"That Pokemon over there? No.... I'll save the flying types for later...."

Ralis was pacing up and down the small grassy outskirts of the Peach Town for wild Pokemon. Along side him was a small grayish creature with white highlights on its tail, feet and face which resembled a badger's except for a large snout with five long whiskers protruding from it. The small creature began scratching the ground with its small paws, through it couldn't dig very far, the Badgex seemed to enjoy it so Ralis let him be.

"Seems that there aren't many strong guys here Badgy" Ralis said softly as he observed the entry to the Peach Bridge, while he wanted to get stronger Pokemon to battle with, Ralis knew that Badgex was not ready for a real fight, so he began heading back into the town, picking up his small companion and walking through the town, stopping only to check the area for stray Pokemon.

Then he remembered the date and slowly but surely gave out a smile. "Hey Badgy, did you know that today is the day that those folk in Ochre Village get their Pokemon? I was originally gonna travel there you know, but then I found you eh?" Ralis said, stroking the small mole-like Pokemon.

Nyoko wandered deeper into the town, taking in the sights of a new land as Maro, her Jigglypuff, walked ahead, apparently having a destination in mind. Maro walked much faster that Nyoko did and he would stop occasionally and look back to make sure Nyoko didn't wander off somewhere. Nyoko eventually got caught up looking at a food stall, which was selling octopus balls. The vendor asked Nyoko if she wanted some, but she did not respond and simply kept on staring at the food in a trancelike state. This went on for a good minute or so, unnerving the poor vendor, who had no idea what was wrong with this lady.

"Sizzle...Drip..." Nyoko silently murmured to herself as she watched the fried pastry cook in the spherical molds. She eventually raised her head to face the vendor.

"I'll take one order please," Nyoko said to the vendor, who assembled four balls on two sticks with apparent haste to get rid of the unnerving staring. He dressed them as quickly as he could and took the money from Nyoko.

Wondering what was taking so long, Maro turned around to see Nyoko holding food. He quickly scrambled over to Nyoko, giving his cutest look, hoping he will get some.

"Don't worry Maro-chan, I was going to give you one anyways," Nyoko said as she handed a stick down to Maro, who quickly ate with a smile.

Then, a gust of wind swept across from the port, forcing Nyoko to hold onto her hat with her free hand. It was to no avail and her hat went flying with the wind in a mad dash for freedom.

"Ahh! My hat!" Nyoko exclaimed as she ran as fast as she could after her hat, which was about the speed of a normal person's jog. Maro also noticed the flying hat and chased after it with a much faster speed. They chased the hat down the main road until they reached Peach Bridge, when Maro finally closed in on the hat. As he jumped to catch it, he crashed into another Pokemon, still managing to land upright with his stick of octopus balls still in perfect condition. Nyoko finally caught up with her Jigglypuff and retrieved her hat, only then realizing that in the chase, someone's Pokemon had got pushed aside. The Pokemon was one she had never seen before. It had a furry body with black and white stripes and a face dominated with five large whiskers. It was accompanied by a very tall boy with black hair.

"Oh...Sorry 'bout that! My hat tends to get away from me sometimes."

"Ready Duskull?" Robert exclaimed excitedly, adoring his image in the reflection of a nearby fountain. A crimson colored Duskull rested at the feet of Robert, timid looking and watching around with caution, although the area in particular wasn't very dangerous. The duo were near the Peach Bridge, preparing to start their journies through Orlana, together. However, so far there had been a slight problem. Duskull never took well to new surroundings, and he had been complaining since they left.

"Duuuuskull..." the Duskull croaked.

Robert turned around with a look of concern on his face; then stooped down and fixed the large, black bowtie that rested at the ghost's neck. "Oh, I'm sorry Duskull. We won't be here much longer, alright? I just needed a few things so we'd be prepared, you know?"

Although Duskull was still weary, he felt slightly better: He took to Robert quickly and his comforting words had eased the tension within his mind.

OoC: Duskull is shiny.

Jason rised from the chair that he was sitting on, but he did it a bit too fast and the chair fell over. He didn't care, though.

"I will find your daughter, lady!" He said with a smile on his face.

Jason got a bit lost in the room and looked at the beautiful decorations and portraits. He then shoke his head and looked at the woman again.

"And I bet Josh will be with me, won't you, Josh?" He looked at Josh, still with the smile on his lips.

