In the small villa of the Warrior Clan, namely in the room of the future clan leader "MMMMMMMMMMAAAAHHHHH!" yawned Kimi as she got out of bed, as she did she noticed that her uniform had been laid out on the bean bag chair. "who put that there?' she drowzily walked over to the chair and tried reaching for the skirt, but she dozed off and fell down. "thank god....this is soft...." After regaining consciousness she tried hurrying a little, considering she wanted to look good for today, then her last obstacle...was that damn skirt. "Jeez....how the hell am I supposed to have privacy with this? It's like...not even a foot long......" with that she got a gleam in her eye. "oh well, until I get a "proper" outfit...I'm going with what I want!"

 

[MEANWHILE]

 

In a small building complex not too far from the academy There was a man already dressed and looking out the window, he saw how people were readying themselves for the opening of the academy, personally he didn't care too much, but he would at least try to be a noteworthy teacher. "now then...let's see if any of these kids are really worth my time....." he stated as he looked at the deck on his table.

"Zzzzzzzzzzzzz... *YAWN*" Zack woke up to a brand new deck on his bedside table, it was with a note: 'Since you were the best student in your old duel academy, here is a pity gift because it was destroyed, this deck is more powerful than your old deck, enjoy.' Zack turned to his closet and he saw his dorm jacket "Where did that come from?" Zack asked himself. Zack put it on, grabbed his new deck, and ran the whole 50 miles to the Duel Academy "Better hurry! Will I make it?" Zack asked himself while checking his watch "OH-NO! I'm late!" Zack yelled. It took Zack 10 minutes, but he made it "Phew. I made it." Zack said to himself noticing that there were only about 5-6 people there! "Huh?" Zack asked himself while checking his watch "O, there is a smudge on it." Zack said while wiping it off "!!! 2 hours early! Aww-man, thats what I get for not having any clock in my room... and hopping out the window." Zack said patheticly.

She had a rough time making it since she didn't want to be chauffeured, but she managed to make it to the Opening area, there were tons of people around, though many of the duelists seemed a little scary in her opinion. "some of these guys look like they're already pros.....but for the sake of my Family...I'll make sure I can measure up!" she stated confidently, though some of the other duelists were looking at her like she was crazy. "heh heh...Gomene....." she said quietly as she tried to find people that were interesting...but not willing to murder her.

 

[Meanwhile]

 

Jazeth had been at the forefront gate, waiting for the chancellor to rear his head to the opening ceremony, he could see their were some duelists with potential but whether or not they made his expectations would be......difficult, despite just recently becoming a teacher the beginning courses he did for his masters were quite......extreme. As a few duelists looked up at him they laughed, he had never been seen in the pro circuit so they felt they didn't have to fear him, though one cold glare from him had them shivering.

Bio:He was born in Detroit, Michigan. He never had a lot of freinds so he stayed close to the few he had. He had always dreamed of being a great duelis but he came from a poor family. He lived with his Grandmother. Them never had much but they were happy untill six weeks ago his Grandmother died. I her will she had left a deck to him. It had belonged to his Grandfather. Recteik was going to end up in a foster home. So his freinds pooled their money and bought him a spot at the new Duel Acadamy. His freinds sent all their hopes and dreams with him so that he might make something great of himself.

[The Dragon Duelist]

He stepped out into the bright morning sunlight of the new day. He yawned still half asleep, but at the sight of the many students he suddenly awoke. As he stepped towards the podeium he could feel the people staring and talking about him, he was obviously nervous due to the fact that he had never had to address this many people before. As he reached the podium he noticed the other new teacher extending his hand out to him. "Hello there. I take it you are Jazeth correct?" His accent was obviously deep southern and his tone was rather joyful.

Name: Xander Royce

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance: Dark blue trousers, black t-shirt and blue hoodie with sleeves always pulled up, white and black chekcered sneakers.

Bio: Xander was born in Estonia. Currently, he's 1 of the best duelists from Estonia.

Dorm: Obelisk Blue

Deck: "Wakeleen Invasion" (I will post the information up of those cards when that deck is used) and "Synchro Deck".

