Rise of the Crescents [Accepting/Started]

As Gawain finished his statement, Gauge simply crossed his arms. "Hey!!! Since who died and made you king huh???!!! Geez, you can ask nicely ya know!" Gauge stated as he walked away. Gauge then turned back and pointed at Gawain while directing his attention at Darren. "By the way that's Gawain. Yeah he has quite the ego problem." Gauge stated as he put his hand back down to his side. "And how am I suppose to know where to go?! Jesse! Do you know?!" Gauge asked as he stared at Jesse with an irritated look. The look wasn't designed for Jesse however, he was ticked off at Gawain.

Britney and Justin had calmly walked into a shop that was different from the others. Britney had gasped when she saw what was inside but Justin just completely ignored it. The whole entire store was completely destroyed, or at least the inside was. Britney had walked carefully to the front of the store, where it seemed that the counter was the only thing that wasn't totally destroyed. Their were four draws on the desk, three of them were torn apart and barely hanging on its hinges, but the last one was perfectly intact. Britney had a confused expression on her face as she opened the drawer. Inside it was just a big plain old box with 'DO NOT OPEN!' in big red letters on its top.

 

Britney took the Box quickly and ushered herself and Justin outside of the store. Both of them stepped next to Trent and Lucas and Britney took the box. "I found this box inside that broken down store, I was worried to open it inside the store so i brought it out here and I wanted to open it with you guys" . Britney said as she put her hand ontop of the box to open it, But Justin had stopped her and looked at her sternly. Britney just clicked her lips together and Justin took his hands off the box. Britney put her hand back on the box and waited to here some approval from Trent.

Ceodore was about to walk out of the library, when he saw The Book of Memory. He picked it up and started reading.

 

The title of 'Warrior of Memory' is actually a misnomer, as the warrior remembers very little of his past. Living in a cave lined with gloriously shining crystals is where this warrior began his odyssey.

 

Woah, that sounds like Crystal Cavern. he thought, as he gave the book back. Then he saw The Book of Heart, and remembered Cuore. He took it.

 

"Umm, Trent, come here for a moment." he said as he pulled Trent to the side, away from the others. "Listen, you see this girl?" he opened the book to the picture of Cuore, "Well, I had a dream, where she told me she was at Crystal Cavern, my home. Do you think, maybe, after Arcemeis, we can go back to find her?" he said, not telling Trent about the fact that either Cuore or himself had to die.

As Ceodore pulled Trent away, Lucas simply stared at them with curiosity. "(Hmm, I wonder what they're talking about? What's more is why can't Ceodore tell anybody else but Trent? Are we not important?)" Lucas thought to himself as his face showed signs of irritation. Lucas then turned his attention towards Britney, Justin, and the box. "Do not open huh? Well to tell the truth, one side of me doesn't want to open the box, while the other side of me wants to rip that box right open and see what's inside. So I really don't know what to do." Lucas then gave a reassuring smile to Britney and Justin. "Well, I guess what just have to flip a coin huh?" Lucas stated.

Jane Saga woke up in unfamiliar territory.

 

She blinked hard to clear her thoughts and restore her memories. The girl Hyena was still across from her, dozing.

 

She wanted to move, to go somewhere with a purpose... why had the group left her? That was no fun...

 

Hopping to her feet, Jane cracked her slender fingers and set off towards Darklight City, for lack of a better place to go.

"I don't know...Crystal Caverns is far from we are. It all depends where Arcemeis is. If it's close to Crystal Caverns, we might have time. We'll probably need another flying whale or an airship."

 

Trent looked towards where Britney was standing. She was holding an odd box with a do not open mark on it. He had to admit, he wanted to open the box, too.

 

"Okay. Open it, run away, and if nothing happens, see what's in it. In a count of three ok?"

IC: Lucas gave a big grin towards Trent's decision. "Alright! Now you're talking Trent! And for a minute there I thought you were going to say 'No, it's too dangerous'." Lucas stated as he tried to sound like Trent during the last part. "Alright, let me work my magic." Lucas stated as he cracked his knuckles and use his wind power to lift the box into the air. "Alright, this way when you open it, you can run away quicker. Think of it as issurance, hehe!" Lucas stated in a happy tone. "(Well, it seems my curious side has beaten my cautious side...... again......)" Lucas thought to himself as he stepped back further just in case a giant monster pops out of the box.

Jane Saga trudged through the forest happily feeding off the dark emotions that overcome you when the moon is but a small crescent, casting down little light.

 

It wasn't long before she reached the treeline. She could see the outline of Darklight City in the distance, and skipped towards it happily.

 

After all, Darklight was her city now. A few remodeling projects would have to be completed first, but Jane was sure she could assume total control.

 

She arrived at a dirty crossroad and entered her desolate city.

"Im really going to enjoy this" . Britney said as she Kicked her foot high into the air and knocked the box top into the air and making it slide onto the ground below it. At first nothing happened so Britney snatched the box out of the air and looked inside of it, nothing their either. Then everyone around Britney was blown back except for Britney herself. Suddenly a purple aura surrounded Britney and she was completely covered by it. Justin slammed into a wall of one shop and was knocked unconscious. Britney meanwhile was still surrounded by the Purple Aura, and slowly but surely her soul was slowly slipping out of her.

