Yugioh:Fusion of Worlds:Shadow of the Spirit World [Started/Not Accepting][PG-16]

A Duel Disk appeared on Elem's arm and he drew six cards. He appraised the six of them and nodded, once, before placing his own card on the Disk, causing a ring of light to appear below him. He then played the Spell Card Armor Change, causing his armor to turn gold. He then gained a pair of golden feathery wings and a long staff appeared in his hand.

 

"Much better." The new Monster said "I am Nature Knight - Shining Savior, though you may call me Shine, and this is the Duel Monsters Spirit World. Judging by that glowing pair of Wings on your arm and the fact that Red Dragon Archfiend has been circling you since you landed here like a vulture over roadkill, I'm assuming you're one of the Signers that Jasmine's been panicking about."

[The Dragon Duelist]

He raised his brow lightly looking at him. "Red Dragon Archfiend is here?" He looked around quickly looking for it. "I haven't seen him since I was a child." He stopped turning back to the Spirit. "Wait.. the.. Spirit World?" He looked around thinking back to his childhood. "I remember now.. I have been here before."

 

He drew Red Dragon Archfiend looking at it before putting him away. He spoke to the spirit again slowly asking the question. "Wait.. a Signer? What is that?"

Shine looked up at Red Dragon Archfiend "You didn't tell him yet? Seriously? Come on man, just roll the tape, it's not that long..." The dragon roared a couple of times "What do you mean it's not Dark Signer related?" He roared again "Seriously? Someone corrupted Neos? Power of Chaos? Isn't he that puddle thing? Oh, yeah, right, that's Phantom of Chaos. Anyway, I really don't feel like filling the kid in. The Head's here too? Alright, he can deal with him."

"The Electros I ran into were members of the Machine Empire stationed at that base I was talking about. The Machine Empire is very large and very powerful, and you can easily make an enemy out of them. The Vulcans were sent to destroy me on the orders of the Machine King, but failed. And the Kings...oh yeah! Those imbeciles! The Kings, more well known as the Kings of the Nameless Countries, which are called that because the locals rarely know what nation they belong to since their leaders are always waging war against each other and the borders change so often. I ended up there to help find some ancient ruins that were presumably left by aliens or something, but then the Army of the Black Highlands attacked. I personally defeated their king in a duel, since my Deck uses Synchro Monsters, but doesn't rely on them, and he got a little peeved. I also ended up annoying the other kings in the area as well over time, but they're too busy bickering amongst each other to try to stop me."

 

"Rayos..." AKI whispered. "Can we just sit here for a while?"

"Sounds like they could be Drake's long lost brothers" Ilana joked, snuggling up closer to Cici with a faked shiver "Did it just get a few degrees colder in here?" She asked, despite the fact that Temptress was still in the room and was trying, and failing, to get Testudo to stop drooling over the two of them, and thus made the room slightly warmer instead of colder.

 

Rayos smiled at AKI and moved his hand around her waist slid slightly closer to the cyborg "Of course, AKI." The amnesiac said, holding the girl close to him, like she were made of porcelain instead of metal "We probably have a few minutes while Drake's distracting Jasmine, which, God willing, will be a while."

The sound of a d-wheel reving came from near the signers. "Someone talking about me?" James smiled, seeing Shine. "Long time no see. So, you're another signer. Welcome to the spirit world, but i'm sure Shine has told you something about this place, and that you don't know much about the signers, by the look on your face. Ok, we signers are pretty much guardians of anything "Spirit" based, as in duel spirits, dark signers, which i won't get into, and protection of both the human world and spirit world. The spirit world is our concern right now. I don't quite knwo why yet, but as soon as some of the other signers come, someone will explain it to us."

"Now that the epidemic is over, this is an emergency! We don't have a lot of time! The spirit world is in danger, and i need to find the signer who is here!" Jasmine was getting mad at this point, steaming almost, from being drag aroud satellite by a talking d-wheel, going on a wild goose chase for the signers, and now this.