"Excuse me, sir," a confused Jayden pulled a man over, a map in his hands. "Do you know where this is?" The man tried not to look at him like he was a complete moron.

"You're in Peach Village, kid." A look of disappointment flashed across the boy's face before being replaced by a grin.

"Thanks!" he waved to the man before hurriedly power-walking away, folding the map up and placing it into his backpack.

"Wierd kid..." the man muttered to himself as he watched the young man disappear into a crowd of people.

"How the crap did I end up in Peach Village?!" Jayden thought in disbelief. He was actually aiming for Cream Town, but somehow he had managed to go all the way around it from Siennaville to Peach Village without passing through. Sighing in frustration, he stopped and pulled out a pokeball. "Come on out, Cygmini" In a small flash of red light, a bird-like pokemon was revealed. Picking the pokemon up and placing it on top of his hat, he continued to walk.

Josh was hesitant to go out into the woods without a Pokemon. He'd always been told that would be suicide, per se. He thought for a moment, and nodded, although he was scared. "Yeah, I'll go find your daughter, Mrs. Sycamore." He got up, and picked up Jason's seat, siting it up right. "I'm sure she's alright, after all. She has to have some Pokemon with her whether or not it is evident if she did." He offered a soft smile, and looked towars the door, before turning back to the elderly woman. "Thank you for your hospitality, ma'am. Shall we go now?" He ended asking his fellow teenagers.

Nathaniel opened his eyes as he heard a voice beside him. He turned his head and straightened up, looking at the boy who had just introduced himself as Daisuke. "Hm? Yeah, I'm a trainer, I just arrived here from the Sinnoh region yesterday - I was heading to Peach Town, but I've been on my feet since last night...which is why I'm sitting here." He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "Oh! And this..." he added, retrieving a pokéball from his pocket, "is my Gible!" In a flash of light, the small shark-like pokémon was standing at his trainer's feet, staring at the Munchlax sitting down next to Daisuke. "Nathaniel, by the way, Nathaniel Sharpe." He said, as he offered a handshake to Daisuke. "I take it you're from round here?"

Daisuke shook Nathaniel's hand as he admired his Pokémon as it played with Munchlax. "Nice to meet you, I'm Daisuke. Daisuke Atamagaii. I live in Peach Town, actually. I'm going to head on over to Creamy Hollow to do some research with Munchlax." Munchlax looked over at Daisuke at hearing his name, then walked over to him, and climbed up him until he sat on Daisuke's head. "Hehe, I think Munchlax wants to go." Man, he's heavy. Daisuke waved goodbye to Nathaniel and Gible. "I hope you get to Peach Town safely."

After Josh picked up Jason's seat, Lisa stood up as well, and stretched a bit while Josh continued to speak. Lisa was a little disappointed that Josh was somehow hoping the Professor still had some Pokemon on her, as if they really *didn't* need to go find her. On the other hand, he took the initiative and was ready to go. As for Jason, he seemed like he would make a good rival for her already; she just needed to see how he'd fare with a Pokemon in his hands.

"Alright, lets." Lisa replied to Josh, walking out the door with the two boys. I feel like a coach or something... At least these two will get their Pokemon soon, she thought to herself as she headed out. A few feet outside, she stopped, suddenly calling out "Wait!" to the others. Turning around, she grabbed the metal rod that lay in the grass near the wall next to the doorway. It was propped up there when she arrived, but it must've slid down at some time. "Can't forget this! Now I'm ready." she said, smiling, as she walked ahead of the group to guide them through the forest, using the rod to help navigate the forest.

[spoiler=GM Post: Ochre Woods]

A sudden hush seemed to fall over the three companions as they broke past the outskirts of Ochre Village, leaving the wooden buildings behind as their feet moved rhythmically against the dirt path that ran straight as an arrow towards the Ochre Woods—however, all three of them knew well enough that once inside, the path would begin to twist sinuously, like a serpent slithering through the grass. Although the path was old and faded, it was true; all they had to do was make sure they didn't wander off it, and they would be sure to reach the other side of the undergrowth with little to not difficult. Unfortunately, the trio was on a mission to find and rescue Professor Sycamore, who could be stranded anywhere in the length of the woods; it was more than likely that they would be forced to abandon the path and explore its depths if they were to find her.

