((F**k it. We're starting.))

Milemarker 10, Hyperexpressway I Westbound

Underneath Rodriguez River, Landing, First (AC-P-II)

5:86 Landing Time Zone, First Time

May 3rd, 2360 (Standardized Calendar)

Latea was tired. Even for an android.

She was normally the kind of person, or replica of a person, who had to "wake up" at 4:50, worked hard from 6 in the morning to 11 in the afternoon, and got home at 12:50 in the evening. It didn't help that her clock was set for Standardized Time, meaning that she always had to convert from the 24-hour, 60 minute schedule in her head to the 15-1/2-hour, 100 minute schedule of her employer.

And having the First Second be slightly longer than the Standardized Second just made things worse.

My energy stores are below 25%, I've been neglecting to recharge them because I've been busy at work and hadn't had the time to duel, and Dr. Malion has me staying up late working on his latest project! Latea thought to herself as she rode the bus from her house in Pine Bluff, the main part of the city of Landing that was on a rocky peninsula where the Rodriguez and Sato Rivers met, to Tarleton, named after the first Mayor of Landing, 12 miles away. Seriously, whatever deity or deities out there, bring it! I dare you! What can possibly go wrong today?!?

"HELP!!! I'M BEING ATTACKED BY DUEL DRONES!!!"

A person in a dirty, raggity cloak with a very beat-up Duel Runner was being pursued by three Duel Drones, and from what Latea could see, they were winning.

"I just had to ask." Latea thought to herself as she pulled the nearest emergency stop handle on the automated bus. As it slowed down, she moved to the front of the bus, turning off the emergency stop, and squeezed out just before the bus closed its doors and started up again. She ran alongside the speeding vehicle, gaining speed herself, until she reached 60 MPH.

And here we go. She thought to herself as she transformed as she had done countless times in the past. Her arms gained red armor plating as her Duel Systems readied themselves, and her Deck popped out of its slot on the armor of her left arm, ready to duel. Her legs also changed, becoming mechanical and skate-like. Small inertial thrusters on the backs of her lower legs fired up, propelling her even faster to gain on the speeding group. Once she got close enough, her HUD activated, showing her the Duel, what had happened so far, and the classic "Battle Royale" indicator. The victim wasn't doing so well, with a really bad Flamvell deck that was being destroyed by the Duel Drones' beatdown decks.

"Hey boys!" Latea cried out. "Remember me?"

The Duel Drones turned to duel Latea. "New target acquired. Readying Duel Systems."

Like good little Duel Drones, they abadoned their current quarry and circled around the android like sharks, ready to kill their opponent.

Duel Drone 1: 4000 LP

Duel Drone 2: 4000 LP

Duel Drone 3: 4000 LP

Latea: 4000 LP

((Who wants to be the Duel Drones?))

((And the person on the Duel Runner will be revealed in good time.))

you relise that final fan is a dude

My mistake. Sh- I mean he's in a roleplay where her character is a girl. Carly carmine, actually. So you can imagine how I could make that mistake.

!~!~!~!~!

The roleplay started!

!~!~!~!~!

Galihad was annoyed.

The day had started with him getting into an argument with a duelist from Regires. Heaven knows how he managed to get onto zephyrus without being arrested, but he had had to handle him and his slaves, which took several hours. Of course, than the duel drones tried to arrest him. Even though he had a license. That was annoying. But in the end, the Regiree got sent to prison, and Galihad came out relatively unscathed.

Galihad had come to a conclusion.

He was moving.

((I do that often. Very often. I jusr prefer playing as a girl, and from your reaction, I apparently do it very well.))

((And please edit your post. We've started.))

"Doooctoooor!!!"

"What is it, Elrod?!? I'm busy!!"

"Latea's dueling again!!!"

"WHAT?!?!?"

The venerable Doctor Malion, dressed in his usual attire of a Hawaiian shirt, shorts, and shades, looked up from his current "project", a female android with chocolate har and a slight tan, to see Elrod holding a holographic 2D screen showing a live news feed, in which it declares "Dragon Duelist Hits The Streets Again! Famous Local Vigilante Duelist Returns To Defend The Weak."

"Elrod, get the Duelhog! We're heading uptown!"

"Yessir!"

"attack My magicians!" Zolo yelled. as three magicians shot magical blasts at his opponet sending his life points to zero."thats game my friend." he said as he walked away.

