Aki placed her hand on Rayos' shoulder. "I won't let you kill yourself for me. If you die, I'll kill myself as well." The Signer/Dark Signer hybrid hung her head. "I waited a year for you to return to me, a long, long year where I spent every single picosecond of my existence thinking about you and how we were going to be together." Now she was crying. "I became separated from you, and longed to find you again, and now that we are once again reunited, you are talking of leaving me forever?!?" She grabbed a hold of him and started sobbing into his shirt. "I won't let you leave me again!"

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Aki, I love you, Drake is the closest thing I have to a brother, and he considers James and Jasmine two of his closest friends, and Eli just found his mother." He pulled the former cyborg close to him, "I can't let any of you die. Besides that, in the time we were apart, I died more times than I care to count. I always came back." He chuckled, "Aki, if I can survive decapitation, I can survive a couple Neoses." He walked up to one of the doors and nodded, punching a hole through it where the handle used to be and kicking it in, though it mysteriously resealed itself as soon as he walked into the room.

 

Drake saw Rayos' display and chuckled, "That kid sure as Hell knows how to make an entrance." He said, trying out the door he planted himself in front of. "Locked. Heh, fine." He muttered, "Hammerer, do what you do best." The flaming draconian golem nodded and ripped the door off its hinges, though it too resealed behind him.

[Blackwing-Master]

"I don't need much to take you out. I'm fighting for my fellow signers and there's no way I'll betray them by losing to scum like you. Draw! I Summon Mistrial the Silver Shield in defense, and chain MY Torrential Tribute, destroying all our monsters. Seems odd, right. Wrong cause I play Starlight Road, allowing me to negate my own Torrential Tribute and bring out my Stardust Dragon, which is not synchro summoning, so discard can't do anything about it. Next I play Assault Mode Activate, turning my dragon to it's Assault Mode, Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode! Now, Attack his Iron Hammer! Assault Sonic!" The dragon with a blue armor on shot a light beam at the opponents monster. "I'll end my turn."

Jasmine looked around in the bare room. Nothing but a door on each side of the room, the one she came in through, and the one she hoped to come out of.

Aki, Michi, and Itsu found themselves the only ones left.

"Well, I guess this is goodbye, at least until Bryce rears his ugly head."

Itsu hugged Aki, who was a bit shocked.

"And that was for?" Aki asked, puzzled.

Itsu pulled out of the hug, tears in her eyes.

"Aki, I'm sorry for what happened last time. I should have taken better care of you, or at least used the amulet to revive you instead of get revenge on creation. I would hate to see what I would do if Damian was killed..."

This time, Aki put her hand on Itsu's shoulder, smiling at her counterpart.

"Don't beat yourself with it. You may still have this darkness inside of you, but you also have light, and tons of it. You care about people, and you want to make the multiverse a better place. You may have helped create this mess, but at least you want to use your powers to fix it and make things better than before."

Itsu was now sobbing, and the two embraced again.

"You really know how to forgive a lonely interdimensional troubleshooter."

"Of course I do." Aki replied, tears also coming down her face. "I'm the larger portion of you."

Itsu used part of Aki's coat to wipe her eyes, then regained her composure.

"By the way, I couldn't help but notice your dark eye. How did you get that?"

"Your little friend Cici tried to convert a friend of mine, so I used a variation of the same trick you used to become Izumi. Fortunately, you managed to get Rayos to help me finish my conversion."

"I'll add that to my list of things to do in the past." Itsu replied as she faded from existence. "You two take care now."

"I will." Aki replied as her counterpart vanished.

Aki stepped for her door, then turned back to Michi, who had been watching all of this.

"You coming?"

"I will. Just give me a few minutes." Michi was blowing her nose and wiping away the tears.

"Alright." Aki replied as she opened her door, then closed the infernal landscape behind her shut.

Michi suddenly shifted from sobbing to smirking as she crept over to Rayos' door and opened it, following him inside.

"Hello, Rayos." Michi sinisterly greeted the startled duelist as she approached him in a shadowy abyss. "I will be your opponent today."

"Yawn, really?" Glow asked, "I Activate Tuning Barrier. Now, for three turns, as long as a Tuner is on the field or in the Graveyard, you can't attack." Stardust's attack was stopped dead in its tracks by Breeze, who then landed on Glow's shoulder, "Oh, isn't this a cute little bird?" She asked, scratching its chin and cooing cutely at the bird, "So, is that it, or do you insist on fighting me?"

