Michico followed Zack,without letting him notice it.When he was not looking,michico looked around."nobody is here."she thought.She walked to zack,and she started to kiss Zack on his mouth.(:P)She kept kissing for a long time,but then she stopped."thanks for saving...i don't know what i should do when you are away,in the shadow dimension..."she said to Zack.

Donovyn watched as Zack knocked on the door. He'd been leaning against a wall the entire time. "Zack." he said, calmly, but not quite managing to hide an undertone of concern. "I watched your duel, and I must say, I'm impressed. In fact, I hadn't imagined the two Archetypes could work together like that. Perhaps those aren't the right words, fused is more like it. Perfectly fused, in fact." He held out a Sketch to show Zack. "You see, I made this." he flipped it over. "I have a contact at Industrial Illusions who can make new cards, he can make this." the side he was currently showing Zack had stats and a name.

About time he started to turn around a little :)...... about time I stopped hating the guy........ he just needed some friends to turn him around........... like Seto Kaiba needs..........") Zack thought "Remember, we might need that fast, can you get it done as fast as you can? I have a bad feeling about the next one........" Zack said to Donovyn, then turning his head to Michico "..... Aww man, it was nothing. UGH!" Zack said still in pain from the blast that he took for Michico. Still waiting for the Dean to open the door.

He stood out on the roof looking at his cards. "Raviel, Hamon, Uria, Red-Eyes, Cyberdark.... Thank you all for standing by me." He looked up at the sky and smiled as he placed them all in his deck. "It is time to face up to who I am." His body began to become covered in a dark mist. "I will not let the darkness rule me, but I will use it."

"Alright my turn!" Elliot said confidently as he drew a card. "First up I'll summon my Shock Troops of the Ice Barrier in attack mode and then I'll play Double Summon to summon up my Defense Force of the Ice Barrier in attack mode. Now I'll tune my Shock Troops and Defense Force to synchro summon Goyo Guardian in attack mode! Now, Goyo Guardian attack Blizzard Dragon!" Elliot said as Goyo Guardian swings its chain at Blizzard Dragon, destroying it.

"Arrg!!!! I'll make you pay for attacking me!!!!" the Shadow Elliot yelled furiously as he drew a card. "HeheheheHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I'm going to activate my spell Emergency Synchronization! By removing from play the monsters I need for a synchro summon from my deck, I can summon a monster you've been wanting to find for a long time now. I summon Brionac, Dragon of th Ice Barrier!!!!" Brionac arose from an icy wind; it's body shining magnificently that also gave off a briliant light that could be seen far away. "So whataya think Elliot? HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!" Shadow Elliot laughed.

 

"N-no way.......... Brionac!!!!" Elliot yelled as Brionac was seen chained up. "How could this be?" Elliot asked confusely.

 

"Hehehe, you seem confused?" Shadow Elliot asked sarcastically. "Humph, now I'll activate Brionac's effect! By discarding three cards from my hand, I can send your Goyo Guardian and your Blizzard Warrior!" Shadow Elliot exclaimed as the monsters disappeared. "Now that you're defenseless, Brionac attack him directly!" Shadow Elliot yelled as Brionac forcibly shot an icy sphere at Elliot.

"GAH!!! Ugh......... It feels like my life force is being sucked out of me after that last attack........." Elliot said to himself as he stood up from the ground.

 

"Hehe, I end my turn. And due to my Emergency Synchronization's effect, Brionac is sent to the graveyard, bye-bye!" Shadow Elliot proclaimed as Brionac disappeared from the field.

Zack decided to look out the window while waiting for the Dean to open the door, when he saw Eliot shadow dueling "!!! Oh-No! If the Dean comes through that door, tell him to look out this window!" Zack said as he ran out to TRY to take Eliot's place in the duel "Eliot! Let me take your place! I-I want to protect you guys! I will do ANYTHING to protect you guys from these duels! They put a heavy burden on your body! I can take it! Iv'e been through three of these duels already!"

"Ugh............" Elliot stood up from the ground after the attack he just took. He then saw Zack running towards the duel and pleading to take Elliot's place. "Ugh........ Zack......... It's good to see you buddy. Sorry, but this is my duel. He has Brionac, and I have to rescue him on my own. I can't run away from my problems. I know you want to protect the ones close to you, and so do I. I want to protect everyone! But I can't do that if I let you take my place. Zack, trust me, I can do this!" Elliot said confidently.

"My turn............." Shadow Dan said as he drew his card. "I summon Dark Core Chimera Rutel............ attack mode.......... End............" Shadow Dan said.

"That's all? Well then I draw!" Dan said as he drew his card. "Alright, I summon my Koa'ki Meiru Sea Panther in attack mode! Now Bergzak attack Rutel!" Bergzak ran across the field and sliced Rutel in half, destroying it. "And now Sea Panther attack him directly!"

