Second Arc: The Search

With the siege of Seireitei finally settled down, the Shinigamis are now preparing to search for the artifact called the Heigou. However, they are not the only ones after it. Fui, thanks to the information given by his doll, Kanki Ushio, has finally discovered the existence of the Heigou, and he knows where to look for it, unknown to the shinigamis. He has already mobilized the bounts to search for the artifact, which he views as the key to the downfall of Seireitei.

Now, it is another day for the shinigamis. The morning sun rose up without hassle, and it was peaceful. A cold draft of wind blew from someplace, giving that sense of relaxation and happiness. Seireitei was greeted with a glorious morning, despite having most of the structures in ruins. Yomi, in particular, was one of the few people who woke up early during that day. He has now refreshed his powers and strength, and is now ready to go on the search for the Heigou.

"Well, might as well start an early morning broadcast." Yomi smiled to himself, snapping his fingers.

Almost immediately, a young man, around early 20's, appeared before him, bowing low. The boy has short, cropped auburn hair and has a pair of magical-white eyes. He wears on his right arm, the badge of the 13th Division Lieutenant.

"Yes, Juukenjiro-dono?" the boy asked.

"Sho, can you set up a Tenteikūra for me?" Yomi asked in a warm tone.

The boy nodded casually, and started pushing his sleeves back. He then drew specific markings on his arms before extending them forward.

"Black and white net. Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns and belts. Footprints, distant thunder, sharp peak, engulfing land, hidden in the night, sea of clouds, blue line. Form a circle and fly though the heavens." Sho drew in a short breath, "Bakudo #77, Tenteikūra!"

A small, luminescent window appeared in front of Sho's outstretched palms. He gave the go signal to Yomi, who graciously nodded in appreciation.

"Fellow Captains, and Jii-san if you're listening too," Yomi cleared his throat, "The search for the Heigou will begin today. Kushinada-san, I'm expecting you at the 13th Division barracks, and so are the people who'll be joining in the search. The rest may stay here and defend Seireitei should an attack happens. I repeat, everyone who will go with me to the Human World to search for the Heigou, please come to the 13th Division barracks. That is all."

Yomi ended his sentence with a slight smile before rounding back to Sho. He gave the boy a tap to the shoulder, prompting the lieutenant to end the kido.

"Prepare the Senkaimon for me and my team, please?" Yomi said towards Sho. The latter immediately stepped away from his position, and used Shunpo.

Now Yomi waits for those who will come with him to the Human World. It was only a matter of time.

-------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Zasalamel, who was still spying at the Shinigamis, was within the vicinity when he heard Yomi broadcast his message. A look of interest flashed within his bloody-red eyes, and his face became lighter.

"Heigou? What the hell is that?" Zasalamel pondered to himself.

He knew better than to ask, of course. He would simply have to follow the shinigamis to the location of the artifact. They will lead him to it, unknowingly, and of course, as a sign of compliment, Zasalamel will not attack them. He has already brought with him a few of his modified hollows, all waiting inside his special Garganta. He would use them later for distractions. For now, he was more curious with the thing called Heigou.

A rest would be nice, especially after today. I can already see my bed now. Sayori thought her eyes closed and a small smile on her face. She was about to leave when she felt a tap on her shoulder. It was Saren asked her if she had an extra room in her division.

Sayori thought about it for a while. "Well, I do have some room in my division barracks, but that is where most of my squad members sleep. I doubt you would want to stay there, especially since I wont be there." She tossed a teasin smile in Saren's direction.

"But you are more than welcome to stay in the Kuchiki mannor. I'm sure I could pull a few strings, and get you a decent guest room." Sayori called a Hell Butterfly over and whispred a quick message before it flew off.

"To my lieutenant. Knowing him he was meditating through the whole ordeal. I sware he can meditate through anything." She said to Saren before she shunpo'd away, leading him towards the Kuchiki Mannor. Once Saren caught up, they walked through the japanese style sliding doors and she took off her shoes.

"The elders are a sticker for old japanese customs." She mumbled taking him down long elegantly designed hallways. Pictures of different members of the Kuchiki family were framed and hanging on the walls. As they walked Sayori's eyes passed over one picture in particular sadness filling her eyes.