The warm sunlight shining upon them began to dim slightly as they passed under the graceful and elegant boughs of the first few trees that marked the border of the Ochre Woods; from above, the world seemed to be lit with a faint emerald light as the sun caught the leaves. Instead of the rhythmic pounding from before, snaps and rustles could be heard as the three companions moved deeper into the forest, twigs, stones, and leaves crackling under them as they went. The silence seemed much more prolonged now, as if the forest was holding its breath with expectation.

Lisa came to a halt in front of the boys, her sharp eyes flashing from side to side as she scanned the undergrowth for signs of Professor Sycamore. Bending over slightly, she caught sight of a small booted print, almost light enough that she had missed it. Looking up towards where it pointed, she could make out several other small signs that indicated that the Professor had passed by earlier—a broken twig, bent leaves, and hedges that were sprawled slightly to one side in an ungainly manner, suggesting that someone had pushed through them in a hurry recently.

Nodding to Josh and Jason, Lisa moved off the path, fixing its position in her mind as she went, leading them further into the Ochre Woods. They proceeded in this manner for ten minutes or so, with the tracks growing more noticeable as whoever had made them disturbed more and more plant life in the wake of their fast pace. Suddenly, the booted tracks came to an abrupt halt upon the loamy forest soil, only to be replaced with a vicious-looking pair of claw marks whose fury had torn gouges into the ground. Whatever had happened, it was clear that something had intercepted the Professor on her frantic walk through the woods—but had she managed to survive?

Before either Lisa or the boys could kneel down and try to examine the site for further clues, an animalistic roar split the calm silence around them not too far ahead, sending droves of Dovely and Pheasfy soaring from the trees into the sky with alarm.

"Oh no problem, used to happen to my hat all the time."

Ralis stared at the young woman, for a second or two and then noticed that his Pokemon had been knocked aside. Quickly he picked up the small little mole pokemon who began sniffing his body before resting in his arms.

"Anyways, haven't seen people dressed like you 'round here....... You from Azure City or something?"

Then he turned his eyes to the large pink puffball and said "Why you must be trainer, though I've never seen a Pokemon like that before, doesn't look harmful at all though, how can this little guy fight?".

The small mole Pokemon then opened its eyes for a moment to view the Pink Pokemon and let out a small growl. "Now now, easy there Badgy, no need to get all worked up."

"Nah, I'm not from Azure City. I'm from Goldenrod City in Johto. This is my first time in Orlana," Nyomo replied as Maro slowly walked back to Nyoko, eating it's octopus balls with a self satisfied look on it's face. When the striped creature growled defensively at Maro, he did not back down, shooting back a glare. Nyoko did not notice the developing standoff and continued to answer the trainer's questions.

"I'm not a Trainer. I don't really like all the battling and stuff. I'm a Pokemon performer with my partner Maro-chan! I've competed a few times, but I haven't won much yet...Also, Maro-chan ain't really that weak. He maybe a Jigglypuff, but he's a real toughie. Heck, he's better than me in most things, especially running. I'm not that good at running at all..."

Robert picked up the Duskull and headed toward a nearby bench, where he set the ghost down to straighten the oversized black bowtie that hung lopsided on his neck.

"And.. there you go!" Robert said, standing up and smiling at the sight of his beautiful pokemon. But he didn't have much time to waste here. Soon he'd have to depart from Peach town.

"I guess we're doing this alone aren't we?" He said to duskull, who now floated beside Robert's head. Robert gave Duskull a smile, then turned and began walking.

"Thanks!" Nathaniel called after Daisuke. Just as the boy drifted out of sight, Nathaniel sighed contentedly and looked at his Gible. "I guess we better get going soon too, pal." Gible started to hop about excitedly as soon as Nathaniel mentioned leaving. "Calm down, will ya!? We're not leaving just yet," he said, standing up and stretching his back, "just give me a minute to get going."

Lady Sirere Vogel of the Rustborian House of Feder shivered a little as the chilling breeze hit her pale neck, causing it to sting a little with its sharp icy touch.

She pulled the hem of her coat up even higher, and wished for the first time that she had a hood on her coat. Or a car. Or anything, really, aside from a wallet filled with money, two pokeballs (already filled), and a small suitcase of clothing. In all honestly, she was starting to wonder what she'd do when she got to this "Peach Town"- would there be a place to stay? How would she get by if she couldn't find a way to get more money?

