He asked, a holographic 5000 appearing next to him, while Aki's Life Point counter read 3500. "You really should have inquired about my Monster's effect. It's pretty simple really. Water has two abilities: It can give life, or it can take it away. So with my Tsunami. When he's Summoned, I gain 1000 Life Points, and, whenever my Life Points are higher than yours, Tsunami deals you damage equal to half the difference." As soon as Aki drew her card, a tidal wave rushed at her, dropping her Life Points to 2750, "You're going to give my girlfriend back to me, or you're going to die! And I really hope you pick the latter!!"

Glow Neos was ripped to shreds, with Glow Moss replacing her, visibly dazed, like a person just waking up from a horrific nightmare, "Who... Where.... What..." She faltered, failing to remain solid, "Why is there a key in my hand..." She muttered dropping a glowing key with a starburst shaped handle onto the ground.

IC:James looked at the glowing pile of goo to the key by it. "You were corupted by Neos, but it's over, and soon, you and all the other duel spirits will be saved from Power of Chaos, and all will go back to normal." He picked up the key and walked out. Hope the others are doing as well as I did, or, hopefully, even better.

Grand Neos started his turn, but then just started crying, and opened up a portal, allowing Jasmine to continue on. He did, however, quickly write a note and give it to her, which read:

However, a shimmering rainbow-colored aura surrounded Aki, protecting her from the tidal wave's damage and instead increasing her Life Points. (Aki: 4250)

"How could you not remember Rainbow Life, Rayos? It's a staple I always have in my deck! My discarding my Rare Metal Dragon, I just changed my damage this turn to an increase!"

Jasmine read the note, then turned to Grand Neos, nodding her head. She took her cards off her duel disk and walked through the portal. I'm not just fighting for me, my friends, or the X-Sabers anymore, but also Grand Neos and his daughter. I will not lose, for I am here to save his land, signer or not. Soon, with the help of the Signers, and Drake, the spirit world shall be free again. She continued to walk through the vortex, ending up at the place were the other Neos wave started. She stayed there, knowing she could not turn back, and that her friends were waiting for her were she could not make it.

Drake looked around the room that Hammerer had melted his way into and sighed, "Great. Water on both sides and a slight but nevertheless annoying as hell trickle of water flowing down from the ceiling..." He tested the water with his finger, "Ice cold." A smile flashed across his face, "Perfect." The Red-Eyes Duelist painfully took off his jacket and shirt, taking a roll of bandages out of the former and dipping the latter in the water. "Hey, Aqua Neos, do me a favor. Wait about two minutes before coming in!" He called to nowhere in particular. He picked his soaked shirt out of the water and ran it down his painfully burned arm, then wrapped it up with the bandages he kept in his jacket, in two parts, one below and one above his elbow, wrung the water out of his shirt as best he could and putting it and his jacket back on. He tested his arm and nodded "Hurts like a b@#$% but I've dealt with worse."

A Dolphin apeared out of the water by Drake. "Greetings, Earthling. I hope you've had a nice stay in the spirit world, excepted your run in with Yubel of coarse, because this is the last time someone will see the spirit world as it currently is, because soon, Neos will morph it as he pleases. Now, I supose you came here to get past me and eventually get to Neos and is guards. Unfortunataly for you, you have to go through me first." The dolphin morphed just slightly as Neos came out of the floor, morphing with the dolphin. "Now, this is the end. You may go first"

"I activate Ancient Rules, Normal Summoning Red-Eyes Black Dragon without Tribute." Drake started, "Then I activate Reload, shuffling my hand in my Deck to Draw three new cards." Drake drew his new cards and smirked, "Now, I activate Inferno Fire Blast and end my turn." He shrugged his shoulder and smirked arrogantly, "Ya know, I should really be the one thanking you. Your lakes were really helpful. My shoulder got messed up during my Duel with Yubel, and I was beginning to think that I'd have to take out two of you little punks with one arm. Not saying I couldn't, of course."

"My turn, and I will activate my Blizzard Dragon's effect again, then remove it from play to Special Summon Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from my hand!"

Blizzard Dragon froze Tsunami, then disappeared in a dark fog, which shifted into a giant black shimmering monster. (2800 ATK)

"Next I will activate Cold Wave, preventing either of us from activating Spell or Trap Cards!"

A chilling gust of cold air encased Rayos' face-downs to ice.

"Now I will Special Summon Rare Metal Dragon from my Graveyard!"

Another metallic dragon, this one without wings and much more spiky, appeared from the dark fog. (2400 ATK)

"Now, my Red-Eyes, attack his Tsunami! Darkness Metal Flare!"

The metallic dragon fired a blast of dark energy at the fallen hero.