 

Rayos was, in fact, far from startled. "I knew you were a murdering traitorous @#$%, Michi." He said, his orange eyes flashing with hatred, "Or should I say Neo Spacian Dark Panther?" He asked, "I was actually starting to trust you. I should have known better, though. No one could possibly be that stupid." He paced to the opposite side of the room and six cards shot from his Duel Claw into his flesh hand, "Heh, so, I guess Itsu was right. One of our group is going to die." A black cloud surrounded Rayos, "I Summon Elemental Knight and equip him with Scroll of Bewitchment, making him a WATER type." An armored human appeared in front of Rayos, followed by a long scroll that turned his gunmetal gray armor ice blue, "Now, Armor Change! The eyes of a Knight are as cold as ice. The enemy trembles beneath his gaze. Transformation Summon! Go, Nature Knight - Frost Fighter!" However, unlike every other time, Rayos didn't fuse with his Monster. "Huh... Weird..."

"No, not Dark Panther. Well, not exactly. Win against me, and I will explain." "Michi" replied as she activated her own Duel Disk.

"I draw, and I play B.E.S. Assault Core in Defense Mode!"

A small spaceship exited a portal that has suddenly appeared. (2000 DEF)

"I set 2 cards, then I activate Boss Rush before I end my turn!"

A huge screen popped up in front of Rayos that said "Boss Rush Mode Selected" before changing to "Game Start!".

"I don't think so. By tributing Stardust/AM, I can negate the activation of your card and destroy it." Breeze disappeared after Stardust wrapped itself around the card, destroying both the dragon and the trap. "Now, once I end my turn, Stardust comes back, and I end my turn now." The dragon reappeared, armor and all. "It's your move."

Aki was now walking around in an infernal landscape, looking for her opponent.

"Hello? Anyone here?"

 

Meanwhile, Cici was regaining consciousness, only to find herself in the air being carried by Yubel.

She then remembered their child, the one she had found out was alive and well, and had taken in Jack's old burden.

She mused on this for a second.

She then got focused again as she shook her head.

Wiraqocha Rasca suddenly appeared and dived towards Yubel.

Suddenly, a huge flare erupted from a nearby magma-filled crater, and an insectoid warrior leapt out in front of Aki.

"I am Flare Neos, and I am your opponent!"

"Really? Nothing dramatic or anything? No sort of trials? Just 'duel me'?"

"Why not?"

"Just seems a bit rushed."

Both Aki and Flare Neos then look at the reader, then back at each other.

"Whatever. I'll duel you."

"Ladies first!"

Jasmine looked around the room again. Still nothing. "Since there is no Neos, I should just be able to get out." She ran to the door and tried to open it. Locked. She ran to the door she cam in through. Locked. "Great, now how Am I going to get out?" She unhooked here duel disk from her D-wheel and threw a card on it. "X-Saber Airbellum, slice through the door."

"Yes Ma'am." the lion with huge claws replied, clawing at the door, but not even leaving a scratch.

Jasmine threw another card on her duel disk, Harpie Queen. "Help Airbellum out."

"I'll try." The harpie started clawing at the same door as Airbellum, but still not even a scratch on either door. "I'm sorry Jasmine, I couldn't be of any help."

"It's fine." She took the cards off her duel disk and watched as they disappeared. "Now what?"

As she asked that, a huge bronze fist erupted from the door, grabbed Jasmine, and dragged her in. Inside was a massive cavern with tons of tunnels leading all over the place, and Jasmine landed on the cold hard stone floor.

Standing in front of her was a huge armored warrior with a drill on his right arm and the fist on the other: Grand Neos.

"Welcome to my humble abode! Now, are you ready to be imprisoned down here and work in my minds forever?"

"When I win against you, you won't explain a thing." Rayos said, pointing to a side of the wall just to the right of Michi's head "You're going to be painting that wall a nice crimson." A card shot into his flesh hand and he smirked, "I Summon Elemental Hero Avian activate my Monster's effect. Now, Frost Fighter, freeze her far left Monster card zone. And, to conclude, I'll set two cards and end my turn."

"My White Out prevents your Stardust Dragon's effect" Glow said as James' Signer Dragon was surrounding by a flurry of ice and shoved the armored monster across Neo Space, "You can't target cards, meaning that you can't use his effect to negate my Tuning Barrier." She laughed, "You're precious Stardust is useless before my White Out!" She drew her new card and laughed, "Hail, destroy his Bora the Spear!" She shouted as her White Warrior's hammer crushed James' Blackwing, "Now, Hail's effect activates! Destroy Stardust Dragon!"

 

"Go back to sleep, you worthless little peon." Yubel said, batting away Wiraqocha like an uppity pixie, then casually throwing Cici at the wall of the Neos war room "You're a trophy. Trophies don't talk!"

Flare Neos motioned to the infernal landscape.

"We're dueling in Molten Destruction, in case you haven't noticed."

"Oh."

"Well, I'm going to attack you."

"But I counter with Dimensional Prison, removing your monster from play!

"Fine! I end by setting 2 face-down cards!"

