"I'll remove 3 counters from my Iridescent Sanctuary to protect my monsters!" He grimaced, then flinched as the impact from his monsters blew towards him. "Damn... I have to end this quick!"

 

"Okay then, my turn, draw!" He removed a card from his deck and added it to his meager hand. "The effect of Iridescent Dragon that I activate will be to negate and destroy a card effect of other LIGHT monsters I control." He flipped up one of the face-down cards. "Next, I activate 'Resurrection'! I tribute my Soul Convertor to Special Summon 'Dream Hero - Dremius' from my removed from play pile! Now, I'll tribute Dremius to summon 'Dream Hero - Supreme Dremius'!" He scanned his field briefly for a moment. "Now I'll tribute 'Dream Hero - Supreme Dremius' to Special Summon 3 Dream Hero SP Counters (Warrior-type / LIGHT / Level 5 / ATK 1200 / DEF 2000). I'll tribute 2 of the counters and my Iridescent Dragon to Special Summon... Dream Hero - Lifurus, the God of Dreams!" The three tributed monsters converted into glowing orbs and merged together and as soon as they made contact, another blinding green light flashed and it could be seen within a mile's diameter. Then an enormous silhouette could be made out of the remnants of mist created from the light.

 

"Behold..." Dremius murmured. This time, Dremius yelled out loudly, "Lifurus, attack his Rooklord!"

As Lifurus came closer to Rooklord, Kay gave one last confident smile. "(Dreamius sure is good at dueling....)" Kay thought to himself as he held his hand out towards his last face-down card. "I activat my face-down! It's a trap card called Last Charge! By discarding three cards in my hand, the damage that I'm about to take is also inflicted upon you!" As Lifurus destroyed Rooklord, both Kay's and Dreamius' LP became 0. The field then disappeared with Kay looking at dreamius with a confident and respectful smile. Kay then walked over to Dreamius. "Hehe, that was an awesome battle Dreamius!" Kay exclaimed.

What? He placed a hand towards his Lifurus, ready to activate his final trap's effect. Then he hesitated and thought a moment... Maybe... maybe it's better this way... He placed both arms to his side and lifted them so his body's position was like a cross as he embraced the shockwave of defeat...

 

Dremius beamed at Kay. "You played very well! I thought I was going to lose right after you had summoned your Negater!" He looked up in the sky, grateful for people like these... grateful for people who could be friends. Kiuren popped out once more and nipped at Kay's fingers, encouraging Valafar to reappear. Dremius held out a hand. "Friends... alright?" He asked thoughtfully.

As Kiuren nipped on Kay's fingers, Kay simply gave a sincere smile. "Hehe...." Kay then noticed Dreamius holding out his hand and asking if they're friends. Kay simply smiled back and grabbed Dreamius' hand. "You betcha!" Just then Valafar appeared and wrapped one of his arm around Kay and the other around Dreamius. "HAHA!!!! That was an awesome duel!!!! And now you guys are friends!!!! That means I'm friends with you guys too!!!!" Valafar exclaimed happily and energetically. Kay then looked at Dreamius with confident eyes. "Hehe, next time when we duel, I'm gonna pull out all the stops!" Kay stated confidently with a friendly smile on his face.

"Ach! Can you not squeeze so hard, Valafar? Then he adressed Kay and Dremius nodded. "Just as I would expect. But don't get too confident. If you get better, I'll also get better." Kiuren flapped his little wings, eyes sparkling, and attempted to climb onto Valafar's shoulder. Dremius had noticed the little dragon's attempts and laughed merrily. Kiuren looked embarrassed and sheepish for awhile and ignored him, still continuing his efforts. "Hey, Kay, wanna go grab something to eat? I'm pretty hungry," Dremius asked.

"Hehe, oh sorry 'bout that Dreamius, I'm just pretty happy right now!" Valafar then noticed Kiuren trying to climb onto his shoulder. "Huh, hehe, here ya go little guy!" Valafar helped Kiuren onto his shoulder. Kay smiled at Dreamius' earlier statement. "You better get better! It wouldn't be too fun to duel a weak opponent. Hehe, but I know you're not a weak opponent!" Kay stated. As Dreamius talked about lunch, Kay's stomach began to growled. "Oh yeah, I haven't ate anything today yet..... Sure let's go!" Kay stated.

