This is my first fan fic. I'm not exactly the best writer in the world either, so be easy with the critisim.
The name is Jesse. Jesse Anderson. The brother of the renowned duelist, Jean Anderson. At 17, only 3 years older than me, he has become one of the most famous and respected duelists of all time, but that all ended, not to long ago. He lost to a duelist named Yusei Fuedo. This was before Yusei became respected. In front of a crowd of people, Jean was humiliated, by some kid from the satellite. Afterwards, Jean was destroyed. He lost most of his sponsors, and he became obsessed with trying to beat Yusei, watching his every duel to learn his strategies.

Personally, I couldn't care less. Why someone would play this silly card game is beyond me. Who would pay hundreds of dollars just to make a deck to play a 10 minute card game? Well, my brother would. Adults take the game way to seriously if you ask me, but hey, it's just my opinion.

Of course, if I am the brother of a famous duelist I am in his shadow, which is very evident. Whenever I want to go to the store to buy a burger people come up to me and ask "What is Jean like?" or "Did he get my letter?" And of course Jean tries to convince me to have a "duel" with him sometimes to test out a new deck or something. He does a lot for me, so why would I refuse? Whenever I play with him he is amazed at my skill. I guess you can say I'm pretty good, but what I'm I going to do with my abilities my brother always asks. Why don't you go pro? I say I don't want to, but what I really thinking is that I don't want to be playing a kids card game in front of my friends with some freaky adult who creeps me out! When someone asks me to play a game though I agree, I don't know why, but I play them, and they thank me. Beyond playing random kids in playground sometimes and playing with Jean, I usually don't "duel", but that is was about to change when in the playground I met a dueling legend.
Jesse was just starting to put on his jacket next to the entrance of his house, while his brother Jean was siting down at a table reviewing his new deck. After Jean made his final adjustments, he put his deck together. He then stud up and revealed the bottom card of his deck to Jesse and said, "Hey bro, will you help me test out my new deck. I stalked it with this super rare new card, called Heavy Storm! It destroys all spell and traps on the field! So if Yusei lays any face-downs on me I'll knock right out of the park!"

After sighing, Jesse replied "And what if he activates Starlight Road?" 5 seconds later Jesse opened the door, and shut it behind him.

A little after Jesse walked out Jean said "Right..." with a frown on his face.

The sun was just begging to creep over the skyscrapers of New Domino City that morning as Jesse was going to the burger shop. He kindly ordered a medium cheese burger. After a couple minutes of waiting Jesse received his steaming, juicy, succulent burger. Then he left. Jesse likes to go to this burger shop, because the man at the counter was one of the few people in the city who didn't ask him about Jean. Jesse was beginning to walk home when some ketchup dropped on his jacket. "Crap!" Jesse said with an angry look on his face. "I have to sit down and eat this. Where should I? Hmmmmmm. Ah, the playground, said Jesse as he spotted the playground where dozens of kids were yelling.

Jesse sat down on a bench which viewed the duel field part of the play ground. On the field he spotted 2 player dueling. One was very you, had blond hair, with brown eyes. The other duelist, about Jesse's size, had jet black hair with black eyes. He saw that the life point meters both displayed 1000. The younger kid had no face downs, but when Jesse saw what monster he had on the field, his jaw dropped! It was none other than the legendary Red Eyes Black Dragon! Jesse couldn't believe that such a young duelist possessed this majestic creature!

Still in awe, Jesse stated " The Red Eyes Black Dragon! I'm no expert, but I know that card's rare! I bet Jean would love that card for his birthday, maybe I'll ask for a trade later." The Red Eyes was beginning to home in for an attack.

"Now Red Eyes, attack his life points directly and win the match!" said the younger boy.

With his eyes following the red ball of destruction coming from the dragon, Jesse said " He's finished." But when the attack was just about to reach the other kid, he revealed his face down card!

With an evil smirk on his face, the older kid yelled "I reveal my face-down card, Blast Held by a Tribute! It activates when a monster my opponent tribute summoned declare an attack! It destroys the attacking monster, and inflicts 1000 points of damage to you!"