Now I summon Sirrocco the Dawn, who can be normal Summoned when you control a monster and I don't. Now I can Search my deck with Black Whirlwind." The feathers appeared around Sirrocco, reaveliong a card from them. "I'll add Ghibli to my hand. Now, since I don't have a tuner in my grave, I can attack with Sirrocco. to your Hail." The bird man ripped Hail into shreds. "Now I'll set a card and end."

Jasmine brushed the dirt off herself from her 'fall'. "That's what I'm here for." She detached her duel disk from her d-wheel and put her deck into it. I won't let you down. "You can go first."

"I draw." Rayos said, smirking again, "First, I'll use my Polymerization, fusing my Elemental Heroes Avian and Burstinatrix into Flame Wingman." Rayos grinned as a green Hero with a dragon head for an arm appeared next to Frost Fighter, "Frost Fighter, lock up a second space." The blue armored Warrior leaped into the air and stabbed his trident into the ground beside Armored Core, freezing it, "Now I Activate my Element Change, Transforming my Frost Fighter into Nature Knight - Boulder Bouncer." Frost Fighter's sea serpent motif armor was replaced by stone with a dinosaur motif, "Now, Boulder Bouncer, take care of her Armored Core!" He shouted as the golem slammed Armored Core into the air, bouncing its card back into Michi's hand, "Your Boss Rush card doesn't protect against that, does it?" He asked, "Flame Wingman, Boulder Bouncer, kill this miserable b@#$%!"

 

Fog's shield blocked Sirocco's attack and Glow smiled, "I activate my Spell Card White Wall. When a White Warrior on my side of the field is attacked, I can change the Attack target to another White Warrior on my side of the field. And, since my White Warrior's DEF equals your Blackwing's ATK, you just wasted a move. Congratulations, I'm still going to kill you."

Michi was struck by the attacks, and hurdled into the shadows, but then she reappeared, this time naked except for a few strategically-placed tendrils of shadow. She opened her eyes to reveal two pools of pure black, then started to laugh evilly as the shadows encircled her, covering her body as she gained in size. The formerly small, petite girl shifted into a shadowy, buxom form that sprouted two wings as details started to grow out of the form. Eventually, Michi had turned into a beautiful, female version of Dark Neos, complete with flowing white hair behind her feline helmet.

"It's so good to be back in this form." The creature that was once Michi purred, the girl's voice now sounding sultry and mature, yet with a little it of a bestial undertone. "My master, Neos, rejected Meata for being too good, so he took Alius and I with him, and granted us new forms. He merged me with his trusted spy, Dark Panther, so I could watch over his old base in case anyone tried to find it. Alius is now Neos Knight, and is waiting for you past here, if you can defeat me. But now, after spying on you two, I have learned your one weakness!"

Dark Michi turned back to the shadows.

"Come on out, Aki!"

A figure stepped out of the shadows, which was revealed to be a nude Aki, this time with both of her sclera darkened and wisps of shadows surrounding her naughty bits. Dark Michi gathered more shadows, and created a revealing catsuit for Aki.

"Now, Aki, just after everyone left, I confronted you, didn't I?"

"Yes, Michi. You told me of Neos' true plans, and how Itsu was so wrong. You said that, if I defeated Rayos, I would be accepted a place in the new universe Neos was planning to create."

"And you accepted my offer of your own free will, right?"

"I'm technically already dead, so if I make Rayos into a Dark Signer like myself, we can be together forever, ruling alongside Neos and his companions!"

"See, Rayos? If you surrender right now, you can have Aki and rule with Neos! I even have proof that this is the real Aki!"

Aki looked through her deck, and pulled out a card that depicted a black-armored BEWD.

"This is Malefic Blue-Eyes White Dragon, the card that Itsu gave to me."

"So, will you join us and get Aki forever?"

"Please, Rayos. I want to be with you forever!"

[Blackstone Dresden]

Rayos burst out laughing so much that his sides actually hurt, "Do... do you think I'd fall for that?" He asked, composing himself with no small effort, "Either that really is Aki, in which case I'm going to kill you and Neos Knight, and every other godd@#$ed Neos that I can get my hands on to free her, or it's just a clone, in which case I'm going to kill you and get the real Aki back. Your pathetic tricks won't stop me." He laughed again, "Hell, I'm IMMORTAL, I don't need to turn into a Dark Signer to spend eternity with Aki, I haven't found a method yet that would kill me, and heh, believe me, people have tried." Rayos sighed and his Duel Claw shimmered briefly, "Now, either disperse your pathetic clone or give Aki back. If you don't, well, I'll just have to make you suffer until you give in."

Dark Michi simply wagged her finger at Rayos. "You want Aki, you will have to duel her for it."

Dark Michi generated a X-shaped device out of shadows and held it a few feet above Aki. Dark strings descended from it, and the strings connected to the cyborg, making her suddenly lose all rigidness. Essentially, Dark Michi had turned Aki into a living marionette.

"Now, should we go first, or you?"