"originally, these water were to help the spirits with there pains, oftten used by spellcasters, but enough with the history, draw! I play Future fusion, revealing Elemental Hero Absolute Zero, sending Neos and King of the Swamp to my grave. Now I summon Debris Dragon and use it to revive my King, so I can use it for a synchro summon, tuning Debris and King into Gungnir, Dragon of Ice Barrier. Now I'll use it's effect, discarding one cards to destroy your red eyes. Now my dragon will attack you directly." A blizzard shot out of the dragon's mouth. "I end with a face down card."

"When Tsunami is Destroyed, Elemental Knight is revived." Rayos said as his former favorite Monster appeared on the field, tinted blue, "And, when Elemental Knight is on the Field, Shadow Pariah is revived as well." Rayos' Dark Tuner appeared on the field in a massive breeze that billowed its cloak back, revealing a mass of scars and a stump of an arm.

The dragon swiped at the knight, destroying it.

"Now I will set a face-down monster and end my turn!"

Aki seemed a bit happy that Elemental Knight was now gone, so she asked. "Now what? Your Traps are duds until my next turn, you have a monster with 0 DEF, and very few cards in your hand!"

"I draw and Summon Dark Tuner - Infernal Wanderer in Defense Position." Rayos said as a seconded hooded figure appeared on the field, though unlike Shadow Pariah, this one lowered his hood of his own volition, revealing himself to be Rayos' twin brother and X's true form. "Now I'll activate his effect, Special Summoning Elemental Knight from my Graveyard. Now, I'm Dark Tuning my Elemental Knight and Shadow Pariah! Dark Synchro, Disaster Knight - Earthquake!" A stone golem, vaguely resembling his Tsunami, appeared in front of Rayos, "Now, Earthquake's effect destroys your Darkness Metal Dragon." The foundation of Neos's castle shook with a fury and a large piece of falling debris impaled Darkness Metal Dragon, "Now, Earthquake, destroy Rare Metal Dragon. I end my turn with that"

"Very well, draw! I play O-Oversoul. This allows me to bring back my Neos used for my Fusion, which will be coming next turn." A white uniformed space man appeared out of a purple O. "Now Neos will attack your Red eyes." The space man attacked the black dragon with a blue orb of energy. "Now, I will end my turn. Sir, you keep this up, you won't be able to help your friends, or be destroyed by Neos with them."

IC:James sat around outside the rooms. He heard the rumbling of monster's roars and a small bit of what people were saying. He thought he even heard smashing rocks too. He thought about going ahead of the gang, talke out one of the easy Neos', but decided against it, knowing he was going to get ahead of himself then cause the signers to lose this war. He just sat back, listening to the sounds of duels.

"I draw." Aki declared. "And I Special Summon Timehopper Dragon!"

During your Main Phase 1, you may Special Summon this monster from the top of your Deck. If so, you must Tribute 2 Dragon-Type monsters on your side of the field during your next Main Phase 1. If you cannot, remove this card from play. This monster cannot declare an attack. This monster cannot be destroyed as a result of battle with a monster that was on the field before this monster was Special Summoned. Once per turn, you may remove this card from play to remove another card on the field from play. During your Standby Phase, if this card is in your Removed From Play Zone, Special Summon this card. When this monster is sent to the removed from your side of the field, it is removed from play.

 

A portal of light appeared on the field, and a cyborg dragon with all sorts of futuristic armor flew out, landed on Aki's side of the field, and roared.

"Next I will Normal Summon Axe Dragonute from my hand!"

A large, black-scaled humanoid dragon with a giant axe stomped onto the field.

"Now I can Special Summon my Darkness Metal Dragon from my Graveyard by removing Axe Dragonute from play!"

Axe Dragonute dissolved into darkness, which reformed into REDMD again. (2800 ATK)

"And I will use my Red-Eyes' effect to Special Summon Rare Metal Dragon!"

The familiar shiny dragon reappeared. (2400 ATK)

"My Timehopper Dragon has a unique effect. It can remove itself from play to remove another monster from play, which I will now do."

Timehopper roared again, and emitted a beam of bluish light that surrounded Earthquake. Timehopper then started to glow as well, and both disappeared.

"Now, Rare Metal Dragon, attack his Shadow Pariah! Red-Eyes Darkness metal Dragon, attack him directly!"

Rayos' murderous glare faded away and the poisonous black smoke coming from his body dispersed, "Aki... I won't fight you." He said, "I activate my face-down, Ring of Destruction, sacrificing Earthquake before your Dragon can Remove him." Rayos' Life Points dropped to 2100 just before Rare Metal Dragon and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon attacked him, the latter bringing his Life points down to 0 and incinerating his body to ash, leaving only the half melted Duel Claw in his place.