Dremius frowned, shaking his head as a thought came right out to the surface of his mind, running alongside Kay. Then Dremius yelled, "I just remembered! How come you were dropped off by plane and not come normally like most other people?" Kiuren poked his head out higher from Valafar's shoulder and supported Dremius by looking confused right on cue. "Oh, and you said you haven't ate anything. You didn't eat breakfast?" Dremius' expression became unreadable. Why did I even ask that question?

"Oh that whole chopper thing. haha, well it's not much of a big deal, the guy in the helicopter just owed my old man a big favor 'cause my dad helped him a couple years back. So I just decided to hitch a ride in his chopper is all. I'm not rich or anything, even though I do want to be, but I'm satisfy with my life." Kay explained. Valafar was slightly floating in the air instead of walking normally on the ground. Valafar thought that way would be more sufficient. "Oh, and about not having breakfast, yeah I was sorta anxious this morning so i forgot to eat breakfast. Anyways, how 'bout you, when did you get to this island?" Kay asked.

'What's the matter? Don't recognize your own brother?' Daniel asked Nikki, slowly advancing.

'You're not my brother.' Nikki responded evenly, backing away, and signalling to Andrew to do the same.

'Who are you?'

Daniel laughed, as a dark form took shape over his right shoulder. "Who, me? I'm Daniel. Remember, sis?" It hissed into his ear. Daniel repeated it back to Nikki.

'You aren't.' Nikki said, growing afraid. 'You aren't Daniel.'

'What do you-?' Andrew began, but Nikki put a hand out to stop him.

'You aren't Daniel.' She repeated.

'Then who am I?' Daniel asked, clearly humouring her, but still advancing, maybe just a little bit faster.

'You're the same person who made Septimus attack Dominic and Maria. Who made Robyn attack Septimus. You're evil.'

The aura on his shoulder instructed Daniel to raise an eyebrow. 'And how would you know anything about any of those duels? Or names?'

Nikki looked taken aback. 'I... I don't know. You're making me do this.'

Daniel grinned. 'Right in one. Call me Ravax. But first, duel me!' He began running towards Nikki as he activated his duel disk.

Dremius smiled. "I've been here 3 days before you arrived. I started term late, because I was too sick to start at the beginning of term. And as for the helicopter, my first impression was that your family was pretty wealthy. Just curious, I don't really need to know, but what did your dad do for that man in order to give you a helicopter ride?" Then Dremius turned his attention to Valafar. "Thanks for giving Kiuren a boost. Although Kiuren can float, like most Duel Spirits can, he can get a bit lazy at times and stay where he is, no matter what I do."

Valafar smiled back at Dreamius. "Hehe, floating in the air is such a convenient thing! Too bad you guys can't fly or float in the air at all, it would make going to the cafeteria much faster!" Valafar stated. "Hehe, I rather stay on the ground thank you....." Kay stated to Valafar as he gave a nervous smile. Kay then turned towards Dreamius. "Well, my dad used to be a pro duelist and the guy who gave me a ride was just starting out. One day he got in trouble with this rich guy for not throwing a duel like the man paid him too. He told me that he originally was going to throw the duel, but my dad was a role model to him and my dad never would throw a duel. However, he already used the money and was in debt to the man, but dad helped him by paying off his debt. From then on, my dad sorta became his mentor. Hehe, of course now my dad is retired from pro dueling, but by any chance have you ever heard of the legendary duelist know as Red Blaze?" Kay asked with a confident smile.

IC: The man came out of a rift where Ravax and Nikki were, he ended up behind Ravax "(A tremendous power is here- !!! That aura! Could it be?!)" the man thought "You..... Ravax......" the man stated, the armor on his left arm turning into a duel disk, the empty slot that was there now had a dark shadow over it, a deck appeared there once the shadow cleared "It's been a long time........ Ravax......." the man stated "I will not allow your plans to unfold." he stated, finally allowing his face to be seen, he had blue eyes and a slightly tanned face.

