Farquarl said nothing. He merely gestured for C to leave, and continued with his meditations. Something was wrong here. His suspicions of C were growing, and from what his spider had just told him, were confirming themselves. He knew she wasn't a real Dark Signer. He definitely didn't want to expose her right now, however, as that would only cause more problems. No, he had to find an ideal time to do so...

IC: Mendatt stared at his arm in confusion. He had a signer mark. That was odd. His family had had signers in it before, but they were rare. The only real reason they had was because of the zephyr dragon card belonging to them. He was surprised to see the left claw mark in his arm...

Zack asked as he put both his hands out for a handshake from them "(Wow, we sure are making progress.)" IC: Paolo, after braving against the Dark Signer, just sat on a nearby park bench and did nothing. What was there to do? He almost killed someone. He couldn't just-

An explosion. Nearby. It wasn't incendiary, but it was at least realistic enough for Paolo to leave the bench and investigate. When he got to the location of the explosion, he was just in time to watch two Dark Signers disappearing in a cloak. His mark flashed and burned, and he noticed that there were others with similar marks.

"Wait... are you...Signers?" Paolo asked, moving toward them. He still looked clearly shaken from the incident with Jake.

"Huh? Y-your the last signer?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????" Zack asked in confusion "Huh, the final three signers.............................................................................................. all here..." Zack said while thinking what it would be like to have three arms to handshake them all at once "Hehehehehe-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's a good one! Mendatt was still blinking. He turned towards zack and said "Until now, no. Now... I'm not sure." Than he scratched his head. "Something about C was wrong. She didn't want to shadow duel... She almost seemed friendly... And her duel spirit was like a little kid." Than he turned towards paolo. "Who are you?

"Name's Paolo," he replied to Mendatt, trying diligently to ignore Zack's odd laughing. "Saw the explosion and got moving. I'm guessing that you guys fought a Dark Signer, yes?" He looked around, the evidence of the battle everywhere. "Or...two?" he added on, realizing that the scars looked more like four people fighting, rather than just two. He was slowly coming out of the shock that the Dark Signer had put him in.

Meanwhile, C approached Farquarl, looking a bit less authoritative and more...human? "I'm sorry about today. I just don't like being bossed around. That, and...well...I don't like to Shadow Duel. Period. I won't go into too much detail, but I met a few of the Dark Signers from 200 years ago in the underworld. They warned me that if I became a Dark Signer, that I should never Shadow Duel or Shadow Turbo Duel, otherwise bad things will happen. So I haven't. That way, I can continue being a Dark Signer and not have to worry about my Achilles' heel."

Neo returned to the area where he dueled in the tag duel,"I have returned,"Neo remembered as he had an question of an expression."Somethings odd,"Neo paused."It seemed Mendatt became a Signer and we have found another Signer."Neo exclaimed just remembering something."Paolo right, I heard your comversation before."He guessed as he had another thought."What happened to the person before Mendatt is my question ? It seems we might not find the answer."Neo contiuned."But theres still one more...Is there ?"

IC: Kree walks around everywhere looking for people. "Should have listened to the boss." He said repeatedly. He looked around hoping to find Paolo...who he thought was called Polo. "Am I the only one who ends up like this? At least I know why." Kree then yawns, forgetting to look into the sky to see for the Dark Signer marks, where he could find help on where to look. Kree then stretches his arms above his head saying "Oh well I better keep looking before the boss kills me for this." Then he went back to repeatedly saying "Should have listened to the boss."

C, then motioned for someone to enter, and a young woman stepped into the room. She had long, honey-blonde hair tied into a ponytail, purple eyes, and a Dark Signer outfit with purple trim. Her gaze seemed a bit distant, though...

"Farquarl, this is Jacqueline, my latest servant. I managed to find the old Back Claw Signer in an alleyway, weakened by the loss of his Mark, and I dueled him. I managed to use a combination of psychological torment and subtle hypnosis to convince him that he should just submit to me, and I became his new mistress. Of course, he reminded me of an old...acquaitance of mine, so I transformed him into something else. Isn't that right, Jacky?"

"Yes, Mistress." Jacqueline emotionlessly intoned. "My old form was weak and pitiful, so you remade me into your lovely servant."

"That's right. So I can Shadow Duel, but I just don't want to, because I like to pick and choose my targets. Understand?"

Mendatt replied to paolo "I'm Mendatt. And, as a preemptive answer, I'm not sure. If you were about to ask what I think you are, the answer is I'm not sure. And that question can be 'Is that actually a name?' or 'Are you a signer' and the answer would still be I'm not sure."

