Cici's image flashed across Rayos' mind "Itsu, I don't have any idea what you're talking about. I've never been in any War. I haven't seen you since you went murderously insane after AKI died. Now, tell me one more time, and be more detailed: what the HELL happened to my girlfriend, how can I find and kill Cici for doing that to her, and why shouldn't I kill you where you stand?" The flames on his flesh hand traveled up his arm as he spoke, so that when he said 'stand' his entire forearm was blazing red hot. "And please note that the only reason you're still alive is because you're the second evil @#$%& to mention a war to me today, and thus may be my only link to my past."

"Jasmine, if you were going easy on me, I would have won by now." Drake said, drawing a card from his Deck "I'm sorry, but this Duel ends now." Drake told Jasmine, "I activate the Spell Card Spell Reproduction, Removing from Play every Spell Card in my Graveyard to add one to my hand. Guess which one I choose." He smirked and added Inferno Fire Blast to his hand. "Now, I activate the Spell Card Inferno Fire Blast!"

"I see..." Itsu seemed to notice something odd about Rayos. "The Great Reset after the Paradox War must have altered your memory, so I will explain. After I went insane, and killed all of the Sun Kings and Moon Queens, we had a very epic duel, which turned out to be a draw. This universe was destroyed, but you managed to be saved by a man named Sarin, who brought you to the Nexus to fight against me and the armies of Paradox, a psychopath who wanted to rebuild the multiverse in his own image. We clahsed across space and time, until Damian Atlas, my love from my home reality, along with a descendant of his from an alternate future, managed to knock some sense into me, and allowed me to change sides. We all fought Paradox and his lieutenants, and in an epic 10-on-1 duel, we destroyed him, once and for all, and saved the multiverse..."

She bowed her head.

"Or so I thought."

"Some of Paradox's forces were returned to their homes. Others were forced into a special prison for all eternity. Due to my unique status as turncoat, I was given a Herculean task: right the wrongs I have done."

"Think of the multiverse as a river, with time flowing down stream towards the future, and think of these different realities as currents in the river. Some are bigger and stronger than others, while some are tiny, yet keep secrets. What Paradox and I essentially did was throw giant rocks into this river, tryng to right the course and merge all of these tiny currents into one big current. We changed the river of the multiverse, but what we did has tons of repercussions. The impacts from the rocks had ripples going up and down the timelines of the universes, creating discontinuities and anomalies, like AKI suddenly reviving, or you reappearing out of nowhere. The impacts also changed the importance of the universes, with this reality that we are currently in right next to the primary time stream in importance. But this reality was heavily affected by the Great Reset, and the Power of Chaos is changing the outcome of this universe into something that needs to be corrected, and soon. If the Power of Chaos isn't defeated within...237 hours, a little less than 10 days, this universe will never be able to be fixed, and will take 169 other major universes and countless minors that I have spent relative years fixing so far off curse, I would never be able to fix it."

"The good news is, you have already defeated the Power of Chaos, to me, and since I know the outcome, I know what I have to do to make sure it occurs. But the bad news is that for you, the clock is ticking, so I have a few parting words and a gift for both you and AKI."

"Is my gift my memories back and a Level 5 non-Tuner Monster?" Rayos asked "And is AKI's a more human looking body?" His eyes turned back to their normal orange shade and his arm went out, apparently trusting that Itsu was telling the truth. Spirit appeared next to Rayos and started chirping angrily "Look, Spirit, he's not a Blackwing." More chittering "Yes, I know he's close, but he's not one of them, there's a hyphen there." Again Spirit chattered irately "Oh come on! You can't blame every single Blackwing for that!" Spirit pecked Rayos in the forehead and kept jabbering on "Alright, alright, you CAN blame them all, but you shouldn't!" He shooed the bird away "Seriously man, I'm in the middle of something!"

Itsu handed Rayos a blank Synchro Monster card, a card with the swirling side showing, and a pair of golden rings with two perfectly cut emeralds for the gemstones.

"This is made from the Eclipse Emerald, the artifact that I used to destroy this universe. One of these is for Aki, while the other is yours. They will negate the time-distortion abilities of the Power of Chaos, and allow your fates to be intertwined for eternity."

"The Synchro Monster is a special Synchro Monster that you originaly acquired in 2076, during the Third Resorce War. It allowed you to drive the Koreans out of New Domino, among other things. I thought it might be handy if you had this card now, but you will know when you can use it."