"No! Red Eyes!" said the younger kid, with a face of utter disappointment, and surprise.

The Red Eyes exploded, and the impact knocked the younger kid down! Soon afterwards, the holograms disappeared, and the older kid approached the younger kid and screamed "Now, give me the Red Eyes, and nobody gets hurt!"

The younger kid replied in a very fearful and timid voice "I can't give it to you, it's my dad's favorite card."

By this time Jesse had gotten up off the bench, and ran toward the field. A large crowd was also starting to brew.

"That's it!" yelled the older kid as he lunged toward the younger kid in an attempt to punch him. But just before the punch landed on the face of the younger boy, it was blocked by Jesse's hand!

Very confidently, Jesse stated "Stop it! If he doesn't want to give you his card just let him go!

In a tone of mockery, and a smirk on his face, the older boy replied "Fine, then how about we duel for it."

Jesse didn't know what to do. He did not want to duel, but if he didn't, this problem could end with violence, and Jesse really didn't want that. Though then he realized that he actually was not half bad at dueling, so he agreed to the older boys deal. "Alright, I'll duel you, but I don't have a disk." said Jesse with a sigh.

"You can borrow pip squeaks disk over there." said the older boy. Jesse then took his deck out of his pocket and slipped it into the deck slot of the duel disk. The disk was very small though, so this was going to be very uncomfortable. "By the way, my name is Yoi", said the older kid.

Jesse then turned around and asked the younger boy what his name was. The boy replied "My name is Johnny, Johnny Wheeler.

Top card of the day, Blast Held by a Tribute!
"Johnny Wheeler. Hmmmmmm. Wheeler, wheeler, wheeler." Jesse thought to himself. He new he had heard that name before somewhere.

"Hey, you ready?" said Yoi already drawing his cards.

"Yeah." replied Jesse. The life point screens turned on, both displaying 4000. "I'll go first." said Jesse as he drew his first card. "First, I'll put this monster in face-down defense position, then I'll throw these three cards face-down as well. That'll end my turn.

"Ha, starting out defensive, eh." exclaimed Yoi as he sliped a spell card into his duel disk. "First, I'll activate Dark World Dealings. Now we both discard a card, then draw a card. Jesse discarded Mine Golem, and drew Monster Reborn! a smile immediately slapped Jesse's face when he saw that Yoi discarded Blast Held by a Tribute. "Now I activate, Nobleman of Crossout. This lets me remove from play one of your face-down defense monsters! Suddenly a knight jumped out of the card and stabbed his sword downward at the hologram of Jesse's defense monster, but then his blade shattered!

"That's right." said Jesse "You targeted my Mid Shield Gurdna. He negates a spell card that targets him while face-down. Then he gets flipped up." suddenly, Jesse's gurdna was revealed.

"Grrrrrr. Fine!" said Yoi, "I activate Doriado's Blessing. So by discarding my Junk Synchron, I ritual summon Elemental Mistress Doriado. And she can be treated as 5 attributes including FIRE, LIGHT, WATER, WIND, AND EARTH. Now I activate two salamandra's, increasing Doriado's attack to 2500. Now Doriado, attack! Doriado destroyed Jesse's Gurdna."

"Now I activate my face-down card." said Jesse as he pointed to one of his face-downs. "Scapegoat. Now I get 4 sheep tokens." exclaimed Jesse as sheep of different color started to appear. "Now I will chain my other face-down, Token Feastevil. Now all of my tokens are destroyed, and you take damage equal to the number destroyed times 300. All the sheep exploded.

"No." said Yoi as his life points dropped to 2800. "I'll now end" said Yoi with a mad and angry look.

"Finally." said Jesse in a sigh of relief. "First I activate Monster Reborn to bring back my Mine Golem. Then I'll chain Inferno Reckless Summon from my hand allowing me to play 2 more copies of Mine Golem from my deck, and you to play however many Doriado's you have from yours." Jesse put his Mine Golems on the field as Yoi put one more Doriado on his field. "Now I will end this." said Jesse as he pointed to his last face-down. "I activate Minefield Eruption. Now you take 1000 points of damage for every Mine Golem I have, whitch means you take 3000 points of damage!