However, she kept walking until she came to the wing where the rooms were. "I hate this place sometimes. I once got lost when I was a child. Didn't know which way to go...But with how loud I was crying I was found pretty quick." She laughed, "You can bet I was never alone in this house again."

Sayori stopped at a door, opened it, and stepped aside. "I hope you like it. It's one of our better guest rooms, and quite spacious as you can see." She then smiled, "I guess I will leave you now. Sleep well. Oh, and if you are coming with us tomorrow I would very much enjoy it if we teamed up. It should be fun, think about it, yes?" Sayori gave a respectful bow befoe heading off to her room.

~Next Day...I should type faster -_-~

Unfortunately for Sayori she was awaken early by the maids in the mannor. "Great." She muttered and quickly qot up and got ready. She wondered if Saren was alredy awake, but on her way to the room she got a message frm Yomi. Telling all those participating in the mission to meet at his barracks. "Guess we're starting." She was halfway to Saren's room when she forgot she left her Haori in her room. "I'll get it on my way out."

Saren woke up to the sound of Yomi's announcement. He begrudgingly sat up straight from the bed. His anger was soon replaced by gladness as he remembered being accompanied by Sayori to his room the day before. Perhaps it wasn't as bad a morning as it'll turn out to be after all. He quickly rose up from the bed, and got dressed. Amazingly, his outfit was clean, and looked new. He immediately got dressed and made his way out towards the door. As he took a few steps forward, he saw Sayori.

Well, my day just got better. Saren thought to himself.

"A pleasant morning, Kuchiki-san. Thanks for allowing me to sleep over, and for getting my clothes cleaned too," Saren motioned to his outfit before continuing with a smile, "Are you perhaps going to the 13th Division barracks? I certainly would like to go with you there."

Saren was unnervingly nicer than yesterday. If Yomi or any other captain saw him today, they'd surely think it wasn't Saren at all. Then again, the Quincy has been known to be nicer to Sayori compared to any other captain and/or shinigami in Soul Society.

"Well you seem much beter today. I'm glad that I was able to provide you with comfortable sleeping arrangements." Sayori said noticing his chipper mood, and unnaturaly unbeat attitude. Although, she's only known him for one day, so maybe he's always like this in the morning. "At any rate, in my haste to get ready I left my Haori in my room. Give me a quick minute."

With a swift smile, she ran to her room and grabbed the forgotten artile of clothing. It was then she noticed she hadn't had her sword either. "Really, Sayori? You are so forgetful!" She scolded herself, hurring bak to Saren fixing her Kensaikan on the way. "I hate these things. I can't ever get them in right." After a while of messing with them she was finally satisfied.

"Now off to the 13th Division barracks! Race you there!" She laughed and shunpo'd away the second her childish request left her lips.

During the day, Iyusaka was busy gathering his things for the upcoming mission. When he had finished, it was already nightime. Iyusaka was in his room getting ready for bed. As he was about to go to sleep, Iyusaka decided to look at the stars for a bit. "I hope nothing bad happens while the captains are away. But I guess with the Captain-Commander here, I can rest a little easier." Iyusaka said to himself as he went to bed. Takeda was loudly snoring as he was asleep, however, his face looked peaceful, not like his usual self. As the morning came, Iyusaka was already out of bed, making a list of things for his division to day daily while he is gone. Soon after that, Iyusaka heard the announcement and made his way to the 13th Division Barracks. Along the way, he saw Takeda. "What a surprise, you're usually always late." "Tsch, well this is important. Besides, I had a wonderful dream yesterday of slaughtering hollows." "Humph, I guess you would have a dream like that Takeda." The two quickly madse their way to the 13th Division Barracks. Takeda simply stood there awaiting the arrival of the others, his face showed signs of impatience. Iyusaka shunpo'd to Yomi who was awaiting the others. "Well Cpt. Yomi, it looks like this might be an interesting vacation wouldn't you say?" Iyusaka asked jokingly.

