I don't correct people like an ass, but if someone's speaking Ebonics online, I'll probably say something. There's a limit to how stupid I'll let you sound before I can't keep quiet about it, and if you really care about getting your point across, you should know how to lay it out in an easily digestible manner. Of course, there are some rules I don't always strictly follow, but in general I try to be consistently accurate in structuring my sentences.

Whenever I see a custom card, I instinctively try to make it sound as realistic and professional as possible.

I dont like Grammar Nazi's.

I surely wouldn't correct someone IRL unless how they spoke caused a problem' date=' why do it online?

[/quote']

Because IRL it's likely a speech impediment. Online, it's just being stupid.

Unless they're dyslexic or something, which I could forgive, but I don't see why many dyslexic people would go online in the first place.

I also don't like when someone abbreviates something, then says (I didn't feel like typing the whole thing lol) right next to it. It totally defeats the purpose of abbreviation if your explanation is longer than the word would have been had you typed it out in the first place! Or if you even have to explain the abbreviation at all. Damned rascals.

It's actually instinct for me to correct something that I hear/see that sounds/looks incorrect. I don't do it to be rude, it's just human nature.

It never actually bothers me, but it gives me another excuse to be a dick over the internet.

Some people can't help it.

They invented spellchecking for a reason. I, however, am also a punctuation Nazi. It isn't difficult to do. If you know and understand English it should be simple. The only way I would give a pass to someone is if said person didn't have English as their first language.
