Duel Academy - Rise of the Wicked Gods (Started/No Longer Accepting)

You've heard of the Egyptian gods? How about the Fiend Gods? Or maybe even, the Wicked Gods?

 

The Wicked Avater, The Wicked Eraser, The Wicked Dreadroot. These three cards have been imbued with the life force of three ancient pharoahs. Each is now extremely powerful, in both the card game and real life, and priceless, since only one copy of each has survived to this day. These three cards were once owned by a single man, a great, rich man. But this man was careless, and was killed by thieves, when they stole the cards. But one of them turned on the other in an attempt to get all three for his own. In the battle that ensued, both men were killed, and the Wicked Gods were lost.

 

You are the next generation of young duelists. You have recently been brought into the Duel Academy, which is now taking up the task of recovering the Wicked Gods, to lock them away, and prevent them from being used for evil, for when a player loses against a Wicked God, they are sent to the Shadow Realm.

 

The Shadow games are back. You and few others are their only opposition. Are you ready? It's time to duel!

Bio: Dante was always a good duelist. He's been dueling since he was a young boy, before he was even old enough to pronounce the cards' names. (Like me! True fact) Dante was introduced to the Duel Academy when a man who was, in fact, sent to bring a different boy to the Academy, saw Dante battling against the boy he was supposed to bring back. The man promptly brought Dante along with him to the Duel Academy, where Dante quickly made his way up to one of the top ranks in the school. Obelisk Blue.

Appearance: Nikki has long black hair and intelligent dark brown eyes. She wears an emerald green T-shirt, and a long white skirt that goes down to around her knees.

Bio: Nikki usually prefers to stay silent, and keep her secrets. And she has many. When she was only seven, she landed a man in the hospital, and got another man arrested for it. Nobody knows she was guilty at all. Nikki's personality is also shown in her deck type. She looks like she's going suicidal, until she plays a single card and the entire plan falls into place, and her opponent has no chance of survival. Though it may not seem like it, and nobody has realized it yet, but Nikki's never lost. Another secret she prefers to keep. One of many...

Appearance: Tim is short for his age, and wears his red Slifer jacket unbuttoned over a black shirt. He often wears a pair of faded blue jeans, and has a baseball hat over his head, often tilted at an unnatural angle. He has tousled brown hair, and bright blue eyes.

Main Card: Exodia the Forbidden One

Bio: Tim isn't much good at Duel Monsters. He won a scholarship to the academy, by fluking a win against the instructor. He's fairly new at the academy, but has managed to luck his way through to ending up ready to battle for a chance to move up to Ra Yellow dorm. His deck used fairly weak cards, but Tim is incredibly lucky, and often ends up playing strategies people had never concieved before, which can end up destroying even the toughest foes.

Bio: Smart, but impatient and short tempered. He is immature but is serious in difficult situations. His impatience causes him trouble because he rushes right into situations that he thinks he can handle. He hates it when people trash talk about him behind his back. He doesn't get much sleep so he tends to fall asleep in class, and has a strong bond with his older brother.

Bio:Zack was born with a really cruel brother and sister. They would make fun of him and play pranks and double gang him since he was 8 years old. Nothing really happened in his life until he was 10. When he turned 10 he started playing this game called Duel Monsters. He got into it really fast. He became the best in his school. No one wanted to challenge him. Until one day he became a Pro. That got everyone wanting to challenge him. He beat everyone. No matter how much they tried. Zack ran a Lockdown Deck. The deck stopped the opponent to be a able to summon or play a Spell or trap. Then the monsters would beatdown the opponent.

Name: Violet Fairfield

Dorm Red

Bio: Violet is an only child, and some people would consider her spoiled. She never did flaunt her money around and prefered to do things on her own than have others do it for her. Violet first found out about duel monsters was 5 thanks to her father, who at the time had an intrest in the game. Her mother never approved of dueling because she believed it to be a waste of time. Her father would always take the time to show her new cards, or new combos he may have learned. When Violet was 8 her mother caught a deadly sickness and on her death bed. A week later she died. Violet doesn't remember crying at her funeral, only when she was alone in her room. From then on she lived alone with her father. After her mom's death he stopped teaching Violet Duel Monsters his self, but did let her keep the deck he put together. He now works as a doctor, and isn't ever really home. He was however supportive when She told him that she made it to the Red Dorm. Violet is an outgoing, and energetic girl. She's very naive and always seems to find herself in some sort of trouble, because of that most people doesn't take her seriously. She love's helping people but because she's easily tricked she's not always helping the right people. Violet always love to learn new things. She is always seen with a smile on her face even when she's sad because she doesn't want to bother anyone else with her problems.