OOC: Most of the time when you're life points are zero your field is cleared and you have no way of attacking back so it's harder to fight back.

IC: Alexis looked at her deck and looked at the cards and said "nice cards. It would've been good if I got to deal more damage to Athena though." Gaspard replied "your deck can't deal as much damage as my can in one turn. My deck is situation specific Alexis." Alexis nodded and started walking off to central campus. Gaspard followed and said "I sense a shadow duel starting, shall we go and interfere Alexis?" Alexis replied "no, we shouldn't. they will probably run at the moment they see us. either that or they will be ready to take us down." Gaspard agreed and they came up to two young kids dueling. One had an Ultimate Obedient Fiend card on his field. the other Wall of Illusion.

Ravax glanced behind him.

'Ah. Kazuma. How... pathetic. I'll duel you after I finish with the girl.' He turned back to face Nikki, but found Andrew blocking his way.

'You want her?' Andrew asked, 'You're going through me first!

Daniel/Ravax laughed maliciously. 'You're pathetic. You've never even won a duel.'

Andrew's expression hardened. 'I never had any reason to. Now duel!'

Ravax grinned. 'I'd be happy to oblige.'

Strangely, time seemed to... speed up. The duel between Andrew and Ravax went on for maybe 10 minutes, though it only took a few seconds.

'Then I'll begin this by setting a monster in defense mode, and setting two cards facedown!' Andrew stated.

'That's it? Such a shame.' Ravax said. 'I summon Warlord of Destruction! Wipe out his pathetic excuse for a monster!' [3000/3000]

'You've hit Mother Grizzly!' Andrew announced. 'Now I can search my deck to summon Unshaven Angler!' [1500] 'My go!'

 

'I activate Double Summon! Now I can summon two monsters! And since I'm also activating my facedown Jar of Greed, I can draw a card. Now I summon Cure Mermaid!' [1500] 'I tribute Unshaven Angler! Rise! Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo Daedalus!' [2900] 'I'll also use the effect of my facedown Forgotten Temple of the Deep, to remove Cure Mermaid from play. Now, activate Neo-Daedalus' ability! Wipe out every card other than himself on the field, and in both of our hands! Direct attack!'

'And now that I'm ending my turn, Cure Mermaid reforms, ready to knock you dead next turn.'

 

Ravax looked mildly impressed. 'You are a fool, Andrew Makre. You think you can challenge a god!? You will die for your insolence. I activate Pot of greed! Now go, Reverse of Apep and Apep's Enchantment! Apep's enchantment gives you five thousand life points. Reverse of Apep gives it to me, instead. I'm done my turn, mainly because both of those cards are continuous. Do you know how impossible it will be for you to stop me now!?'

 

Andrew grimaced. 'I summon Cloudian - Turbulence.' [800/0] 'All three monsters, direct attack!'

Ravax laughed. 'You are truly pathetic. I activate a second copy of Apep's Enchantment. End turn with a facedown.'

'Hmm...' Andrew was running out of options. Wait a minute... 'I activate Turbulence's ability to summon one Cloudian Smoke Ball. And them, Ocean's Bounty! Now I tribute Cure Mermaid, Turbulence, and the card in my hand, to draw six cards! Two for every destroyed card. That means that I can activate Lucky Cloud, and summon a second Smoke ball, meaning Lucky Cloud draws me another two cards.' Hmm... Found it. 'Activate A Legendary Ocean! Empower all of my monsters! Neo-Daedalus, direct attack!'

'Is that supposed to be a threat?' Ravax laughed horribly. 'I activate yet another copy of Apep's Enchantment! Fifteen thousand life points to me every turn!'

Andrew smirked. 'You really ain't bright, huh? I activate Neo-Daedalus' ability again! Destroy a Legendary Ocean to wipe out all of your cards!'

Ravax cackled. 'I activate my facedown Starlight Road! Wipe out Neo-Daedalus! Now rise, Stardust Dragon!'

Andrew stepped back. Now his opponent had a monster.

'I end my turn with a defense position monster.' He said.