This had been zolo's 10th duel in a row today and his 10th win and yet he was still bored. He was on the planet nassira on a island called electronis a place that was common for duelists to be training. allthough ever seince the duel lincense law went up good duelists were harder to come by.

zolo sighed as he sat back agianst the base of a large tree who's excotic purple and blue flowers filled the air with a soothing smell.

"man i think im going to die of boredom soon if i dont get a good duel soon. this stupid duel lincense has put everyone who was good out of game so now i have nothing to do." he sighed to himself. "oh well at least i can enjoy the sweet smell of these flowers for now."

Zero sees the robot girl Dueling three Duel Drones but before he interfere he realizes that she doesn't need any help so he just watch seeing if any changes have been made to the generic Duel Drone Deck and if they have how. "I can't see someone like that loosing to a couple piles of scrap but the question is hows she going to take care of them once the duel is over, Duel Drones are notoriously bad losers."

(Sorry I changed it to 3rd person and I'll try to remember to do that from now on. :) :) :) :) )

((Trimage, strike one for RPing first person))

"Commencing Turn." The first Duel Drone said, its voice clunky and mechanical, "Scrap Goblin in Attack Mode. Turn Concluded."

"Turn Protocol initiated." The second one said, its voice sounding like a few pieces of his jaw were rusted into place "Junk Armor in Defense Mode. Turn Protocol finished."

The third Duel Drone let out a few mechanical clicks, placed two cards in its Spell and Trap Zone, and let out a few more mechanical clicks.

"Apocalypse Tyranno attack! And you won't be using any Traps cuz Gigarontees's effect negates their activation." Recteik was at his wits end. This was his third Duel Drone today. His lovly little home town of South Haven was overrun by the C.A.D.'s blasted drones."That does not compute! Card not found on Regestry List!",The Drones still hadn't realized that most of his deck wasn't on their list. Apocalype Tyranno lunged foreward chrushing the Drones Summon Reactor. 5500-2000=3500. As the monster vanished in a flurry of pixles Recteik said,"And now Gigarontees will attack directly." 2400 "Error! Error! Eeeeerrrrrrrrrrooor!" Recteik turned and walked away,"Game over!" Suddenly the Drone exploded. I guess I should deal with the rest of um, he thought to himself. Noone in South Haven had a Dueling Permit so the town seemed almost abandoned. Recteik wanderd off searching for another Drone.

((We have a strike system? Sweet!))

"My turn! Draw!" Latea declared. "I play Dragunion Battle Rites!"

Dragunion Battle Rites

Spell/Continuous

During your Main Phase, if your opponent controls at least 1 face-up monster and you don't, you may send 1 Dragon-Type monster in your Deck to your Graveyard, then you may Special Summon 1 LV 4 or lower Winged-Beast-Type monster from your hand.

"I send Dragunity Naginata to the Graveyard to Special Summon Dragunity Dux from my hand!"

A white-clad winged warrior swopped down onto the field. (1500 ATK)

"Next I will activate my Dux's effect and equip my Naginata to him!"

A draconic-looking sword appeared, and Dux grabbed it. (1500 ATK -> 2300 ATK)

"Next I will Normal Summon Dragunity Attendant in Defense Mode."

A young-looking winged woman in overalls and an apron appeared, and raised up a shield she had on her back. (1900 DEF) (2300 ATK -> 2500 ATK)

"Now Dux will attack Scrap Goblin! Commander's Slash!"

The holographic display shifted to show three screens, each one showing a girl on a Duel Runner, only from different angles.

"The Dragon Duelist again?" Cesar looked at his Duel Runner's display while sppeding along a highway. "I asume that the Duel Drones won't be able to handle her themselves!"

The Duel Runner's engine let out a roar, and the jet motors at the rear blasted out a beam of energy as the Duel Runner sped up, racing towards the Dragon Duelist's location.

"This time I will duel you, stupid girl. And I will win!"

((We really only get 4000 life points?))

Recteik hadn't gon ten feet when another Duel Drone sprang out of an alley. "Dueling Device detected present permit! You have ten seconds to comply!" He sighed. "Time elapsed! Entering Duel Mode! LP:4000 Draw, I Summon Winged Rhynos in attack position." ATK:1800 "Next I set a card facedown and activate Card Trader. Your turn."