Kaosu Looked at Takeda as he spoke to him. He gave him a blank expression not accepting or declining his request. He said he was allowed to think so that is what he was going to do. "I'll give it some thought." Kaosu said once Takeda had finished. Kaosu rose from his seat and walked out of the meeting room. He had no where to stay for the night but that didn't matter he wasn't going to sleep anyway. Kaosu immediately walked around seireitei until he found a area filled with trees, there was no one around to be bothered. This was perfect. The bow formed on his right shoulder. Kaosu formed an arrow he looked at the trees. He slightly tilted his head then spotted another tree that was deep within the forest. Kaosu let the arrow fly. It curved slightly but hit the wrong tree not being able to curve back again. Kaosu did this again. This time it curved right to avoid one tree then curved to much left and missed the target.

Kaosu sighed. He practiced for two hours until he had finally mastered the ability to curve one arrow, The trees that had been in the path were now diced. Kaosu walked deeper into the forest and practiced again but this time with three arrows. He could control two arrows nicely but the third strayed off. Kaosu fired another round, the same result. He concentrated more then let the reaitsu around him flow steadily and smoothly. Three arrows formed and he set his mind on the target and released the arrows, flew on a path drawn in Kaosu's mind. They curved around four tree's zig-zagging and slammed into the tree. The midsection of the tree was blown apart and the tree fell to the ground. Kaosu jumped out of its path but it collided with another tree and was held somewhat upward. Kaosu continued to train, using more arrows each time. it took another full hour until he was finally able to control seven arrows. At this high of a number he wasn't able to control them when he released them but before releasing them he could determine their path and their speed.

Kaosu then formed ten arrows, at this point there wasn't much of a forest around him but he could always have gone deeper. He raised his right arm pointing it into the sky. Drawing a windy path in his mind so the arrows would criss-cross each other as they flew high into the air, then curve and skyrocket straight downwards whee Kaosu was standing. Kaosu released the arrows and some of them collided the rest of them shot straight up into the air and didn't come down. "Hope no one thinks I'm in trouble." Kaosu said aloud laughing to himself. Kaosu then attempted this again. The same result. Kaosu noticed that his arm was starting to hurt from all this practice, and it was a bit shaky. He sighed. Kaosu rested for fifteen minutes, thinking that was enough he began to practice again. This time none of the arrows collided but they did not curve back down. Kaosu counted aloud to the number ten while he went over the path numerous times in his mind. He let the forming arrows go once he was done counting. They criss-crossed never colliding when they reached the peak of the drawn path the began to arch turning back towards the ground. But they did not fully turn back down and flew off slamming into the ground in some deserted area. Kaosu's arm felt as if it was burning slightly. He knew he needed to stop but he wanted to master this one technique before doing so.

Kaosu calmly formed the ten arrows. He then said "One." while in his mind he drew the path with the first arrow. "Two." now the second path was drawn, "Three." He then drew the third, he counted up to ten individually drawing the path for each arrow. Kaosu then released the arrows. They flew with intense speeds intertwining so close they almost looked like a solid beam. They then reached the peak of the path and turned extremely sharp and sky rocketed down towards Kaosu. Kaosu hiyrenrakued out of the way. The arrows collided with the ground and formed a gigantic crater. Kaosu grinned, but his arm was now trembling heavily. He couldn't finish practicing all the things he wished to but he mastered a great technique. "Now , I'll be able to train by shooting myself." He chuckled then walked out of the remaining forest area and found a large cliff with a guillotine on it.

"So, thats what it looks like." Kaosu said with interest. He then walked To the edge of the cliff and saw that he was in the middle of the seireitei he could practically see it all from here. Kaosu pulled out some silver tubes He poured the liquid down his right arm. He felt the pain subside. He couldn't heal with the tubes but he could use them as a pain-killer. It was still very dark out and he knew he could get about three hours of sleep which was just enough for him. Kaosu passed out laying on the peak of Sōkyoku Hill.

Kaosu awoke to the sound of Yomi's voice radiating throughout Seireitei. "Hmm, well guess the search is going to begin soon." Kaosu said to himself. Kaosu jumped onto a white building that was raised higher then Sōkyoku Hill he jumped down it like steps. once he was low enough to the ground he hiyrenrakued to the 13th division Barracks. Even though he didn't know where it was he could sense Yomi's reaitsu so he found the place easily. He sat down when he arrived and waited for the rest to arrive.

