"Well that's not very nice." Zane barely managed to lift the rock with his brocken ribs and tossed the bandages to her. "Fix yourself up. Oh Jack by the way, is your skull fractured? If it is, then I'm getting better at kicking." Zane then limped over to Adamo and whispered in his ear "Take the pervert and the one who can't walk first before I tear my ears off. I'll find my own way out." With that said, Zane walked further into the cave, knowing it wasn' likely the others would follow. "Will someone remind exactly why I'm friends with these people."

Adamo ran over to Brittney, and scooped her up onto his back. He ran back to the vine, and grabbed on. Turning, he looked at Zane. "Sorry, I'm not gonna abandon you." Then, he looked at Brittney. "Hold on," he told her. Then, without warning, he pulled with his arms, and started climbing up the vine. He heard a strange noise as the vine strained the the combined weight of the two humans. Come on...come on... he said silently to himself. He was about two thirds up the hole when there was a seemingly deafening SNAP!, and the vine suddenly fell. Adamo screamed, but as they fell, he turned his body so that Brittney would land on him. They hit with a THUD, Adamo uttering a quiet "OOMPH!""

Jack watched Zane walk off and the vine snap off as Brittney and the Lieutenant came crashing back down right on top of each other. A funny joke soon entered Jack's mind, but he resisted. "Well looks like we can't get up through the hole anymore, we'll just have to try the tunnel." Jack picked the Lieutenant out from under Brittney, quickly bandaged her leg before it became worse and called out, "Jason can you carry Brittney please, me and the Lieutenant will follow Zane." Jack threw the Lieutenant's arm around his neck and tried to limp down the tunnel, still feeling extremely dizzy.

Britney Rolled Off Of Adamo And Fixed Up Her Leg. She Got Up And Used The Wall For Balance, This Time Not Falling Onto The Ground Again. "Well Im GOing To Follow After Him Cause Im Not Going TO Just Sit And Die Right Their If Anything Im GOing TO Die While Sitting Down In Pain And Agony" . Britney Said As She Slowly And Calmly Followed After Zane. "And Zane You Owe Me Alot For Breaking My Leg, Having A Boulder Fall On It And Me Falling ON Lieutenant Adamo So You Might Wanna Help Me Walk Before I Chop Off Yo Little Thingy You Got That" . Britney Gritted Through Her Teeth In A Very Threatening Tone.

Adamo almost laughed. He looked up, gazing longingly at the sky. Shaking his head, he turned, and gripped Brittney's arm. Before she could complain, he explained. "I'm going to help you walk. I'm sure the last thing we need is for anyone to be injured any more." He forced her to lean on him, and when she had, he turned back to face Jack. "Don't think you're not in any trouble, Jack." Then, he pulled his sub machine gun out, and pointed it in the direction that Zane had gone. "Come on," he told the others. "We'd better follow him."

IC: Zane continued walking despite the voices he heard behind him. He eventually came into a brightly lit chamber with four short pillars and a pool of water in the middle. "What the heck is all this?" Zane walked over to one of the pillars and used it for support. The second he touched the pillar, it began to react and move. The pillar seemed to split itself open to reveal a pair of gloves with a large blue jewel in the center. Zane,seemingly dazed by the gloves, walked over to them and put them on. The second he did, his eyes turned blue and he lost consciousness but was still standing. Zane then began to move unwillingly, placing his right hand out and putting his index and middle fingers together. Immediately, a very small blade shot out from the gloves fingertips and a blue wisp appeared at the end of it. Zane then began making movements with this blade, and the water in the large pool began to react. The water rose and began to submerge Zane. The body of water, still moving along with Zane's motion filled fingers, ruses over to where all the others were, and picked the other four up carefully. Zane and his traveling body of water slowly headed back to the chamber.

Jack arrived just in time to see Zane reaching out towards a strange looking set of gauntlets. Soon Zane was completely submerged in water and the other 3 gauntlets were slowly picked up. Something about each of the gauntlets seemed to call out to Jack and he somehow walked up to Zane submerged in a body of water. Somehow he didn't like the body of water that had enveloped Zane and for a minute he thought. "Should I blow this up as well? Lieutenant, do you have anymore of those grenades with you? I don't like what's happening here, whatever it is I think it has something to do with those crazy Gloves that Zane's wearing."

