Cal snorted as his Ranto was destroyed. "No matter. Didn't you read Ranto's effect? He won't stay dead, believe me!" He looked at the other girl. "All right, but if I get out of this undefeated, you're getting reported too, just so you know." He looked back at his hand and drew a card. "Perfect. I summon Ghost Hero Blando!"

Once during the duel, you may Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position from the Graveyard. If you do, this card’s ATK is reduced to 0, and when this card is destroyed, remove it from play. This card cannot be used for a Synchro or Fusion Summon or Tributed for a Tribute Summon on the turn it was Special Summoned from the Graveyard. If you control another "Ghost Hero" monster on the field, this card may attack your opponent's Life Points directly.

 

"Then, I special summon Ranto from the graveyard using his effect. Graveyard's effect activates, and I pay 1000 Life points to return his attack to normal." Cal's life point counter dropped 1000 lower, and Ranto's attack became 1800 once again.

"And because I control another Ghost Hero, Ranto's attack becomes 2100, and Blando gains his effect to attack your life points directly, which he will do." Cal watched as Nikki's life point counter dropped 1600 lower than before. "Then, I'll have Ranto attack your first facedown. Go, Ranto!" Ranto created a ball of red energy, which built up, then shot into the card. "Any chains?" Cal asked. Suddenly, the night turned into day. Cal closed his eyes, shading them, as his Ghost Heroes screamed in pain. "What the ..." he said, squinting to see his cards. "It's all right guys, you can do it!" The Graveyard in which they were playing in was still there, but it seemed different during the day. Cal squinted at Nikki. "Did you do this?"

IC: Nikki smiled. 'Of course I have chains. Activate Apep's Curse! Now, instead of inflicting damage to me, you increase your own life points by 500.'

'And that facedown you hit? That'll give me 500 life points, 'cuz it would normall hit you for some damage! Karin, the Queen of Chaos!' [2500/2500] 'My move. And I'lll use Karin's ability to outgame both your ghost heroes, by paying 500 life points. Unfortunately, now I can't attack, so I'll just summon Maligen, Chaotic Tuner!' [1000/500] 'End turn with another facedown card.'

[Princess Judai]

"I draw, and I Normal Summon Unicorn Familiar in Defense Mode!"

A horned imp-like creature appeared on Candice's field and hissed at the Clown Princess. (1000 DEF)

"Next I will remove Unicorn Beacon in my hand from play to Special Summon Monoceros in Defense Mode!"

A large horned beast the looked like a rhinoceros, a horse, and an ox mixed together stomped onto one of Candice's Monster Card Zones and bellowed. (1000 DEF)

[Ace Daimon]

"Impressive. You aren't afraid of me, and you just seem curious instead of hesitant. I will continue the duel."

The Clown Princess drew her card, and smiled.

"I draw, and I play Toon Table of Contents, allowing me to add Toon World to my hand, which I activate."

A book popped up, and flipped to a certain section, which caused another book to appear. The second book devoured the first, becoming larger in the process, and then turned to a pair of pages that caused a circus pop-up to pop up. (Princess: 3000 LP)

"Now I will activate Continual Barrier."

A glowing Infinity symbol appeared in front of Toon World and proceeded to emit a green field around the card.

"Now you can't destroy my Toon World with your card effects. Now I will Special Summon Clown Warrior - Sango in Attack Mode!"

A cute, yet scantily-clad, clown girl with multi-colored hair, a makeup pattern that looked almost exactly like the Princess's, and a giant boomerang jumped out of Toon World and waved at Candice. (1700 ATK)

"Now I will activate Risk Option from my hand."

A bank teller erupted from the ground, and another infinity symbol appeared in front of the teller.

"Next I will Special Summon Clown Warrior - Ami in Attack Mode!"

Another clown, this one in a stripped-down version of a sailor fuku uniform, landed on the Princess' field. (1400 ATK)

"Now I will activate Sango's effect, changing your Defense Position Familiar to Attack Mode and my Attack Position Ami to Defense Mode!"

