Josep looked over towards Zack. "so, I see you got some new cards....so tell me....are they powerful?" he asked with a smile, almost as if testing to see his determination in the battles that were coming ahead. "all of you are very good duelists...but sometimes I feel you guys aren't ready.....Zack, you say that you would give your life to protect your friends....I want you to tell me....what would you do if one of your friends betrayed you...and joined the darkness of their own free will? would you destroy them?"

".... Good question..... I've already gone through that...... with Elliot...... but he was tricked by the darkness...... by the look he had in his eye, he thought he was week...... that's what the darkness used against him....." Zack explained "As for the new cards....... try some of the strongest possible................" Zack said with a smirk "I won't lose our next duel Josep............... I'm still curious who could of done that to our duel though."

"Yeah...so you got some of the strongest? then I have a question, when the war is over, what will you do with those powerful cards?" this was what he really wanted to know, he stood up and let his cloak appear over his body. "Kimi, Elliot, Donovyn, and Axel are also strong, don't let yourself do everything....or you will die....and then the only person to hurt your friends will be yourself. Remember that...." He looked at his own deck, and it's glow was beginning to weaken, "I would say that I want you to protect Kimi, but I believe that is someone else's job....sorry about that....who knew?" he said while he looked at Elliot.

"I know I can't do everything........ but I do the extent of my abilities.........." Zack explained holding up the new monster card....... "______ ___ ___ ______....... you'll help me in tough times, I know it............" Zack thought out loud......... "(Just need two others to collect....... then the Dean would surely let me go next time!)" Zack thought "(I don't think anyone is listening to me when I yell out his card name....)" "As for what I'd do with the cards..... treasure them."

"Make good use of them for now...." He then looks at his daughter and throws her his duel disk. "The passcode to the Duel Runner mode is our crest name...." he stated as he put on his hood and strapped on his sword to his side.

 

"Daddy? where are you going?" she was worried, he had been acting strange for a while, and now he was getting his sword ready for attack. "Don't worry, Kimi, your friends and your mother will protect you if I fail...."

 

"Wait....what are you talking about?"

 

Josep looks at Zack. "See what I mean...the one who is causing her pain now is me.....try not to cause her that..." He raised his sword and slashed the ground and in a powerful blinding light, he disappeared.

"Did he just say Duel Runner? So you were going to learn how to ride a Duel Runner?" Zack asked before running into the chopper and pulling out his Duel Runner "I can help if you need any.......... this was my grandpa's.......... he gave me Stardust Dragon, and a couple others....... and his friend gave my brother Red Dragon Archfiend and a couple others, then my brother gave me Red Dragon Archfiend and the others......." Zack explained.

"Alright then, it's my turn!" Elliot said as he drew a card. "I play Heavy Storm to destroy your spell and face-down! Of course my face-down would be destroyed as well." Elliot exclaimed as a giant storm swept across the field, destroying both players face-downs. "Now I summon Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier in attack mode." Cryomancer rosed to the field looking at Elliot. "Hey kid, nice to see ya!" Cryomancer yelled out, but Elliot didn't noticed him. "Huh, oh yeah I forgot, he can't hear me. Oh well." Cryomancer said. "Now I tune them together to synchro summon Goyo Guardian in attack mode! Goyo Guardian attack his monster now!" Elliot yelled out as Goyo Guardian swung its chain.

"I guess.....but..where did my dad just go?" she wondered, as she came up with a horrible idea, only to dismiss it. "forget it...I'm sure he's just gonna get a bite to eat..." she looked at his Duel Disk, she always found it to be special because he built it himself, he just never gave it a paint job. he said that it didn't need one. "Duel Runner mode? but I don't even have a Del runner in the first place....." she took out a few cards that were in the deck slot. "these are all speed spells....interesting."

"Hmm..... there is really only one way to learn how balance on a Duel Runner........ a Turbo Duel, since it's on autopilot you can focus on balancing on it because you'll be going one handed when you draw......." Zack explained while pulling out two cards, one Speed Spell one Monster............. "(That wasn't technically a challenge, it was an explanation........ right?)" Zack thought "I wonder how long they'll take to duel..... I could probably do about a hundred laps on my Duel Runner and they won't be done."