[spoiler=OOC] Sorry for such the large post I just really wanted to improve that and I forgot to put it in his app that he could do it so I figured I would just have him learn it since he had a whole night to do so. That was my largest post on here ever haha again sorry.

Takeda noticed the arrival of Kaosu, so he quickly made his way over to him. "Hey, so whataya think? Ya wanna team up or what?" Takeda asked curiously yet he tried to make his face in a "I don't care" manner. Iyusaka also notice Kaosu arriving. "Good morning Kaosu!" Iyusaka said from afar as he waved his hand at him and gave a friendly smile. Takeda decided to sit closeby against a tree near Kaosu. "Look Quincy, you may not like us Shinigami, but at least you could try working with us. Afterall, I don't think the Bounts or Arrancars would enjoy working with Quincies either, well the Arrancars at least..... So do you accept my offer?" Takeda asked once more hoping for a reply.

Unlike Saren, Kaosu did not really have a problem with the shinigami. His hatred rested with the bount. Just as Kaosu was about to accept Takeda he herd Iyusaka. "Hello Iyusaka." Kaosu said with a wave and a smile. He then turned back to Takeda to respond "Ye-" He was cut off by Takeda. What Takeda just remarked slightly disgruntled him. "Look, my name is Kaosu. Refer to me as so. Also, the only shinigami I really have a problem with are the ones who think to highly of themselves. If you would wait a moment you would see that I am going to accept your offer." Kaosu said folding his arms. "I hope Sayori gets here I have a badly injured arm and I need her to tend to it if she will." He added

Just then Uwaki shunpoed to the meeting area. He looked around seeing that there was a quincy. "Why are we sinking so low as to work with such vermin. I refuse to associate myself with such pathetic waste of space." Uwaki said. "Also what is going on? Squad Eight has not been informed on the matter in anyway and my Captain seems to be furious!" Uwaki looked around noticing he was in the presence of captains and he lowered his stance cowering slightly. "My apologies for such rudeness I had a chaotic morning so far." Uwaki said with the utmost respectful tone. Kaosu completely ignored Uwaki's comment.

"Oh, Kaosu huh? Well it's nice to see a Quincy that's not the Soul Society's enemy. And I'm sorry for interrupting, I'm just a little impatient is all." Takeda stated. Iyusaka simply smiled at the surprise of how Takeda was acting. "(I guess he does have a kinder side to him. Heh, and a Quincy who doesn't hate Shinigami. The wonderful world is just full of surprises isn't it?)" Iyusaka thought happily to himself. Just then, Uwaki, the lieutenant of the 8th Division arrived. Takeda stared at Uwaki intently, but then looked away without a scolding. "(Ah, another rare moment in Takeda's life. I have never seen him act so calmly since back when he was my lieutenant.) Uwaki, over here!" Iyusaka waved and gave a reasurring smile.

[spoiler=OOC:] he is a vice captain.

"It's alright." Kaosu gave him a sincere smile and stuck out his hand offering a formal greeting since he just introduced himself. Kaosu wouldn't have a problem with these shinigami as long as they didn't try and do anything shady towards him. Although this new shinigami that just arrived is a bit unsettling.

Uwaki walked over to Iyusaka. "Yes, Captain Iyusaka? Sorry again for the rudeness it's just our squad was not informed of any of the situation as I was away on a mission and came back to find seireitei nearly leveled with no explanation. You could see why I acted in such a manor." Uwaki bowed apologetically.

[spoiler=OOC:]Oh, hehe, I've gotten use to call them lieutenants, alright vice captain, sorry 'bout that.

Takeda shook Kaosu's hand and gave a confident smile. "Hehe, glad to have you onboard Kaosu." Takeda said as he let go of Kaosu's hand and put it back on his side. "With our strengths combine, I bet the enemies'll have a really tough time dealing with us, hehe!" As Uwaki made his way to Iyusaka and bowed, Iyusaka simply gestured him up. "Hey Uwaki, no need to be so formal. We're all friends here, so just take it easy." Iyusaka stated as he gave another reasurring smile. "Anyways, there was a delay in the sent out of Hell Butterflies, so sorry if your division didn't get the full report. Anyways, if you haven't heard yet, yesterday morning and the night before yesterday, a group of Bounts and Arrancars attacked the Seireitei. I wasn't present for the initial attack however and cannot provide much detail." Iyusaka explained.

