I am actually planning on attending Full Sail university for game design, I'm already familiar with the program (3D Studio Max) I just need to learn scripting and figure out how to render scenes without crashing the computer.

You should try to get acquainted with the program first, I'm assuming you have little to no experience because it is a hard program to come by, you can download a trial version on the Autodesk website. I'll PM you the link if you want it.