As the duel continues between Elliot and Quai with Zack, Kimi, and Donovyn looking on. Moving wheels-like sounds can be heard coming from down the streets. It came closer and closer to the duel. Then out of nowhere, came Dan on a duel board. "YAHOO!!!!! Hey you guys! It's me, Dan!" Dan exclaimed as he head towards Zack, Kimi, and Donovyn with extreme speed. Before he could crash into them however, Dan stopped the duel board and got off of it. "Huh, who the heck are you?" Elliot asked confusely. "It's me Dan! Oh wait, I forgot you lost your memories. I'll explain it later, just go on and duel!" Dan exclaimed as he turned towards Zack and Kimi. "Hehe, wasup you guys!" Dan then turned to Donovyn and waved. "Hey Kaiba!" Dan exclaimed.

"Well....I guess it's because Elli-kun has to get used to his deck again...." she looked at her new duel disk and then remembered what her father told her. "The family crest.....she looked at he shirt it had the families crest on it, it was the Six Samurai crest. "Maybe it's the name of the crest...but I have no clue what it's called...." she looked at all her cards for an answer, but she couldn't come up with a name...."dang it...." she looked at Dan. "oh...it's molester-kun (her weird nickname for him) my dad wanted me to give you this..." she stated as she gave him a signed card, though the card was blank and stated, use it wisely. "He was busy when you first asked him but he felt so bad he took a card from his deck and signed it for you...I don't know what it does though..."

"I guess....... oh, hey Dan" Zack said then he noticed Kimi was annoyed with something "Huh? Something wrong Kimi? If it has to do with a Duel Runner you can use mine if you want." Zack explained "(I wonder who's next to pop up...... maybe my brother......)" Zack thought "5........4...........3......2......1...........0............ here comes Jack....." Zack said out loud as he face palmed himself and waited.

"Molester-Kun?! I told you Kimi, it was an accident! Man gimme a break........" Dan stated while comically lowering his body in shame. Dan then raised his body again and took the card. "Huh, that's a weird present to give someone." He then looked at Kimi nervously. "Of course I'm not saying your old man is weird or anything, hehe (I better watch what I say and do in front of Kimi, she might kill me.......)......." Dan thought to himself while giving a nervous smile. Dan then stared at the card closely and placed his hand on his chin. "Hmm......... Could this card be used for creating my very own card or something? Hey! That could work!!!!" Dan exclaimed excitingly. "Next time if you see your old man, tell him thanks for me Kimi." Dan stated as he gave a excited smile.

"Hey Dan, did you pick up any _______ ___ _________ or ___ ______ ______ __ __ back at Duel Academy?" Zack asked "I already have ______ ___ ___ ______" Zack explained "(I hope he did.)" Zack thought as the giant shadow appeared next to him "What's your name kid?" the shadow asked Zack "Zack Fudo." Zack responded "Well well well, you're the chosen one alright...... good luck.... Zack..... you! Kid! The one they call Dan!" the shadow yelled.

"WEEHEE!" a young thirteen year old voice yelled as someone who surprisingly looked like Zack but younger jumped on top of Zack "WHOA!" Zack yelled dropping the cards he was holding onto "Hey Big Bro! I could tell you were in the city by the crowds of girls I saw around." Jack explained while getting off of Zack "Did I make you drop your cards? Oops, sorry." Jack stated as he picked them up "Whoa! This is ______ ___ ___ ______! One of the best cards in the world! Where did you get this!?" Jack asked while handing Zack his cards back, then looking around, seeing Kimi "Hey who's that? That your girlfriend?" Jack asked with a 'I mean to be annoying' tone in his voice "Jack, shut up!" Zack yelled, throwing Jack a few meters away..... about ten.....

"I'm going to assume it's my turn then," Quai said as his Kycoo showed up on Elliot's field. "First, I draw!" he said, drawing his card, he grinned. "First off, I'll begin by playing another Dimensional Fissure! Then, if you think I'm done, I'll play my D.D. Warrior Lady! (1500 ATK)" he said as a woman appeared on his field, holding a sword with a glowing blade. "Now, Warrior Lady, attack his Goyo Guardian!" he shouted, and his Warrior Lady complied. Donovyn grinned. "(Elliot won't know what hit 'im. I bet he is oh, so confused right now.)"

As Quai's Warrior Lady dashed towards Goyo Guardian, Elliot gave a confident smirk. "Alright I activate my quick-play spell Book of Moon! Know your Warrior Lady is flipped into face-down defense mode!" Elliot exclaimed confidently. "(Alright Elliot you can do this. Just believe in yourself and in your deck.)" Elliot thought to himself while still showing a confident smile. "So anything else you want to play? Or do you end your turn?" Elliot asked. Dan turned his attention to Zack to answer his questions. "Sorry bud, but I'm not that lucky." Dan proclaimed. He then turned to the giant shadow next to Zack. "You're talking to me?" Dan said pointing to himself.