She felt the oddest urge to curl up in a ball and cry. But no, she wouldn't. After all, that wouldn't help anything, and she was stronger than that... plus, she admitted that curling up in the filth and exhaust of the passing cars wasn't high on her 'wants' at the moments.

She took a moment to cool down, looking behind her. She was almost across the bridge, big as it was. The blue expanse of metal stretched behind her like a giant snake, part work of art and part structure. She wasn't surprised to see such a thing- after all, Rustboro in its entirety was a work of art- but it was still rather impressive, nonetheless.

She blinked her brown eyes twice suddenly, as something surprising appeared on the horizon, around the axis of the far end of the bridge a circling, black creature, moving at a quick speed, and quickly growing in size-

The black dot fired itself above her, whipping up a blast of air as it passed by at near-supersonic speed. It was like a jet coming in for a landing, she realized with eyes quite big; seen up close, it was a bird pokemon of some sort, though far larger than the normal ones she knew. The black plumed monstrosity lifted off from where she could see it, concealing its body again as it rocketed off towards the other end of the bridge. She spied, attached to one of its talons, a large orange metallic-looking ball.

Eri wasn't entirely sure if she was terrified or enthralled by the massive beast, when she heard a massive shockwave emanate from the opposite edge of the bridge, the large black bird taking off at mach speed, its cargo delivered. A massive dome of red fire breifly consumed the Azure City end of the bridge, utterly destroying it. Not even remains of the metalwork were left, almost as if it were erased from existence entirely.

There was a breif, stunned pause before the screaming started.

Something seemed... off about Ochre woods. Lisa explored it (without permission) many times to look for a Pokemon top call her own, and it never was like this. She felt inside her front pocket for her Pokemon, Floatern, to make sure it was still there. She had left most of her standard gear at home, taking only Floatern and her rod, hoping to surprise the new trainers and Professor Sycamore with him. Scanning the area ahead, she spotted a light footprint in the ground...

"What *was* that?" Lisa asked outloud after the roar shook the forest. It wasn't anything she heard before. She turned around to the others, wondering how they were holding up. "You guys alright?" she asked, balancing herself on her rod. While she seemed confident, she kept one hand in her pocket as to have Floatern ready. "I think..." Lisa turned her head in the direction of the roar. "We need to head over there," she added, trying to keep a calm front for Josh and Jason.

"Don't worry, Lisa!" Jason said and smiled and grabbed Lisa. "I'll defend you with my extreme Pokémon calming skills!"

He then remembered something his grandma had said.

He let go off Lisa and looked around the woods that shone up in the emerald light.

Josh heard the roar, and was a little dazed by it. He thought for a moment. "Wh-what was that?!?!", before he snapped out of it, andlooked to the running Jason. HE said something quietly, just loud enough for Lisa and himself to hear. "Heh, what a loverboy. That's sayin' somethin' comin' from me." Then he turned to Lisa, and asked her politely. "Shall we follow him? He's being an eager Bibarel, and we would not want him getting hurt, right?" He smiled as he finished and awaited her reply.

Extreme Pokemon calming skills? What? Lisa thought to herself, stunned for a moment at what Jason just said. That was something she'll have to ask about later. As he went off to look around the area, Lisa went to call for him to be careful, before being interrupted by Josh's comment.

Lisa really didn't think about either of the two as potential boyfriends; since she met the two she was more interested in seeing how they perform in a Pokemon battle. She shook her head in embarrassment; right now Professor Sycamore could be in trouble!

"Yeah, let's catch up, then." Lisa replied to Josh, before she started to follow after Jason. "We shouldn't get separated now," she added, now hoping that they can find the professor and leave. "There's something seriously wrong here."

Nyoko was knocked off her feet by the huge tremour released by the spontaneous destruction of the Azure Bridge from the other side of the town. Then again, it wouldn't take too much to knock Nyoko off her balance. Maro was started by the tremour and lamented over its dropped octopus balls. As Nyoko got back onto her feet, people were screaming as they frantically rushed in the opposite direction of Azure Bridge, seeking refuge in their homes. Nyoko was not phased by the people rushing by and dusted herself off.

"Wow...I wonder what caused that earthquake. That one was really a doozy, nothing like anything I felt back home in Goldenrod," Nyoko idly said as Maro floated up to a nearby rooftop to get a better view of the situation. Maro saw people dashing away from the Azure side of town and floated down to Nyoko, pulling on her skirt, hoping to get her attention.

