Inti was destroyed in a massive red flame as Eli gained Dark Signer Markings on his face, which quickly faded. "I never had any intention of controlling you, Eli. I simply wished for this world to continue existing. You have my word that your mind shall be free from my influence. It is the control of Scar-Red Nova himself that you must fight but, as I have said, you are the one human capable of defeating him." Bryce's Dia Dhanks retracted into their twin bladed form and he returned to his corpse-like state, his Dark Signer robes being replaced by his old clothes. "I'm assuming you know full well what must happen for you to become a Dark Signer." He stated, placing one hand on the Signer's left shoulder.

[The Dragon Duelist]

He looked at him. "For me to become a Dark Signer I must Die..." He looked at him as if he was unaffraid of the darkness. "But my spirit is stronger then you will ever know... I will never be corrupted by darkness." His dueldisk retracted itself as his mark faded lightly. "I will never make the mistakes Rex Goodwin or Kalin Kessler made... I will control the powers of both the Crimson Dragon.. and yours... King of the Netherworld..."

[Blackstone Dresden]

A sharp stabbing pain shot through Eli's left arm as the Serpent Mark carved itself into his entire arm, "Except, because you're already in the Spirit World, you're dead enough for my purposes." The pain receeded and the Mark of the Serpent appeared on Eli's arm, glowing purple, "Eli, you now have the power your deck, Mark, and Dragon desired. Do not expect that it will come free." And with that, the King of the Netherworld vanished, like he was never even there.

 

Meanwhile, a couple dozen yards away, Rayos was alive but unconscious.

[The Dragon Duelist]

He stood there for a moment knowing that he would one day pay for the power he was given. "I will spend my life protecting everyone." He smirked before dashing towards the one who was unconcious. "King of the Netherworld.. I know it will not be free, but you won't take anything important from me!" He ran as fast as he could stopping as he reached the man. "Are you alright?" He looked down at him kneeling down to check on him. "Come on.. .wake up."

Rayos let out a shout of pain as the Tail Mark of the Dragon etched into his Duel Arm, or rather Duel Claw, started smoking, heating up the metal his Claw was made of, and by extension burning his elbow "What the Hell?!" He shouted, his eyes transforming into the WATER-Attribute symbol, kanji and all, while his flesh hand froze and he started rubbing his Duel Claw, trying to cool it down, "Dude, I'm up, I'm up, you didn't have to freaking burn me!" He shouted at Eli, "Jesus, I was having a nice dream too... Actually, it was a terrible dream... Well, the end may have explained some stuff, but SOMEONE had to go and wake me up!" He continued like that for a few more seconds until he saw that both of Eli's arms were glowing, "OK, wait, what did I miss?" He asked, looking him in the face, "OK, so you're the Napping Kid, nice to meet you, why do you have two Marks on your arm? Did something happen to that LIGHT Duelist that was pissing Elem off so much?"

[The Dragon Duelist]

Eli quickly told the strange kid about the duel telling him how he ended up dueling the King of the Netherworld and won. He also explained how he is now both a Signer and a Dark Signer. "Well... that about explains it." He looked down at his arm. "Are you a signer like me?" He raised his brow a bit curious not really knowing if he was like him. He looked up hearing a loud roar from his dragon. "Calm down..." He looked to the sky seeing his dragon before he looked back down.

Rayos' Claw soon started to cool down and he breathed a sigh of relief "Well, yeah, sorta." He said, showing Eli the Tail Mark branded on his metal prosthesis, "I suppose I'm a Signer, kinda." He said, "Not really sure what to think, it's carved into this thing, instead of into my arm itself." He shrugged "Anyway, what's a Dark Signer?" He asked, despite the fact that almost everyone in New Domino saw Goodwin's Duel which, coupled with some internet surfing, should have more or less explained everything that a Dark Signer is, "I've been working with the Signers since the Sun and Moon fiasco but I've never heard a thing about the Dark Signers."

[The Dragon Duelist]

Eli scratched his head as he explained the story of the Dark Signers when they first invaded New Domino City, but he mentioned thatg he was still working with the signers. He sighed as he looked at his outfit. After a moment Eli stood up. "Alright.. it is time we move out... We need to find the others soom." He started to move towards the clearing he just dueled at. "We can ride on the back of Red Dragon Archfiend."

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

"The Dark Signers are a group of duelists similar to the Signers." Cici explained, getting up as the Earthbound Immortals placed themselves on her body, showing that she had accepted them, but, around each one was a circular ring with more hexagonal etching inside. Her eyes were now purple, but she didn't need her necklace. "The normal Signers use the Five Dragons, whereas the Dark Signers use the Earthbound Immortals, monsters that opposed the Signers and the Crimson Dragon. The Crimson Dragon and its offspring opposed the Immortals and defeated them, sealing them into the Nazca Lines thousands of years ago, until the Zero Reverse event unleashed them again. They have been in a state between waking and sleeping since the King was defeated by Yusei years ago, but our mutual friend has ressurected them, and grafted them into me, which is...interesting..."