"And this card is on loan from me to Aki. Give this back to me after you fight the Power of Chaos, because Aki will only use it in between now and the next time you see me."

"And finally, four things you must remember, above all else:

1. Don't let any of the Signers die.

2. The frozen north is your friend.

3. Cici is the key.

4. Whatever you do, Aki must not go down the same path I did.

Understand?"

Rayos nodded and slipped the Synchro Monster into his Extra Deck before slipping one of the emerald rings on his flesh ring finger. He took the second ring and placed it on AKI's ring finger as well and took the face-down card last. He looked at it for a brief moment and slipped it into AKI's deck. "What about AKI?" Rayos asked Itsu, stroking the cyborg's hair "When will she wake up? How do I wake her up?" He amended, squeezing her hand with his metal arm.

 

Spirit, meanwhile, was back in the Spirit World, specifically the Mountain area, when he noticed James and Gale. The sparrow-eagle hybrid flew straight for the Blackwing Duelist, chirping and chattering incessantly, obviously enraged.

"Aki has decided to use a technique I tried involving dark magic psychic powers I didn't know I had at the time, and my internal nanobots. But she doesn't have enough biomass to complete the transformation. Essentially, you need to get more biomass, preferably organic materials from a human, like blood, bone or skin. An arm would do the trick, if you're willing. Either that, or a few plants and some human blood."

Itsu started to fade out of reality.

"Remember what I told you!" She pleaded as she vanished.

Rayos looked at his hand and nodded, slicing a long cut in his palm with his clawed finger and swore under his breath as the cut healed before a single drop of blood was spilled "Come on..." He muttered, placing all five of his claws on his palm and rotating his hand in a circle. Unbeknownst to him, his eyes changed from their normal orange to a more human looking green and his hand started bleeding profusely from the circular wound. He winced, more out of seeing his own blood for the first time than anything else, and placed his hand over AKI's mouth, letting his blood run freely until long after a normal human would have been bled dry.

Some of the blood managed to get in the pool of black sludge where AKI's chest cavity had been, and where the blood touched the slime, the slime adsorbed the blood, and caused the pool to bubble slightly. AKI weakly broadcast to Rayos.

 

Cici, meanwhile, observed this intently.

IC:James was shocked, seeing the being that came with his signer powers. "Cr...Crimios!" James smiled apon seeing his old Dragon card that was the key to defeating the light and dark seals, and most importantly, Chaos. "Hey, why did you leave the signers? Your power would have been useful during the last couple epidemics."

"I'm sorry James, but I couldn't. I had to make sure the seals power didn't contaminate the Spirit World, but i must not have done a very good job, seeing as how Power of Chaos is now in control of Neos. Of coarse, Power of Chaos was never what you would consider a good guy."

"T...that's ok, now you can help correct this problem Power of Chaos started."

"I'm afraid I can't do that James. Not only can't I be removed from my rocky prison, but I believe you and the other signers have strengthened to the point where you can defeat Power of Chaos without my power."

James looked down, then looked back noticing Gale had followed him, along wiht another bird-like creature that didn't look happy.

"There is one thing I can help you with, if you want, i can use up what little power I have stored to allow you to see your future." Crimios' eyes glowed brighter and Gale and the bird-like creature entered the cave, btu the area around them turned into an area not quite as colorful as Neos Space, but still colorful, with floating Mirrors showing different possibilities for the future. "Welcome to Future Visions."

James shivered at the memory of the card used to extract Yusei's memories from him by the Shadow Droid boss.

Rayos nodded and held his still bleeding hand over AKI's chest cavity. He knelt down next to her and ran his metal hand through the cyborg's hair "Please let this work..." He whispered.

 

Spirit, meanwhile, was still yelling at Gale in the native language of the Winged-Beasts "Don't just fly away from me!" He shouted, though it was unintelligible to James "Do you honestly think you guys can rip me off like that and not have me call you on it?! Your entire Archetype owes me one hundred counters, or did you forget that bet? Huh?!"

The sludge bubbled some more, and something started to come out of the goo. It initially was 5 points, but then it formed into a hand, which became a lower arm. On the inside of the arm, the familiar Wings Signer Mark lit up, but on the outside, the Condor Dark Mark started to glow. The goo then receeded, revealing a feminine right arm, reaching out for Rayos.

 

Cici was stunned at this occurence.

