CCG members, it is my sad duty to inform you that we must cancel the tournament due to lack of participation and a tight schedule among many of our members. I appreciate the commitment many of you have and that we actually got a duel done.. that is a breakthrough.. but hopefully next time more people's time will be freed up, because tournaments take some time I will not lie. But for the meantime we need to get set 4 going.

 

We need to discuss the CCG meta and what we need to make this a balanced game. I will throw some of my Ideas out but I want you all to make suggestions and comments.

 

So so far we have established a "mini meta" through me and Leo dueling, tier 1 is Fish Lockdown/ FIRE burn and tier 1.5 is the Phoenixians and Shaman archetype (if any of you want to know the cards to make these decks you can ask me). Now, because of this in set 4 we can't really afford any more Phoenixian or Shaman Support or they might end up like Blackwings in the TCG and dominate. We need more Interdimensional monster support, all we have now is 4 monsters so specifically some more Spell and Trap support for them is appreciated. We could also have some more Pressure and Antennae support.

 

For some non-archetype things we need some more Ritual and Fusion monsters. Generic Fusion monsters that have requirements like 1 Aqua monster + 1 Pyro monster or similar would be really helpful to the game. TYPES that are undersupported are BEAST, BEAST-WARRIOR, WARRIOR, SPELLCASTER and REPTILE. also fiends have some support but it isn't exactly solid, so just a little would be good. Also, One last thing. We need a name for Set 4. Possibly something that relates to Spellcasters, Warriors or Beasts.

 

Ok, I've talked my share. So I am just going to give you guys an example of what kind of monsters we need. And this is going to be added to the set too.

 

|Hex Majii Serpent|0|XXXX|Reptile/Effect|Dark|7||2500|1700|"Bulb Snake" + "Book of Countercurses". This card can only be Fusion Summoned. When this card is Fusion Summoned, Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower monster from your graveyard. As long as that card remains on the field, neither player can Special Summon.|

 

|Gladiator Kocko|1|XXXX|Warrior/Effect|Earth|7||2600|2700|"Great Fighter Kocko" + "Helmet Fiend Fighter" or "Helmet Fairy Fighter". This card takes on the types of it's Fusion Material Monsters. All monsters you control are treated as this card's types as well as their original ones. Your opponent can only select this card as an attack target. Once per turn, select 1 other monster you control. It can attack twice this turn.|

 

|Swift Shining Albatross|2|XXXX|Winged Beast/Effect|Wind|6||2400|2400|1 WIND monster + 1 LIGHT monster. When this card is Fusion Summoned, you can return any Spell or Trap cards in your Graveyard to your deck and shuffle. Gain 300 Life Points for each one.|

For each one, put a Mud Counter on this card. You can remove a Mud Counter from this card to negate an opponent's monster's attack.|

 

I'm thinking for Spellcasters, we could do something that the old game touched upon, but never did anything with. I'll have a thread up in Written Cards with them. (I haven't a YVD conversion program atm, so if someone wants to convert the new cards, I shall be quite grateful.

I've got some ideas for cards, but i have 1 more question first, what does the number after the name on the yvd codes mean? At first i thought it was the number in the set id, but then i realised that there was 2 with the same set id. So, what is it, and if it is set id, i must be hallucinating.

 

EDIT: Also, i'm not the best at making up names, so if you want it based on warriors, beasts and/or magicians, then my best suggestion is probably Divine sword or divine magic, or something like spellbound claws, i known they are rubbish, but just so you know for future reference, i am not good!

You're right, it is the set ID, but the numbers will be fixed when we compile the whole set together so that none have the same number.

Before we start submitting cards, we should discuss what the CCG needs. A deep discussion guys. This means dueling to test stuff out, if you would like ;D.

 

So, my opinions on things:

 

Fiends: These guys mainly focus on Hell Master Anubis and raeping the opponent with him. With cards like Forbbiden Curse, you would probably be like "hey it can work really good." Well, step aside, because it can 1. waste a normal summon. 2. is a +0 at best (counting normal summon). We need some Special Summoning alternatives for the Fiend-Type so that it can make Hell Master Anubis a lot more usable.

 

Shaman: Tbh, these guys might need a little more support. All we have for them so far is DP01, which gave us a few cards, but really, the can't get anything going after a flop, which makes them very inconsistent. As proven in duels, I find them a deck that can't fill the graveyard up fast enough to produce enough of a threat in the meta. Maybe some graveyard fillers and more Shaman graveyard filler support or search.

 

Phoenixian: Tbh, they are unpopular. Maybe a few cool cards every so often to keep then in use.

 

Interdimensional: These guys will be popular if supported enough. I think they have potential to make a big splash in a meta, making Shamans and such slower and hard to use, like in the meta of the TCG/OCG.

Ok, for those who didn't know, I won against Leo with a Shaman Deck. :O

 

Now this is just my opinion, but I think Shaman decks could use a little more support but only like 1 or 2 cards more. Like Leo said, they don't have much graveyard dumping but they are still pretty powerful (when combined with other support cards)

 

Also, through testing we've decided 4 changes on cards:

 

Gentleman's Duel will change it's rulings and the parenthases will be removed, making it so that High-level monsters won't be able to attack directly under the circumstances.

 

Sudden Death will recieve my original change to it because we found it's OP'd, it will only destroy the attacking monster and it will destroy itself after using it's effect.

 

Fairy Village will recieve counters when Fairy monsters are destroyed, and will not prevent their destruction. We're not entirely sure if this is what Aquamaster wanted but we're changing it to that anyway.

 

Withering Flower of Despair, since Gentleman's duel will be fixed, will no longer be limited.

My opponent PMs me about the duel when I have to go to sleep.

Ill let someone else take my spot because I don't think we will ever be able to duel

 

Also I have effects for Phoenixian cards

 

Level 3

When this card is summoned by paying 800 Life Points, you can Tribute this card to Tribute summon a Level 5 or lower monster from your hand. By removing from play this card in your graveyard, inflict 500 damage to your opponent.

ATK : 1100 DEF : 1200

 

Level 1

When a Level 5 monster is Tribute summoned by sending the top 3 cards from your deck to the Graveyard you can Special Summon this card from your Hand. By paying Life Point in multiples of 500 you can increase this cards Level for each 500 Life Points paid.

ATK : 0 DEF : 0

 

Level 7

You can Tribute summon this card by Tributing 1 Phoenixian monster. Once per turn you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower Phoenixian monster from your Graveyard. If this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, send the top card from your deck to your Graveyard.

 

Spell

Remove from play 1 face up Phoenixian monster to activate this cards effect. For each Phoenixian monster in your Graveyard, inflict 300 damage to your opponent.

 

Quick Play Spell

Special Summon 1 level 2 or lower FIRE monster from your Graveyard. If it gets sent to the graveyard other than destroyed by battle, inflict 400 damage to your opponent. During the End Phase of a turn that you activate this card, your opponent draws 1 card.

 

Would you mind if seattleite made the cards in written or else Leo.

And you guise can make up the rest of the cards

The monsters would be FIRE and PLANT