 

Grand Neos generated a Duel Disk. "Alright! I draw, and I play a face-down monster, then I will activate Double Summon, allowing me to Set another monster. I will end by setting 2 face-downs."

X stepped out of the shadows behind Rayos and smiled, "My brother would never hurt the one he loves." X told Michi, "That's always been Rayos' curse. He can't see the forest through the trees. He refuses to murder a signal innocent in order to save everything." The hybrid raised his demonic Duel Claw and plunged it through Rayos' heart, "Ah, yes, there I am..." X said as another Rayos appeared, this one with messy sandy blond hair and cloudy purple eyes, as opposed to Rayos' and X's black hair and orange eyes, though the newest copy didn't have a mechanical arm. He just had a stump. "There I am." X said, slowly turning into a black sludge, "I've unlocked the madness in Rayos' mind, and freed my physical form from his subconscious as well. He should have no trouble murdering you both." And with that, Shadow Droid Model X turned into a cloud of black smoke, his demonic Duel Claw clattering to the ground with a thud.

 

Rayos' brother's eyes snapped into focus and he stepped over to where the Droid's arm lay. "A name..." He mused, picking up the arm and attaching it to his own stump, "Pain... It's been a while since I felt that one... Or cold." He added, the black smoke forming into intricately decorated Duel Runner leathers, matching the demon theme on his arm seamlessly. He then took one look at Aki, Michi, and Rayos and chuckled, "Ah, murderous rage. There you are, old friend." And with that, Rayos' twin brother, his real twin brother, vanished.

Dark Michi and Aki just stood there, wondering what had just happened.

Aki suddenly started moving towards Rayos to help him out, but Dark Michi's string's wouldn't let her.

"Let me go! This isn't what we agreed on!"

"You're under my control, now! Besides, he said he was immortal, so why should you worry?"

Aki opened her mouth to speak, but gave up, and resumed her place and regained her dueling stance.

"Alright, but the rest of my turn remains. I set a card and end my turn. Trust me, one way or another, I will continue on to defeat you, and Rainbow Neos."

"I draw! I Summon X-Saber Palomuro in defense. I'll set a card and end my turn." The armored lizard appeared on the field holding a small spear in a position as if to defend himself with it.

"Michi. I'm going to kill you." Rayos said, his Signer Mark glowing painfully, so much so that Aki, Eli, and James all heard the pained roars of the Crimson Dragon in their heads. "I Summon Elemental Knight and activate The Curse of the Heroes!" A demonic shadow appeared around Rayos' arm and a malicious cackling echoed throughout the room from that shadow, "I Remove from Play the top five cards in my Deck and Special Summon one Monster from my hand whose level equals the total levels of the Monsters I Removed." Five cards shot into Rayos' Duel Claw and he casually threw them to the ground, revealing them as Bladedge, Armor Change, two Polymerizations, and Avian. "Perfect. Level 7 and Level 3." The shadows around Rayos' grew out and formed into agonized shadows of the two Heroes, "Now. I Special Summon the Level 10 Dark Tuner - Shadow Pariah!" A tall humanoid in a black cloak appeared beside Elemental Knight. "Now, I'm Dark Tuning my Elemental Knight and my Shadow Pariah! Come forth, Disaster Knight - Tsunami!" Elemental Knight roared in agony and turned into a blue water demon with two blades shooting out its forearms, "I'll set all my other cards face-down and end my turn."

Glow Neos smiled and drew another card from her Deck "I Summon White Warrior - Snow the Rope Dart and Equip him with Spirit Burner!" Yet a third Romanesque Fairy appeared on the field, surrounded by a glowing rune carved circle, "Snow's Attack jumps up 100 points for every card on the field." The Roman Fairy's ATK jumped from 0 to 1100, "Now, Snow's effect. Attack James' Life Points Directly! Turn End.""

A sudden gust sent all of Dresden's face-downs back to his hand.

"Now I will Normal Summon Blizzard Dragon in Attack Mode!"

A blue dragon with wings on its arms roared at Tsunami. (1800 ATK)

"Now I will freeze your Tsunami with Blizzard Dragon's effect!"

Blizzard Dragon emitted a white mist that encased Tsunami in a block of ice.

"Now I will set 2 face-down cards and end my turn!"

"When you attack directly, I can special summon Ghibli from my hand, the same one I searched with Black Whirlwind. Now I draw! I summon Shura the Blue Flame and use Black Whirlwind to search Bora. I'll Special Summon my Bora to the field. Now I'll use Ghibli's effect, swapping is attack and defense points for the turn. Next, using Sirrocco's effect, I add the attack of all my Blackwings to Bora, who, with his big spear, can pierce right through your monster's defense and inflict damage to you. Attack Bora! Destroy his Fog and end this duel." The bird with a big spear ripped right through the defensive monster straight to Glow Neos.