Sayori stopped in the middle of all of the people in the room. She quickly looked around ignoring all the other faces, before smiling widely and throwing her arms in the air. "Yes! I won the race!! Take that Saren!" Sayori laughed finally becoming aware of all the others in the room. She brought her hand up in a wave, "Morning, you all. I hope you all rested up, because today is gonna be another long day."

Kaosu's eyes widened in delight when he felt Sayori getting closer. He turned and faced her. She seemed to be in a really excited mood. "Excuse me Sayori, Could I ask you a favor?" Kaosu raised his right arm revealing that it resembled being burned and it was shaking vigorously. "If you would be so kind, as to heal my arm?" Kaosu asked in a humble tone. He was regretting shaking hands with the captain now aw it prooved very painful. "I trainned relentlessly and overworked myself. But no pain no gain." Kaosu said smirking.

As Sayori got to the 13th Division Barracks, she waved cheerfully to everyone. Iyusaka smiled and wave back at her. "Good morning Cpt. Kuchiki, oh by the way, my arm is feeling much better thanks to your treatment." Iyusaka happily stated. Takeda's face showed a comically grim expression. "(How can she be so energetic this early in the morning?......)" Takeda thought to himself. Iyusaka then remembered an important detail and quickly turned to Uwaki. "Uwaki, I almost forgot, but is your current 3rd seat of the 8th Division a shinigami named Trace Moryu?" Iyusaka quickly asked.

Sayori, hearing Kasou's request, smiled cheerfully and bounded over tilll she stopped next to him. She examined his arm, assesing the damage and what kido would be best. "Aw, this one will be easy. No challenge at all." She grinned rubbing her hands together, "Oh, and morning Iyusaka-taicho, Hothead, Uwakai-fukutaicho. I'm glad your arm is feeling better, it had been a while since I had to heal broken bones. So I was worried about the after effects." Sayori then focused on Kasou's arm and both her hands and his arm had a light green color. It wasn't long before she removed her hands from his arm, and grinned. "And walla! Good as new!"

"I'm so excited! I haven't been to the human realm in a while, let alone this South America place! It's gonna be awesome!" She laughed feeling like a child in a candy store. However, it was short lived when she visibly deflated dropping her hands to the side, "But...I hate Jungles..."

Upon hearing "Hothead", Takeda's face became red as he pointed to Sayori with irritation and embarrassment. "HEY!!!! I'M NOT A HOTHEAD GOT THAT???!!! AND I DO HAVE A NAME SAYORI!!!!" Takeda yelled. He then quickly calmed himself as he crossed his arms and looked towards another direction, pouting while he did it. "Tsch, it's just a stupid jungle. The worst thing a jungle could do to you is that you get bitten by a stupid snake or something. What is more worrying is the enemies. Other than that the stupid jungle isn't gonna do a damn thing to you so quite with the whinning." Takeda stated. Iyusaka's face grew comically grim as he saw Takeda's reaction. "(Well, so much for calm Takeda......)" Iyusaka thought to himself. His face then quickly turned normal again as he awaited a response from Uwaki.

Sayori instantly paled when she heard 'snakes'. "S-s-snakes? You mean like those nasty, little scaly things that move on their bellies. And if they bite you, you could die!? Those kind of snakes!" She shuddered, "I HATE snakes! They're so scary, and-Hey! I am not whining! And of ourse you're a Hothead, if you weren't then you wouldn't have yelled at me. So until you prove me wrong, which of course would be never, you're gonna be Hothead to me." She smiled innocently, before paling again. "Snakes....."

Kaosu smiled when Sayori began to heal his arm. Whenit was all finished he bowed slightly. "Thank you." He said to her. Kaosu raised his hand and moved his fingers, the pain was gone as well as the injuries.

Uwaki waved to Sayori when she arrived. But then he turned his attention back to Iyusaka. "Excuse me? No, there is no such person on our entire squad. Why do you ask?" Uwaki gave Iyusaka a puzzled face. He itched his forehead waiting for a response. "I have never heard that name before, come to think of it." He added

"I see you're all getting re-acquainted, fellas." Yomi said, appearing from the side of Iyusaka. Saren was walking with him, looking rather serious.