Rayos' eyes turned back to their normal orange and he took AKI's new arm by the hand and started to pull her out of the black sludge "AKI? Is that really you?" He asked, not really wanting to know what the sludge was, where exactly it came from, or how it turned AKI human, he was just happy that she was, from what he could see, human at last. "Please tell me that you're still... you."

 

Ilana, meanwhile, was just slowly starting to come back to her senses, but wasn't fully aware of her surroundings. She realized that she was sitting in a room that looked like it was set on fire, then soaked in water, and then ransacked by a tornado, though she didn't realize it was her room yet.

The rest of the arm emerged, then a shoulder, followed by what looked like a head with long red and black hair, and an upper torso. AKI was looking down, and her face couldn't be seen by Rayos yet, but her hair covered her emerging breasts. Just as AKI was about half-emerged, her other arm grabbed the side of her old torso and pulled the rest of her body out, causing her to flop onto the floor like a fish. She remained on the floor on her stomach, then a horrible gasping noise came from her a she took in a huge breath, then exhaled it. She did this a few times until she got the rhythm right, and breathed normally. She just continued to lie on the floor, getting used to breathing.

"You know..." She finally croaked out, "...I have no idea how you humans get used to this." Her voice was now starting to sound like it used to, but the mechanical aspect of it gone, and she sounded a bit more mature and sultry than usual. "Rayos, could you give me a few minutes? I'm trying to figure out how to use my new muscles."

[Blackwing-Master]

Jasmine fell down as the fire ball hit her dropping her life points to 0. She smiled, picking herself back up. "Good game. Never saw that coming."

James activated his duel disk and played Spellbinding Circle, surrounding the bird with a circular seal. "I don't know what you want, but go somewhere else. Now go away." He deactivated his duel disk then turned to Crimios. "OK, bring it on."

"Very well." Mirrors from all over the land appeared changing the image on them to a reflection of James. The first mirror changed image into effect monster card with no name, a half dark, half light attribute sign, no stars, attack, defense, or effect. Just a picture of a rainbow with a dark cloud over top it, that looked like a little kid drew it. "I have an idea what it means. Continue."

"Uh, yeah, take all the time you need." Rayos said, smiling faintly to himself. His love finally looked human "Want me to leave the room? Or get you some clothes? Or... Anything?" He asked

 

Drake offered his hand to Jasmine to help herself all the way up and having Vulcan drive itself over towards them. As soon as it stopped, he opened up a hidden compartment in its side that contained a box of cards "Here, try flipping through these to make your Deck better. The WIND Monsters and support are in the green section."

AKI finally got up, though weakly, revealing her new face. Like Itsu before her, she now had one blackened eye and one normal eye, but for her, the reverse was true, with her right, blue eye blackened and her left, golden eye normal. She had a Dark Signer tattoo that was a mirror image of Yusei's criminal mark underneath her blue eye. However, she didn't have Itsu's glowing circuitry or the time-travelling cyborg's bodysuit, even though her hair was black and red.

"No, but I do want you to do something for me." She staggered over to Rayos, and then collapsed in his arms, causing him to fall to the floor up against the wall. As Rayos was stunned, she managed to shift position so that Rayos' right arm was underneath her back, while his left arm, his gauntleted arm, was under her knees, and her butt in between Rayos' legs. She weakly wrapped her arms around him, and placed her head up against his chest, taking in a deep breath through her nose.

"You smell...so nice." She commented. "And your heartbeat is so...relaxing." She closed her eyes and sighed, continung to rest her head against Rayos' chest. "Can we just lie here for a while? I'm just so tired..."

"Thanks." Jasmine flipped through the pages, noticing one card that caught her eye that wasn't in the green pages, pulled it out, and continued flipping through. She only picked out three cards then closed the binder. "That will do."

The eyes of the Crimios statue turned a darker red. "James, the next might be hard to take." A picture of a skull and cross-bones was on the next mirror.

James just stood there. "Continue, if there is anything to continue to."

"OK..." The next mirror was probably the worst one James would see. A sign, much like his dragon head, only purple, in a very odd shape.

James stared at it. "So..."

"So, that's the mark of a dark signer, the humming bird to be exact."

((Don't you mean like Ilana, who, speaking of, is conscious, disoriented, and ready for a mental visit from a certain Dark Signer? Also, BWing, my post specifically stated that Spirit was speaking Winged-Beast language, and that James couldn't understand him.))