Zane's unconscious form took everyone and placed them down on the floor very gently. The water then floated back into the original source. The whole time the jewel on Xane's gloves had been glowing brightly. The jewels abruptly stopped glowing and Zane regained consciousness only to say "I hate change." before falling on the ground in an extremely deep sleep. Although Zane was badly injured a few moments ago, all of his wounds were gone and his ribs were fine.

26 arrived at his master's chambers and saw him looking out of a window. The whole city could be seen from the window. He turned around and looked at 26. "26, I threat has been unleashed on our world. 4 typical people will have un-imaginable power as soon as they find the 4 Elemental Gauntlets. I know this seems like a 10 second job, but its not. These gauntlets can destroy you if all of the elements hit you." 26 looked confused heairng this. "So your telling me, 4 humans, can kill me?" The master nodded before closing some blinds and activating a projecter. Glove-looking objects appeared with a jewel on each glove. The master looked at the projecter before pressing some buttons. "They have power that can destroy our world. None of the mecha pilots can destroy these. Our power is....weak, againts this threat. I need you to hunt them down and kill them. Then bring the gauntlets to me." 26 nodded before turning around and then leaving the room. Before he got to the door, the master said, "Oh, and we got some upgrades for you waiting in the armory. When your finished go to the training grounds and see if the Lieutenant will help ya." 26 heard this and left the room in the direction of the armory. When he got their, grey weopons that were the size of a baby's body were sitting on the wall. They all were extendible. 26 approached the wall, typing in a password to acces them. "Ill take a sniper, machine gun and a hand-gun." he grabbed them and placed them on his back and thigh. Before 26 left the room the master told him through his chip some information. "26, remember the gauntlets are in a cave. Iam afraid the humans are already their." 26 smiled before talking back. "Finally some fun." 26 left the room and headed out to the training grounds.

Wellesley was surprised at how many of his existing pilots were too attached to their mechs to give them up, but it wasn't really a problem - it made it easier to explain it as 'spreading the new units around', and it meant the new pilots that lost their machines only felt unlucky. Those with the Morgan units protested it more, having been given Kays modified as support units, but they had formed the impression that the Colonel didn't want the machines to succeed.

 

At this point, however, he was in the HQ building, having been given his deployment orders by one of the generals. Overpaid lazy morons, he mused. He had basically been told to hold an open field by sitting at the edge of the forest at the far end and trying to stop anyone leaving it. So ignore the killing ground and try and use all those new mechs in a field where infantry are at an advantage, and make it easier for us to be flanked? Wellesley thought about it as he glanced at a map of the area. Instantly he saw at least three points that would be better positions, and decided to compromise with the furthest forward one of those. If there was something he wasn't being told about this place, which didn't actually seem that unlikely, that position should cover it, and the rebels wouldn't have cover until they were on top of them.

"Looks like we've fallen behind, Britney. Come on, I'll help you up." Jason picked up Britney and walked into the chamber after Zane. He saw the gauntlets and raised his eyebrow. "What the heck are these things?" He walked over with Britney in his arms and he heard a voice coming over form the 2nd on in the middle. "What..?" He gently put Britney down and grabbed the gauntlet with his broken arm and it jumped on his arm. "What the!" He didn't finish his sentence. He then felt really hot. He was sweating like crazy. He yelled and shot fire from the gauntlet, not noticing it. Then flames engulfed him like the water surrounded Zane.

As Jack was examining Zane's wounds that had mysteriously vanished while he was submerged in water, he heard a clicking sound and all of a sudden the place smelled of smoke. Jack immediately turned around to see Jason immersed in flames, wearing another 1 of those strange gloves with Brittney lying nearby. "I guess these strange gloves allow the user to control a certain element, most likely there might be more of these. If the water didn't kill Zane, the flames shouldn't kill Jason." As Jack was thinking this he suddenly became curious of what powers remained and slowly hobbled over to another pair of the strange gloves that Zane had set on the ground. He saw 2 pairs of gloves left, 1 had a yellow diamond set on it and the other had a light bluish green like color that he couldn't identify. Jack looked at the stark lieutenant and at Brittney, and he kicked the 2nd pair of gloves over to Brittney, "Best to let you have them, if the Lieutenant got them, I'd be in more trouble than I am now." Without another second of hesitation, Jack put on the strange gauntlets with the yellow jewel embedded in them and immediately felt his heart stop as a suit of electricity suddenly surrounded him.