Ace Card: "Wakeleen - Remacohon" and "Ferocious Felgrand Dragon".

Extra Info: Can see Duel Spirits, but rarely mentions it.

 

Xander was just leaning against a wall in the back, out from plain sight when the ceremony was almost to be started. He almost looked like he was sleeping. In fact, he actually was. Xander had just gotten to America yesterday and couldn't get any good sleeping done, all because of the dreaded jetlag.

 

As the ceremony was about to open, Xander awoke. "Will this ceremony ever get started?" he thought to himself, not realizing that he actually thought out loud.

On the opening day of the new Duel Academy, Elliot was getting ready to leave. "Well, I got all my things pack. This is gonna be great! I've always dreamed of going to a real-life Duel Academy! I'm so excited, I'm not even hungry anymore!" Just then, Elliot's family walked in to say their goodbyes. "Oh, mom, dad, and Felicity." "Well kido, looks like ya dream is coming true! Better not forget your old man!" "Don't worry dad." "Did you pack everything already? Would you like us to send you new undies?" "AHH!!! M-mom, that won't be necessary!" "Hehe, just kidding honey, you're old enough to take care of yourself." "Big brother, I'm going to miss you a WHOLE lot!" "I'm gonna miss you too Felicity. Oh, almost forgot. Here you go Felicity." Elliot handed a small gift-wrapped box to Felicity and smiled. "Well, go ahead and open it." Felicity quickly unwrapped the box. Her eyes then sparkled brightly as she was mesmerized by the gift. "WOW!!! My very own deck! It's a Naturia deck!!!!" "Last time when we went to the mall I saw you checking out this deck. By the look of your face, I can tell you really wanted it." Felicity then excitedly leap towards Elliot to give him a big hug. "Whoa! Wow Felicity you're getting really big. I hope you enjoy your deck." "I will!" With that, Elliot headed towards Duel Academy with a smile on his face and shining confidence in his eyes.

As the morning progresses, Elliot finally made his way to Duel Academy. "Well, here I am." He inhale deeply as he was thinking towards the future at the academy. "I better get going, don't wanna miss out on the opening ceremony." As he took a step towards the academy, he felt an instant chill that made him extremely nervous. "Uh, what was that just now? Am I going crazy or something? {Rumble, rumble} Uh-oh, maybe I shouldn't have skipped out on breakfast after all.... Well, better get going...." He made his way to the ceremony just to found out that it was already starting. "Gah!!! The ceremony's starting! I thought I was early!" He checked his watch and noticed that the screen had a smudge. When he wiped it, he found out that he was one hour late of being early. "Uh.... Well, so much for being early.... Oh well, at least I'm not late." Elliot then made his way into the crowd of people. As he was walking by, he noticed quite an interesting cast of characters. "Hmm, these people seem like pro duelists. I'm probably gonna get picked on because I'm in the lowest dorm. No, I gotta believe in my deck! That's right Elliot Rune, push on!" With overwhelming confidence, Elliot made his way through the crowds. He stared up at the group of teachers, and noticed right away one of them was a legend of dueling. "I remember I saw him before in a duel on tv. He won his opponent so easily. I just can't remember his name." Frustrated by the fact that he has a short memory, Elliot sat down on the chair and waited for the speech to begin.

"Ayah!!!! this is gonna be great...I can already see the chancellor...and right next to him.....is that Jaz-kun..........I wonder if he can hear me from all the way over here?" With that she inhaled deeply and tried shouting over the crowd, though since the meeting hadn't started, she was pretty inaudible to anyone except the people next to her, "Oh!!! Jazuuuuuuu-kuuuunnnnnnn!!!!!It's me Kimi!!!!!!don't you remember!!!!!"

 

[Meanwhile]

 

Jazeth had just been talked to by what looked like a student in a suit, this had to be the chancellor, but he didn't pay too much mind to that. "Yes, I'm Jazeth Zavara, It's a pleasure to meet you Mr.?" he asked for his name as he extended his arm for a hand shake.