Yomi's face can be described as extremely tired, yet still calm. He exhumes this aura of tenacity and dedication to his work, yet still keep a very friendly and warm feel towards the people around him. Saren, on the other hand, seemed to be back to his usual I-hate-you-shinigamis attitude, except when he face Sayori.

"Saren and I were talking for a while now, ever since Iyusaka arrived. We've been discussing the approach we'll take into finding the Heigou. Oh, by the way Captain Iyusaka," Yomi gave the captain a warm smile, "I'm pretty sure this is going to be a very interesting vacation indeed."

He motioned for everyone present to come closer towards the center of the barracks, where a round table can be seen. On top of the table sat what looked like a hologram projector, the likes that hasn't been seen in Seireitei for quite a time now. It seemed extremely new and sophisticated. Yomi prodded the device with a long index finger, triggering it to turn on. It showed a dynamic jungle landscape with a H.U.D regarding temperature, humidity, spirit particle concentration, etc.

"Fancy device, really. Not to mention fairly expensive. But the SRDI of the 12th Division outdid themselves once again.Very neat as it shows the general landscape of the area." Yomi explained, giving a mild briefing to everyone regarding the device. "It's called a Spirit Particle Landscape Position Device or SPLPD for the 12th Division techies, and for us, it shall be called as simply a 'Map'. Now, on to our agenda."

Yomi nodded towards Saren to start the discussion. He knew the Quincy has gained enough information from the Captain Commander even without asking too many questions. Since the Heigou gave a slight hint of its signature reiatsu, Saren simply had to 'feel' the unique traces lingering around the space the Captain Commander occupies. He pointed a finger to the device and rotated the map so that it now stands vertically, showing everyone the overhead view of the jungle.

"This is the lay of the land. An expansive jungle lush in trees, animals, and most of all," Saren gave a deadly look on his face, "Spirit particles. The place seemed to have a concentrated layer of Spirit particles comparable to Seireitei. Had I not read the reports given by the 12th Division to Yomi, I wouldn't have believed that the jungle is lined by spirit particles that are more than a hundred times greater in volume than any place in the human world."

Saren pointed to two points on the map, which both showed a blank space. There's also a fizzy look around the two points, as if there's static.

"These are the points I've specifically marked as the two areas most saturated with spirit particles. It's also a viable spot to search for the Heigou. However, I don't think your Senkaimon can be opened anywhere near. We're going to enter the jungle through here," Saren pointed to a spot about 100 miles away from the two points, "This is the safest spot of all. Any other place and we could end up appearing somewhere else."

Saren stopped as soon as he saw Yomi stepped forward, looking more serious and passionate to the mission.

"This means that the area we're going to be searching in may be a breeding ground for hollows, and maybe even unknown beings that thrives on spirit particles. I, for one, would not want to take any chances on this mission. We're going to search in teams of at least three to four people. Saren will compose of Team A as the leader, and I will be Team B's leader. Kaosu, you're automatically under me. I need a quincy on my team as well. So the rest of you can choose which to follow. Saren and I will be having a constant update through these," Yomi showed a pair of headsets, "And also, each of you will receive a transmitter too, so we can report on your positions."

Yomi handed out the transmitter, which looked like an ear-piece with a small mic attached. He then moved back towards the map, and continued his speech.

"Any questions? Please, I would appreciate it if we can take this mission with utmost caution, that means no one must get careless," Yomi shot a wild glance towards Takeda then glanced back towards the rest, "I'm pretty sure Jii-san would want to see us all back here in one piece."

Yomi gave them a warm smile and a wink before waiting for their reactions.