As soon as James showed up, the Tail Mark on his left arm and Black-Winged Dragon's card glowed blindingly bright for a brief moment and vanished completely, reappearing on Shine's arm and Duel Disk, respectively, then glowing once more and disappearing, again.

 

"Sorry, can't help ya." Rayos said, forgetting that AKI was a Signer. No sooner had he gotten the words out, however, than the Tail Mark etched itself into his Duel Gauntlet, reformatting it to appear sleeker and more draconian, with five clawed fingers and the Tail Mark on it, etched into the metal, so that, unlike the other Signers, whose Marks all appeared on the top of their forearms, his was instead wrapped around his Gauntlet, with the tips of both sides a fraction of an inch apart from each other.

"I believe you mean the SIGNERS in here." AKI corrected as her Signer mark lit up as well, which was also more detailed and streamlined. "Now, could you please tell me who you are and why you interrupted our cuddling?"

 

Cici turned to Ilana. "Really? Using that trick? Come on! I've seen members of your signature archetype have more success with that line on each other than you using that one me!"

She then quickly kissed Ilana again.

"But there's no need for you to try that one me, because you'll soon be mine."

James felt the mark leave his body. "Darn! I didn't even get to use it! Oh well, at least it's in good hands. So, Shine, any news on Jasmine, like has she met up with the other signers?"

Jasmine looked at Rayos' arm. "Can't help, huh? Well, even if you don't know who the signer is," she looked at his gauntlet, "You could be helpful, i mean your all good duelists, well, i don't know about that cyborg, but i'm sure shes good. And before any of you say you're just human, i'm helping and i don't have powers." She pulled out the card given to her in the spirit world. "And i might be your only ticket there." She looked at the cyborg. "So your a signer? Never saw that coming... Anyways, the spirit world is in danger, and a spirit there has sent a message to said signers to get them there to help against whatever evil is there or is coming. You must have ignored the portal, or it didn't reach you. I don't know the full details, but i will once i get the signers to the spirit world, which i need to do soon, because i've kept some spirit and James waiting too long already."

[The Dragon Duelist]

He stood there looking around. "Hm... I get it.. I guess." He sighed as he walked forward quickly. "I need to get home... my sister...." He sighed lightly stopped looking up at the sky seeing Red Dragon Archfiend. He then grabbed his arm thinking quietly. He then grabbed his deck sliding it into his duel disk. "I need to get ready."

"Technically, I'm human,*she's a cyborg," Rayos said, looking at his arm "And apparently, I'm now a Signer... What the Hell?" He shrugged, reached up, and plucked the Spirit World card out of Jasmine's hand and showed it to AKI "Someone's gona have to die for this..." He told her, not realizing that his Gauntlet was now flush with his skin, almost eliminating any possibility of him having a real arm under there.

 

"Feeling a little arrogant aren't you?" Ilana asked, returning the brief kiss "Maybe I'm just playing with you until Tara's back."

*He's not, but he thinks he is

Shine drew another card from his deck "Element Change." He stated as his gold armor turned pitch black, his wings turned into a billowing black cape, and his long staff turned into a massive broadsword that looked like it weighed more than some US States, all the while replacing his armor's general angel motif with a demonic one.

 

"You've been doing your research. Last time we met, you never even heard of Transformation Monsters. Now, you know me on sight." Shadow told James with a nod "Smart move."

Cici laughed as she placed her hand on Ilana's back, sending alternating waves of pleasure and pain into her body as something was burned into the skin on her back.

"You know how Dark Signers can take on others to be Shadow Drones by infusing a little bit of their power into a human to unlok their inner darkness? Well, I'm going to do something similar, but with a lot more of me into you. You will most of your original personality and a good portion of your free will. The question is: how much of your sanity will be left?"

Ilana's eyes turned black as two small Dark Signer tattoos etched themselves into the sides of her face right next to her eyes, giving her the appearance of having red eyeshadow. A purple mark that was similar to Cici's albeit without the turtle shell pattern or the condor mark burned itself into Ilana's skin.

