I'd say that some of the Mirrors are indeed overpowered, but they aren't borderline banworthy. Banning a single card would have better reception than limiting 5. Firespawn has splashable potential in other Fiend decks also.

 

Besides, if Konami ban Magician of Faith, a Flip-effect monster that returns ONE Spell Card, then what about a Tuner (that will almost certainly be sent to the Graveyard) that as it's name states, spawns back 2 monsters from your Graveyard into your hand. It is an extremely overpowered card and should at the very least be limited. And to do that you would have to limit many other cards in the Mirror Loop.

 

My suggestions to prevent this problem are:

 

1. Ban Firespawn and nothing else.

2. Make a card that specifically attacks Mirrors.

 

This is a common trick used by Konami to relinquish dominating decks. They did it with TeleDAD and we should do it here.

 

EDIT: Sound Pulse is obviously defending his own set and I can understand why. But it's no fun when a single Deck dominates the metagame entirely. How do you think people felt when they couldn't afford to buy both E-Tele and DAD when TeleDAD was winning world championships? It's annoying for everyone and it should be stopped.

Tbh, if you take a shot against the Supreme, I will be gladly to have a good discussion when we point out reasons why it should be banned or not and if your reasonings out weigh mine, well then I would gladly do it.

 

In my duels vs the Mirrors, which have only been with Supreme, are to see who sets up first. Either me or him. Whoever sets up first usually wins.

 

Also, I think Shaman have a few potential broken cards.

 

I very much agree with the example of TeleDAD. The reason I Semi'd some cards from Limit is because they were uncompetitive with the current speed of the CCG.

 

Firespawn should take a ban, and in the next set, we should explore options on how to counter it, so it could be moved to at least 1.

But in the grand scheme of things, by the end of your little loop, you have 3 synchros and a level 8 beatstick and Firespawn is the root of your loop msking it broken.

 

Also, Supreme decloration is limited, so it can't affect your Mirrors much anyway and Gentleman's duel is easily removeable by Mind Storm, which can then fuel your Firespawn.

I am making a full blown anti meta archetype (and not f*cking up like konami did with Koa'ki Meiru).
