IC:"Really, you think I'm the one that betrayed you after she joined the last, what, two? evil groups we battled, stole you, and most likely beat the living crap out of you? Fine, i'll show you the truth, draw!" James smiled as he noticed the card was just what he needed. "I play cold wave! Now, for the rest for the rest of this turn, and your next, none of use can activate or set a spell or trap, but you can still chain one to this cards activation, if you see it needed."

"Oh, crap!" She floored the gas, hoping this wouldn't go bad, seeing as how it's locked on to her. Hopfully, it will let up soon, so i can find the other signers, seeing as how one doesn't want to be bothered

From the next room over, which just so happened to be Drake's kitchen, Ilana let out an appreciative whistle as she saw Cici. "You know something, I highly doubt this is the first time Drake's had a naked tattooed girl walking around his house." She told the Dark Signer, setting her copyrighted vanilla flavored carbonated beverage on the table, under a coaster, of course, and walked up to Cici "We haven't been formally introduced though, I'm Ilana, resident big-sister figure." She offered the Dark Signer her hand and whistled, causing Temptress to appear next to her, say something in some foreign language, and vanish again.

 

"You can read my mind, but you still think I wanted to see the city?" Rayos asked "I've seen every city, town, and village for five hundred miles, why, besides the obvious, is this one so special?"

 

"She only turned because of you." Mark stated "Don't remember much from your time as a Dark Seal, do you? You Dueled Ivy and killed her, breaking the fragile balance between Signer and Dark Seal in her mind. That balance was all that kept her sane, because the combined influence of the Crimson Dragon and the Orichalcos on one person's mind is too much. Ancient Fairy Dragon was forced to abandon her, and charged Stardust with returning her to her former life. We all know what happened after that. You failed. Over and over again, until she, in her madness, kidnapped me. Don't you see James, everything that's happened to me, and to her, is all your fault." He triggered two of his face-downs "Now, Descending Lost Star, bring back Vairon Sigma! Urgent Tuning! Heaven's judgment has been cast! Put this fallen world out of its misery! Synchro Summon! Wings of God, Vairon Epsilon!" The Herald and Vairon were combined into a large mechanical angel behind Mark "You should have payed more attention to when I was talking." He told James, beckoning to his third activated Trap Card "Just after you drew, my Battle Mania activated, and, because of your Cold Wave, you're powerless! Now, feel Vairon Epsilon's divine retribution!"

Faust seemed to let out a sigh, sounding akin to a big rig letting out brake pressure, only on a smaller scale, and followed after Jasmine, figuring that she was liable to get hurt as fast as she was going.

"That's not what happened. Ivy won, freeing me, though I'm yet to discover where Ivy is, doesn't mean (s)he's dead. Were you there to see that? Was SHE there to see it? No, she was hiding like a little kid, too afraid to come out of the shadows. Me and Ivy were looking for her, but she decided to hide, Ivy said she felt happy, letting the real signers do all the work!" Maybe Tara can hear me through Mark. He smiled as he thought about it. "Now, quit this load of crap! You know the truth, Tara knows the truth too, but she afraid if she doesn't feed you lies you'll learn the truth, but there's only one way to show you the light, by beating you! You see, i can still chain to your card, and i'll chain with Rush Recklessly, boosting Armed Wing past the power of your Epsilon!" The bird stared moving twice as fast as normal.

"Still?" She made a sharp turn, almost knocking her off. "Go away! I wasn't going to hurt anyone! I need the signers help! Thats all!"

AKI sighed. "Because it is my home." She nostalgically replied. "I've lived here as far back as I can remember. I was assembled here, and I will either die here or on some far-off colony of humanity, knowing the rate at which we are progressing. I enjoyed the time we had together after Itsu copied herself into me. We defeated some Kings and Queens, and overall bonded together, until one of each faction dueled Itsu and I in a Tag Turbo Duel. The two of them attacked me directly, but because of the realism of the duel, I remember flying, and then I blacked out. When I awoke, I was in Sattelite, on top of a junk pile, with plus 390 days, 16 hours, 43 minutes, and 29 seconds since I was last active."