"I've been waiting for a candidate to share a protion of my power, and you seem like the perfect choice. Now, you will serve me, and become strong enough to take back your love."

Ilana's body went rigid and then slumped down, like she had fallen asleep where she sat on the bed. After a few long moments, she opened her eyes slowly, her expression blank, her eyes vacant, barely breathing.

 

Temptress let out a silent, agonized gasp and fell to her knees, clutching her head in pain before she finally burst into a mass of molten hot flaming lava, leaving a circular hole in Ilana's carpet, the edges still burning in some places, and blackened tiling beneath that. From a tree outside, there was a loud, avian screeching sound and the tree simply erupted in a brilliant, azure flame.

Testudo sighed. "And I never even got her number..."

 

Cici observed her new servant, and smiled. "I now know what you're thinking. You're still in shock as to what just happened. What did happen is that I infused you with a mixture of dark magic, the essence of the Netherworld, what all Dark Signers are made of, and a bit of my own soul. In Harry Potter terms, you are now a Horcrux. I know even more about your loss, and I feel your anguish, which is why I'm helping you. If Tara sees you like this, she might realize how far down she's fallen, and what she has to do to fix her current situation. Or, she will find your new dark powers attractive, and she will return to you. Either way, you get tara back. And fortunately, you have your entire deck intact. I didn't even add any Dark Synchros, unless you want them. Why Temptress went away is anyone's guess..."

((And so did Crimson Field Hawk and any sense of self Ilana had))

 

Ilana remained motionless, not in a state of shock, but in a state of braindeath. She was still alive and conscious and cognizant, but she was no longer in control of her conscious mind. She tried desperately to move, to shout for help, to scream, to blink, to do something. After a few long minutes of struggling futilely, she screamed in her mind in pure, agonized frustration, which was only elevated when she realized that she was physically incapable of weeping. She was stuck, in her own body, being tormented by a sadist with hopes of seeing her one love again.

 

Meanwhile, outside the house, the large old oak outside Ilana's room was still burning, drawing a crowd from around the neighborhood, none of whom realized that the house was occupied again.

Cici noticed Ilana's blank stare, and swore. "Dammit! I knew I forgot something! She placed her hand on Ilana's seal, and the seal glowed faintly. Temptress reappeared, along with Crimson Field Hawk, as Ilana's mind was unlocked.

"So sorry. I meant to make you lose a bit of your free will, not turn you into a doll! Though, I would be more than happy to revert you back into my pretty little puppet, if you wish.

Interestingly enough, Temptress now sported a darker version of her old attire, with one of her eyes black instead of white, and Crimson Field Hawk now had black markings.

As soon as her Spirits reappeared, Ilana doubled over and collapsed on the floor, clutching her head in agony, while Field screamed and shouted and started flying blindly around Ilana's room, igniting everything he touched.

 

Verda, meanwhile, was slowly making her typing motions, despite being in obvious agony and, after a minute and a half of agonized typing, finally finished Please, stop. Hurts too much. Killing us. No more. Please.

Testudo quickly breathed out a dampening mist that stopped the burning and actually cooled it down as well as repairing anything that got burnt. Cici went over to Ilana and tried to calm her down. "Ssshh...It's alright, Ilana. I'm here. just calm down, and tell me what's wrong." Testudo heard this, looked over at Verda's typing, and caught "Pain". He then blew two bubbles that caught the two Duel Monsters and started to relax them, taking away the pain. "Cici, we have a bit of a problem." Testudo told his mistress as she tried to get Ilana under control.

"You...tried...killing...me..."Ilana said, finally able weep out of sorrow "You...killed...my...Spirits..." She slowly struggled to her knees "You..." Something in Ilana's mind snapped and her eyes regained their natural coloration "You mocked me using Tara's memory." She snapped her fingers and her single bladed Duel Disk appeared on her wrist in a flash of red flames. Ilana's breathed quickened and she started sweating from the effort. She shook her head and stared straight at a picture of herself and Tara at the beach and got up, using the Duel Disk to pull herself up and then steadying herself against the wall "Get...out...of...my...house." She commanded.