"No!!!" yelled Yoi as his life points dropped to 0. "Fine" said Yoi, "A deals a deal, I'll leave." While Yoi was leaving, Johnny was dancing in rejoice.

"Yay! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" said Johnny.

"Here's your disk." said Jesse as he handed Johnny the disk. When Jesse turned his head around, though he saw a man that looked just like Johnny, only older.

"Hey look, it's my dad!" said Johnny in excitement.

"Hey kid, I'm Johnny's dad, Joey" aid Joey as he and Jesse shook hands. Then it hit Jesse. He was shaking hands with the dueling legend, Joey Wheeler!

"How long have you been here? Asked Jesse.

"Since the duel started." replied Joey. "Your not half bad either. How about you and I have a little game tomorrow. Here at 6 P.M."

"S..S...Sure!" replied Jesse.

"Seeya then kid." said Joey as he walked Johnny to the car. When Jesse went to go home he couldn't believe what just happened to him. Even though he had no respect for the game, he knew this was an honor. All he can think the whole way home, was "wow."

Top card of the day, Minefield Eruption!
As soon as Jesse walked into the door, he was hugged very tightly by his brother Jean, who looked very relieved to see him. "Where were you man! I thought you just went to go buy a burger." said Jean. Jesse then told Jean the story of what had happened to him at the playground. "You really met Joey Wheeler?!" asked Jean,

"Yup," replied Jesse "He wants me to duel him tomorrow too."

"Well if your going, your going to need this in your deck." said Jean as he took out a card from his deck. He revealed it to Jesse, and it was Heavy Storm! "Like you said, there's no use in me keeping it, so why don't you have it, for good luck." said Jean as he handed the holographic card to Jesse.

"Thanks man." said Jesse as he put the card in his deck and shuffled." Well.... I better go to bed." yawned Jesse as he went up to his room.

The next day, Jesse walked out to the playground at 6 as promised. There he saw just Joey and Johnny waiting for him. "Hey, ya finally came. Well, are ya ready?" said Joey as he turned on his disk."

"Yea." replied Jesse

The life point displays then turned on, both showing 4000.

"I'll go first." said Joey. "First I use Pot of Greed to draw twice. Then I'll summon Red Eyes Black chick, the activate it's effect, which lets me send it to the graveyard to special summon Red Eyes Black Dragon!" The majestic Black creature then appeared before Jesse, growling at him. "Then I'll leave these two cards face-down. Now lets see what you got." said Joey.

"Dang, he already has a powerful monster on his field, and there are the two face-down cards that are probably there to protect it." Jesse thought to himself.

"Ha," Joey thought to himself, "if he summons a monster even more powerful than Red Eyes, I'll use my face-down Torrential Tribute, and chain my other face-down, Interdimenstional Matter Transporter, destroying his monster and saving my Red Eyes."

"Alright," said Jesse as he drew his five cards. "I have Lightning Vortex! But I'm sure those face-downs of his will stop it. I have to draw that card." Jesse thought to himself. He drew his card, and to his surprise, he drew the card he needed, Heavy Storm! "Yes." said Jesse "First, I activate the spell card Heavy Storm. It destroys all spell and traps on the field."

"No." Joey replied as he sent his two cards to the graveyard.

"That's right," Jesse continued, "now I use Lightning Vortex, which destroys all face up monsters on the field, but as a cost, I must discard my Mine Golem." a bright spark then raged across the field and annihilated Joey's Red Eyes! "Then, I'll end my turn by placing a monster in face-down defense mode and setting a card." said Jesse.