 

Cici blushed, not making eye contact with Ilana, and grabbed some of her hair and tried to drape it around herself. "Your Duel Spirit was just thanking me for a dispute I settled in the Lavallands about a year ago. The Flamvell were attempting to stir up trouble in that lawless wilderness in order to expand their realm. Flamvell and Lavals never get along, and it would take a very good duelist to get them to work together."

"Enough of your lies." Mark said coldly "Tara told me that you told her that same lie, that Ivy won, that she somehow freed you, but have you seen Ivy? No. Do you know where she went? No. You didn't see her, but I did. I saw Tara reunited with the love of her life, I saw you trying to ruin that, I saw Ivy trying to convince you to let her be happy. But no. The leader of the Signers dedicated himself to ruining the only good thing to come to my sister after the Dark Seal catastrophe. I saw you succumb to the Darkness, saw you torment my sister's Duel Spirit. I saw you force her into a Duel. Yes, she defeated you, and yes, you were freed from the Darkness. But do you know the cost that it came by? Do you know WHY we were never able to find Ivy, despite the fact that she's a part of Tara's soul?" He triggered his last face-down "James, you murdered my sister's best friend. Trap Card, Synchro Striker Unit! Now, Epsilon gains 1000 ATK on the condition that he loses 800 ATK during each of my End Phases. Epsilon, Dive Wrath!" He called as a large cannon affixed itself to Epsilon's arm, which the Fairy Monster then shot at Armed Wing.

 

Faust sighed once again and the Ghost-class Riding Roid pulled up alongside Jasmine "Do you seriously not recognize my voice?" He asked, annoyed "What, do I have to blow up another city block to jog your memory?"

 

"I was going to say the same thing... Basically" Rayos said, squeezing AKI's avatar's hand "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you, AKI, but I promise, it won't happen again."

 

"Funny, she was just telling me that she was stalling some naked girl looking for her clothes." Ilana told Cici "By the way, they're in the washer, downstairs, through the kitchen where Drake's eating his sandwich before he finishes giving Lavax her tuneup. And before you go making baseless accusations, Temptress took it upon herself to clean them, I had no say in the matter."

Cici sighed and curtsied before walking away. "Thank you both for your hospitality." She slipepd downstairs, and peeked into the kitchen, spotting Drake munching on a sandwich. She quietly slinked by, and almost made it to the other side...

...when a board creaked.

 

AKI just rested her head of his shoulder. "I have waited 345 days, 7 hours, 56 minutes, and 12 seconds since my spontaneous reactivation for you to return. Upon awakening, I managed to siphon funds from the Arcadia Movement's ash caches and I now have $169.13 Billion USD in various accounts across the globe. Since this reality is an amalgation of several alternate realities, I thoerize that one version of you must have lived in the apartment where I have been staying in his childhood, but since that Rayos no longer exists, there is no one to remember it. Since I know nothing of your past, I assumed it was your home, and rented it out under a false identity. After we meet with the other Signers, would you...like to retire to your counterpart's abode, now my place of residence?"

"You're not very sneaky Cici, and there's still forty five minutes left until your clothes are washed, so you may as well go back and talk to Ilana." Drake said, not even look at her as he took a drink of his copyrighted carbonated beverage, though unlike Ilana, his wasn't vanilla flavored. He gave Cici an absent wave of his hand and Volcanic Hammerer showed up to almost literally drag her out of the room.

 

"You're asking me to move in with you?" Rayos asked, smiling a little "Sure, of course I will, but only under one condition." He added, holding up one finger for added emphasis.

Cici gave Volcanic Hammerer a look that managed to not only stop the firey entity in its tracks, but also show Drake something quite peculiar...

Cici's eyes weren't purple anymore. In fact, they were more of a dark-bluish hue than anything else.

She then walked away from the stunned creature, and left the kitchen.

 

AKI tilted her head to the side. "And that is?"