Jane was walking into the city when she was hit from behind. Hard.

 

She managed to twist her body so she fell in a kneeling position. Jane slowly pulled herself to her feet, enraged, whirling on the presence, and smacking the hand away. To her shock, she saw a little girl standing there, a crescent glowing on her small frame.

 

Icy blue eyes flashing, Jane slapped Cuore as hard as she could. No one was going to make her fall and not pay for it!

 

Jane paused, and took a deep breath. She could use this girl. The thought of it twisted her face into a distorted grin.

 

"So you're crescent-marked..." she giggled, wrapping a pale, toned arm around Cuore. "I'd like to know what you're doing in my city."

Lucas jumped towards a nearby building as Britney opened the box. "I wonder what's inside. Geez, the anticipation is killing me." Lucas stated as he continued to duck behind the building. Suddenly, Lucas felt an strong force pushing him back and making him crashed into a pile of garbage. As the debris cleared, Lucas' face showed a comical expression with his two eyes appearing as swirls, showing that he was momentarily unconcious. After awhile, Lucas stood up and stumbled outside where he noticed Britney being covered by a purple aura. "What the heck?! Britney, what's that?" Lucas asked as he pointed towards the purple aura.

Cuore did not get a good feeling from this girl. She rubbed her cheek where the girl had slapped her. "Um, I was just looking for a place to stay and...uh..." Cuore suddenly had a vision:

 

Her name is Jane. Though she is a warrior, you must becareful with her. Run if she tries to hurt you.

 

Cuore saw the wicked grin on the girl's face, and was gripped by fear. She pushed the girl back down and started running back to Crystal Cavern...

 

--Meanwhile--

 

Ceodore was pushed back against the wall, and saw a strange purple aura around Britney. He tried to rush for her, but a strange force was keeping him back. No matter how hard he pushed, he couldnt get through. "Britney, run!!!" he screamed.

[Clair]

Jane smirked as Cuore ran away in apparent fright. You'll be fuuun... she thought, eyes narrowing.

 

She easily caught up to the girl and shoved her to the ground. Without giving her a chance to recover, Jane pounced on Cuore and pinned her to the dirt of Darklight.

 

"I don't like liars..." Jane hissed in Cuore's ear, stroking her cheek.

 

"Tell me the truth, what are you really doing here?" Jane giggled. She loved control...

Justin had suddenly woke up and ran towards his sister, but couldn't get close to her at all. Suddenly the purple Aura around Britney floated above her, Her body landing onto the ground. Justin tried running towards Britney but something strange kept pushing him back. Britney's body completely floated up a few feet from the ground and a golden Aura came out of her mouth, The purple Aura one sunk into her mouth. The golden Aura flew into the box and it closed and fell to the ground, along with Britney's Body.

Lucas quickly ran over to Britney who has just fallen onto the ground along with the box. "Hey Britney, are you alright?" Lucas asked concerningly as he kneeled down. Lucas then helped to raise her body from the ground. "Hey Justin, quickly over here!" Lucas exclaimed as he used his free hand to signaled Justin to get over to Britney and him. "Man, what was that just now. Britney, how are you feeling? Are you able to walk or move at all?" Lucas asked concerningly.

Trent was confused on what just happened. One minute, Britney opened the box, the next he was on the ground, pushed by some kind of force. He stood up to see Britney was on the ground. He slowly walked towards Britney. He then took the box away. He grabbed a seed in his pocket and put it on top of the box. Trent made the seed grow, making the roots, vines, and leaves cover the box. Soon, the box was fully covered. This won't be causing trouble anymore.

"Get off of me!!!" Cuore screamed panicky. Struggling didnt seem to work. "Leave me alone! Let me go, Jane!"

Ceodore still couldnt get to Britney. He decided to look for another way. He rushed out the back door. Looking around for any way to Britney, he got an idea. He found a ladder on the floor. He picked it up and leaned it against the building. On the roof, he positioned himself to around where Britney was. Jumping up and down, he smashed through the roof and landed next to Britney's body. "Britney!! Are you ok?!?" That's when Lucas and Justin rushed over. "Aww!! I smashed through a roof for nothing!"

[Clair]

Jane giggled even harder, digging her knee into Cuoore's back. Leaning down, she brushed back Cuore's hair and whispered:

 

"You didn't answer my question..."

 

She started to slap the girl more, repeated blows from her pale hands. "Show me your power!" she laughed, her eyes flashing. "Make me let you go..."

 

She struck Cuore anew, watching with satisfaction as the girl's head snapped to the side.

 

"There's an easier way out of this," she said, with false sweetness. "You could tell me where you're going, and who you're with..."

 

She paused, leering down at the helpless Cuore trapped beneath her.

 

"Well?"

Britney had suddenly woke up and she looked shocked, as if she had no clue where she was. "Where am i" . Britney said as she touched her hair, at the moment seeming like she had no clue on who she was and what anything was for that manor. "What just happened, i was opening that box with Ashley and now im here, and what happened to my body.......OMG I TURNED SPANISH" . Britney yelled....or at least everyone thinks its Britney. Justin just stood shocked as the events happened.

