I skimmed the .set this morning and something caught my eye.

 

There's a card called Escroc le Gantelet, if I'm not mistaken, that can Special Summon 3 copies of itself (since the effect doesn't say otherwise) from the Deck with no cost if 2 or more Escrocs are in the Graveyard. I'm not in the same PC currently so I can't double check, but isn't that... ridiculously broken? From a theoretical point of view, at least.

Escrocs are intended to be a fast OTK archetype that rely on Diamant (self-summoning Tuner) and Peintre/Remplacement (both searchable by Diamant and Peintre can summon itself if searched, though this is more of a hindrance as it is weak to Lockdown decks). Peintre is Limited on the current banlist, this prevents Escrocs from being to pull off any consistent OTK without the luck of drawing returners like Refueling.

 

I barely remember making Gantelet as it was one card in a large set, but the summoning was only intended so it could use it's specific-ATK booster and make the OTK produce enough damage. It's really only used as filler in Escroc decks, but now you mention it it is also usable in a Synchro Turbo deck.

 

Nerf it to hell and back if you want, Escrocs don't need it for much more than filler.

 

EDIT: JD can summon itself from anywhere if there are 4 or more Lightsworns in the Graveyard, it can nuke the field for minimal cost and it has 3000 ATK. Not only can it be summoned from ANYWHERE, but Lightsworns also mill like crazy so getting 2 out is easy-peasy. It's only Semi-Limited. Gantelet is no way near as bad for the game but I don't care what you do to Gantelet at all. It's mere filler.

First off No you can't simply because we have nothing of the sort in CCG *there go's that argument.

True and False seeing as a Lv 5 + a Lv 3 tuner= Lv 8 synchro.

Right thats why I said that I would FIX THEM IN THE NEXT PACK ALL OF THEM.

1. The argument still remains - if you released a card like JD in the CCG is would have a very similar impact.

2. You didn't respond to the point about Escrocs.

We can all agree that Escrocs are broken. And I'd say Diamant isn't the only one (Although the fix um...fixed him). And a card like JD makes an impact anywhere. It's like in real life, if you were yo give one group of people the power to kill at will; it has an impact. And you did overreact a bit, WereLord...oh, and I'm not even sure why you two are fighting.

1 Splashable Boss Monster (I'll have to brainstorm ideas for this one with you lot)