Bio: Forza grew up in an orphanage. He rarely speaks outside of dueling, prefering to listen than to talk. One day forza found some cards inside a beaten up box near the orphanage. He became obsessed with them and wanted to learn more. He enrolled in duel academy but feared that he would be rejected because of his lack of wealth, friends or family. To his suprise he was accepted, though dissapointed when he was given a red jacket instead of his favourite colour, blue.

Bio: Ryo has been rased up like any normal child with a Passion for dueling. Well, mostly a Normal life. His Uncle has been a successful Profetional duelist since he's left duel Acdemany as a Obelisk blue and basicly has rased him up to become the best duelist he can during the summertime; Since his family were just not able to afford To tutor themselves and the fact that Did not get his Uncle's dueling skill. He's now off to duel acdemany to train himself thurther. With a watered down and moderfyed verson of his Uncles deck as a Gift and Luck he made it to Ra yellow in the exams. But now he seems a little more...Well, Conserned like hes hiding a secret.

IC: Andrew shrugged. 'No clue. Why Principle Bob wants all us Ra's in the arena is beyond me.'

Nikki thought for a second, as they walked down the hallway to the duel arena in the middle of the academy.

'Could be some Slifer duelist's finally advancing.' She said thoughtfully.

'What? Some Slifer slacker's gonna advance to Ra? Come on, seriously, they have to beat one of us first. And you know I don't get beat, 'specially by some worthless Slifer trash.'

Nikki pursed her lips, but said nothing. Finally, they entered the Arena and sat down at the end of the row of other Ra Yellow students.

 

Joe Bob, the headmaster, led Tim Valkerie into the duel arena.

'To advance to Ra Yellow, you must defeat any Ra student. Choose anybody to face in the Yellow dorm.' He said.

Tim ran his eyes over the row of students, all wearing yellow Ra jackets, sweating profusely. I'm not ready for this. I lucked out getting into this academy, I lucked out on my finals, I'm a horrible duelist. But there's no backing out now. Who looks easiest to beat? He ran his eyes over the Ra students sitting in the stands, before his eyes came to rest on Nikki, sitting at the end of the row.

'Nikki Heartstrung.' He said, in a clear voice. Joe Bob nodded.

'Nikki, come down here, please.'

Nikki looked mildly surprised at Tim's challenge, but she stood up all the same. And as she did, Andrew slipped a deck of cards into her hand. Nikki glanced at him, and proceeded down to the arena, replacing her own deck with Andrew's.

'Now then, the winner of this duel determines Tim here's dorm. If he wins, he's a Ra student. If Nikki wins, he stays at Slifer.' Joe Bob the principal said. 'And so, let the duel begin!'

The stands erupted into cheers as both students activated their duel disks.

"Not another Promotion duel..." A Ra yellow Regreted. He sat the fifth row up from the Main arena. His light brown hair and Blue eyes Made him look normal amongst the Other students. Desiding this to not be at the top of his things to watch he Got out a Small notepad and started to do some doodles and skecthes from various Video Games he had played like Sonic the hedgehoga and that, Hiding it swiftly when any teachers looked his way or went past him before geting back out.

The Ra next to him shrugged.

'Be glad he's not having them play with each others' decks, or, what did he call it? Tug of war dueling?' He shrugged. 'Headmaster Joe Bob has some issues with reality.'

 

Meanwhile, Joe Bob was dancing around, singing about how his pants had been stolen by cheese underwear.

 

Tim drew a card from his deck. 'I'll begin this duel by summoning Speed Warrior!' A figure with silvery armor appeared on the field.