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Great, not one, but three crazy girls in my house." Drake muttered to Hammerer, who hopped up on a specially made metal chair and guzzled down his cherry flavored carbonated copyrighted beverage, then burped, and opened up another can by simply stabbing his claw through the top.

 

Ilana let out another appreciative whistle as Cici walked out of the room "Cute eyes." She said, taking a sip of her vanilla flavored copyrighted carbonated beverage and sitting down in a comfortable looking couch, not taking her eyes off of Cici.

 

"Try and figure out someway to make yourself a human form, not just a holographic Avatar." Rayos told AKI "Living with a girl that's seven feet tall and made out of a Duel Runner might attract a little too much attention, don't you think?"

AKI thought for a moment, which was the equivalent of several minutes to her processors, and reluctantly agreed. "I guess you have a valid statement. I promise I will find a better body. One that I acn actually use to touch you."

 

Cici glared at Ilana. "You tell Drake and yourself that only 7 people have ever seen my true eye color, including you two. 5 of them are dead because they tried to use that knowledge against me. Now, I would at least like something to wear until my outfit is ready."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"I didn't say better." Rayos told AKI, "It's scientifically impossible to look better than your Avatar, but yes, being able to actually hug you would be a vast improvement over hugging an Avatar or an admittedly gorgeous Duel Runner in human form." Rayos said, not taking his hand off AKI as they drove around New Domino.

 

"You seriously think Drake and I care what color your eyes are?" Ilana asked "We just spent the past year traveling with some kid that I once saw get beheaded, bend down, reattach his own head, and then scare the living hell out of a really big guy with a Duel Sword. What do you have that can beat that?"

Cici was a bit impressed. "And I take it that you are referring to Master Rayos? Because that is impresive. Please tell me more. And please, could I borrow a T-shirt and some shorts until m clothes are dry? I feel a bit ridiculous with only a towel and my hair covering my body."

 

AKI finally arrived at Drake's house, and she pulled into the backyeard, where she shooed Rayos off of her chassis. The avatar disappeared as AKI transformed into her robot form. "Well, let's not keep the others waiting."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Nope." Ilana said "That's all you get for free. But, if you're so interested in Rayos, and free clothing, perhaps we can organize a bit of a trade." The Laval Duelist asked, smiling at Cici.

 

"I don't know, I think I have a fairly decent argument for keeping them waiting." Rayos said, not even attempting to hide his thoughts from AKI, "But I guess if you're so insistent on going in and interrupting whatever's already going on in there, I have no choice but to follow you."

Cici grinned as a Duel Disk materialized on her left arm. "How about a little Duel? I win, I get clothes, and you tell me about Rayos. Sure, I've looked over his file, but I want to actually know about the young man. What do you want if you win?"

 

"I am actually trying not to read your mind, because that would undermine the trust in our relationship, according to the relationship books that I've read online. Is something wrong with going inside to see the other Signers?"

[Blackstone Dresden]

Ilana whistled again and Temptress appeared with her Duel Disk, which was black with an oblong center and a single blade for her cards "I'll figure that out later." She said, stripping off her coat and tossing it to Cici "That towel's liable to blow off in this Duel, you might wanna borrow my coat." She said, slipping her Duel Disk on her wrist and drawing six cards "I'll go first. Laval Rotating Firewheel in Defense Position, two cards face down, your move." Ilana said as a giant flaming wheel appeared in front of her.

"You burn down my house, you're paying for it." Drake muttered under his breath.

 

"Well, knowing Ilana and women, she probably had Temptress hide Cici's clothes while she was in the shower, which served to piss the mystery girl off, but in trying to scare Ilana, she only managed to get herself pissed off even more since there's pretty much nothing an almost naked girl can do to make Ilana mad. So now they're probably Dueling over some misunderstanding right now." Rayos told AKI "And I'd really rather not be in the middle of that."