Sango spun around a few times, then hurdled her boomerang, causing Ami to duck and the Familiar to leap out of the way, leaving him exposed. (0 ATK) (1800 DEF -> 2000 DEF)

"Now, thanks to my Risk Option, I get to draw a card, which I will now Special Summon! Come on out, Clown Warrior - Rukia!"

A beautiful, yet slightly short, clown maiden with a modified kimono and a sharp blade readied herself for combat. (1900 ATK)

"Now, Rukia, attack Unicorn Familiar!"

Rukia charged at the critter, raising her sword above her head.

'I'll begin this,' Daniel said, in his strange accent, which a few of the students found vaguely familiar. 'By summoning Weapons Master of Apep's Reign, and equipping him with Sacred Blade of Apep!' [1800/1500] 'End turn by setting two cards facedown.' By this time some of the students knew something was up with Daniel.

 

'I summon Soulwing - Gato the Shroud!' [1400/1400] Lyn called out, and a large dove-like angel appeared. 'Ability activate! Special summon from my deck, Soulwing - Gato the Shroud. Now I'll set two cards facedown and end my turn.'

 

'I summon Jain, Lightsworn Paladin, and set three cards facedown.' Dominic grinned. He had drawn a good hand.

 

 

'I summon Gene Warped Werewolf! [2000/0] Take down Weapons Master!' The advisor battling Daniel said. But Daniel shook his head.

'I activate Barrier of Apep. Now I can cancel an attack by taking away 200 of your life points, and 300 of mine. My move. Weapons Master, use your ability to drain away 500 of his life points to search your deck for another Apep's Reign Equip Spell. I'll equip you with another Sacred Blade. Go, Magician of Apep's Reign! Weapons Master, take down the Gene-Warped Werewolf! Magician, direct attack!'

"(..... I'm getting Jack away from this guy..... there's something I don't like about him.....)" Slifer thought just before pulling Jack away from Blade "Huh? Wha? Huh? Wha?" Jack asked while fighting to get free of Slifer........ but he was no match "Whoa!" Jack yelled while being pulled about a kilometer away...... then two...... then three...... then four...... then five...... then six.... then seven..... until Slifer finally stopped.

[Corvidae]

'I'm gonna activate polymerization, to summon Ambulance Rescueroid!' Lyn's opponent said, summoning the monster. 'Take down Gato!'

'I activate Graceful Wings! This counterstrikes all damage towards you instead!'

'My move. I tribute Gato to summon Soulwing - Shile the Beam [2200/1700]! Now I'll use his ability to summon another copy. Attack!'

And when Jack and Slifer stopped, there was a young boy, maybe 12 years old, dressed in street clothes, kneeling in front of another boy. The older boy was wearing an Obelisk Blue jacket, and lying, unmoving, on the ground, his open eyes seeing nothing. The boy looked up at Jack, tears streaking his face.

'The Wicked Gods did this to him.' He breathed, looking down at Brendan's limp, lifeless body.

[The White Wolf]

"Wha?" Jack asked before looking at Slifer, Slifer had a 'I know and don't know what's going on' look on his face "Slife..... do you know what's going on?" Jack asked "..... Yes and no..... I've heard tales of the Wicked Gods....... they're evil counterparts of us Egyptian Gods........" Slifer explained "But I thought they were myths.......... looks like...... I was wrong........ they're hard to beat........ but if you get the other two Egyptian Gods........ you know what'll happen....." Jack nodded at Slifer before picking up the Obelisk Blue boy, not knowing what to do.

[Corvidae]

The young boy stood up. 'It was the Wicked Avatar who did this. It's somewhere in the Obelisk dorms. Bring Brendan to Headmaster Joe Bob. And show him this as well.' He handed Jack a card. 'Give it to Joe Bob, and pray he'll be able to use it.' The boy turned the card right side up, revealing Uria, Lord of Searing Flames. 'The Wicked Gods, the Egyptian gods, and the Sacred Beasts. A triangle of power. The Wickeds are on top.' He walked past Jack, heading towards Joe Bob's office, mentioning nothing of the other cards he had in his pocket.