'Now I'll play Pot of Greed, which lets me draw two cards. And then I'll set three cards facedown, and activate Bait Doll, which forces the activation of my facedown Appropriate card. End turn.'

Nikki looked through the cards in her hand, figuring out how Andrew's deck worked.

'I'll set two facedown cards, and activate the spell card Change of Heart. Now I control your Speed Warrior for one turn.' The warrior walked over to Nikki's side of the field. 'Then I'll summon my own monster, Deep Sea Diva!' A mermaid appeared, to join Speed Warrior. 'With her ability, I can also special summon, from my deck, Mermaid Archer.' A giant turtle-like beast appeared, with a crossbow-wielding mermaid riding atop its shell. 'Synchro summon! Rise, Sea Dragon Lord Gishilnodon!'

Violet grinned as she watched the duel take place below. She stood up and cupped her mouth, "Go Tim! You show that Ra who's boss!!" This warrened a few glares from the section of yellow jacket, and cheering from the red jackets. She didn't even know the guy,only seen him in the halls walking or something. They probably had class together....Whatever he's a Slyfer so thats all need to know.

 

She continued cheering loudly for him, and finally sat back down once a teacher had gave her an evil eye. It kind of pissed her off when the same teacher over lookd a Ra Yellow doing the same thing she was. Just because they were in Slyfer Red doesn't mean that we're bad duelest. Maybe we just do poorly on written test!!

OCG: Anyone want to be my room mate?

 

IC: Zack was furious. He was late and yet no one in his room had woke him up.

"Ohh when I get to class I'm going to give my room mate a huge lecture." He breathed under his breath.

The other thing he was missing right now was a Promotion Duel. Then he could finally turn into a Ra Yellow. Zack had just got to the top of the hill to where the Duel Academy was. He ran up to the Academy as the blazing hot sun shone in his face. His body toke a erosion impact as he entered the Academy. Zack heard the sounds of voices coming from the Duel Arena, so most likely his class was there at the moment.

'Speed Warrior, attack him directly!' Nikki's Deep-Sea Diva turned into a pair of bright stars, which formed two rings around her Mermaid Archer. The mermaid flew through the rings, and a large water dragon appeared on the other side. {ATK: 2300 -> 3000} flashed on the screen overhead. Speed Warrior attacked Tim, and the screen flashed his life point score. {4000 -> 3100}

'Gishilnodon, attack!' Nikki called out, and the dragon launched an orb of water directly at Tim. He fell back in surprise, as his life points flashed on the screen {Life Points: 3100 -> 100}. Nikki was stronger than he had expected. One turn and she already had dropped him to 100 life points. But I'm not done yet. He thought, looking at the cards in his hand.

 

A bunch of the Ra students cheered when Nikki dropped Tim to 100 life points in one single, incredible move, Andrew leading them. He glanced triumphantly at the Slifer section, which was now very quiet.

'You can do it, Tim!' Somebody shouted, and the entire Slifer section erupted into cheers.

 

 

Dante was also late for the Promotional Duel. He had been dueling, and winning, against somebody else, but had been interrupted by somebody else telling him about the duel. As Dante walked slowly through the corridors, he saw several other late students, mostly Slifers. He rolled his eyes, as he enterred the Arena, just in time to see Tim take a massive hit from Gishilnodon. He smirked. That lousy Slifer doesn't stand a chance, even against a Ra.

 

Joe Bob continued dancing around the arena, like a large, round, ball with short limbs. Most of the Obelisk Blue students just stared at their demented headmaster.

'Who put him in charge?' Somebody asked, and everybody near him burst into laughter.

Tim glanced at the Blue Jackets to his left, and, assuming they were laughing at him, he hardened his resolve to win.

OOC: I don't mind if you don't. Unless you wanted a male roommate.

 

Violet sighed, shaking her head of pink and white hair from side to side. They had such a weird prinicipal, but he was fun. Not ony tat but he was usually the only one who didn't treats us Slifers like losers. She continued cheering for Tim, as something in the back of her mind began nagging her. She felt like she was forgeting something. She shrugged, "Oh well, it must not be important then."