Donovyn woke up some time around 6:30 AM on opening day. After getting dressed in his usual attire, he put his duel disk on his dresser and got his deck out of his drawer. He examined every single card carefully, and checking them off a checklist he kept with them. He did this every morning to make sure no one had switched, or added or taken, any of his cards. After he was satisfied his deck was okay, he erased the checks he made on the list, and put his deck into the pocket on his jacket. He arrived at the academy shortly before the ceremonies had begun. A Slifer Red student sat down in the chair he'd been standing behind. He looked down with his eyes, and closed his eyes. "Heh," he all he had to say.

Elliot calmed himself into his chair and sighed. "Well, Mom said there was a surprise in my deck. I wonder what it is?" Elliot took out his deck and was extremely surprised at what he was looking at. "Wah! Th-this is a new deck! It's an Ice Barrier deck! Wow, I guess I wasn't the only one to have gotten such a shock." He then stared closely at the top card of his deck. It was Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. It glimmered in a way as if it was trying to tell him something. Then all of a sudden he heard a loud shout coming from the crowd. In his surprised he dropped Brionac to the ground. "Ah, what was that? Sounds like a girl shouting something. Huh, Brionac, it fell." As Elliot reached down to grab his card, he suddenly felt that strange chilly sensation again. "Uhg, that feeling again...." As he picked the card up, it glimmered again as he put it back on top of his new deck. Elliot then sat back on his chair and started to wonder about what had just happened. "I can't put my finger on it, but there's definately something wierd about this card. Could it have something to do with that chill I felt? I hope this deck is not..... HAUNTED!!!!!" Elliot yelled out with an extremely loud voice. Some of the people near him could hear it, but it was not loud enough to cause quite that much of a commotion. He then covered his mouth in surprise of his sudden uproar. He then quietly though things through in his mind. "(No, there's no way. There's no such things as ghost. I'm just nervous, that's all.)" Elliot then calmed himself again and quietly waited for the speech to begin.

"I can assure you, the deck is most certainlynot Haunted, Slifer boy," Donovyn said, lowering his eyes again, "the cards are ink on paper, there is no possible way they can be haunted." He raised his eyes again to see if the chancellor was anywhere in sight. "Though, it is quite impressive you have an Ice Barrier deck, though, it would seem, this is your first time seeing the deck, meaning someone slipped it to you, your parents, perhaps?" he closed his eyes again, "you'd think such things were obvious. Still, as a Slifer student, I'd keep possession of something like Brionac under wraps as long as possible. Some people don't think Slifers are worthy of such cards."

Zack was the seventh person in the front row "Well, at least being 2 hours early means I get a good seat." Zack thought while his duel monster spirits appeared "Ooo! I'm so exited!" screeched Avian "Oh, and you think I'm not?" asked Zack "well uh n-" "exactly." responded Zack. "Now, which deck do you think I should use? Fusion, or Synchro?" "Toss a coin, heads Synchro, tails Fusion" "ok" Zack responded while flipping a coin "tails, that means you Avian." "WOO!" Yelled Avian "calm down... there might be someone else around here that can hear you." responded Zack. Zack then heard what the guy said about cards only being paper with ink, he turned around "The cards are more then just paper with ink, they are spirits themselves, I for one can hear what they say." Zack said "and I felt that chill lot's of times Slifer, it means that the card is happy to be with you if you wonder how I know this, your card's chill was so strong I could feel it." Zack explained to the guy with the chill.

"Kimi kept on shouting up until someone shouted something about a haunted deck. "hmm, so I was right, there really are gonna be interesting people in this academy....I wonder if it's a zombie deck? or.......he's just crazy? I'll have to find out later. "with that she finally sat down,, seeing as her cousin was paying her no mind. "ugh....Jazu-kun never pays attention to anyone....why'd I expect anything from him anyway....." she lets out a huge sigh and simply looks over towards some other students, cause of the different uniforms it was so multi-colored, she herself loved her Blue outfit, even if she did "tweak" it a little bit. but what she really thought added color, were the floating creatures around a select few students.

