pokeballfinaluse2-1.pngGM Post: Ivy Woodsp><p>Daisuke reached out a hand to grasp the ebony-colored orbs that were interlocked with Stendilr

Stendilr then turned and regarded Nathaniel thoughtfully, his voice ringing out through the divine clearing through his psychic powers. Yes, the magnificent creature replied. I have many names, but that is what your race calls me. While we Stendilr are rare creatures, we are not unheard of—what sets me apart from my brethren are my highly-developed psychic powers.

The moment of otherworldly peacefulness was shattered suddenly as there was a crashing noise from behind Stendilr, somewhere ahead in the thick undergrowth. The deer-like Pokémon tensed slightly, its nostrils flaring with dislike, the expression in its golden eyes giving way to faint anger.

Quick, Stendilr commanded the three companions and their Pokémon, get behind me! There is a group of intruders on their way here, and I can sense that their intent is evil.

Stendilr reared on its hind legs briefly, its coat and magnificent antlers flashing golden in the sunlight, releasing a beautiful but chilling cry of ruin. I will teach them not to defile the sanctity of these woods!

Across the wide expanse of water, dotted here and there by small islands, the shadowy emerald undergrowth rustled—then there was a loud cracking noise as several individuals stepped into the clearing, clad in a black- and white-colored uniform emblazoned with the letter C. They came to a sudden halt as they saw Stendilr standing across the water from them, its golden eyes narrowed in outrage.

"I'm so pleased to hear you say that," Millia giggled to the four companions, lifting the black- and white-colored Pokéball in her hand. "Well, I won't disappoint you—I'll give it everything I've got! Go, Eevee!"

The brown-haired girl tossed the Pokéball to the ground with a graceful movement; there was a brief click as it struck the ground and swung open, revealing a burst of red light. The streak of light wavered momentarily before solidifying into the adorable form of a small canine creature with brown- and cream-colored fur, a bushy tail that it wagged slightly, and large brown eyes.

"We'll do it, too!" Pierre and Maxie cried from behind Millia, following the girl's example as they too hurled their Pokéballs against the ground. Pierre called There was another set of clicks and a double burst of flashing light.

"Let's do this, Septick!" Pierre called, watching as a medium-sized gray-colored creature appeared on the field, its torso reminiscent of a worm or some other kind of crawling animal; what was truly interesting was the large hollow, circular appendage that was attached to its back, oddly similar to some kind of cauldron.

"This'll be a piece of cake, Yacky!" the black-haired Maxie added, smirking with approval as his Pokémon appeared and straightened itself, its form composed of a a sturdy body with green- and purple-colored fur, sharp horns, a heavy face with beady eyes, and a tall hump rising from its back.

The three Pokémon stood their ground united against Lisa's Floatern, Bahnes' Magnemite, Jason's Squinky, and Josh's Wulfyr. Millia seemed to notice the discrepancy in numbers on both sides but didn't seem to be unduly bothered by it. Pouting prettily, she placed her hands on her hips and called out, "Four against three? What's a poor girl to do? Oh, I know—we'll crush the opponent beyond all repair!"

A bright smile lit up the girl's face, frightening because of her vicious cheerfulness and enthusiasm. "You can go ahead and have the first move, losers!" she added with a giggle, "since I promise that's all you'll manage to do!"
Please read, Blazinghydra and Otaku-sama.]

"What are you playing at?" the young man demanded, straightening from the stream with Buizel, both of them dusting themselves off with a rather cool and unbothered expression. "You can't go wandering off the path through the Ivy Woods unless you're going to be constantly alert," he continued, walking towards them with the otter-like Pokémon at his side. "If it hadn't been for Buizel and I, your Dratini would have been that Murkrow's dinner, so you should try and be a little bit more grateful."

The dark-haired young man grimaced slightly at Eri's angered expression, unable to comprehend why someone would be so upset over a few drops of water or why someone would go adventuring in such a get-up in the first place. He waited patiently as the elegant young woman continued her tirade, insulting his fashion-sense, insinuating that he liked to attack defenseless Pokémon, and generally giving voice to every other insult she could muster. He shared a quizzical look with Buizel at the other girl's unusual remarks, but shrugged and decided to pass on commenting on them for the moment.

He waited until the girl's angry tirade lapsed into a silence that was broken only after she apologized for her behavior. His eyes flashed perceptively over her face, somehow noting that she wasn't feeling exactly as she had stated, but he ignored that for the time being.

"I'm sorry about your dress," he said, running his hand through his bangs with a sigh, since apologizing didn't come very easily to him. "But I think that you would have been a lot more upset if that Murkrow had eaten your Dratini," he continued, indicating the serpentine Pokémon curled at her feet. "I don't like attacking Pokémon like that Murkrow without a reason, but it was necessary—anyways, it was only a Water Gun attack, meaning that its ego probably took more damage than it did."