[Blackwing-Master]

"I don't believe you can attack on my turn, ol friend. Don't let lies get in the way of your dueling and make you jump the gun because i'm not done yet. You forget about Gale? Well I can use him this turn to half Epsilon's attack power. Now I'll switch Gale to attack, so he can get in on the action. Since my Cold Wave negates spells and traps this turn, i don't have to worry about your traps, not like i would, seeing as how you don't have any. Now Armed Wing, attack Epsilon!"

"I have no clue who you are! All I know is you must have somethiing to do wiht Rayos, since he called you to attack me! Now just tell me who you are!"

Epsilon was ripped in half by Armed Wing, followed by Mark himself when Gale and Blizzard attacked him "Congratulations, old friend." Mark told James with his dying breath, saved only by the fact that his physical organs had no standing in the Spirit World, "You've shown me the truth. You're a monster. A murderer. With any luck, whatever shred of a soul you have left in you will be tormented for all eternity by my death. Vanguard, seal this dimension!" He shouted, before bursting into small shimmers of light, which soon faded away into nothingness.

 

"Rayos did nothing of the sort. You're looking for the Signers, right?" Faust asked, "I'm telling you that if you wait five minutes, I'll take you to one of them."

"I draw, and I play Secret Village of the Spellcasters!" Cici declared.

The walls collapsed around them and a forest sprang up from the empty space, but the giant trees had various huts on them, and the town that was created had a mystical feel to it.

"If I have a Spellcaster, and you don't, you can't activate Spells. On the other hand, if I don't have a Spellcaster, you can activate Spells, even if you don't have one yourself."

"Now I Normal Summon Magical Exemplar in Attack Mode."

A beautiful female magician in green robes walked out of one of the huts and turned to face Ilana. (1700 ATK)

"Next I will activate Arcane Barrier, giving my Exemplar two Spell Counters."

A magical circle was formed around Cici, but two small purple gemstones were formed at the same time as the circle, and they attched onto Exemplar's necklace.

"Now I will activate my Exemplar's effect, allowing me to Special Summon a monster who is LV2 or lower by paying that amount of Spell Counters."

Exemplar placed her hands together, and a green light shined from them as the two Spell Counters shattered. A portal formed, and a purple-clad magician that looked a little unsure came out, then kneeled down. (800 DEF)

"My Apprentice Magician can now place a Spell Counter on each card that can hold one."

Apprentice Magician raised his staff, and a new gemstone appeared on Exemplar's necklace while a gemstone formed in a slot on the barrier.

"Now I will set a face-down card and end my turn."

"I draw. Now, Blast Magician in Defense Position." A sickle wielding Spellcaster appeared in front of the girl "Admittedly not as attractive as Temptress, or you, but hey, he gets the job done. Now, since I can use my Spells, Burning Land to take care of your pathetic village!" Blast Magician's sickle erupted in a massive blaze, which he then lashed out at every single solitary building in the Village "Hey, be gentle!" Ilana shouted "Stop enjoying that so much!" She shouted again "Sadistic @#$%..." After the village was reduced to rubble, she regained her compused "Alright now, for your pathetic Barrier, a Double Cyclone should do the trick, destroying my Burning Land as the cost." Blast Magician conjured up two flaming tornadoes, sending one at Ilana's burning land, returning the Duel to Drake's house, and one to Cici's Arcane Barrier. "And finally, one card face-down, you're up."

"AKI, we really don't wanna go in there." Rayos said just before she opened the door "Ilana's Dueling that one crazy girl, and she get's kinda... mad if you interrupt her when she's Dueling someone." He instead led her to the garage "Can't we just see if Drake's in here? Maybe he'll have some luck at making your Avatar real instead of holographic?"

AKI's eyes lit up. "Abolsutely!" She followed Rayos into the house.

 

"My turn, and your little spells gave me 4 more Spell Counters for my Exemplar." Indeed, four more Spell Counters were around Magical Exemplar's necklace. "And in all of the smoke of your Burning Land, I activated my face-down Knowledge Exchange!"