"(I don't get it? Why isn't he pulling off any amazing strategies? Maybe he's too dumb....) Alright I'll end my turn! I'll reveal my Rooklord and Ice to keep my two monsters on the field!" Dan exclaimed.

Zack held up another 'Hope of Friends' and tossed it to Eliot so he could put it in his deck "Just be careful, this kind of duel puts a heavy burden on your body with each summon you make....................." "(I see why this duel is important to him..... I just hope he can make it..." Zack then looked up to the window where he just was, the Dean still wasn't there, then he looked to his left..... a shadow Zack was heading his way "HAHAHA! Hello Zacky..." "You DIDN'T just say THAT name! I swore that I would defeat anyone who said the nickname SHE gave me!" "HAHAHA! Just what I wanted to hear!" he said as a Shadow Duel circle appeared around them "Prepare to duel!" Shadow Zack said as a card appeared in his hand, he set it in his extra deck, drew his five cards.

I walk over to Zack and his shadow opponent. "Hey,... you seem to be having some trouble,need some help." As I see that he is dueling a shadow version of himself I wondered if what I faced was similar or something completely unrelated. "Do you think you'd want to swap out with me or maybe you'd want to borrow one of my cards that way you could catch the copy off guard."

"GRRRR! My draw! You know, if there's one thing I hate the most....... it's someone who wants to destroy my friends! Prepare to die! I activate MY Polymerization! I fuse the three Blue-Eyes Stardust Dragons in my hand! I fusion summon! Blue-Eyes Ultimate Stardust Dragon!" (lvl 12 Fusion ATK: 4650) Blue-Eyes Ultimate Stardust Dragon flew into the air, shining a bright light over the island, for everyone to see "I activate the other Polymerization in my hand! I fuse Blue-Eyes Ultimate Stardust Dragon and Black Luster Soldier in my hand! I fusion summon! Stardust Dragon Master Knight!" (lvl 12 Fusion ATK: 5050) Black Luster Soldier appeared over of Blue-Eyes Ultimate Stardust Dragon, landing on the neck of the middle head, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Stardust Dragon grew 10x bigger, and the light shined brighter "Stardust Dragon Master Knight gains 100 attack points per 'Stardust' monster in my graveyard! I have four right now!" Stardust Dragon Master Knight grew 4x bigger (ATK: 5450) "Stardust Dragon Master Knight! Attack his Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!" S. Zack LP: 4550

Zach walked until he heard screaming in the main building. (what the heck was that scream! it must be Zack screaming, i mean he has a horrible scream.) Zach ran to the main building and saw Zack on the floor and he also saw Elliot in the duel spots. "wow Zack you need some help, ive never been in a duel since i got here, and also you LOOK like you need some help, you look like your in trouble." Zach crouched to see Zack face, and it looked beat.

zach saw the shadow Zack duel him when a mysterious shadow creature next to him. "who are you, a poser? your a shadow figure." Zach saw its face and it looked exactly like Zach. "hehehehehehe good question, im you, but shadow form." Shadow Zach looked at the duel and saw the Shadow Zack in a duel. "well then, if it isnt Shadow Zack. hehehehe." "If you want to duel me, be my guess. you cant beat me."

Those were the last words of Shadow Zack before disappearing along with the barrier.

 

Zack ran back up to where Michico and Donovyn were "Hey, what did ya think of that dragon?" Zack asked with a thumbs up, with Blue-Eyes Ultimate Stardust Dragon still outside, with the light shining brighter than ever, blinding the shadows everyone was dueling (temporarily.)

Donovyn watched Zacks short duel from the window. "Well, that was lucky. However, he does need a break, it seems like." Donovyn walked out of the main building, and toward the Ra dorms. "(I need to reach him as soon as possible, and see how fast he can get those cards made.)" he thought as he walked. He managed to reach his room without trouble. "No doubt I'll get myself into another duel soon. It seems there will be a war very soon. The thing is, over what?" He asked, walking over the desk in his room, and a computer. "Please connect to the outside." he said. It did, the connection was slow, however. He activated the microphone and webcam. "Hello," someone said on the other side of the connection. The reception was fuzzy, but he could make out what was said. Donocyn spoke slowly, and calmly, as clearly as possible. "Quai, its Donovyn. I need you to make a couple copies of a card, and get them to me as soon as possible. I'm sending you the name and stats now." He began typing as rapidly as he could, and hit enter. Quai waited patiently, as it took a full ten minutes to send. He read over the stats, and soon received a picture as well. "Didn't say you'd already designed the picture, Donovyn. Still, I can work with this. You'll have it in...2 days, tops." "Sure it can't be faster?" "unfortunately, yes. I can tell this is important, but it's the best I can do." "Fine." he logged off, and went outside to find Zack.

