I've never heard the audio, but I bet you're right. The footnotes are a funny part of it too.

This is by far my favourite book series. I guess Percy Jackson comes close, but the movie adaptation was horrible.1

Mm, it's decent. Not nearly as good as you're making it out to be, though.

 

Not sure why you're so certain it's better than Harry Potter. Sure, J.K. Rowling is worse at shipping than Hajime Kanzaka and William Shakespeare's patrons combined, but honestly, it's revered for a reason.