It was finally the next day, and Turokenji still sat at his desk, finishing his paper work. He was dedicated to Seireitei and so he had to finish these before he could go to sleep. He was now writing about the Bounts. The Bount that attacked were three in number. One who used a doll of liquid diamond and a hilt which could produce many blades from the hilt, one who used dolls of fire and ice, and finally the Bount Leader, Fui. Fui is a most dangerous enemy. He singlehandedly crushed Seireitei about a century ago. He possesses a doll that controls water, one that controls lightning, and a third whose ability cannot be determined at this time. His doll which controls water seemed to be his main one, for he uses it the most. His powers since then seemed to have weakened severely. He no longer uses what we believed to be a fourth doll, for if he had it, Seireitei would most likely not have been standing upon my arrival. I only hope that Seireitei captures the Heigou, which is believed to have fueled Fui's power during that time. With it, Seireitei can prevent Fui from destroying our world and ruling over the Human Realm.

With that, Turokenji finished his report and closed his book. Just then Yomi's announcement came and he listened to it. "I'd better head over there to see them off." he said to himself as he stood up from his desk. He walked to the door of his office and then opened it and walked out. He closed the door behind him and shunpo'd off, leaving a gust behind him.

Meanwhile, in the Squad 13 Barracks, a figure walked into the room just as Yomi was finished giving his presentation. "Schwoop Dooby Do Wow. Dooby Doo Schwoopy Do Weeeee!" the figure exclaimed as he came into the room full of people. He wore a normal Captain's haori with the sleeves cut off so that the black sleeves of his shinigami uniform were visible. On the back of the haori was stitched the number "8" in black calligraphy. The man wore black sandals instead of the normal brown and white socks. His zanpakutou, which had a dark blue hilt, was in a dark blue sheathe strapped to the left side of his waist. He was fairly tall, had tanned skin, and had an athletic build. His black hair, which was spiked in the back and went down to the back of his neck, also had red streaks on both sides of it. This was Karek Shirikoya, the 8th Division Captain.

"Yo!" he said, greeting everyone present. "Just got back from my mission and I was told that you guys got attacked. So, what's all this about going to the human realm? Going on a treasure hunt?" Karek asked the group. He then looked among the faces in the group and saw Uwaki standing among then. "Yo Uwaki. How come you didn't tell me you were apart of the treasure hunt?" he called out to Uwaki.

Spiritual Pressure: 10/10

Total: 66/70

Note: The reason for his stats being like one over the normal for a regular Captain is because he's not really a regular Captain. He has a technique that allows him to combine with his zanpakutou, giving him a huge powerup at the risk of losing the ability to use his Bankai for like two days. With a powerup like that, he's pretty much gonna be stronger than the average 65/70. Just letting you know why. He doesn't like to use the technique alot though, so most likely, he'll use it when he's fighting someone super strong.

Fui sat in his throne, contemplating how the Bount would achieve their mission today. It was now morning, the day after he had attacked Seireitei. His attack had failed, even though it was only to shake up the Shinigami and put them in their place. He now had to retrieve that Heigou to regain his powers if they were taken from him by the item. He just hoped that the team he had sent out to grab it would not fail him. He stood up and then looked around.

"Reinhardt, Baldur, Kasaka, Asaka. Have you all prepared for your mission." Fui asked them all.

"There's nothing to-" Kasaka began. "Prepare for." Asaka finished for him. "We've got this-" Asaka began. "In the bag." Kasaka finished.

Fui looked towards the two, a smirk growing on his face. "I see your eagerness, but may I remind you. The shinigami almost destroyed you Kasaka had I not intervened by sending in Kanki Ushio. You must prepare yourself both mentally and physically." Fui said to him.

"You're right. I won't fail like that again Master Fui." he said, bowing his head slightly. Asaka simply watched Fui and her brother, only wanting to get on to the mission before them.

Kasen was one of the first to wake up within Hueco Mundo. As soon as he did, he got up and sonido'd, heading towards the palace. Once he reached it, he ran towards the chambers of his teammates and cupped his hands to his mouth as he called out. "Sven, Izearya, Reifujin. It's time for us to go. Wake up." he called out to them. He then stopped and sonido'd back to the center of the palace, waiting for them to meet him there. It was time for them to set out on their mission. He wanted to tail those Bount and find out more about them. They interested him. Maybe, if he got the chance, he could even fight one. This made him even happier, and this was seen by the huge smile which now spread across his face.