 

 

'I'm gonna summon a defensive monster and end my turn with one facedown card.' His foe wasn't much of a challenge. Dominic grinned.

'I summon Jenis, Lightsworn Mender, and flip up two copies of Light Spiral! Now I'll use LightSworn Barrier, and play the field card Realm of Light! Jain, attack!' The instructor took a step back as Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier was destroyed. 'Jenis, direct attack! Now I end my turn by knocking off the top two cards of my deck. Light Spiral lets me outgame your top two cards, Jenis lets me steal 500 of your life points, and Realm of Light gets one shine counter, which empowers all my lightsworns. Go.'

"Uria? The opposite of Slifer?" Jack asked looking up at Slifer "Come on Slife!" Jack yelled before running to Joe Bob's office, when he finally arrived, he entered without knocking "Emergency alert!" Jack yelled "(I don't know what else to say.......... I usually know exactly what to say!!)" Jack yelled in his head with an expression of concern on his face "....... !!!!!! ?????" with confusion, and no knowledge at the same time.

[Princess Judai]

"Not so fast!" Candice replied. "I activate my Unicorn Familiar's effect, removing him and Monoceros from play!" Unicorn Familiar's horn flashed, and the two vanished. "Ha! Now I activate my-" Candice then looked down at her Duel Disk to realize she didn't have her face-down Trap Card, Different Dimension Barrier - Lost Force, that she normally had in her hand when she started, since she had 3 copies of the thing. "Uhh...umm...how about I redo my last turn, eh? He he he..."

[Corvidae]

'I summon Zombyra the Dark. Attack the Magician!' Daniel shook his head slowly. 'Barrier of Apep. You lose 200, I lose 300.' 3400/1550 'Now it's my turn. Weapons Master, find me the third Sacred Blade, and wipe out 500 more of his life points. Now, wipe him out.'

The students watching were impressed. This boy Daniel had barely taken 500 damage, and he was the first to win. Several of them cheered as he was handed a Ra Yellow jacket.

 

 

'I'll set a monster in defense mode.' Said Lyn's opponent. 'And end my turn.'

Lyn grinned. 'I summon Soulwing - Nedae the Flare! [1500/0] And I'll use her ability to summon another one! Attack!'

'You've hit Gyroid. It takes two hits to kill him.'

'Fine. Shile, wipe it out. Nedae, end this.'

Lyn high-fived several Slifer students as she made her way to the advisor who was giving Daniel a Ra jacket. He handed Lyn a Red jacket, after correctly guessing her size, as he had done to Daniel.

 

 

Joe Bob stared at Jack, with half of a watermelon balanced on his head, and a shoe halfway to his mouth. 'I didn't do it.' He said automatically. Then he thought for a second, throwing the shoe to the ground, where it landed on a duel disk thatc was spray painted Pink and Green. 'What didn't I do?'

[The White Wolf]

"Huh?" Jack asked "I found this boy on the ground.... and. WHAT?! Oh ya, another boy this boy was with told me to give you this..... the exact opposite of the card in my deck." Jack explained while putting the boy on the ground and handing Joe Bob Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, then showing him Slifer the Sky Dragon from his deck, along with the card Slifer's Summoning "(I hope he doesn't try to steal this guy from me hehe.......)" Jack thought.

[Ace Daimon]

The Clown Princess laughed at Candice, but not rudely. "I am sorry, but I will not give you the ability to redo your turn. I will, however, not redo Rukia's attack and just have Sango attack you directly instead."

Sango went towards Candice, and whacked her upside the head with her boomerang. (Candice: 2300 LP)

"I end my turn."