Adamo had walked part of the way with the other four, but before they entered it, he stopped, feeling for some reason that he was not meant to enter. Compelled by the strange feeling, he halted, and watched the others go on ahead. When he heard loud noises from the inside, he clenched his fists, trying to fight his urge not to move. Unable, he sighed, and shook his head. I hope that everyone is okay. They've been in there for a while, and I can hear strange noises, almost like...rushing water.

Britney Just Gasped As All Three Of Her Friends Were Engulfed By The Fire,Lightning and Water. She Looked at the gauntlet and forcefully put it on her hand. Suddenly her leg was magically fixed and she hadnt noticed that wind was blowing around her wildly. Her hair flapped against her face as she was suddenly blown back and lifted up into the air. She was then suddenly covered completely by a tornado that came out of nowhere. She felt like she couldnt breath but she was somehow still living inside the tornado.

"I still don't like this," one of the battalion commanders complained, as he and Wellesley stood watching the regiment deploy. The location that had been chosen was about a couple of hundred yards from the treeline, where the open ground rose up to a low ridge. Although not much, it would give the regiment the high groung if and when the rebels came from the trees, as well as being able to fire on the ground between them and the higher ridge that both men would rather be holding. Wellesley just hoped they wouldn't have to retake that one, especially if whoever they had to get it from was any good.

 

"I know," he replied, "but we're already disobeying orders being this far back. I can justify this on a tactical level, but if they're so desperate to keep the rebels of this ground I can't let them on any more of it."

 

The infantry was settling into position, just beind the top of the ridge, where they would lay down to reduce their exposure to the enemy. With the limited space to hand, they'd be sleeping in place, and many of them were setting up canvas covers, making sure they weren't too prominent.

 

Behind them a number of Kays were lining up. Most of them were older, several having parts in colours other than the 33rd's green, and ten had been heavily modified with more weapons - in fact they were almost as well armed as the Morgans, and five were crewed by the displaced Morgan pilots.

 

Those pilots were now grumbling about the loss of their new machines.

 

"Why are they giving the machines we've been trained on to those guys who've never even seen them, whilst we get left with relics?" One asked.

 

"I reckon he wants them to fail. It's still under trial; he probably doesn't like them, or someone involved with the project, so he's not giving them a chance."

 

Inside on of the other units, an older man smiled as he listened to the new guys complaining. He knew the reason for the switch - the Kays they were in know were the inspiration for the new mechs, which was in turn the reason they were in this regiment. Therefore it only made sense that the pilots experienced in the fighting style the Morgans were built for used them. Far from letting them fail, the Colonel wanted them to shine. Not that he'd give up his Kay for anything - he'd just got the weapons how he wanted them, and no way was he moving back to a standard model.

 

The said Morgans were at the back of the formation, along with several Kays and five slightly larger mechs that carried spears. These were the Caradocs, intended for commanders and their guards. It was unusual for them to be here, and in the 33rd's own colours as well - they were intended for general-level officers - but somehow the regiment had picked them up over time, and Wellesley used them a reserve force, as well as his own personal unit.

When Jack awoke, Zane, Jason, and Brittney were all passed out on the floor. Jack looked around, but couldn't find the lieutenant anywhere. "Where did Lieutenant Crucefen go, he was supposed to be around here somewhere." said Jack. Jack immediately ran over to Zane, Brittney, and Jason. "All of their wounds have been healed, but now we need to find a way out of her" Jack looked around, they were in a large chamber where the four pillars that contained the gauntlets once stood. Jack looked around and put his hand on a nearby wall to check. "Hmmm we might be able to burst through this wall, we might be able to use Brittney or Zane's Gauntlet to get through this wall." said Jack. Jack looked over at Zane and Brittney and saw that they were still unconcious. He shook them violently but still couldn't get them to wake up. When he became frustrated Jack, resorted to a hard kick to Zane's face, but to no avail. "I guess I'm gonna have to wait" said Jack and he sat down against a broken down pillar.