Recteik was suprised every drone he'd dueled has use the Reactor monsters. Thats when he noticed the gold sheild on its chest. This was an Elite Drone programed to be a fantastic Duelist. "This should be fun, Draw!" LP:4000 He scanned his hand,"I discard a card from my hand to Special Summon Thick Steel Saurus in defence." DEF:2400 "Then I'll set two cards and end."

"Error, card not found on Regestry List. Analysing, Threat Level 6.47%. My turn Draw! I tribute my Winged Rhynos to summon Cyber Tech Alligator." ATK:2500 "Attack Thick Steel Saurus!" "Not so fast I trigger my trap, Denide, Your attack is negated and you lose Life Points equal to half of your monsters." 4000-1250=2750 "I end."

As Cesar was riding over to interfere with the girls duel another Duel Runner came from behind and began riding along side him then bumping him on the side. "Sorry, but if you want to interfere with her duel you'll have to go through me first." Zero checks out the opponents Duel Runner having felt that he had seen the design somewhere before but not being able to remember where he had seen it.

(Do we use Speed World 1 or 2 or do we use a made up 3???)

As Will Talutah stepped onto the spaceship, his first thought was this- Its too clean.

And it was. The corridor into which Will has passed was mechanically spotless, and Will, along with many others on the transport ship from Kaikias out into the rest of the star system, felt very out of place. Having grown up in a dirty, contained city made you get used to dirt, and this pristine ship felt almost alien to Will. Oh well, Will thought. He would have to get used to unnaturally clean ships, for Will never stayed in places for long and would probably want to leave whatever planet he was going to before long. As Will walked through the spaceship, he heard a sudden hiss and a sudden thrum, and Will knew the ship was preparing to leave Caecius. Will had no regrets about leaving the domed city. Ever since his parents had died, Will had found less and less reason to remain on Kaikias.

Will looked up from his musings and found he was in some strange corridor of the ship. Weird. How'd he get here? Will shrugged and then shambled over to a vidscreen, a advanced sort of television, which was set in the wall. As long as he was here...Will turned on the vidscreen and a variety of new headlines suddenly appeared on the screen, ready for Will to touch it and tell its story. Hmm, Will thought as he saw one particularly eye-catching headline, Dragon Duelist Hits The Streets Again! Famous Local Vigilante Duelist Returns To Defend The Weak...I wonder what that's all about...

((None. We don't use Speed World, even if we have Duel Runners. Why? Is there any reason you want to have to worry about Speed Counters and Speed Spells?))

"Faster, Elrod! We need to catch up to Latea!"

"I'm going as fast as I can, Doctor, but this is rush hour we're talking about!"

Elrod was driving a olive-green Jeep-looking vehicle with two tusk-like towhooks on the front and a slender, yet military, body. Malion was in the back, mounted on some sort of turret with a Duel Disk.

"Well, activate the Duel Booster so we can get ready to help our creation!" Malion yelled at Elrod as he avoided a road-train.

"Yes, sir!" Elrod pressed a button, and a panel opened up on the right side of the bed of the Duelhog. A football-sized egg-shaped device popped out, which genereated impulse thrusters and glided into place in front of the Duelhog.

Elrod: 4000 LP

Malion: 4000 LP

Booster: N/A

"My turn!" Malion manically declared. "He he he! Yes! I did it! I discard Quillbolt Hedgehog to Special Summon Quickdraw Synchron in Attack Mode!"

A cute-looking cowboy robot appeared on Malion's field, and started flying alongside the Duelhog. (700 ATK)

"Now I will Normal Summon Kids Junk in Attack Mode!"

A robot boy with roller skates rushed in next to Quickdraw, motioning for the driver of the nearby road-train to honk his horn, which he did. (300 ATK)

"Now I will Tune my Quickdraw Synchron with my Kids Junk!"

Quickdraw whipped out a pistol, and fired it, turning into 5 rings, which Kids Junk skated into, creating a single star. The array fired.

"Synchro Summon! Junk Gardna!"

A huge green-colored armored warrior ran alongside the Duelhog. (2600 DEF)

"I'll end my setting a fac-down card!"

Malion: 4000 LP

Hand: 2

Monsters: Junk Gardna (2600 DEF)

Spells/Traps: 1 FD

Graveyard: Quickdraw, Kids Junk, Quillbolt

"Pass. Next turn." The little flying probe responded.