A smile split Joe Bob's face. 'I remember her! It sniffed my pants and then there was the bird and then the guy did the thing with the shiny and there were the bunny and I LOSE! Then I was here because I won and he lost and because I was there we will eat cake.' He took Uria. 'Seven up!' He said, then threw his watermelon out the window, where it landed on a duck, splattering all over the place. 'Now then,' He said with a sky look in his eye. He pulled the window blinds down, as the door closed behind Jack, probably because of the wind. He waved his hand over a facedown pile of cards on his deck, and flipped it up, revealing the bottom card to be Uria. Suddenly, Jack was no longer holding Uria, he was holding a Mokey Mokey card.

'Where did you get this card?' He asked, suddenly more serious than ever before, except for once.

'This is a Sacred Beast. Who gave this to you?'

 

 

'I'm gonna summon Familiar Possessed - Eria! Attack Jain!'

'Bring it.' Dominic grinned. 'Because that'll cost you 50 life points.' 4500/2950 'Realm of light empowers him by 100 points. My go. I'll summon Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress. [1700/200] Now, Lyla, Jain, direct attacks!'

'Not quite. I flip up draining shield! This gives me 1900 points!' 4500/3050

Dominic groaned. 'Jenis, direct hit!' 4500/2450 'Now I'll end my turn by tossing out 5 cards from my deck, removing four cards from your deck, and stealing 1000 of your life points.' He grinned, seeing what card he had destroyed. 'Wulf, Lightsworn Beast, rise!' [2100/300] 'Plus, Realm of light adds another 200 points to all my lightsworns.'

"A boy that I found this boy with." Jack explained while pointing with the Mokey Mokey card to the ground where he put the boy, then throwing the Mokey Mokey card behind him "Well, I'm not really that surprised, I was more surprised when my great uncle gave me these." Jack explained while holding up Slifer the Sky Dragon and Slifer's Summoning so they can be more visible "And DON'T even think about changing these two with Mokey Mokeys." Jack stated.

Crap. Matthias had tripped after not finding Damion at the Slifer Dorm, he had been nocked unconcious, and out for... who knows how long. His elbow was bleeding, and his left arm had a good sized gash on it. He got up and instantly fell again. His leg was bent at a lightly wierd angle. No. Where am I? He looked around. He tripped over a bush and slid downhill into a flat area. He was only 100 yards from the slifer dorms. "Help!" He called out. Looking back again, his leg was very bent. "Agh, HELP!"

Violet shrugged and decided to just head back to the slifer dorms. She really needed to get back before it got to late. So she picked up her Ra jacket and made her way back. As she was walking she thought she heard someone call for help. "Hello?" She called out waiting for a bit. "I must be hearing things."

 

She wasn't that far from that far from the slifer dorms, and she started walking again until she heard "Agh, HELP!"

 

She turned her head startled, "Ok, that time I was not hearing things. Hello!? Where are you!?"

Matthias had heard Violet yell out. "Down Here!" He called back. His leg was starting to really hurt. "Help!" He called again. His slifer red jacket was torn up badly and his body wasn't doing much better. "Hurry!" He shouted out. Until now he had been able to block out the pain mostly, now it all came rushing in. He knew he broke his leg in the fall, but he looked painfully around to see anything else that might be wrong. His knuckles were bloody and both his knees were badly scraped, plus his elbow and the gash on his arm. I must have fell hard... "Hurry!" He called once more to help whoever was out there to pinpoint where he was.

Joe Bob nodded. 'Find the boy and bring him to me.'

 

Aiden and Griffyn paused, certain they had heard something.

'Let's check it out.' Aiden said. Griffyn nodded, and they both ran up to Matthias.

'What happened?' Griffyn asked, and Aiden tried to help Matthias to his feet.

 

'Go Dom!' Lyn called out, as she put on her Slifer Red jacket. 'You can do it!'

Daniel said nothing, until an older boy sat down next to him. 'You know, you remind me of somebody...' Andrew said absentmindedly. Daniel glanced at him, before turning his eyes back to the duel.

'No, really.' He went on. 'This girl I know, Nikki, you know her?'

'No.' Daniel muttered.

