The Skies
I love this book. Hahaha, and I mean it guys, I don't read AT ALL. But I had to read this for an essay and loved it, kids killing eachother for the amusement of a higher authority. I love it, I bought Catching Fire and thought it was even better. Cant wait till the next. Discuss.

Survivor
Amazing books. They have very intricate storylines while providing something for everyone. They provide adventure, murder, mystery, control, Utopian Society, romance, and a reading level easy for little kids. What more could you want? Murder for 3rd Graders. Survivor
Basically, the Nation of Panem is ruled by a Capitol, with 12 surrounding districts that subject to its terror after a war. Every year, each district randomly selects a boy and a girl to send to compete in the Hunger Games, which prove the Capitol's power over the people. The Hunger Games traps all 24 contestants, two from each district, inside an arena to be let loose. The last person standing wins riches and fame for their district, while the others are brutally murdered as the whole nation watches. Inside the arena can be any sort of traps or devices to kill people, but the Capitol uses tricks to get people to kill others, to make more of a show out of it. Survivor
I know! Its developed very well. The author really knows her characters emotions...and excuse me for getting a little like a psychiatrist but, she makes them react accordingly. They do exactly what humans would do it that situation. Maybe she tunes the violence up a little to get more guys to read it, but so what?

The Hunger Games is pretty much Survivor with one hundred times the violence. I'm rereading Catching Fire right now, so I won't forget important details. Survivor
You're probably right. I like things like that, with survival and strategy. Things that involve both brains and physical ability together are really neat. I'm not saying that it's the best book that I have ever read, but it is definatly up there. ◎Kaleidoscope
I especially enjoy books that revolve around competitions (don't ask), and the murder was an added plus, so overall I really loved both books.