"Wow, you really know your stuff. You are dead on about my parents giving these to me as a present. Ra Yellow, pretty cool, although with that brain of yours you could probably made Obelisk Blue easily. Oh by the way thanks for the tip about hiding these. My name's Elliot nice to meet ya." Elliot then smile and reached out his hand, waiting for a response.

Donovyn lowered his eyes at the introduction, then bowed his head for a better look. "Donovyn." he said, accepting the handshake. "Donovyn Kaiba, and yes, I am related to Seto Kaiba." he said in the same voice he'd been using. You're right, I probably could have made Obelisk Blue, but first year students tend to not be Obelisk unless they go to special prep schools, which I elected to skip. I'd much rather get in to Obelisk by my grades and achievements than through shortcuts. That way, there can be no question about my skills an knowledge as a duelist."

"Hello! Did anyone hear what I just said?" Zack asked.

"Of course! I think you're also right. I mean I did hear about duel spirits when I was younger and also I saw on tv something about a Crimson Dragon. I don't know if those things are related or not though. But anyways you really seem to know about this." Just then, Elliot pulled out his Brionac and stared at it closely. Brionac glimmered again, this time, Elliot saw it wink at him. "Huh, whoa! Brionac just winked at me!"

"See? Well, Iv'e heard that the Kaiba's are always like that, treating the cards like they're nothing, and that's how they ALWAYS lose when it comes to dueling against believers. By the way, my names Zack, Obelisk Blue, first year HERE, they call me the Stardust King." Zack said while holding out his hand for a handshake.

Elliot smiled and shook Zack's hand. "I see, the 'Stardust King'. Could that be because you have a Stardust Dragon?" Just then Elliot saw what appeared to be Elemental Hero Avian. "Ah! Is that a duel spirit? It looks like Avian!" Elliot tried rubbing his eyes and when he looked up, Avian was still there.

"Yeah, I heard, so, what you're saying is that this:" he pulled out his deck and showed the top card to Zack, it was Dragon Master Knight, "actually exists somewhere? I find that a little hard to believe." He gave a smirk, and a chuckle, then continued "though it does seem you two have quite the active imagination, and there may be some duelists who excel while pretending to listen to their cards, at the end of the day, the cards are ink on paper, and these "duel spirits" you refer to are a fairy tale. A fascinating fairy tale, but still just a fairy tale."

Elliot again rubbed his eyes, but the duel spirit just stared at him. He though of standing up from his chair and quickly running off. But he decided not to because that would attract unwanted attention.

Zack shook Eliot's hand "Yep, it's true, I have a Stardust Dragon." Zack showed Eliot the Stardust Dragon "One of my best friends." Zack said while he saw Stardust Dragon appear beside him "and if you Kaiba, truly think that way, i'll show you, later, whenever possible, we duel, i can say, i'll win, and yes I can see Dragon Master Knight. Do you ever feel a little heat wave when there shouldn't? Well if you do, it means that your cards don't like the way you treat em." Zack said.

"heh, I wear a leather jacket about 90% of the time, yes, I do get hot occasionally. Even despite my non-belief in your fairy-tale, I do keep my cards in good shape," he replaced them in his pocket, "and make sure no one messes with them, every morning." He crossed his arms and looked through the crowd for the teenage Chancellor again. "I guess I'll catch him in the speech he should give soon," he said aloud, and continued speaking to Zack, "though, I wouldn't turn down your challenge. We could request to duel during the ceremony. From what I understand there will be at least one duel. It would make sense."

"Huh, a duel during the ceremony...." Elliot wondered to himself deeply. "(Maybe if they duel, I can see for myself if duel spirits are real or not.)" Elliot then talked to the two determine students "Usually I would try to stop bickers, but I would like to see a duel."

"(It's people like him that I hate the most, the best Rival for me... heh.)" Zack thought "Sorry guys, i'm gonna use my Synchro deck first, i'll use my Fusion in the next duel." Zack told the spirits in the Fusion deck "Aww-man." said Avian. "Heh, I figured the first thing you guys would ask me is: 'Why am I in the Obelisk Blue.'" Zack said.