"Draw!" Elrod cried out as he avoided a convertible. "I Normal Summon Gemresis in Attack Mode!"

An armadillo-shaped creature rolled onto Elrod's field the opposite side of the Duelhog from Malion's, and boosted into the air, where two rockets kept it there. (1700 ATK)

"Now I play Double Summon, allowing me to play Gemknight Alexand from my hand!"

A silver-armored knight erupted from the earth and ran alongside Gemresis. (1800 ATK)

"I activate Heart of the Underdog and end my turn!"

Elrod: 4000 LP

Hand: 3

Monsters: Gemresis (1700 ATK), Alexand (1800 ATK)

Spells/Traps: Heart of the Underdog

Graveyard: Double Summon

"Halt the Booster! We're almost there!" Malion declared dramatically as he pointed to Latea and the three Duel Drones. The Battle Royale symbol popped up on their displays, showing that they were now part of the duel with Latea. Elrod pressed a button, and the Duel Booster returned to its hidden slot.

((Duel Drones' turn.))

"Interesting!!" Will exclaimed as he saw the headline. This called for a more direct look...darting his head left to right to make sure no one else was nearby, Will pulled out a silvery, PDA-like machine out of his pocket. Will had it left over from his street-dueling days. It was called a Virtual Imaging Unit, or a V.I.U. for short. What it did was it hacked into a satellite in the area and used it to broadcast an image from somewhere in the galaxy right unto the V.I.U. It was very useful and very illegal. But Will pretty much lived for this type of risk. Touching the front of the V.I.U., he activated it and sent it searching for a satellite to broadcast a image from First. Since satellite's were so plentiful nowadays, it didn't take long for the device to pick one up, and Will found himself looking at a virtual image of the planet First. "Good..." Will murmured, and pressed on the image again. It zoomed in, right in to the city of Landing. That was were the duel was taking place. He zoomed over the city until some flashes of color caught his eye, and zooming in once again, he found himself looking at Latea and the Duel Drones. As Will was completely hooked on the V.I.U., he didn't notice the Duel Drone until it began to shout.

"Unauthorized entrance into Corridor 13-L125!" The Duel Drone began saying in a voice that reminded Will of a siren. "Please return to the passenger's designated-" It suddenly stopped. Will followed its eyes down and saw it was looking at the V.I.U., which was clutched in Will's hand.

"Use of a Virtual Imaging Unit is forbidden by Galactic Law AB13.84! Come quietly with me or Duel!" The Drone shouted. "Natural 10 seconds time permit elapsed! Prepare to Duel!" It threw out its arm, which had a Duel Disk on it. Will, who had remained quiet up until this point, grinned and said, "Bring it on.", throwing forth his own Duel Disk.

Will: 4000 LP

Duel Drone: 4000 LP

"I'll start this off right," Will said, still grinning. "First, I activate Dimensional Fissure! Next, I summon Card Trooper (400/400) to the field, in face-up Defense Mode. I now activate Card Trooper's effect, sending the top three cards of my deck to the Graveyard, which are, by Dimensional Fissure's effect, then are removed from play. I end by playing one card face-down. Your turn."

Will

Hand: 3

Monsters: Card Trooper

Spells/Traps: Dimensional Fissure, 1 F-D

Graveyard: Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer, D.D. Scout Plane, Big Burn

LP: 4000

"Goddammit, Keith! What the hell is that racket?!?" An angry female voice yelled from behind a door that was near Will. A woman with reddish-brown hair, blue eyes, a simple green uniform, and a figure that looked to be in the mid-30s stormed out of the door to see the Duel. "A DUEL DRONE?!? ON MY SHIP?!? HELL NO!!!" She pressed a button and her watch became a Duel Disk, ready to help Will. "I'm your captain, by the way." The woman introduced herself to Will, shaking his hand in the traditional mariner's greeting that had its origins on Terra itself. "Izumi Bechakova, though most call me 'Izzy' for short."

Will: 4000 LP

Duel Drone: 4000 LP

Izzy: 4000 LP

The third Duel Drone let out a series of mechanical clicks and Scrap Chimera appeared in place of Scrap Goblin.

A translation box appeared in holographic form in front of Latea detailing Damage Condenser's effect.