Activate only when a card with at least 1 Spell Counter on it is destroyed by a card effect. You may draw 1 card for each Spell Counter on the destroyed card. You cannot Normal Summon or Set during your next Main Phase.

 

"I drew a card, and now I will use my Magical Exemplar's effect to Special Summon it onto my field." Magical Exemplar summoned a huge portal, which disgorged a brown-clad masked magician. (1900 ATK)

"Now, I will use my Crusader and attack your Blast Magician."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Your eyes double as flashlights?" Rayos asked, mildly intrigued "You think I woulda caught on to something like that a while ago." He shrugged and held the door open for AKI "Watch your head." He warned, walking into the garage after her and closing it behind them "Drake?" He called, looking around the room, "Huh, he must be... where the hell is he?" He asked, getting a little annoyed by now "Alright, whatever, we can do this right?"

 

"Not so fast." Ilana said as Blast Magician redirected the attack to Firewheel "Laval Blazing Vermilion Barrier! When a FIRE Monster on my side of the field is targeted by an attack, I can redirect that attack to one Laval Monster on my side of the field. Then, I send one Monster card from my deck to the Graveyard, so, counting Firewheel's effect, that makes three more Lavals in my Graveyard." Ilana held her hand in front of her deck and three cards shot out, which she then dumped into he Graveyard "My turn yet?"

[Blackwing-Master]

"Mark, believe what you want. You may think your working for the good side, but your not. Stardust Dragon didn't abandon me like Ancient Fairy Dragon did Tara. It It doesn't matter that i'm locked here anyways, i have a job, and i won't be leaving til it's done, but that doesn't mean an old friend has to pay for my job to be complete. You can lock me here if you want because i'm needed here, and i will find a way to come back." He turned to Pathfinder. "Any chance the rest of the signers are on there way?"

"The girl that was with you has contacted two of them, but none seem to be with her. I'll try to send the message to the signers again." Pathfinder opened 3 vortexs all over the world. "They have five minutes before these vortexs close, and they're locked out."

"Don't worry, if they can't get through, Jasmine will get them."

ooc: the dragon duelist, this is your chance to get in the spirit world.

"Fine, take me to the signer, or signers if that be." SHe started her d-wheel up again, and followed the other d-wheel(er).

[Blackstone Dresden]

There was a ripple in the wall behind James and an unseen portal to the human world silently vanished. "You monster!" Tara shouted at the wall of her, formerly the Shadow Droid's, lair "James and the Signers will all PAY! Heartless monsters! He knew Mark would die but he attacked anyway! James, James, James. I always thought you were on the side of justice, but now I see. You're worse than I am!" She started cackling maniacally as the Shadow Droid machine slowly started coming to life. "You'll pay! You will all DIE!!!"

 

"Jasmine, this is not your fight." Faust told the girl "You're just a human, you don't have any Signer Powers, you're not a Psychic Duelist, you'll just get in the way and get yourself hurt."

[Blackwing-Master]

"Take as long as you need , looks like i'll be here for a while anyways, but i don't care. I have a job to do, even if i don't knwo what it is yet."

"Belive as you must, but i am being entrusted the duty of taking the signers to the sprit world to save it. Don't ask me why, i wasn't told anything, no one will be until all, or at least most, of the signers get there. And besides, i am part of this war. You don't need powers to be helpful, just need to want to help. Now please lead me to the signers you know about." She drove off, hoping the signers will come without much explaination.

[Blackstone Dresden]

Mark's voice whispered around James, though what exactly he said was unintelligible, it was clear that it was indeed him. At the same instant, both Drake's Extra Deck and James' left arm glowed a faint red and Black-Winged Dragon appeared in a glowing sphere in front of James, with Mark's Wing Mark appearing on his arm. Mark's voice again said something unintelligible, and the sphere around the Signer Dragon vanished.

 

"How exactly do you expect to find the Signers? Using that little arrow thing? If it works, we're going to the same place anyway. If it doesn't, well, I guess you're going on a wild goose chase." Faust told Jasmine, driving towards Drake's house.
