One of my faverite game series...

 

On this thread talk about any of the F.E.A.R. games

I just downloaded F.E.A.R. Combat but when I make a sever and start the game it keeps saying a error has occurred and then deletes the server...anybody think they can help

I have F.E.A.R. sitting on my desktop. I "procured" it a while ago, and I've only played it on 3 occasions since. It's a great game, but one I have to be in the mood to play, due to the atmosphere. Because of my hardware, I have to lower some of the effects to get it running smoothly, so it doesn't look as good as I wish, but the feel of the game is still spooky. The soldier guys are one of the creepiest part of the game, even if they all sound exactly alike. It's like they're smart, and they use tactics instead of just standing there like idiots. My friend played it with Gamefly, and he didn't like it, but what the hell does he know? I want to continue playing, but I have to feel like it, and I'm not going to do it while I'm home alone.

 

Since I got the game a certain way, I can't play online with it. :(

Ya I need to be in a certain mood to play. I think the solder guys your talking about is the replica (I think) I really hate the ending of 2...

I'm not sure where I left off from, but I know it's somewhere after the part where you start on the helipad, kill the guys in the room ahead and make your way down the stairs and into the building. Also the part where you drop into the hallway and Alma appears bringing fire with her (don't know which of those events came first).

 

I didn't stop playing because I couldn't progress anymore, I think it was because I was also playing Half-Life. I stopped playing that when I got stuck in the room where you have to protect the scientist so he can teleport you to Xen (I saved right there with less than optimum ammo and health, so when I figure out what to do or summon up the patience I'll revisit that game too).

I think I kind of remember that part...is that after you go threw that hall and the ceiling is dripping with blood and alma is walking closer to you?

 

I beat both games and hoping to play F.E.A.R Combat soon

 

If I remember currectly both endings sucked but #2 was just...yah

The idea of "diverging co-op" in F.E.A.R. 3 sounds interesting, but I really wanna see how they're gonna play that one out; cause it seems a little wierd to me.