[Blackwing-Master]

"Oh, that thing!" James thought about it and remembered the black sludge monster thing heading towards Yusei's duel. He shivered thinking about it coming back. "Well..." James' signer mark glowed so bright it was almost blinding as Eli summoned Scar-Red Nova Dragon. "Th.. this light." The light engulfed James, teleporting him back into his body. He snapped out of his unconious state and jumped up with a scared expression on his face. "What... happened?" James looked down to make sure he was not a spirit anymore. Thew!

[Ace Daimon]

Just then, a hand placed itself on James' back.

"What's up, Jimmyboy?" Melvin asked as he walked up next to the Signer. He had a container of popcorn in his hand, and was eating it. "You know, Jimmyboy, I was just thinking. I haven't hugged someone in ages, and I was wondering if you wanted to have a little fun, because this beat it sick."

Fortunately, Melvin had no intention of riding on James' disco stick, but he then walked away from the Signer, turned on his heel, and activated his Duel Disk.

"If I win, I get to hug you. How about that, Jimmyboy?"

Rayos looked at Cici and Eli and his eyes changed, not resembling any of the six Attribute Symbols. His Duel Claw similarly shapeshifted, with his Tail Mark sprouting into a Duel Disk and another, smaller, copy sprouting into a Wrist Dealer, which soon filled itself with five cards, "Eli, if you're low enough to ally yourself with scum like Cici, then I'm challenging you to a Duel, with the winner taking the loser's Signer Dragon. I'm sure that's something like your goal, isn't it, traitor?"

 

Bryce and X, meanwhile, appeared next to Melvin and Cici, respectively.

 

"Melvin, Melvin, Melvin." Bryce said, shaking his head, "Didn't you already hug one of my men to death early today, when you were delivering Whorebiscuit's pet to X? I think being hugged once a day is enough, so, if you win this Duel, no hugging tomorrow."

 

X, meanwhile, said nothing, but he did take a note of the Serpent Mark appearing on Eli's arm and the Tail Mark-shaped Duel Disk and Wrist Dealer on Rayos' Claw. Interesting Dueling Device you've got there.

[Blackwing-Master]

James looked to Melvin, then to Bryce, who scared him more than Melvin. That, guy dueling the RDA holding Signer... James took a few steps back and activated his duel disk. "I'll duel you, but you need to tell me more about your evil plans." James slipped a deck into his duel disk and activated it. Then looked back to Jasmine, trying to tell her to stay away.

Jasmine backed away, looking at the guy with the gold staff who wanted to "hug" James, then to James himself, noticing the look on his face. I think James is getting a bad feeling about these guys.

[The Dragon Duelist]

He glared at the kid. "Shut it! We are trying to save this world!" He stood up looking at him. "I made a deal with the Devil just to save this world!" He took his deck out of his duel disk and put it away. "I will never put Red Dragon Archfiend up for a wagor and anyone who would do that to their partner is pathetic!" All of his marks began to glow brightly. "Never talk to me like I am scum when you are acting lower then that!"

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

Cici stepped in front of Eli, holding him back. "I'm sorry Rayos, but while Eli is isn't expendable, I am. If I lose, I'll just come back from the grave. Sure, it'll hurt like a b***h, but that's taking one for the team, right?"

She activated her Duel Disk. "Besides, you're gonna love my new Deck."

 

Meanwhile, Aki and Michi watched as Dark Lucuis watched Dokurorider ride off into the sunset, wondering when the giant fiend would let them by.

[Blackstone Dresden]

Rayos closed his eyes and Spirit of Nature, Elemental Knight, Elemental Hero Avian, and Sparrow the Battlestorm appeared surrounding him. "I would never wager my partners." He told Eli, "These three," He looked behind him and noticed Sparrow, "Four? Wait, who exactly are you and how long have you been freeloading in my soul?"

 

Sparrow sighed and introduced himself, "My name is Sparrow the Battlestorm. I'm one half of Dragon Knight Draco-Legio, together with your Signer Dragon, Black-Winged Dragon, and I'm your newest Spirit Partner."

 

"Oh, right, welcome to the family, I'm sure one of the others will give you the grand tour of my soul if they haven't already." Rayos said, finally getting around to Cici "OK, fine, I'll duel you. My Black-Winged Dragon against Eli's Red Dragon Archfiend. Sound fair?"

 

Dark Lucius, meanwhile, devolved into his LV4 form and looked the two girls in the eye, "Signer, you are free to pass. Lord Rainbow Neos has issued a free pass to all Signers, until you have the misfortune of encountering one of his subordinate Neoses. Spirit, kneel before me and beg for your life."