Britney Woke Up Quickly With A HUge Stir. "I Just Feel Like I Just Got Out Of A Casino In vegas And I Love It Baby" . Britney Said Happily As She Got Up And Stood Next To The Pillar That Had ONce Held The Gauntlet That She Was Wearing At That Time. "How Are We Supposed To Get OUtta Here" . Britney Said COnfusingly As She Looked Around And Wondered How They Were Going To Get oUt. "Why Dont You Guys Break The Wall And I Just Sit Here And Do Nothing" . Britney Said AS She Sat Down And Crossed Her Legs.

Jason groaned. Hhe heard talking and it was waking him from his sleep. As he slowly rose up, he saw Britney and Jack, not knowing who Jack was. "Ergh, what happened?" Jason slowly looked around and then at his wrist where a gauntlet was present. "I don't remember putting this on before..." He grabbed the gauntlet and tried to take it off, not getting any succes. He pulled harder again but had no progress. "What the heck, just get off!" He threw his arm towards the wall and it shot fire out of his hand. The fire had hit the wall and burned the stone slightly, making it weaker. Still confused, he looked over at Britney and Jack. "What is going on here?"

"Ahh, finally! I was waiting for you guys to wake up. Electricity won't do a thing to rocks, so I need Zane and Brittney to the rock around here." Jack points to the north-east side of the chamber. "I tested the walls all around the room, this side is hollow, like it has a path on the other side of it. So I need you guys to find a way to break this rock down. You scorched the rock so lets see if Brittney can use the wind to break the rock. If we do manage to break the rock, I volunteer the lieutenant to carry Zane if he stays unconcious since he did little to wake us up." said Jack

"Well Its Obviously Not Gunna WOrk Cause WInd Isn't Gunna Do Anything TO A Rock But Whatever" . Britney Said AS She Stepped To The Hollow Rock And She Began To Focus. "So Im Just GUnna Try To Make Strong Winds And THen The Rock Will Basically Crumble Like A Wet Cookie" . Britney Said As Her Mind Began To Focus And The WInd Began Blowing Faster And Faster. "You Guys Might Wanna Hold ONto Something" . Britney Said As She Made The Winds GO Faster Until The Winds Were ABout The Speed Of A Tornado. Suddenly The Rock Began To Crumble At The Top A Little As Britney Began To Make The WInd Go Faster.

Jason grabbed on to a pillar. Maybe not the best idea, since the pillars were falling apart, but it was something. What a crazy emo goth... Jason shook his head as he wacthed her bring up the wind. I wonder why she got a gauntlet? I haven't seen her doing much special things around the camp. Except for maybe a few criminal acts, but other than that, nothing special. As he wacthed her gather more wind, he wondered how the gauntlet's worked. Maybe they can just control certain properties...

Jack suddenly started to panic. The wind that Brittney had created was blowing rocks and debris all over the place. All of a sudden Jack turned around and saw that the wind happened to blow Zane's unconcious form onto an undamaged pillar where it was safe for now. Jack quickly grabbed onto 1 of the other pillars that looked like it was intact, except for a few deep cracks and held on for dear life. Unfortunately the wind that Brittney was creating was approaching the speed of a category 3 hurricane and Jack couldn't grip the pillar hard enough and his grip slipped right from the pillar and Jack went rushing straight around the room, accidently knocking into the pillar that Jason had been holding onto, knocking Jason straight off the pillar. "AAAAHHHHHHH!!" Jack screamed before he crashed into the wall at full speed; weakening it even more as Jack clutched his ribs and shoulder as he continued to fly around the room.

As Jason was knocked off the the pillar, he flew towards the wall. Oh crap! Jason closed eyes. He waited for the pain to hit him. It didn't. As he opened his eyes, he looked behind him. Fire was burning behind him, protecting him from hitting the wall to hard. "Wha-" Jason quickly stopped his speech. The wind was sucking in the oxygen, making it hard to breathe. And the fire was going out. He stared at Britney only hoping that her hurricane would stop soon.

26 had his mind focused on the gauntlets. "I better kill these people." 26 looked at the training ground then he walked off to the direction of the cave. 26 ran through a forest that was just outside of the training ground. he looked around and saw birds flying around the place. "Birds, i hate birds." While he was in the forest, it started to rain. Light rain wasl felt along the path to the cave. "Iam a long while from it. Better get their faster." 26 ran faster towards the cave. But he didnt know where he was going, he just kept runnign in the way he fought. "That cave is near, i can smell it." The rain got harder and then thunder was heard. The sky turned dark before a light was shown from a cave near him. "Found you."