"Yes! I am ______ ___ ___ ______ I don't know if I'll ever be usable but! I know a lot about the upcoming war. You seem to be cocky! Stop it! You'll die for sure!" ______ yelled at Dan, then looking at Jack "You're to bothersome! Clear your mind of WILLINGLY bothering people! That will get you killed!" ______ yelled at Jack. Jack got off the ground and opened his eyes wide "_-______?! AAAH! Sorry!" Jack yelled before running away, dropping a card, Zack walked up yo it and picked it up "!!!! _______ ___ _________!" Zack yelled as another giant shadow (this time with legs) appeared next to Zack.

"(Well, that was a lucky move.)" Donovyn thought. "No, I'm good for now." Quai said, chuckling a little. "(He seems to think this will be easy for him. He may have my Kycoo, and he may have escaped my Warrior Lady, but he has only scratched the surface at this point. He has no idea what's waiting...lurking in the depths of my deck.)" he thought, looking at his deck. "So, that makes it your turn, Elliot." he said in as friendly a voice as he could get.

"Alright then Quai, it's my turn! (Man, this guy can get pretty creepy. Especially with that smile.....)" Elliot thought to himself as he drew a card. "First up I'm summoning Strategist of the Ice Barrier in attack mode. Then I'm gonna equip my Goyo Guardian with Horn of the Unicorn. Now Kycoo attack D.D. Warrior Lady!" Elliot exclaimed as Kycoo destroyed Warrior Lady and both of them were removed from play. "Now Goyo Guardian and Strategist attack him directly! You're done for!" Elliot yelled. "Hey I'm not too cocky! Zack here is the one who's too full of himself!" Dan exclaimed angrily as he pointed at Zack.

______ went up to Dan and roared in his face "HAHAHA!" the second shadow laughed "You need to get a pair of eyes little one.... we have been watching you people of Duel Academy............. you ARE cocky at times, but most of the time, not, Zack here is cocky, but he has his reasons...." ______ explained "HEY!" Zack yelled, holding up their cards "You _________ ___ cards might be strong, but it doesn't give you the right to torture people!"

"Well, you seem to have pretty good luck with your cards." he said, adjusting his glasses and deactivating his disk. "Next time, I'll have to avoid playing around. Well, Mister Donovyn, did you get the information you needed." Donovyn simply looked at Elliot over his fingers. "That duel...it wasn't for me to gain information." Quai was confused by that statement. "Elliot," Donovyn continued. "Did using that deck help you with your memories of the Academy?"

"(Playing around? How strong is this guy?)" Elliot thought to himself as the holograms disappeared from the field. Elliot then deactivated his duel disk and put his deck into his pocket. Elliot walked towards the others. "Actually........ I'm afraid I feel quite unchanged......... However, I feel a closer bond to my deck. Who knows, maybe one day I'll regain my memories." Elliot stated with a happy smile. "Hey Quai, nice game. However, you try to act a little less, uh well, eccentric." Elliot said with a nervous smile. "To tell the truth, I was kinda scared dueling you because of how you looked during the duel." Elliot explained. "Arrg!!! Fine, I'm not talking to you anymore ya jerk!" Dan yelled at the shadow then walked away towards Elliot. "Hey man good duel! You too Mr. Kaiba's Assistant!" Dan exclaimed. "Hehe, thanks." Elliot said as he scratched the back of his head.

"Quai. Quai Akaima." he said, holding out his hand for a handshake. "Your name?" he asked, once more with his friendly voice. He looked over the kid who showed up on a duel board. "And just where did you get this thing?" he said, retrieving his hand to pick up the board and look it over. "This looks too high tech for a normal board, and yet it doesn't seem well suited for a duel. If it is for dueling, how are you supposed to use it anyway?" he said, looking at both sides, and around all the edges.

"You've gotten stronger Elli-kun!" Kimi exclaimed while at the same time biting her father's duel disk. "what......the.....hell.......is.......the......damn........password........." she was tossing and turning like a kitten with a ball of yarn, she was desperate to open the secondary function, though she felt stupid doing so. "You know what...I give up....I'll just use it the way it is....." she stood up and attached the disk to her arm, though yet again she managed to ruin her outfit. "god dang it...."
