@Skul: She didn't try and break it just then. She had broken it long before then. Her blindness was an act for a while. She even confides in Mao in one of the side materials for the series that she is in fact faking her blindness when he questions her on it after reading her mind.

 

Also, the Emperor's Geass is less powerful because it can only Seal memories and abilities, both of which can be ragained through willpower. Even Shirley started to slowly remember things that Lelouch made her forget, due to memories being relatively easy to restore.

 

Lelouch's direct commands have shown no such breakability in the series.
