Alright, for those ancient pokegamers here is a thread to remind us of those good old days when ghosts pokemon could be attacked by the move wrap and still keep their health. The day when you could freak the sh** out of your friends with a legit Mew that you got by glitching.

I will be posting a suggestion that goes along with this thread.

 

this is also a contest. Whoever beats the E4, Champion, and captures Mewtwo first.

You may only enter the contest if you use a cartridge version.

You must provide picture proof as well. You must use pokemon from that cartridge. That means no trading period. Even if you have the lowest time you may still lose. The person with the lowest level teams wins hands down. So if you want to win this you must use strategy and not pure high leveling.

 

We will all begin on a set date.

1st- 3 reps and the put in points of all people

2. 2 rep

3 1 rep

 

Use must beat this game legitimately. Glitching without a cheat device is excluded and allowed.

 

Enter fee- 50 points.

First of all, I doubt many people have their hands on a legitimate Yellow Version cartridge. Nor does anyone likely have one of those old Gameboy things. You'd increase your chances of participants if you allowed it to be open for all of Gen I.

 

And another thing, why can't we use emulators? The only advantage we get is save state and load state, which is really easily mimicked by the in-game saves of Pokemon. And to my knowledge, emulators don't come with cheat codes, and it is much easier to take a screenshot of an emulator than to take a picture of a Gameboy.

 

EDIT: Not attempting to take over your thread, but you should give this competition and edge and make it based on score. Like, your score equals total level of Pokemon + total time + ball you caught Mewtwo in, and lowest score(s) win. It makes it more interesting than to leave it just at lowest-leveled Pokemon.

How can you even tell if someone's telling the truth without a heck of a lot of pictures?

JadenXAtemYAOi/Lexi will not be on YCM as much as anymore. This is her boyfriend and I was given a list of members to PM. The new usertitle and reason for absence will explain if her past posts have not. The reason she wanted to me to reply to this is because she saw you as her YGO mentor as she did with Jabber.

Not sure why she saw me as a mentor. Her and I didn't get along.

Nah, but I'm pretty sure, by the current rules, it'll guarantee you the contest. <3

 

And I'd love to see how you go about beating the Elite Four with Level 2's... without hacking. <_<

And as for beating it like that, I was going to suggest a couple million Revives.

Even if you have infinite Revives' date=' the AI will just take out another one of your Pokemon when you Revive one. Unless you have 6 Pokemon with Quick Attack. Then you MIGHT just get somewhere. But Ghost types will f[b'][/b]uck you over.

 

They will adventually run out of PP and use Struggle til they die.

Well the important people got the info. Yes Dark beating the game with level 2's without cheats would make you the winner but if someone did the same but with a quicker time then they beat you.

 

As for emulators. they come in with a built-in cheat device and cartridge versions. Well, i imagine a cheat genie couldn't handle the amount of data modifying it would take to make a hacked pokemon/team. I don't know for a fact so don't quote me. I can find you some posts from some people that mention the pokegods. If you somehow find one then give the instructions on how you did it so we know it wasn't hacked.

Glitching to get pokemon like the mew trick are allowed.

I know screenshotting an emu would be easier so if anyone knows some youtube hackers that hack these games then tell me please. I can't tell the difference between a hacked gb pokefile. :/

 

Back on topic, how long did you guys spend trying to beat Brock? i think is was basically required to beat him by training a bug pokemon, right? Or is there a simpler way?