"Hey, your pretty good at this game, well its my move now, so here goes nothing." said Joey as he drew his card. "Now," said Joey "I'll summon Lord of D. in defense mode. Then I activate his instrument, Flute of Summoning Dragon, which lets me special summon two dragon monsters as long as Lord of D. is out." Joey's Lord of D. grasped his flute, and suddenly two Masked Dragons appeared. Joey then said, "Since you discarded Mine Golem, I'll assume your using a rock deck, so I won't attack. This ends my turn."

"Well I guess the rumors about you were fake." said Jesse, "people say that you were hot headed."

"That was a long time ago." said Joey with a grim look in his face.

"Well as for my move, I activate Pot of Greed, which lets me draw twice. Then I activate my face-down card, Rock Bombardment. So by sending a rock monster from my deck to the grave, you take 500 points of damage, so I send my other Mine Golem from my deck to the grave. So now you have 3500 life points left." just then, a huge rock smashed into Joey knocking him over. Jesse continued "Now I sacrifice my Guardian Statue to summon Guardian Sphinx in defense mode, and once per turn, I can flip it face down, so I'll put it in face-down defense mode. Then I'll flip it up to activate its effect allowing me to return all monsters you control to your hand."

"Dang." said Joey as he took his monsters from his duel disk and added them to his hand.

"Now Guardian Sphinx attacks you directly." said Jesse as the great statue stomped on Joey.

"No!" yelled Joey, "Now I only have 1800 life points left."

"I then set this card and end my turn." said Jesse with a smirk on his face

"Ok, its now or never. Heart of the cards, guide me." said Joey as he drew his last card. "yes." said Joey in a sigh of relief. " I activate Card Destruction. Now we both discard our hands and draw a number of cards equal to the number of cards we discarded." both players drew, with Joey drawing three cards and Jesse drawing one. Joey continued, "Now I activate another Pot of Greed, letting me draw two more cards. I will now activate, Monster Reincarnation, so by discarding my Masked Dragon to the graveyard, I get Red Eyes back. Then I'll activate Ancient Rules. This baby lets me special summon Red Eyes from my hand! So appear, Red Eyes Black Dragon!" suddenly the black dragon appeared again. Joey then said, "Next, by tributing Red Eyes, I can special summon this guy, Red Eyes Darkness Dragon!" the Red Eyes Black Dragon disappeared, but in its place stood a bigger, more ferocious version! Joey yelled, "He also gets 300 more points for every dragon monster in my grave, so his attack points increase to 3900! Now my dragon will destroy your guardian."

"No!" replied Jesse. The dragon destroyed Jesse's guardian and inflicted major damage.

"Now your life points stand at 1800, so we are even. I'll end my turn by placing this last card face-down." said Joey

"Wow, this guy is good." Jesse thought to himself, "In one turn he's almost won the duel. But I can't let that stop me, I have to win." "My move," said Jesse, "I draw." Jesse drew his final card, and it was the one he needed. "Yes! said Jesse in a very loud tone. "By removing from play both of my Mine Golems in the grave, I special summon Gaia Plate the Earth Giant!" coming out of the ground, the large mass of Earth stood face to face with Joey's mighty creature. They were both as big, as powerful, and as ferocious as each other. A rock giant verses the dark dragon. "When Gaia attacks, the monster he's battling has its ATK and DEF split. So now, Gaia, attack his Red Eyes." said Jesse as his massive monster was about to lunge at Joey's Red Eyes.

"I guess this is my only option." said Joey, "I use my face-down card, Ring of Destruction. So by destroying my Red Eyes, we both take 3900 points of damage. Both players life points reached 0. The game ended in a draw.

"That was a great match." said Joey. "I haven't had a duel as tough as that one in a long time."

"Me neither." replied Jesse.

"That was awesome! added Johnny.

"Hey kid I need to talk to you about something, a new tournament is coming up. I'll explain more later. How bout we go to your place. I'll explain everything there." explained Joey.

"Sure, Jean, my brother, would love to meet you." Jesse replied.
Then you add the chapter here.
And thats how you do it. Now unto my critique. Please don't go crazy with all the exclamation points. A little short too, but thats to be expected. Despite these slight errors, this is a good story thus far. Keep it up.