 

She winced when Tim took another blow from Nikki's monster. Eve though she really wanted Tim to get promoted, unless he turned the tides in his favor, he wasn't going to win.

ooc: They don't have roommates of different genders. There's different dorms for girls and boys, even of the same colour jacket.

IC: 'I activate my facedown Solemn Wishes card! Now whenever I draw a card, I gain 500 Life Points! Then I'll also activate The Gift of Greed, trap card. This forces you to draw two cards.' Tim said, desperate for a comeback, to prove he was worthy of joining the Ra Yellow dorm. 'And thanks to Appropriate, this lets me draw twice that much.' He added four cards into his hand. 'Now, since I drew cards, Solemn wishes gives me five hundred life points!' {100 -> 600} 'I'll also summon Armageddon Knight, in attack mode. Using his ability, I'll send Battle Fader from my deck into my graveyard.'

Nikki raised an eyebrow. 'Now I know what deck you're using.' Tim stiffened. 'You're decking yourself.'

Tim shook his head, relieved that Nikki didn't know Tim was using an Exodia deck. 'I play the spell card Double Summon. Now I can also summon Junk Synchron. And I'll use his ability to revive Battle Fader to my side of the field. Now, Synchro Summon!' His Junk Synchron turned into three stars, which formed into rings. His other three monsters flew through the rings, and formed a large, grotesque monster. 'Mist Wurm, clear her field!' Nikki aknowledged Mist Wurm's ability, and put the two facedown cards on her field into her hand, placing Gishilnodon instead into her Extra Deck. 'Direct attack!'

{4000 -> 1500} The screen flashed Nikki's life points. 'My move.' She said, a strategy already forming in her complex mind.

 

Dante took a seat with the other Obelisk students, and watched the duel, unlike most of the others, who didn't concern themselves with the matters of their lessers. Know thine enemy flashed through his head. Dante grinned, watching the duel raptly. But he was confused by something. Last time Nikki had dueled, she had been using dark monsters, not mermaids and ocean dragons. Either she's got a new deck, or...

ooc: Oh right, Should've figured that.

 

Ic: "Yeah! Way to go Tim! Keep it up!!" Violet shouted again, somehow her voice being louder than the cheering Slifer's around her. After that combo he pulled he may actually win this thing. That is if Nikki hadn't come up with some smart plan....Darn smart yellow jackets...This had to be one of the better duels since school had started. Unfortunantly, she hadn't hd a chance to duel yet, but she was paitent. Sooner or later her time would come, and she would show all of those arrogane Ra yellows, and stuck up Obelisk blues that she wasn't some Slifer Slacker. Violet was getting pumped the longer she watched the duel. She wanted to get in there but knew that, that would mean detention. The teachers here are so strict, except for a few maybe....

'I summon a monster in defense mode, and set three cards facedown. Now I'll activate the spell card Exchange.' Nikki revealed the two cards in her hand to be Stumbling and Defense Draw. Tim revealed his hand, of Offerings to the Doomed, Destiny Hero Defender, and Des Lacooda. Both of their hands were displayed on the overhead screens, and Nikki and Tim traded Stumbling for Offerings to the Doomed. 'End turn.'

Tim grinned. 'I'll summon Des Lacooda in attack mode. Mist Wurm, attack her defense monster.' The holographic card exploded, revealing Man-Eater Bug. The giant insect grabbed Mist Wurm in its claws, and both of them were destroyed. Tim groaned slightly as his monster was destroyed, but proceeded with the duel.

'Des Lacooda, direct attack!' The undead monster rammed into Nikki, dropping her by 500 Life Points. {1500 -> 1000}

'Now, use your ability to switch to facedown defense position.' Tim was making quite a comeback. But Nikki wasn't quite out of tricks yet.

 

Dante watched this battle with something that could resemble amusement. That girl Nikki... she's not using the same deck she used to. Something about increasing life points... But Exchange, there's a good choice of cards right there.

Forza quietly sat in his seat, taking in the scene in front of him. A Slifer Red was dueling a Ra Yellow. The ranking system at the dueling academies always confused forza. "Isn't Ra the strongest of the gods? So shouldn't it be the top rank, not Obelisk?" He thought as he studied the crowd of youths around him.