 

Rayos nodded, not caring to mention that it was in fact her own heart that AKI was hearing, not his. He pulled the girl closer to him and tried in vain to call upon his Spirits. Spirit was, of course, yelling at Gale and trying to collect his winnings from an undisclosed gambling event, while Elem, now Shadow, was catching up with various other Warriors, both the Type and Archetype, trying to broker deals with a few of the Level 5s so Black-Winged Dragon would have some Synchro fodder. He shook his head and just snuggled in next to her, keeping her as warm, and covered, as possible. Not like we're pressed for time or anything.

 

"Only four?" Drake asked, closing the box and replacing it in Vulcan, "You sure?"

5 minutes passed, then 15, then half-an-hour, and finally an hour flew by before a rumbling sound echoed throughout Ilana's room, awakening the couple quite rudely.

"Huh?" She groggily wondered as she looked around before she discovered the source of the disturbance, which was her empty stomach. AKI giggled softly at the fact that she was most likely weak because she didn't have any nutrients in her system, something she hadn't considered until now.

"Rayos, I think I might be hungry. Do we have anything to eat around here?" She asked, still looking and sounding weak.

 

((And I'm going to bed.))

"What do you think you'd like?" Rayos asked AKI, his arms still wrapped tightly around her "Noodles? Pizza? Something simple? Maybe some clothes first since you're kinda naked right now... not that I'm at all complaining, but I wouldn't want Ilana to walk in and see you like this, then I'd have to beat her with a stick to keep her off you." The amnesiac smiled at the girl in his arms and gave her a quick kiss, then another one, and a third after he found himself unable to pull away, though why he would want to is a mystery. When AKI finally needed to take a breath, Rayos was still smiling "You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do that for."

AKI smiled back, happy that Rayos still loved her even after what she did to herself. "I know. I'm not at full strength, but I can glean a few of your surface thoughts." She then looked over at Ilana's closet, then looked down at her own body. "You know, I think I might be Ilana's size. Could you see what she has in her closet? Just something simple, like a pair of panties, a tank top, and some jeans, and not too flashy either. If you find something that I can use to tie my hair back, that will give you brownie points that you might be able to spend later."

James remained speechless for a couple minutes. "I... I've heard of them, seeing as though I've seen Yusei's memories, but I thought they were gone."

"I can't explain it either, but remember James, there is still time to change the future. This is what may happen, not what will. There is a chance to change this before the last two events can occur."

James looked down, tightening his fist. "True, but if i don't know what caused it, how can I change it?"

"I can't tell. You'll figure it out eventually."

James started to smile, but just faintly. "Thanks... Crimios. Can you send me back to the cave? I want to meet up with Militum."

"Sure James." Crimios' eyes started glowing again and James was engulfed in red light.

When the light cleared, James was back in the cave, no statue to be seen. "See you around, Crimios." He started up his d-wheel and drove out of the cave.

The statue of Crimios was still in Future Visons. "To bad he didn't get to see the final mirror." The final mirror was a picture of Stardust, a human on a d-wheel, and a road made of light, flying through the sky, the humming bird mark falling to the ground.

Rayos nodded, gave AKI another kiss before standing up, still holding her in his arms. He walked over to Ilana's bed and gently set AKI down before rummaging through the closet, picking out a tank top the approximate color of AKI's old body, a pair of black denim jeans, and then stopped "Yeah, AKI, Ilana's the closest thing I have to a sister, that I know of, it really doesn't feel right to just go through her underwear drawer." He looked at AKI, trying to keep his gaze approximately on her face, and being mostly successful, and tried to see if she would understand. "It's just... weird."

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

"First, could we drop the caps?" Aki asked, getting off the bed weakly and stumbling to the drawers where she pulls out a pair of panties that will fit her, and puts them on before taking the clothes that Rayos got out for her and putting them on. "I know its an aesthetic change, like the transition from 'Kesha' to 'Ke$ha', with no real pronunciation change, but I just feel...I just feel like I'm no longer the person I was before...I feel...I feel ALIVE!"

She raised her arms into the air to emphasize this proclamation, but then she lost her balance and manage to quickly use Rayos as a support.

"And for...whatever this meal is, I would like...everything. Take out everything in the fridge. I will pay Ilana and Drake back."

"I was always wondering how thoughts appeared to you." Rayos told Aki, "I just figured you heard whispers or something like that, I didn't think you read minds so... literally." He shrugged and pulled Aki closer to him, giving her one more kiss before taking her by the waist and leading her out of Ilana's room "What would you like first?" He asked, keeping the cyborg girl as close to him as possible, as if making sure that she was still there, that she was, despite her new body, still AKI.