'That's all you can do, isn't it, boy?' Ravax grinned. 'Pathetic. I activate Gateway from Heaven! Now each of us summons as many monsters as possible to our field from our decks or extra decks. Who needs summoning conditions? Go! Stygian Parasite, Apep -Omnipotent Daemon Lord of Chaos, Exoderius Almighty, and,' He cackled again, 'You can't forget; Ravax - Envoy of Eternity!!!' [0/0] [?/?] [8000/8000] [?/?]

 

'First of all, Stygian Parasite will stick onto your defensive monster, forcing him faceup.' Ravax smirked as Andrew revealed his facedown Dupe Frog.

'Now then, let's not forget that Exoderius has what I like to call half-piercing. It's the normal piercing effect, but only half as deadly. Wipe out Dupe Frog, and inflict 3000 damage to his life points!'

Andrew grunted and fell to the ground.

'Apep, direct attack! Make note that his attack score is always equal to half your life points. Now then, Direct attack, Stardust Draon! End this duel!'

"What are you doing with Stardust Dragon! Only Jack Fudo has that card! But I'll end your reign of terror right here!" Kazuma declared, activating his duel disk "Let's duel!" Kazuma declared as he drew five cards "I'll take the first move!" Kazuma declared as he drew his sixth card "I'll summon Darkbolt Hedgehog in attack mode! Next I set two cards face-down and end my turn!" Kazuma declared as a dark version of the Quillbolt Hedgehog appeared on his side of the field "I've changed decks a few times since last time Ravax!" Kazuma declared "(Knowing Ravax, he'll be more ruthless than he was when he beat that kid.)" Kazuma thought.

'You aren't the only one.' Ravax laughed. 'In fact, I think I'll use a different deck right now! Let's go with... oh yes, that one woman had such a powerful deck... I think I'll use hers. I activate the field spell OZ - Worldwide Metaverse. That means that once a turn either player can search their deck and bring an OZ or Summer Wars card into their hand. I'm going to choose Kazuma - Summer Wars! Now I can activate his own ability, by revealing him, discarding something else, and owning OZ - Worldwide metaverse, to special summon King Kazma - Summer Wars!' [2750/2300] 'I think I'll discard Sinister Serpent, but that isn't the point. What's important is that I'll normal summon Love Machine - Scrub!' [1300/750[/b]

'Now, Scrub, wipe out Darkbolt! Direct attack, King Kazma! And don't forget that he gets a 300 point boost for every Summer Wars card, including himself! That's a boost up to 3050!'

Kazuma declared as he drew a card from Defense Draw's effect "(This card would of been useless right now...... Glad I won't draw it next turn.)" Kazuma thought while staring at Ravax with a smirk "This will be the day your reign of terror ends Ravax! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Hey Joe Bob. What room is Violet in now since she beat Andrew." Zack said walking up to Joe Bob. "Come over here Violet. This is your room. Your the one who should of asked in the first place. But at least I'm a nice guy. I mean one time I chose a little kid to save other than a fat man. No I'm kidding. I didn't have the scene yet. Anyway. Joe Bob. hat room number is that room. We can't stand here all day." Zack said as he scratched his nose.

Ravax raised an eyebrow. 'Then take your turn, Kazuma, my foe. For though you may have survived a bit longer, you cannot last long against the almighty power of OZ! Especially since Love Machine - Scrub is only the first in a long line of unbeatable machines! I'll end my turn with two facedown cards.'

 

 

Joe Bob began to drool. 'Woom numbah foah-too-twee.' Then he began giggling like a small child.

'Ravax and Kazuma, fighting to the death!' He said in a singsong voice.

'The winner's gonna need a really good chef! HHHEEEYYY, CHEESEBALLS!!!'

He burst into laughter again, and threw a spoon out of the window, watching it fall several stories down to land on Mr. Toshibo's head.