"Commencing Turn." The first Duel Drone said, its voice clunky and mechanical, "Scrap Beast in Attack Mode. Turn Concluded."

"Turn Protocol initiated." The second one said, its voice sounding like a few pieces of his jaw were rusted into place "Junk Synchron in Defense Mode. Turn Protocol finished."

The third Duel Drone let out a few more mechanical clicks, placed two more cards in its Spell and Trap Zone, and let out even more mechanical clicks.

((Dresden, what happened in between my attack and your turns?))

Thousands in the Landing City limits alone were watching the live news feed proclaiming Latea's return after a year of being absent from dueling, but someone else was interested in the affairs.

"Thank you for the Chardonay." A suave voice replied as a man with slicked-back dark hair and glasses nodded to an attendant who handed him a goblet of wine. The man sitting in the chair sipped the wine, but as he did so, two portions of his hair suck up like the pigtails of a little girl.

"Ewww! What IS this icky stuff?!?" The man, now acting like a 10-year-old, even with a high-pitched girly voice, whined as he spit out the wine. "Bring me a glass of milk!"

The attendant swiftly brought in a glass of milk, but as the man sipped the milk, his hair changed again becoming spiky and wild.

"Bleaugh!" The man gagged on the milk. "MILK?!? Bring me some whiskey, knave!"

The attendant brought a shot glass and a bottle of local whiskey, but the man grabbed the bottle and started to down it whole, until his hair slicked itself back to its original form. The man stopped chugging the bottle's contents, and calmly placed the bottle back on the attendant's waiting tray.

"Keiko and A.J. stopped by again, didn't they?"

"Yes, Master Janus." The attendant replied calmly.

The normally calm Janus started to twitch, until he pounded his fists on the arms of the chair. "SH*T!!!" He yelled angrily into the darkness of the room until he calmed down. "Get an ansible connection to HQ for me. I need to inform a certain member of our organization of Latea's return."

"Right away, sir." The attendant responded.

Janus stared at the screen for a few seconds until the pigtails returned. "Oh, Latea nii-chan, I can't wait to play with you again!" Keiko cutely replied to the video feed until the spikes came up again. "Yeah! And I'll f**k you right up, you little b***h!" A.J. continued, licking his lips in anticipation for the precious seconds he was in control. Janus, now back to being himself, slicked back his hair, and smiled menacingly at Latea. "For once, I have to agree with my other selves. This will be a much more interesting rematch."

((And enter one of our main villains.))

"My turn!" Latea declared. "And I play Dragunity Legacy!"

Dragunity Legacy

Spell/Quickplay

Send 1 LV 7 or higher Dragon-Type monster to the Graveyard from your Deck. Add 2 LV4 or lower "Dragunity" monsters to your hand.

A huge shadow rushed through the tunnels, leaving behind two cards, which Latea snagged out of the air.

"Now I Normal Summon Dragunity Pilum, which I can use to Special Summon Dragunity Tribus from my hand and equip Pilum onto Tribus!"

A green dragon flapped down onto a slot on Latea's field, then it transformed into a green spear, which a ninja-looking winged man picked up. (500 ATK)

"Next I will send Dragunity Brandistock to my Graveyard due to Tribus' effect, then I will remove Tribus and Pilum from play to Special Summon Dragunity Arms Laevatein!"

A rush of wind disintegrated Tribus as a huge orange dragon appeared from the gale. (2600 ATK)

"Now, I'll equip my Laevatein with the Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon in my Graveyard!"

Laevatein placed his hand out, and a huge black metal sword appeared.

"Now, I'll activate the Trap Stun I set earlier, and attack Scrap Beast with Dux, finishing you off, and attack the one that hasn't talked with Laevatein!"

Breaking news! A female 'Android' known as the 'Dragon Duelist', 'Protector of the weak', and 'Unlicensed vigilante' has reappeared on first, saving two duelists from two duel drones! It was two duelists, right? and two duel drones? Moving on, The 'Dragon Duelist' is reported to have actually won against two duel drones! Is that amazin.....

At which point Galihad turned the radio off. ~Dragon Duelist? What a melodramatic name. But it must be relatively important to reach zephyrus all the way from first... But on the other hand, CAD might just be inventing her to make their duel drones look stronger. Though, if so, they were doing it in a very odd way... That's it. I'm moving. Probably to first. All the action seems to be there.~
