I wanna duel to test my Ritual Spam against another challenger.

 

AND FINALLY RULINGS NEEDED AND PROVIDED BY ME:

Mirror Realm vs. Game Mechanics.

The problem arises here in MR's effect- discard one card to negate it's destruction. This is fine against spell-wiping cards. BUT this effect does NOT counter somebody playing a field spell. For two reasons.

*The first is that NOTHING can change Game Mechanics. The "1 Field Spell at a time" rule is a Mechanic, not a effect, and thus cannot be altered in any way. The already-out MR is not "destroyed" per se, rather "removed" by an outside, unchainable-to force.

*SECOND. As stated in the rulebook/lolycm, 1 field spell at a time, newest field spell stays. Thus, the MR user would have to keep discarding if he wanted to keep MR out. And- eventually- he would empty his hand.

 

Now for the question.

Can I use the Dark Priest card as Redemption Ritual in order to RS Herald of Redemption?