 

"Well, well, well." Rayos' brother said, reappearing and picking up the half melted Duel Claw, "Father's favorite son finally died. And, just as I suspected, he died like a coward." He grabbed seven cards from Rayos' Extra Deck and three from his Main Deck and threw the rest across the room, scattering the Deck everywhere.

 

"My Phoenix Summons itself back from my Graveyard, and I'll Sacrifice him to Summon Volcanic Hammerer." The Red-Eyes Duelist held up the card he just drew. "Neos, I'm sending you a message." He said, speaking to Rainbow Neos rather than Marine Neos, "The Signers are coming and we're gonna kick your ass. I activate Volcanic Wall, discarding three cards and inflicting 500 points of Damage to you for each Pyro-type Monster sent." Drake drew his first card, "Tri Blaze Accelerator, you're safe this time." He Drew his second and smirked, "Volcanic Rocket." The flaming sentient missile shot towards the Neos and took out a chunk of his Life Points, "Card three. Draw." He pulled the last card and chuckled, "Volcanic Scattershot, go!" The three headed Monster charged Neos again and reduced his Life Points to 600, "Now, to finish you off. Volcanic Hammerer's effect. For every Pyro-type Monster in my Graveyard, I can inflict 200 Points of Damage to you." Volcanics Shell, Rocket, and Scattershot appeared next to Hammerer, who roared something roughly translating to "Charge!" causing his three comrades to finish off the corrupted Hero.

"Open that portal!"

"Never! Ow! My nose!"

Aki had Flare Neos in a headlock and was punching him in the face.

"Open that portal to where Rayos is or your horn gets broken next!"

"You wouldn't!"

Aki grabbed Flare Neos' horn and started to pull on it. A few cracks began to develop at the base.

"Alright, alright! Uncle! Uncle! You win!"

A portal that led to a world of darkness opened up in the lava field, and Aki ran in.

"Thanks!" She cried out as she entered the realm of darkness.

The half-Dark Signer looked around, only to see someone who looked like Rayos take some cards out of Rayos' Deck Box and scatter the rest on the ground.

"Hey!" Aki exclaimed, running over to the man. "What are you doing with my boyfriend's cards?!?"

"You just murdered your boyfriend." Rayos' twin told Aki as the cards he stole expanded into a Deck. "The only thing that can kill my brother and I is my brother and I. When you had your Red-Eyes attack Rayos directly, he was simply committing suicide, using you as the weapon." He held up his demonic Duel Claw and, with visible contempt, crushed Rayos' draconian Duel Claw and throwing it into the wall before vanishing in a burst of smoke, leaving Aki alone with the remnants of Rayos' deck and and artificial arm. The smoke then blew through Rayos' ashes and scattered them everywhere, as if to add insult to injury, before seeping into the floor.

Aki just broke down and sobbed over the shattered Duel Arm and deck, looking through the cards until she found that Rayos' brother had taken the Elemental Knight cards, and at that point cried some more.

Dark Michi and "Aki" appeared through the shadows.

"What's wrong, Aki?" Michi mocked. "Did you lose something?"

"Yeah, 'Hacky'!" "Aki" added, her voice starting to distort, "Did you boyfriend...BREAK UP?!?"

Both evildoers started to laugh as Aki just continued to weep for her lost lover, but Aki noticed that her deck had started to float out of its container, glowing as it did so. Rayos' own cards then glowed and combined with Aki's deck, creating a flash of light. Aki quickly looked through her deck, and was amazed at her new cards.

"Good job." Marine Neos started to fade away. "Even if you are not a signer, you have beaten me. I was always rooting for the signers. Rainbow Neos has changed and comanded us all to do battle with the signers, but, since I gave in right away, he gaven me acsess to NEX, which gave me the form you see here." A key dropped out of his hand. "Please, do this world a favor, defeat Rainbow Neos, and save the spirits." Marine Neos completly disappeared.

Drake nodded to Marine Neos and picked up his key, "Thank you. Your sacrifice will not be in vane, I promise." The non-Signer walked out of the initial room and immediately became aware of just how much his shoulder hurt like hell, "Seriously? Third place?" He asked James and Jasmine, "So, that just leaves Aki, Rayos, and Eli out there, right?" He asked, something not fitting right. After a few seconds thought, he swore under his breath, "Then why can we only hear one Duel right now?"

James went from looking at his cards, to looking around the room, noticing Drake and Jasmine had entered. "Wernt did you get... Never mind. Yes they're the only ones left. Funny how the non-signers get done before most of the signers, myself being the exception. I wonder what's taking them so long. Where the rest of the Neos' really that tough?"

"I got off easy. Grand Neos gave up before his second turn because I reminded him of his daughter." Jasmien looked through her deck, noticing one card that was not there before, Grand Mole.