[The Dragon Duelist]

He yelled out. "You will never get my dragon!" Red Dragon Archfiend landed behind him roaring. It was instantly obvious that Red Dragon Archfiend would never obey anyone else. "Do you even understand what it means to give up a parnter? To loose one? I will never wagor Red Dragon Archfiend." He crossed his arms as his marks glew brighter.

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

Cici facepalmed herself. "That's exactly why I'm stepping in for you, you imbecile!" She replied, angrily, as she shoved Eli aside. "I'm the one who can die and come back to life as many times as I wish. You aren't!"

 

Aki b***h-slapped Dark Lucuis across his cheek. "Back off! Michi's under my protection, and if you try to lay a finger on her, you'll have to go through me!"

[Blackstone Dresden]

"If he wants to Duel, then it's his decision." Rayos stated as Black-Winged Dragon flew down and latched itself onto Red Dragon Archfiend's back, "Come on. You don't honestly expect me to believe you're really a Signer, do you? You're a fake. A crook. A thief. You're nothing." A shimmering blade of light grew from his flesh hand, "You're just scum, worthless, useless, annoying scum."

 

Dark Lucius kicked Aki square in the ribs and sent her flying though, thanks to Spirit World physics, nothing was broken or bruised, though it did hurt like hell. "Leave, Signer, or I will gladly go through you if it means getting back to my Masters. It was a brilliant idea of Lord Rainbow Neos to fuse my soul with that of a Shadow Droid, especially one as powerful as X, the only Shadow Droid born of a nonhuman."

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

Aki got back up, and dusted the dirt off of her leather. "Alright, then. If that's the way you wanna play, let's dance!"

But Michi stopped Aki from activating her Duel Disk. "Onee-chan, I wanna duel too. I mean, I was the one that he targeted, and so I don't want you to stand up for me. I want to take him on myself."

"How about a compromise? We duel him together."

"Deal."

They both prepared their Duel Disk for combat.

 

Lucius: 8000 LP

Michi: 4000 LP

Aki: 4000 LP

 

Cici still had her hand on her Duel Disk. "How about we have two against one? You get 8000, we each get 4000."

[The Dragon Duelist]

He glared at him. "I will not fight a fellow signer." He shown him his mark which was glowing brightly. "I was given Red Dragon Archfiend by Jack Atlas himself.. I will never wagor him as long as I live." He looked at the other signer with a sign of pity in his eyes. "Anyone who would put their partner up for a wagor doesn't deserve to call themselves a Signer."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Anyone who would back down from a challenge doesn't deserve to call themselves a Duelist." Rayos shot back, "Besides that, you probably stole the Deck from Jack Atlas anyway, you didn't earn it. You didn't put your heart into it. You just got it and left it as is. You're the same as every other person that saw the King on dueling and built a deck around his own Deck. You just didn't have that issue, you just took the deck from his hands, probably as he lay dying too." He then turned to Cici, "This thief is obviously too scared to risk losing his precious stolen Dragon, and you're not mine to fight, I don't want Ilana to lose the option of..." He stopped talking as he saw X, "You!" He shouted, the glowing golden energy growing up his arm, "I killed you!"

 

"It didn't take, father." X said, grinning, "Hey, Cici, instead of you two Dueling him, we could have some real fun. What's the name of that C3 Agent that got his entire force murdered because he refused to surrender? We could have him come in as Rayos' partner, and I could step in for you or Eli."

 

Dark Lucius closed his eyes and Dark Grepher appeared beside him, "Brother, shall we?"

 

"We're under strict orders. We can't kill Signers." Grepher reminded him.

 

"Fine, so if the Signer and the traitor win, we let the next guys deal with them?" Lucius suggested

 

"Sounds like a plan." The Dark counterpart agreed, both of them activating their Dark World Duel Disks.

[The Dragon Duelist]

He glared at him sliding his deck into his duel disk. "I will duel you, but I refuse to put up my partner. Don't believe that this deck is mine? I will proove it!" He held his duel disk up glaring at you. "And I will win in four turns!" All three of his marks glew brightly as he drew five cards. "I owe Jack Atlas my life, and he told me himself that if I let anyone insult me he will never forgive me. I will let you start, but I will never bet my precious card!"

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

Cici shot a murderous glare at X. "I already killed you once, Don't make me do it again." She then smirked at Rayos. "Congratulations. You've had the honor of killing me. So have many, many others. Every time I die, I just come back to life. The only way I will die is if I complete my mission, which has been altered slightly thanks to Bryce." She drew 5 cards as well. "Now, should ladies go first, or will one of you have the balls to start us off?"

"Name one modification you made to your precious stolen Deck." Rayos challenged, "Just one, name one card you added to your stolen deck. You're a fraud, fighting with someone else's deck just because you're too incompetent to build your own." Rayos' Duel Claw's Duel Disk and Wrist Dealer folded back into itself, "You're not worth my time, scum."