 

-Meanwhile-

 

The real Britney walked around, in utter emptiness. She was inside the box, her soul got sucked inside of it and now she was inside of the box. "IS ANYBODY HERE" . She yelled loudly but her screams just echoed hopelessly around her. She continued walking around but nothing happened to her.

Lucas was surprised at what Britney was saying. "(What the? What the heck is Britney saying? She's just saying some random things, or is she? And who is Ashley?)" Lucas thought to himself in confusion. "Umm, Britney, are you alright? Who is this Ashley you're talking about?" Lucas asked in confusion as he waved his hand in front of her face to see if she was really awake or not. "Hello? Britney? Anybody in there?" Lucas continued to wave his hand in front of her face, even occasionally making silly faces at her.

Art glared at Britney, or her body, as he dusted himself off. Ray leapt up with his wings and loaded and arrow, his shoulderblades searing with pain as the wings had nearly ripped them off. The arrowhead began to sizzle as sparks began to fly out, making a dangerous wall by it.

 

"One thousand volts in this bolt." Ray warned grimly. Art frowned, Ray never joked. The rhyme was an obvious sign of something weird. Art caught a long tool out of the air in front of him. It was made of two long silver poles, each with a hook at the end, but blunt so it would work as an arm.

 

"Whatever that gold thing was, ten linads it's sorcerous." He called out as he carefully grabbed the lid of the box.

As the childish elemental from of himself came out of the trailer, Sideway crawled backwards pulling himself along with his hands. He stood up carefully and continued walking back. A solid object stopped him from going any further, a tree, and with that Sideway turned to run once again. He kept running, his heart racing and thoughts gushng through his head. How can that be me? Where the hell am I? I must be dreaming. Sideway kept running until he could barely feel his legs any more and he shut his eyes tight against the pain in his body. His foot caught against something and sent him flying, when he opened his eyes he recognised the place immediatley. It was his home, or at least what was left of it. The mansion that was once his home was burning. The other buildings on the estate were destroyed and the grass that he knelt on was charred and blackened. He looked to the sky and screamed. Sideway was shocked when he was answered by another scream, this one thgouh was not one of pain or sadness. It was one of anger and hatred and death. Before him stood a magnificent beast, a Dragon of the old legends. Not one of the tamed varieties that live today, but a huge creature, spines and blades piercing through its skin. Its eyes burnt with fire and its breath smelt like rotting flesh.

Sideway couldn't move, he was frozen with fear. Flames licked the side of the dragons mouth as its attack burned up its throat. As Sideway thought his time was up a massive beautiful moon appeared in the air before him which the fire hit and stopped. The glow that this crescent shaped moon cast lit up the dragon and something that Sideway had not seen before. A man stood upon the dragons back as if it were his pet and stared at Sideway. Sideway recognised the man immediatley.

"ERIC?!"

 

And with that Sideway woke up. He was sweating and his crescent mark was glowing bright enough to shine through the material of his shirt. He knew what the dream meant, at least he thought he did. And if Eric was back then no one was safe. Standing and careful not to disturb Tinka, Sideway collected his things. He put his coat on and placed the blade back on his body and focused his powers. They were completley returned, which was good for the coming days. He took one last look at his former travelling companion and used his ability to travel at incalculable speeds through the tree line. He had to find out what had happened to Eric all those years ago, so he had an idea of where he had to go.

Trent looked at the girl who he thought was Britney and then back to the box. He had to figure out what happened. He ran back to the store where Britney got the box from. There was a lady there, cleaning up a huge mess. She turned around and saw the box. The lady started shaking.

 

"What have you done?" the lady asked.

 

"I- I don't know!" Trent stammered.

 

"Did you open the box?" the lady questioned.

 

"Yes."

 

"Oh dear...Oh no..."

Ceodore was starting to get an idea of what just happened, but he wasnt sure. He ripped all the foliage around the box, took it, and ran to the store, surprised to find Trent and a lady there. "What...how..what does this box do?" Ceodore asked.

 

The lady takes the box as if it was made of gold. "This box held the soul of the first person who opened it," she said, "It then takes the soul of the next person and replaces it with the previous person."

 

"Th-th-thth..what?!" Ceodore said confused. "Well, can't she just open the box again?!"

 

--Meanwhile--

 

Cuore was in immense pain. "AAAAAHH! Let me go!" She wouldn't be able to take much more pain. "Fine! I'll tell you! I was looking for a way to find someone. And I'm not with anyone, and I don't have powers! Now get off!"

[Clair]

Jane laughed, a melodic ringing sound that reverberated off the cold, metal structures of Darklight. Instead of getting off Cuore, she dug both knees into her back.

 

"I'll let you go, if you tell me everything... who are you with? What are you doing? And what is your purpose in this war?"

 

Jane giggled. "If you don't tell me, I'll kill you right here..."

 

To prove her point, she wrapped a slender hand around Cuore's neck, stroking the clammy skin.