The young man regarded the two girls in their expensive and impractical clothing—so clearly unsuited to traveling through the Ivy Woods—and noted their lack of survival equipment and supplies. He wondered briefly how they were planning to make it through the forest in such a condition, but instead said aloud, "Anyways, I'm Cerce Ontarre—I've been training here with my Pokémon. What brings you guys to the Ivy Woods?"

Eri paused, then brushed a few bangs of hair away from her face, that had fallen down while she had been trying to get through the forest. She was fairly mollified by his apology, and at least didn't feel like ripping his face off now, which was always a benefit when trying to interact with someone who was possibly your only chance of survival at the moment.

"I'm not sure about her," Eri said with a brief glance at the other girl. "We just sorta met up after wandering around for a bit. But I was trying to get to Ivy Town and I suppose I must have... underestimated the distance a little." she muttered. "My map was less than clear."

"Well, I was headed to Azure City, but then the bridge decided to fold itself away, so I couldn't get there. Then I went to a tea house for a long time. Dad wouldn't let me ride the helicopter to Azure City. Then Maro-chan took my handbag into the forest and I had to get it back. Then I met...Umm...I don't know you name yet," Nyoko replied, switching her target.

"I'm guessin' that you're one of those rich girls from my old school. I don't know, but you seem familiar or somethin'. That wierd cause I don't get that feeling a lot...Oh wait...Yes I do..."

Nathaniel bristled and returned Gible to his pokéball in a flash of red light as soon as the uniformed thugs had burst into the clearing. Having heard of criminal organizations in the past, such as the infamous Team Rocket from the Kanto region, and not to mention Team Galactic from his home region of Sinnoh, Nathaniel could not help but assume that the figures from across the water - especially due to their attire - were members of a similar organization.

Shuddering from Stendilr's display of power, he stood behind the creature as instructed, and turned to it in confusion at the sudden appearence of the 'organization'. "Do you know these guys? Are they trouble?"

"Ehh..."

Lisa raised an eyebrow at Millia as the strange girl spoke. The excitement from starting a battle was all but drained from Lisa as she watched Millia's antics. Something about her personality grated on Lisa's nerves, but she wasn't sure.

Floatern began flapping his wings quickly to get Lisa's attention, as if he was unpleased with her hesitation. Lisa, taking the hint, quickly returned her mind to the battle at hand. "Alright then, I'll just have to beat you first!" Lisa took a triumphant pose, pointing the the general direction of the opposing Pokemon. "Water gun on Eevee!"

Floatern's beak showed signs of a small grin before he flew towards Eevee, mouth wide open. A stream of water came flowing out from the bird, which came falling down towards the spot Eevee was standing on.

Eri blinked when the other girl started talking to her again. She once again found her attention being drawn to the hat, and cursed it once more. Damn it for drawing her attention and making it difficult to focus.

"Hm? Oh, well that's unlikely... I was taught by personal tutors my whole life. I've never been to a school." she said honestly. "I'm not from around her either, so it's rather unlikely we've met before." she paused, then giggled a little to herself.

"Besides, I'm fairly sure I'd recall you if we'd met before."

Jason looked at Lisa and raised his hand, doing a thumb up and smiled. He then looked at Yacky and Septick.

"Okay! I'll take care of the yak guy!" Jason pointed at Yacky. "Squinky! Use Bubble!"

Squinky jumped into the air and blew a cascade of bubbles out of it's mouth, aiming at the yak Pokémon. It then landed and had a victorious smile on it's face, even before the attack had hit.

The two pokemon had gone in already, leaving Bahnes and what appeared to be a volcano of acid. Horrible smelling acid. Thankfully, Bahnes remembered, Magnemite was Steel-type, and thus resisted the smelly gourd's acidic attacks.

"Magnemite! Use Supersonic!" The magnets on Magnemite's sides glowed, and an extremely high pitched sound was released. Somehow, Bahnes realized as he watched, the sound waves of Supersonic, if naturally amplified, was almost visible, allowing for the opponent to dodge the attack. This also carried the disadvantage of poor accuracy, but this wasn't the time to dabble with probability.

Guest Tainted Black

Josh chuckled at JAson. "Please, that big thing alone? I'm sending Fen with it. Fen! Head towards Yakky! And use Ember!" The small flaming Wolf got onto all fours and ran at the Yak-like pokemon, and shot some small flames out of his mouth. As soon as the flames left, it turned tail and ran a few feet back before returning its front to Yakky. Josh stared on, thinking. "Agh... what moves does Yakky know again? And what are its types? I know it is poison, but that's it" He continued pondering until he saw the next move.

At the site of the newcomers, Daisuke quickly snapped back to attention. "Return." He pulled out his Pokéball and brought back Munchlax. He kept his Pokéball at the ready, having a feeling he might need it at any moment. He stuided carefully the figures that stood before them. Who are these guys? Their clothes are strange, I don't recognize them from anywhere before. And what's with the big "C"? It must stand for something. An insignia, no doubt, but for what? Daisuke blinked in realization as an idea came to him. Of course, they must be some organization, like Team Rocket! I've heard of them, and they always wore strange uniforms with their letter emblazened on them. Perhaps these guy are of some relation.