"Huh? What's the matter Maro-chan? Ya hungry again?" Nyoko asked. Maro frantically pointed in the direction of the bridge before dashing off towards it.

"Maro-chan! Get back here! Where are ya going!?" Nyoko shouted at her Jigglypuff as she made a heroic attempt to catch up with it, only tiring herself out.

"Nyeeeehh!" Jayden grunted as he struggled to keep his balance as the ground shook with the decimation of the bridge. Cygmini jumped of his head with a start and fluttered down to the ground with a desperate flapping of its wings. "What was that?!" He shouted to no one in particular, looking down at his pokemon and avoiding the sea of screaming people that just didn't seem to end. Cygimini merely shook its head negatively. "Come on," Jayden said, picking his pokemon up and placing it on his head again. "We've got to check this out!" he started to skillfully weave his way through the mob that was beginning to make its way forward; shouldn't they be doing something more logical?

Nathaniel jumped as a large bird-like pokémon soared over him and across the bridge, carrying an orange package of some sort in it's talons. Once it approached the far end, a sudden explosion rocked the large structure which was currently supporting him.

"What the - what was that!?" He exclaimed, as his Gible went into what seemed to be a panic attack. "Gible, return!" Nathaniel tucked his pokéball out of harms way just as the screaming started from the Azure side of the bridge; loud enough for him to hear from the opposite end. Once he had composed himself, Nathaniel (against his better judgment) began making his way back down the bridge, in an attempt to get a better look at the site of the explosion. However, after taking a few steps he noticed an elegantly dressed woman, who looked rather out of place in her surroundings - at least in comparison to his casual attire.

"Uh, ma'am?" He spoke rather loudly, his ears still adjusting after the sound of the explosion. "Are you alright?"

"Woah..... whats with this shaking...."

Even though Ralis was fairly strong on his feet, he felt the tremor and quickly tightened his grip on Badgex, who was trembling slightly but still safe. When Badgex began to calm down he let down his cuddly friend who, still stricken by the incident still ran towards the cause of the tremor. "Wait Badgex! You don't know what's up there!" Ralis yelled, running after the small Pokemon.

While rushing on the way to get up with Badgex, who had just vanished in the feet of the crowd, Ralis reached into his coat and drew out his flintlock pistol, he might need it if a Pokemon or human had caused this.

Then, Badgex was viewable at the end of the rushing people, dashing like never before he caught up with the Pokemon, grasping him and tucking the small creature under his right arm.

"Geez, don't you ever run away from me like that again Badgy, what were you thinking, you could have been ki-"

Ralis dropped his pistol, frozen in mid-sentence, he didn't notice the squealing Pokemon in his grasp, the shouting people, or the clattering feet. All he knew is that the bridge, all of the bridge, was gone.

"Hm?" Eri muttered as she tore her eyes away from the devastation that had once been a large segment of the mighty bridge. She'd never seen such a wanton act of terrorism ever in her life, never a disaster of this scale happening before her eyes; and yet, even as she watched the smoking, torn edges of what remained of that segment of the bridge burn and deteriorate, she didn't think on to how lucky it was that the structure could still stand if a large amount of it was taken away, or reflect on the multiple lives likely lost in the blast. No, instead she'd simply been watching the pretty fire, and how odd a sight it was to see such a great structure marred, several million dollars at least wasted. Her emotions almost seemed distant, disconnected, as if she couldn't really comprehend what she was seeing.

Not to mention, she kept playing the moment when that gargantuan bird passed overhead. The exhilaration, the sheer power and speed it commanded...

She glanced towards the auburn-haired man who called to him, blinking as she realized that her ringing ears and the cries of the crowd attempted to drown him out. Even so, she could read his lips well enough.

"Yes, I'm fine." she called back, also rather loudly in order to overcome the chaos.

As Bahnes tried this time to see if sound could REPAIR glass (thankfully far away from the hotel and its rather surly security), he remembered that he needed to get his Pokedex. To do so, he remembered, he needed to go through Ochre Forest. However, that was about when the bridge exploded. The explosion allowed for a momentary pause in his stride, however. He looked up, noticed the plume of smoke and the rather distressed public, and put checking out the bridge on his priorities list, right under getting a Pokedex.