"No?! I see....." Iyusaka said as his face showed worrying signs. Yomi and Saren then did the mission briefing for all of the captains to hear. During the last part of the briefing, Takeda noticed Yomi staring at him. "(Huh? What the, why did he stare at me? I'm not gonna do anything rash....... or maybe......)" Takeda thought to himself as he rushed towards the group. After the briefing, Karek Shirikoya arrived. Iyusaka was glad to see another fellow captain arriving. "Ah Shirikoya, you're here. Fashionably late are we?" Iyusaka joked. "Well I'm glad you appeared alright, anyways, we were just discussing the mission and how the groups are split up into two. Group A will be led by that Quincy, Saren, and Group B will be led by Cpt. Yomi over here." Iyusaka explained. Takeda simply stared at Shirikoya with confident eyes. "Hehe, Shirikoya..... Hope you didn't get too injured." Takeda stated. "Anyways, I'm gonna be Yomi's group since Kaosu is the only Quincy around here with no attitude problems." Takeda stated. "Hehe, calm down Takeda. I guess I'll just go with Saren because no one is on his team yet. However, I'm sure a certain someone will join later." Iyusaka stated while glancing at Sayori and smiling. "Cpt. Yomi, I hope you don't mind, but can you make sure a certain someone does not get into trouble while I'm not around." Iyusaka asked.

-Meanwhile-

As Kasen yelled out for the other Espadas, a cold mist began to form in the atmosphere, going through Kasen. Izearya then appeared casually in front of Kasen. "Don't be so loud Kasen....." Izearya stated emotionlessly.

"Oh, a mission eh?" Karek asked in response to Captain Iyusaka. "Oh yeah. I come back from a mission and I'm sent on a second. Awesome!" Karek said. He then looked over to the Quincy which Iyusaka had pointed out was leading team A. "Hmm..never worked with a Quincy before. How about it..Saren was your name? How about I join your team? Got anything against it?" Karek asked Saren. "Oh, and my name is Karek Shirikoya. Captain of Division Eight of the Gotei Thirteen." Karek said, bowing slightly to Saren, who would be his new team leader if he accepted him.

Kasen simply stared at Izearya with his huge grin still on his face. "Well I needed to wake you guys up. Where are the others? Still not up?" Kasen asked Izearya. He was excited about this mission, and whenever he was excited about something, he grew hyper. "Gonna take out some shinigami on this mission?" Kasen asked Izearya. "I'm hoping to play with some of those Bount. It'll be fun." he exclaimed.

Sayori smiled at Iyusaka and nodded. "Yes I too will be joining Saren's team." She then heard that the 8th division captain would be joining Saren's team, so she added, "Unless the team become uneven. Then I could join Yomi's squad." She said smiling at Karek. She always thought that Karek was a funny guy, and could make anyone laugh...Or at least she makes her laugh. If he does join Saren's team I wonder how the two of them would interact. That will be something to watch.

Izearya stared at Kasen with intent. He then closed his eyes and put his hands into his pockets. "I'm guessing they'll be awake after that loud scream...... And you shouldn't say things so confidently Kasen...... afterall, these Bounts and Shinigami are stronger than they might appear....... Just be on the lookout for any sudden dangers, and don't rush into a battle so hastingly........" Izearya explained as he walked a little bit forwards then turning back and looking at Kasen with emotionless eyes. "I'll be waiting ahead, make sure the others are awake......" Izearya stated as he disappeared with sonido'd.

-Meanwhile-

"Wonderful, I have two trusted allies already wanting to join Saren's team with me." Iyusaka said jokingly. "Well, at least we don't have to worry about healing ourselves with Cpt. Kuchiki on our team, hehe, and I hope Saren will approve of Shirikoya joining, afterall, I've been waiting to hear another one of your fantastic stories Karek, hehe." Iyusaka stated as he gave a chuckle.

Sayori blushed lightly at Iyusaka's statement. "Well I'm no 4th captain but I'll do my best to keep you all healed up, and of course Saren is quite adapt in healing as well. You should see his work, if you hadn't already, it's amazing." She smiled. Besides as long as you keep those icky, slithering snakes away from me then I'll be fine....Oh and spiders. Not to fond of them either." She said fidgeting with her white Kensaiken's again. "I should've got one of my attendants to put them in this morning." Sayori muttered frustratingly.