 

Forza wanted to be in Obelisk Blue since their jacket colour was blue, his favourite. But he was placed in Slifer Red. And being in his second last year at this academy he saw no point in putting himself through all the tedious promotion duels, just to get a different coloured jacket. In a year he'll be getting a white jacket with red as the secondary colour any way, like all sophomore students.

 

"Ooooh." The sound of the impressed audience brought forza out of his thoughts and back to the duel. Guess I should pay more attention to the duel. He thought. I wonder what card will win the duel . . .

[Sp1at]

Zack was rushing through the hall when he tripped on someone on the floor.

"Ahhhhhhh" Zack said as his face was smothered against the floor.

"Hey! You mind watching where your going Slifer Slacker." He Ra Yellow said.

"I'm sorry sir. I was late and I really want to be promoted." Zack paused for a moment.

"I'm Zack. What's your name? . . . Oh you want me to help you with that?"

"I'm Phil. And sure why not." Phil said as he picked up some of his cards that were spilled on the floor.

Zack started picking up some cards when he saw a monster called "Devastator - Sky" it had 4500 attack points.

"Wow a monster with 4500 attack points." Zack said with shock.

"Oh yeah that card is really handy"

[Corvidae]

Phil took his card back.

'The devastator - Sky Forme is one of the strongest monsters in my deck. An incredibly powerful beating stick, it's second only to Griffon itself. Unmatched in strength. Come on, the Promotional Duel sounds intense.'

Phil turned and began walking back to the arena, shuffling his deck expertly, before sliding it into his duel disk.

 

'I play Pot of Greed. Now I draw two cards.' Nikki drew her cards, and Tim added four more cards to his already oversized hand. {1100 -> 1600}

'Now that brings me up to 1600 Life Points.' He bragged, but stopped when Nikki gave him an evil glare.

'Good for you. I summon a second Deep Sea Diva. Special summon Mermaid Archer, and synchro summon! Come on back, Gishilnodon! Attack his facedown Des Lacooda!'

Tim made a face. 'Take it. I activate Stumbling. Now whenever a monster is summoned, it goes into defense mode. But more importantly, I activate Raigeki! Destroy Gishilnodon! I'll end my turn by summoning Destiny Hero Defender in defense mode. End turn.'

Nikki drew two cards, as did Tim. 'I'll use Offerings to the Doomed to destroy Defender. End turn.'

'Yeah, but thats another 500 life points, and a card.' Tim was thouroughly enjoying his duel now, as he watched the screen flash; {3100 -> 3600} 'I'll destroy Stumbling to make room for two new facedown cards, and Infinite Cards. Now my hand is limitless. Now I summon, Sangan!' A short, hairy monster with three eyes appeared on Tim's side of the field. {1000ATK} The screen flashed. 'Direct attack for game!'

The Reds burst into cheers, as the Yellow students slumped in their seats. Except for Andrew. He stood up and shouted out, 'Win this, Nik!'

 

This drew a few quizzical glances from the other Ra's, who were mostly now slumping in their seats.

Forza stared at the duel in front of him with disappointment in his eyes. I thought he'd use a powerful card to crush his opponent, not a weak one. Though sangan is a useful card, like witch of the black forest. I just didn't expect something like this to happen. Forza thought as he heard someone call out from the crowd.

 

"Win this Nikki!"

 

What? "Win this, Nikki"? How can she win? She's about to lose. Does she have something up her sleeve? Forza thought as he leaned forward in anticipation. Or is it just a friend giving a morale boost? Either way this duel will be over soon. Hmm, I wonder. Maybe I should have a friendly duel Tim after he's done? Or Nikki, or anyone for that fact. It's been a while since I've just for the sake of dueling so, why not?

Along with the many cheering Slifers, Violet was one of them, and one of the loudest. This match was getting better and better. She grinned at the bummed out Ra's, loving the look on their faces. Serves them right for thinking that we're worth-

 

Suddenly a shout from the Ra's section inturrupted her thoughts. It must've been a close friend of hers because all of the other yellow jackets looked confusedly at the one who shouted. "Man this battle is intense." Trinity heard the girl next to her say. She grinned, "Tell me about it Jazz. I don't even know this Tim guy, but he's good."