Zach and the Shadow Zach stood up and started to duel. "Ill go first. I DRAW! i summon Archfiend Soldier in attack mode. now i put down Dark Puddle and one card and end my turn." Zach grinned at the shadow creature. "oh man now i need to see if he can beat me or not. well ill try my best.) Zach thought as he watched the shadow move. "so you must be tougher than me since your a Shadow, right?" "well, of course im better than you." "Well ill have to try my best then."

Zack realized that the Dean wasn't going to answer the door................................. again, so he decided to sit on the front steps of the main building, trying to think about his whole situation "(... I want to protect my friends..... even if it costs me my life...... I WILL protect them! No matter what anyone says! Josep tch, ov-er-pro-tec-tive! I'll do anything! .....)" Zack then decided to get off the steps, then lay down on the grass, just look up into the nigh time sky, the wind blowing the grass, and his hair....... "I'll do anything...." Zack said with his eyes closed.

Donovyn ran to where Zack was, and noticed he'd left. He ran over to the Deans office, and noticed Zack laying on the grass before he reached the door of the building. He slowed down and went over to Zack. He sat down beside him, and knocked him in the head, just enough to be felt. He stared up at the sky, and closed his eyes to get a better feel of the wind. He inhaled slowly, and spoke, not even caring if Zack was awake to hear him. "Two days, buddy. The cards will be ready in two days."

"Great..... we need to get ready...." Zack said as he was thinking about how much has changed since he arrived "Heh..... one minute we hate each other........ the next, were friends..... we'd probably be the best tag team in the academy.............. Stardusts and Blue-Eyes's...... working side by side.... I wonder what kind of tournament will take place in the middle of the year..... single duels, or tag team duels................................................................. I have a feeling we're gonna be in for a wild ride....."

"I wonder if we'll make it to the middle of the year. Honestly, I still don't know that I believe 100% in spirits. I still haven't knowingly seen any. But, I've begun to believe theres more to dueling than just power. Though, you have to admit: Having power helps." he said philosophically. He took a long, slow breath. "You know, we never did have our re-match. So, I think it'd be nice if we had a singles tournament. That way, we'd finally have it. I have no doubt we'd make it to the end, and then we'll be able to duel again."

"I agree, though, I would like both actually, we'd probably also get to see how powerful our tag force is....... Stardusts and Blue-Eyes's side by side, but we would have our re-match if singles..... Stardusts versus Blue-Eyes's, two ultimate dragons...... fighting it out........ it would be the duel of the year, decade..... maybe even more..................." Zack said, thinking even more about what the middle of the year would be like "I can't stop thinking about what the Dean said in the auditorium...... he failed his mission.............. but I carried him back to his office though...... man... he was heavy." Zack said with a sarcastic tone in his voice.

I walk over to Zack and Kiaba my eyes are still glowing red and blue, "Wow man I thought we were going to be the strongest tag team, I guess I come second fiddle to your new Best Fiend. Just so you know that was a joke so how was your Shadow Duels meet any weirdos that call you their lord and turn into cards when you beat them." After I look around. "Do you guys know of anybody called the Supreme King,this weird thing called me it but I don't get it. Wait did you say that the Dean lost with those cards!!!"

"You know, its funny. The most nerve-racking part of the war is never the war itself, but always that moment of calm when neither side has anything to do but sit and think." Donovyn said, watching the stars. He felt a chill run through him, and pulled his jacket tighter, with a bigger-than-necessary movement Zack could have seen. "Still, it would be nice to have a tag match. Especially when we have those cards Quai is supposed to be making right now. Quai is my contact in Industrial Illusions, by the way." he was silent for a moment. "Is it cold to you?"

"Shadow duel? Heard of those, never really got how it was supposed to work. Well, I did duel someone who could have passed as me. Not nearly as good, and he was a Red-Eyes User. He lost. Why?"

"No, it's not cold........ and ya, Iv'e been through my fourth shadow duel already........ two against duel monster spirits, one against Josep, and one against a shadow me." "Hey, Donovyn, remember the ceremony at the beginning of the year? The cold or warm chills that you made fun of me of? Is it just me or, are you getting what I think your getting?" Zack asked, thinking about what Donovyn said about the scary part of a war "I guess your right, about the silence.... not knowing if or when they'll strike........" "(He's getting the cold chill, could that mean what I think it means?)" Zack thought to himself "Hey want a copy of a couple of cards I had made for me when I was in the pros? They'd be for when me and you are having a tag duel."

Donovyn thought back to the Ceremony. "Huh, yeah, I remember the Ceremony." he smiled a little, and laughed softly. "Maybe I am. Maybe." he sighed. "Alright. Let me see them, and then I'll let you know." he said, offering his hand to take the cards. He leaned back, so that he too was laying on the ground. He looked through the stars, picking out constellations he knew, trying to find ones he didn't. "Still, it is nice, isn't it? Having this time when all you can do is reflect on the simple things?" he asked, closing his eyes.