 

Field, meanwhile, was frantically trying to escape his bubble, while Verda was trying to type some more. However, the water inside of her bubble was rapidly evaporating her fire magic, rendering her letters unintelligible puffs of smoke.

Cici popped the bubbles, releasing Ilana's Duel Spirits, as she said "Sit down, please." Ilana suddenly sat back down on her bed. "Now, listen to me, please. I want to help you find your lover, but only if you help me in return. I care about you, and I don't want you to hate me. And please note that everytime I use the word 'please', any orders I give you just before or after that word will cause you to obey them without question. That is the only part of your free will I have taken away. Now, any questions?"

"I said get out of my house, you monster." Ilana said, tears streaming down her face and blood dripping down her nose and ears from the strain on her body "My heart, my soul, and my free will belong to Tara, and no one else." She raised her Duel Disk and snapped her fingers twice, causing a card to shoot out of her deck. With practiced motions, she dropped her arm exactly three inches and snapped it ninety degrees to the right before raising it back up again, causing the shot card to land perfectly in her last Spell and Trap Zone. "Laval Crimson Passionate Soul." At her words, an orange fire appeared around her, blazing hot but not seeming to touch anything in Ilana's room. The Psychic Duelist let out a pained gasp and clutched her forehead, wiping the blood from her nose and ears. "Last... chance..." She managed to gasp, her breathing heavy, strained from the mental exertion. "Leave."

"Can we at least compromise?" Cici pleaded. "If I remove that obedience spell, will you at least listen to what I hae to offer you? I meant you no harm! In fact, I wanted you to become more powerful so you could get Tara back!"

 

"We're going to the Spirit World?!?" AKI perked up upon hearing this. "Awesome! Maybe someone there can build me a new body!"

[Blackstone Dresden]

"At the cost of my free will." Ilana said, "If the only way to free my love is to sell my soul to the devil himself, I'll do it, but only after exhausting any chance of ever being with her again." She struggled back to her feet and forced herself to draw one card from her deck "Pained Choice. I select five Monster, Spell, and Trap Cards from my Deck, send four to the Graveyard and Remove the fifth from Play for two turns. Temptress, Field, Lavallord Judgment, Laval Greater, sleep." The two Spirits flew into Ilana's graveyard and her flames grew brighter. "I gave you a chance to leave. Now I give you a choice: kill me or die."

 

"AKI, if your Solid Vision projector for your Avatar is the same as for your Duel Disk, your Avatar will become your real body." Rayos told her, studying the Mark of the Dragon on his arm and touching where his Gauntlet met his flesh "No seam..." He whispered.

AKI suddenly stood up. "Anyone getting a feeling of impending doom, or is that just me?"

 

Cici backed away from the flames, looking over at Testudo. "A little help?" The turtle shook her head. "Sorry, boss. You're on your own this time." The little turtle walked out of the rom, undoing Cici's spell and bringing the room back into reality, which also meant that the flames set off the smoke detector.

 

"Something's very wrong." AKI realized just before the smoke alarms went off. She rushed out of the garage and into Ilana's room, leaping through the flames to see two evil-looking women, one wielding flames and threatening the other. "What the hell is going on here?!?"

"AKI, it's not what it looks like." Ilana said "Wish I had a nickel for every time I had to say that to a girl..." She muttered, reigning in the flames around the room and finally dousing the tree in the yard "She invaded my mind and made me her puppet. She killed my Duel Spirits, only to bring them back for the express purpose of torturing them so I'll surrender my free will to her. Please, either help me kill her, throw her through whatever wall you prefer, or stand out of my way and avoid being melted into scrap metal."

 

"AKI, wait!" Rayos said, catching up just after the "scrap metal" comment. He looked around at the burning room and swore quietly "Ilana..." The smoke cleared just enough to let him get a good look at her "What the HELL?! Drake and I leave you alone for five seconds are you're already tattooed and alone in your room with a... well endowed... tattooed woman..." He realized he was looking at Cici, "Oh, just her, alright, carry on."