'See, there it is again! You talk just like her. Are you sure you don't know her?' Andrew asked, not one to be put off.

 

'I activate Monster Reborn! Now I'll revive Gragonith, Lightsworn Dragon, from your graveyard. [2000/1600] 'Take down Jain!'

Dominic smirked. 'Don't you remember Realm of Light? I'm stronger.'

'Not quite, since Realm of Light empowers all Lightsworns!' 5500/1450

'Then I'll use Lightsworn barrier to toss off the top two cards of my deck and cancel the attack. Jenis, steal 500 more life points! And now you have to toss off three cards, which empowers all Lightsworn monsters again! Jenis, defense mode. Wulf, Wipe out the Dragon.' 6000/850 'Jain, end the duel!' The few Slifers in the stands, led by Lyn, cheered as his opponent's life points hit 0. 6000/0

Matthias noticed the two people approach him. He started to reply to Griffyn's question. "I..I fe- Ow!" He dropped back to the ground, which hurt his leg all the more. "I fell, and... I think I got knocked out from it. I'm bleeding everywhere... my leg's broken." He turned to look at his leg, turned at a horrid angle. Then he hurridly tried to get up and balance on one foot but fell trying to get under his good leg. "Agh!" Come to think of it. I havn't ever broken anything in a fall before.

Quickly before doing anything else, she took off her Slifer jacket and put on the Ra yellow on. She then put the Slifer one back on, thankful that she had asked for a particularly large jacket for her size. Violet then searched the area tryng to find out where he was. She was thankful he kept shouting because she had to turn around, as she was heading in the wrong direction. "Hold on! I think I see you!" She yelled carefully manuvering her way through the bushes. It was so dark she could barely see, and she almost fell a couple of times.

 

"Oh, my god!" Violet gasped in surprise when she finally found the badly injured Slifer. There were also others already helping him to his feet. One of them she recognized, "Aiden?"

[Corvidae]

'Come on, Griff.' Aiden said, checking Matthias for any other serious injuries. 'Get somebody to help.' Griffyn nodded and ran off.

'Matthias?' Aiden asked. 'You'll be fine. Griff's going to get somebody to help. You'll be fine.' He turned to Violet. 'That's me. Hey, you think you can watch him while I try and find Joe Bob?'

 

Daniel smiled ruefully as he watched Mace, Shade, Zelkiax, Titin, and Blade entered the Arena Building. He slipped into the stands, watching the people he was sent here to destroy.

 

 

'I'm gonna summon Iron Chain Coil, and set a card facedown.' Blade said. 'And then I'll activate Poison Chain! Take out the top card of your deck. I'm done.'

 

'Ojama Trio, clog up the field! Now go, Ground Collapse!' Shade grinned. 'End turn by summoning Grave Protector, and one facedown card.'

 

'Defensive monster and three facedowns.' Mace said, placing the cards. 'Go.'

 

'Go, Ookazi! 800 damage. Now, Solar Flare Dragon!' Titin laughed. 'Two facedowns will end my turn.'

 

'The Death God's Castle! Rise, the Mighty Hades - Lord of Death!' Zelkiax's opponent stared in awe at the huge skeletal Warrior standing in front of him. 'Skeletal Trooper and a facedown and I'm through.'

Matthias couldn't get past the pain anymore, his mind was numbbed with it, he couldn't think at all. Maybe getting hurt in a fall is worse than getting hurt by a weapon? He didn't see how though, he had always been surefooted. He didn't see how he could trip on such easy climbing material. His mind erupted into pain again. Agggai! Then the pain subsided. No. I didn't just fall. But what else could happen? More pain, but this time, it didn't let up.

"Yep! Sure thing." Violet agreed casting a worried glace at Matthias. "Just make sure you hurry back. I really can't do anything for him." Violet said scratching the back of her head. How on earth did he fall? It must've been a pretty hard fall. She couldn't help but wince as she looked over Matthias. Violet knew he was in pain, it was very obvious, ans she was bummed that she couldn't do anything to really help.