"My turn!" Kazuma declared. He smirked "I drew it." Kazuma stated "I activate the Spell Card! Dark Tuner Summoning! Now by paying multiples of one hundred life points equal to the level of a Dark Tuner in my hand, I can Special Summon it! And the best part is! This Special Summon is treated as a Normal Summon and I can still summon once more this turn! I pay one thousand life points! I Summon! The Dark Tuner - Nightmare Hand! Now I activate the effect of my Nightmare Hand! I'm able to bring back one level two or lower monster from my Graveyard! I bring back! My Darkbolt Hedgehog! Now I tune my Dark Tuner - Nightmare Hand to my Darkbolt Hedgehog! When the shadows are devoured my even darker shadows! The curtain pulls back and reveals! A world without light! Dark Synchro Summon! Take flight! Dark Stardust Dragon! Dark Stardust Dragon! Take out that Love Machine - Scrub!"

Dremius scratched his head, his expression looking a bit like embarrassed. Dremius replied, "Well... I've heard of him, but I never knew much about him." He looked around for a bit, with his hands in his pockets, when suddenly, his left arm started to burn a bit. Ouch! What was that? He tried not to let Kay notice, he probably had enough things to worry about. He shuffled around his pocket, to see if he had put something in there that shouldn't be. At last, after a moment, he had found a place that had burned more than the rest of the pocket. He removed the item. It was a card and it's picture was burning red, redder than it should have been. He then shook it a little and another Duel Spirit appeared. It was a bluish Pegasus with a red aura surrounding it. It whinnied sadly. Hey Dremius, a voice sounded in his head, I'm hungry! Dremius just gestured for it to wait, and just smiled and shook his head. He hoped that Kay hadn't noticed.

"Oh, well anyways, that was my dad. Yeah, he used to play in the pros a lot, now he's retired to being an artist, which I don't get by the way. Being a pro duelist is much better than being some artist." Kay explained as he continued to walk along. Just then a bluish Pegasus appeared besides Dreamius, and as Kay was about to look over, Valafar stopped and got in the way. "Hey Kay! Did you got the present from your mom yet?" "Present? What present?" "Ah man, I forgot to show you the present your mom got you. It was big! It may be some new cards, or a duel board!" "What?! A duel board! Something this important and you didn't tell me!" "I forgot....." "AHHHH!!!!!" Kay began to chase Valafar around in circles.

Ravax burst into laughter.

'Take him. But the Love Machine can't be beaten that easily. My move. I use OZ to search my deck and bring Kenji's Guest Avatar - Summer Wars into my hand. Now I'll discard Infinite cards, German Boy's Avatar - Summer Wars, and Sinister Serpent, to special summon Sakae - Summer Wars! And if you've half a brain, you'll know that she can reveal any Summer Wars cards in my hand to count them as on the field. Meaning that King Kazma gets a 600 point boost, since I'm revealing Kenji's Guest Avatar and Kenji himself! Plus another 300 from Sakae, who has the same ability of stat increasing! But it doesn't matter, since I summon Kenji now! His ability is useless, but his stats ain't! Kazma, wipe out dark stardust! Sakae, Kenji, direct attacks!'

Kazuma declared, not yet his draw phase "My turn!" Kazuma declared as he drew his card "Hehehe, you're finished Ravax! I activate my Field Spell! Molloseum of the Emperor! Now I activate Double Summon! I pay two thousand Life Points! I summon! Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu!" Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu rose high above Kazuma and Ravax "Now since I used Double Summon! I summon Earthbound Linewalker in defense mode! Now! Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu! Attack directly! Wipe out the rest of his life points!"

Septimus sighed, as he carried Robyn's limp form out of Joe Bob's office. I'm just hoping that losing a duel as Ravax isn't the same as losing a spirit duel... He thought to himself, before laying Robyn down in the infirmary.

'Another one?' Greg asked. Septimus nodded, though he idn't quite understand what Greg meant until he saw all of the bodies lined up in the infirmary.

Oh, no... A horrible feeling of despair overcame Septimus, and he fell heavily into a chair.

They're gone. And I'm the reason why.

 

 

Ravax raised an eyebrow, and laughed.

'You can't, idiot! You took out the last of your life points summoning your earthbound! And that's endgame.' Ravax smirked as he shuffled his deck back together. Then he turned to Nikki.

'And now it's your turn to die.'
