The Lord of the Underground Tournament [Final bumping]

[align=center]Greetings, and welcome to my second contest. This should be one unlike most of the others. One that will surely (and hopefully) keep you all interested in becoming the Lord of the Underground. (Yay for worthless titles!)

The layout is simple. This will be a bracket style tournament with a minimum of 8 entries. The rounds will play out with one member competing against the other with the hopes of ascending the bracket and on to the next. Now, on to the actual specifics.

[spoiler=Rules]

1. First and foremost, respect your opponent. Flames, hostility, ect ect will result in either disqualification or score deduction.

2. All standard YCM rules apply as always. Make sure you look them over if needed.

3. Obey rules 1 and 2, and we wont need to worry about a rule 3.

[spoiler=Entry]

The entry cost is relative to your member level.

1-5 points

2-10 points

3-20 points

4-25 points

5-35 points

6-45 points

[spoiler=Start and end dates]

The contest will begin 3 days after a minimum of 8 people have joined. The three day extension is for any others that may become interested in joining the contest and will be added to the bracket. The end date will be a little more difficult to pin down as these more or less "long term" contests are hardly predictable.

[spoiler=Bracket set-up]

It works in a simple enough process. Members compete, one on one. The winner advances, the defeated are eliminated. Should an odd number of rounds occur, the person with the highest average score of the previous round will get a free pass on to the next bracket, where the person who scores highest among the eliminated for the round will get a chance for redemption by going against them in the next round.

[spoiler=Card posting]

Bluntly put, in this contest, the sooner you post your card, the better. It is not a typical "Make a blah blah card supporting this and this archetype". Once each round begins, each member will have a MAXIMUM of 3 days to post their card. Unless a member sends me a PM with a reasoning as to why they can/did not post their card, and I see it fair to give them an extension, they will be disqualified. Note, this is for the sake of keeping a good rhythm with the contest. A slow contest is a forgotten contest.

[spoiler=Prizes]

Yes yes, the only thing you guys really care about. This is a climb to the top, where the best is the one to walk away with the spoils of being the Lord of the Underground, meaning, yeah, they get ALL SIX of the maximum reps. Now here is the twist on this. Before each round, you and your opponent may wager reps prior to your posting of your cards. Once either card is posted, the wager can NOT be changed or made. NOTE, if you lose the wager, you WILL be nega rep'd. This is a "do it at your own risk". The maximum a wager can be is 3. This, does not technically count as the prize for the tournament winner as you will be the one giving out the reps, either pos or neg, for the wager made. Keep in mind, this IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL.

[spoiler=Judging]

The judging of each card will vary from round to round. For the sake of keeping things in a smooth rhythm, I'll be doing the judging myself. The results for each round should be out with the day of the final entry's posting.

And there you have it people. I shall post the bracket here once we get the members together. I hope you will all enjoy this contest. I have high hopes for it and think it will be a good twist on the basic ones. If there are any questions, feel free to PM me. Thank you all, and I look forward to your participation.
