What is LESS overpowered?

Drakonnas

Question

Monster - 0 ATK, 1100 DEF

Effect 1

This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Any battle damage taken from battles involving this card are taken by your opponent. During your end phase, this card switches to defense mode.

Effect 2

This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Any battle damage taken from battles involving this card are taken by your opponent.

Thanks!

They're both equally OP because, assuming you play it right, you would summon it in ATK position. Some how force your opponents monster to attack it, it switches to Defence Position, and its your turn. You switch it to ATK position and start over again. Or you just keep it in ATK position. Both are horibly OP because of possibility of 2-3 card lockdown.

Much better. Use this instead:

This card cannot declare an attack. Twice per turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed. (Damage calculation is applied normally). If you would receive damage as a result of battle involving this card, halve the damage that you would receive and inflict the amount halved to your opponent instead.

That should be fine.

Switching the card to Defense Position is useless enough for it to be considered redundant.

I suggest you make the DEF of the monster higher, add an ATK to it (roughly around 1,000), and make it so that it cannot declare an attack. That should make it balanced.

Thank you.

Another question. Is this OP? Most of my cards tend to be, so I am trying to fix that!

"Abra"

Level 3

550 attack

250 def

Once per turn, you can send this card to your hand, and select 1 face down card on the field. It cannot be activated until the end phase of the next turn. If this card is selected as an attack target, tribute it to special summon 1 "Kadabra" from your deck.

Yubel is an existing 0 ATK monster with the no-destruction-reverse-damage effect. It's Level 10, it takes a Tribute every End Phase to avert self-destruction, and it doesn't deal damage when it's the one attacking.

Both of these versions of the card are horribly unbalanced, and the difference in balance between them is pretty much negligible.