Any way, looks like all five signers are together after two-hundred and twelve years right?" "(Didn't take long, I'm surprised with myslef." Zack thought.

Mendatt was doing his best to ignore zack, who he had deemed to be as insane as his grandfather was, which is to say, a great thundering loony. He said to paolo and zack "Want to do a practice match?"

"Sure..... you guys duel first.... I'll duel the winner." Zack explained while thinking about the whole situation "(Ok, I have a crazy lady who seems to know me, I found the other three signer in the last couple of days.............................................................................. OK, my life is weird at times........................... Well.... I'd better get used to it.......... cause I have a feeling we're in for a wild ride.)"

"Sure, I'm game. Might as well see who my allies are and how good they are." Paolo activated his Disk, waiting for the others to do the same.

She had captured and modified a Signer? She's dangerous, that's for sure. Farquarl's suspicions were confirmed, but he had to reveal the fact that she wasn't a Dark Signer when she gathered the Signers together. So long as the King of the Underworld managed to escape and reign supreme, there was no need for anyone...including himself.

"Well done, C. I accept your apology, and am impressed with your work. On your way out, if you see Jake, send him in. If you don't, then do what you please. But if you happen to come across Jake, bid him come here."

"... Farquarl....... You!" Jake was hanging around the entrance to the hideout "....." "(Farquarl... sometimes I wonder why you're the leader........................... I wonder if I'm ever going to decide to overthrow you................................................... Probably won't, but whatever...... I wonder how I'd do if I did................................................ Probably would get wasted...... But then I'd never get my revenge......... So I won't try.......... for now....)" "K than, I guess I'll go first." Mendatt drew six cards. "First of all, I play Double Summon, which lets me summon twice this turn. Than I remove that from play Double summon from my graveyard to special summon Spell Striker. Than I summon Counselor Lily, and tribute Spell Striker to Summon Avenging Demonic Dragon. Than I tribute all of them to synchro summon Falchion Knight, and equip Avenging Demonic Dragon to increase the attack of Falchion Knight by 2000 to 3000. Your go."

"Ok, it's my turn." Paolo drew his card. "I activate Mist Valley Tornado Zone. Now, I Summon, Mist Valley Thunderbird."

The field around them turned into a basin, with tornadoes swirling in all directions around them. The golden bird flew out of its card, and was promptly blown into the air. It landed ok, however.

"The effect of my Field Spell returns the first monster we Summon to the owner's hand, in exchange for being allowed to Summon twice. But, when my Thunderbird returns to my hand, I can Special Summon it back. Now, I Summon Mist Valley Soldier!"

A short and burly looking fellow flew out of his card, holding an odd looking sword. (ATK: 1700)

"I tune my Level 4 Soldier to my Level 3 Thunderbird! The misted winds give rise to a slumbering ancient! His wrath will know no end! Synchro Summon! The obscured ogre, Thunder God of Mist Valley!"

Once again, the enormous demon rose from the mist, giving a loud roar as he did so (ATK: 2900).

"Now, I activate his effect, returning my Tornado Zone to increase its ATK by 500. I also re-activate Typhoon Zone." (ATK: 3400)

Now, attack his Falchion Knight!"

The Demon God Roared (+1 rep to the first to catch the reference) and hurled a massive lightning ball at the Knight. The dragon lamented as it was neutralized, it seemingly calling out to its friend.

"I set 2 cards, and end my turn."

 

Mist Valley Typhoon Zone

Field Spell

"Mist Valley" monsters gain 300 ATK. The first monster the turn player Normal Summons is returned to the owner's hand and cannot be Normal Summoned again this turn. Both players may Normal Summon 2 times per turn. If this card would be destroyed by a card effect, return it to your hand instead.

Neo walked to Zack."The task is nearly finished, all that is need is the Dark Signer threat stopped."Neo smiled."I think their is more Dark Signers in number however, we all shall finish them."Neo wondered as he changed the subject."This duel is intense, 2 powerful monsters in just 1 turn, well several duelists have proven it possible of chorse."Neo paused thinking for a while."Therefore, the next battle of duels between Signer and Dark Signer will be greater than the first."Neo finished in a smile, as he just realised."The Leader must be some master of dueling, I fear."

This causes my Falchion Knight to gain attack equal to that of your Mist Valley Thunder Lord, which means you take damage equal to that of my Falchion Knight, which is three thousand. Than I draw a card. I play two face-downs, and equip my Counselor Lily to my Falchion Knight and attack, reducing your life points to zero. Good game." says Mendatt in an annoying tone, smiling irksomely.
