¤Error - A Yugimanz FanFic | Chapter 2 Up!¤

Error is basically my version of 'A New Yugimanz Show'.

Well, here it is:

Within the hours of dawn, a young girl stood upright, springing out from beneath her bed. In her eyes was a shimmering starlight, tainted with passion. Her hand clasping an array of cards set out before her, she looked upwards into the rising sun and smiled. As she stared deep into it's rays, a small outline formed inside it, and from there flew in a rectangular card, with a dazzling picture cropped inside it. Flames leapt up from the corners of her eyes as she gazed into it, scanning the label carefully. The words that titled it's name sat on top of a white border, recognising this was a Synchro. It's name rung through her ears, "Sunstream Dragon", drumming a thought peacefully into her head.

 

"Hitomi! Come on! We're going to be late!" from downstairs a woman's speech echoed through the house.

 

"Coming Mother!" At once Hitomi hid the card inside her arrangement of 40 cards, and pondered over what to do next.

 

Leaping down the steps, Hitomi slid her arm down the winding banister, excitably running her fingers through the smooth oak as she went. Posters decorated the staircase she ran down, all labeling the words "Duel Academy".

 

At once she flung open the door, a look of excitement cast upon her glistening face.

 

¤ The Next Day ¤

 

With a yawn, Hitomi droopily raised her eyebrows and looked to the door. Hanging onto it was the card "Sunstream Dragon". Hastily she scanned through her Deck to see the same card, but it wasn't there. It's presence was shared within the room and through the airspace opened two leering eyes, with a sense of yearning tainted through it's soul. Hitomi outstretched her arms to touch it, but it faded too quickly, causing her to fall head over heels.

 

"Are you alright?" asked a fellow student of the Duel Academy, she wore a red silk scarf around her neck, and held a cloth in her hand, up against her blazing crimson jacket.

 

"Yeah - I don't think anything's broken yet." Hitomi said, staggering to her feet.

 

"Heh. Cute. My name's Riedy. And, you are..?" Riedy exclaimed, a grin cast upon her face.

 

"Ah, yes! My name's...uhn...Hitomi! That's it! Hitomi!" Laughed Hitomi happily, bounding with excitement and embarassment.

 

"Good. Now, come on. You have some work to do." Riedy threw a pile of crimson jackets into her feeble hands, catching her by suprise.

 

Bewildered, Hitomi looked into Riedy's eyes.

"Washing. It's washing. Today it's mine and yours responsibility to do it." Sighed Riedy, although still keeping her patience.

 

Smiling, Hitomi followed Riedy out to the washing area, only to see two female duelists rowing over a card discussion.

 

"Damnit! Rather than you trying to figure out what Beaver Warrior does, you'd have a better chance trying to stick your penis into a cheerio!" Raged on one of the female students, she had obviously been held back a couple of times.

 

"Oh yeah? What if I say I don't even have one!" Replied the other, angrily. "I know what Beaver Warrior does! It has an..uh...hidden effect! Supplied by...uhn...Magical Labyrinth!"

 

Riedy collapsed from laughter.

 

"Well, I know you have one! You were flashing it about in the pool yesterday!"

 

"I was drunk!"

 

"You're sixteen!"

 

"..."

 

Riedy gazed at them, smiling. Then turned to Hitomi, who was fazed by the conversation.

 

"Don't worry about that, Hitomi, that's just Gabriel and Zoe. They're always arguing - although, one fact is, they'll never be straight like some pencils we are." Riedy roared.

 

Hitomi smiled half-heartedly, not knowing half of the words that were being said. Nodding, she followed Riedy closely, and after they retreated to view a Duel, at one side sat a man with a crooked moustache binding half of his face, with a tattoo following and twisted down one half of his arm like a coiled snake. At the other end stood an irritated student, with no field remaining whatsoever. It seemed like an explosion had just erupted the room, and then saw "Sky Scourge Norelas" lay crumpled in a heap at the RFP pile. Suddenly a crack formed at the side of the arena, and then followed by an explosion that drained the sound out of the room, sending people scuttering and flying about, reeling back to their dorm rooms before harm could be done. A second explosion echoed through the room, and looking through the corner of her eye, Hitomi saw the tattooed man and the student half dead on the floor.

[spoiler=Chapter 2]

Roars emmited from inside the arena as two men strode in, gazing at the fallen duelists. On their arms rested a blazing red duel disk, and, rising to her feet from under her hindering position, Hitomi reached for hers, and leapt onto the arena's floor.

 

"Hitomi! Get back up here!" screamed Riely under her breath, gasping for air.

"Before they d-" her last word was cut off my the two men laughing.

 

"Right! That's it! Who's first, you goons!" Hitomi was clutching her fists tightly, feeling like she would send them flinging towards them.

 

At once a roughneck figure with a shaved head, a leather jacket and tinted sunglasses stepped forward, his prowess hanging high.

 

"Let's do it!"

"Duel!" Although Hitomi seemed confident, on the inside she was screaming.

