest. But than when Jane approached he began to plan. When she approached he crouched lower in the tree so as not to be seen. Cuore had sent out thoughts as if calling people to her. You never know when a telepath is around, shouldn't scream mentally like that. He thought to himself. As Jane grabbed her hair. Tinka took his chance. He leaped from the tree and landed behind Jane silently, utilizing his telekenisis to soften his landing and lowering Jane's sense of hearing as he landed. He grabbed her hand telekinetically and yanked her back. Jane was pulled into the air behind Tinka. He ran forward and placed a hand on Coures head. He focused on her and Janes telekinetic bonds and searched to wake her up. When she was free Tinka turned to Jane. "Now were going to play a game, It's called, what do you want with this girl?" He said closing his eyes and searching Jane's thoughts.

In his mind Gawain watched what his Demon half was doing, *Dammit, Youki, just get it over with... make it quick.* *Are you sure? You don't want me to give some of them a hope of survival? Hah! Fine then I will end this quickly, but I will kill every single one of them!* With that the demon dog form swung it's tail and crushed a few buildings. Then it turned on a group of men who decided to try and stand up against it with rifles, the weapons didn't make a mark on the demon and it then swiped at them with a paw and killed them. Then it started looking around for it's next victims and began to drool, but this was different from a normal animal's saliva, when it hit the ground it started to eat through it and produced toxic fumes. The demon roared again, but this time followed up the roar with words which could be heard all the way out in the forest where the others were waiting, "You humans think you can harm me with those pathetic weapons! You will all perish! I will not leave until there is nothing left of this town but ruins!"

"You're wrong. I'm not giving up on living. I'm giving up on running." This is when a boy jumps down from the tree and throws Jane behind him. "Wha? Hey!! What are you doing??" Cuore was confused, but then realized his intentions. "Oh..." She turned to face him, and mentally booted him from her mind. "I'm sorry. But, Jane is my new friend, and, even though I really REALLY wished I could have done that to her....I promised to be her friend, and I have to treat her as such. Come on, lets go check on her." She rushes over. "Jane! Are you ok?"

ooC: I wasn't in your head cuore, i was in Jane's you can't boot me if i wasn't there.

IC: Tinka lowered Jane, Unharmed to the ground. They were friends however shortly and he had meddled out of place. "Sorry." he said going back to his silent observations now that his adreneline rush was gone. A singing sparrow flew overhead and was singing "Bad day". Tinka chuckled to himself and nodded at both girls. "Well than I'll be going." He said calmly turning on his heel and walking away to find a tree that girls were not running into.

"Wait!!" Cuore said. She may have stopped running, but she was still afraid. "Do you think, maybe, you can stay here? 'Cause I don't have any powers and I'm afraid that Jane might, uhh....destroy me, when she gets up..."

--Meanwhile--

Ceodore walked through the Library, looking for a magic book, when he finally found one. 'Luminous Spells'? Weird name... He picked the book up and started flipping through it, til he found what he was looking for.

The Soul Shift Spell

Gives the user the ability to switch bodies with anyone. WARNING: Only works on humans. Any use with animals, plants, or inanimate objects will result in death.

"Damn! Can't use it on the box." He said. He continued to read.

This spell can only be cast ONCE. Anyone within the shockwave of this spell will not be able to cast it either.

Chant:

Birthed from the womb of Dragon's maw

And borne unto the stars

By Ligh and Darkness cast aloft

Are dreamtide oaths resworn

Moon is swathed in ever light

Ne'er again to know eclipse

Earth, with hallow'd bounty reconsiled

Ceodore kept reading, but he thought this spell was useless. Until he got a brilliant plan...

After they got deep enough into the forest, Gauge turned back towards the town. As Gauge was about to go, he turned back and faced the others. "Hey you guys take care of the rest, I'm coming back for Gawain. Feel free to come help anytime, but just becareful. I have a feeling that I can't just negotiate with that damn dog or whatever the hell that thing was." Gauge stated as he ran off towards the city. Gauge quickly approached the city streets and witnessed Gawain's inner demon killing off a number of people, leaving only one left and then gaving a loud roar. "Tsch......." Gauge jumped up towards the demon's head and launched his fist at it. If this hits, then the demon would be sent back quite a distance.

The punch connected with the side of the demon's head sending it back a bit crushing some buildings, but not taking the demon off its feet, unfortuantely for Gauge the recoil threw him into the remains of a building and next to a pooling of the acidic saliva of the demon which was producing toxic fumes and would paralyze Gauge if he inhaled them too much. The demon slowly walked back to where Gauge was inside the ruins of the building, "Little one, leave this place, Gawain set me loose with thr agreement that I would not attack you, but that doesn't mean I can't fight back if you attack me. Leave and let me finish my business here. Then you will meet Gawain again in the forest." With that the demon dog turned it's back to gauge and leapt to the other end of the town cushing buildings as it landed and killing more of the townspeople.