 

Six cards flew from her Deck and leapt into her hands, whilst the roughneck simply picked them up with his under-technised palms.

 

"I'm going first!" Hitomi reached for her hand, and something caught her eye.

 

"Go! I summon Marauding Captain! But, let's not forget it's effect!" She was giddy with excitement as each word let loose from her tongue.

 

"With his effect I summon Goggle Golem! Followed by activating Super Double Summon! That means my Goggle Golem now has 2100 ATK points!"

 

The roughneck grunted with under anticipation.

 

"And with that done, I think I'll use my Magical Mallet!"

At once a huge hammer emerged and materialized in front of her eyes as they glistened with excitement. She returned 2 cards from her hand to her Deck, singing as she went, then drew 2 new cards from it.

 

"Ohohoho! Are you ready for this?"

"First I activate the effect of The Tricky! Discarding Plaguespreader Zombie to Special Summon it to my field!"

 

Speaking for the first time, the roughneck emmited a roar of disbelief.

 

"What the hell is this? Synchro? Tricky 4? Zombie? Gemini? Warrior? What do you think you're playing at, kid? It's about time I show you some manners!"

 

"But I'm not done yet!"

 

"You have no cards in your hand!"

 

"Oh..."

 

The roughneck facepalmed her. Hard.

 

"Right then. First I'll kick the game off with Emergency Teleport! Paying 800 Life Points to get myself up a Krebons!"

 

A physical figure with cubes floating around its minimalistic figure took to the scene, ready to wreck carnage with a ghostly grin on it's face.

 

"Followed soon by the Spell Cards Brain Control and Mind Control!"

 

Yet another block of life points was chipped off his status as two everstanding arms outstretched themselves and coiled them around Goggle Golem and The Tricky.

 

"Now! I haven't summoned yet! Come forth, Armaggeddon Knight! Sending Destiny Hero - Malicious to the Graveyard! And using his effect..!"

 

Hitomi screamed - she feared the worst would collide with her.

 

"Oh shut up! Seriously, you damn kids need to be taught a lesson! And that's what I'm gonna give ya! Go! Using Malicious I summon one from my Deck by merely removing it from the Graveyard!"

 

A fearsome figure twisted its way into the room, a dark presence blinding the others from seeing what's happening.

 

"Hitomi!" Screamed Riely from the top of her lungs. "Don't worry! It'll be OK!"

 

"Now! Synchro with Destiny Hero Malicious, Krebons! I bring forth - Dark End Dragon!"

 

He let out a mighty roar.

 

"Well, it's not over yet, wise guy!" Hitomi snapped fiercely.

 

"Fine. But it will be soon, small girl."

 

Three shadow encased fireballs leapt from the chest of the Dark End Dragon - bringing Maruading Captain to an unearthly demise.

And then end was soon to come.

 

"Gak!" Hitomi just counted what the onslaught would do to her Life Points.

 

"2100+2000+2100+1400 = 7600!"

"Oh yes! Almost game time, baby! ATTACKKKK!"

 

The stone that stood resembling Hitomi's Life Points crumbled dearly.

 

Hitomi = 400 LP

Roughneck Rider = 6400 LP

 

Scrambling around in the dust, Hitomi rose to her feet, coughing, and dusted herself off.

 

"Th...That's...it! I..a-am drawing th-the line! I draw a card!"

 

Her eyes lit up and her eyebrows raised fiercely. Her mouth upturned so her mouth was like she was a small girl in a funfair - turning her grinning from ear to ear.

 

"I think I'll take back my Tricky and Goggle Golem now! Also, by sending my drawn card to the top of my Deck, I'll take my Plaguespreader Zombie from the Grave to the field, thankyou!"

 

The three figures stood in unison as a card flickered from her hand to the top of her Deck. Jumping up and down, Hitomi reached for her Extra Deck as she saw a card spin itself round. Sunstream Dragon was sitting lazily on top of it. Smirking, Hitomi span round to continue with the duel.

 

"Now I shall eradicate the darkness with a fearsome light! Fiery sunrays come towards to meet my eyes! Come forth! Sunstream Dragon!"

 

Plaguespreader Zombie fell in and burst from a white light inside him, and was now ripped and torn in the RFP pile. Mangled, The Tricky was sent flying directly to the Graveyard.

 

Rays of sunshine burst through into the room, and eradicated the dark barrier that surrounded the duel. Two fiery pillars rose from the spots where the Synchro Materials had stood. They both collapsed to the sides and set fire to the Duel Floor - as a rising head engaged itself from the flames, Sunstream Dragon was slowly emerging, it's first appearance glimmering away.

 

Shaking itself, it's prideful roar made a card leap out from it's mouth, and drifted towards Hitomi's hand. "Sunstream Temple".

Just as good as the first one I viewed, if not better... I dunno how you do it. I tried writing in the third person perspective a couple of times, and failed epically. I've gotta be writing as though I'm the main character (probably why I use myself as my main character lol)

You just write it as the Authors Perspective, litterally from no point of view whatsoever.
