Yu-Gi-Oh!: Signers vs Dark Signers 2 [Started/Not Accepting Anymore/Co-owned by TheFinalFan]

[Mendatt the Elf Mage]

Mendatt knew by now that he was like a magnet for trouble. First the massacre, than falling into the thieves den, and now... whatever this was.

His family was killed by someone, and he wanted to find out who, and why. He remember his father was investigating a destroyed area in the satellite when it happened, and was going back to the mansion to see if there were any documents left. Naturally, there was more trouble waiting for him.

He was not sure what it was. There was no doubt that it was an it, no matter that it looked like a human. Possibly some sort of construct?

It had what looked a lot like criminal marks on it's face, except... Oh, yes... They were purple. His fashion was so outdated that it must be a construct... No one alive today would wear a stripey hooded robe if their lives depended on it.

Of course, as soon as he went into the mansion, the thing challenged him to a duel. Oddly, when he accepted, it got rather fiery.

Purple fiery.

Mendatt blinked. He was expecting to kick some butt and get the documents, but, of course, he never got what he expected.

This time, he didn't get it in the form of a shadow duel.

He had no idea how dangerous it was, but, hey, whatever. Duel as well as he could and see what happens.

 

"I guess I'll go first..." said Mendatt, drawing five cards from the top of his deck. The construct didn't say anything, so he drew another.

Ekibyo Drakmord, Double Summon, Barrier Wall of the Winged Ones, Tuned Magician, Avenging Demonic Trickster, and Avenge Summon. Not a particularly good hand for first turn.

"... I play three face-downs and end my turn." said Mendatt, placing Double Summon, Barrier Wall, and Avenge summon in his spell and trap zone. "Your turn."

His opponent clearly would have grinned if he had been capable of it. "I summon Dark Valkyria. Attack Directly!"

"I activate Barrier Wall of the Winged Ones! Using it's effect, I destroy your Dark Valkyria, and cancel the attack." Mendatt said with annoyance. ~If only he took damage...~ He thought.

Now his opponent was clearly annoyed. "I play a face-down monster two face-downs and end my turn.

Mendatt drew a card. ~Yes! He thought, looking at the card he had drawn- Avenging Demonic Magician.~ "I play Avenging Demonic Magician!" as he said it, a hologram appeared of a grey-skinned girl with a staff and some odd red ribbon winding around her. "Magician, attack his monster!" He watched as the face down hologram of a card turned into a hologram of a human with an odd mask, some sort of jumpsuit, and long blond hair. ~Very out of place.~ The Magician ran, or rather, levitated, towards the Gladiator Beast hunter, and swung her staff at her. The hunter swung a longsword at her, and she parted into a multitude of yellow fragments.

For the first time, the cosplayer wannabe offered a useful comment. "That was stupid. You just lost 600 life points."

"Yes, but now my Magician is in my graveyard, and your G.B. hunter can't beat my barrier wall. What now?" Said Mendatt.

 

CLIFFHANGER MARK

OOC: Yeah, I kinda did. Sorry. I'll fix it.

Farquarl turned, his eyes flashing.

"First, Jake, I never intended for you to be killed. Now you know that recklessness, when not in the proper environment, is useless.

Second, Kree, you are more useful than Bommer. Rudger called Bommer in as a last resort, and was defeated by a non-Signer. You, on the other hand, are here now. Admittedly, the job I have for you is less than enjoyable, but it IS necessary.

Third. C, your general insubordination led to ALL of these things happening. Had you come when I called, it wouldn't have failed, thus I wouldn't have needed to interrupt your duel. But of course, you consider yourself above me. You didn't think that following orders would affect anything. You didn't THINK that maybe planning things further out than a move ahead, with more resources was a good idea. Also, you may have found the Head, but how do you think I found Paolo?"

He held up five threads, and he made sure everyone could see them.

"By planning further ahead. Those 'some people' you referred to me spying on? Those were the Signers. I currently hold the exact location of every Signer in my hands. So, scrap the plan I came up with before."

He walked up to C, and stuck one of the threads on her hand. She looked part bewildered and part disgusted, but before she actually did anything, he was already attending to Kree, giving her another thread. Then Jake, then Dean. He held the final string for himself. And waited for the inevitable response.

"Who's thread is this? I hope it's the head! He... he was once my best friend! But he betrayed me! He sent me to the facility! Where the King of the Netherworld made me a deal to get me out of there! I... want... my... REVENGE!!!!!" Jake yelled.

C looked at the thread while Misty pawed it with the natural curiosity of a cat. "And what am I supposed to do with this? I've already got a tracking device that I can actually talk to. Furthermore, having Zack's trust will allow me to get in closer to the rest of theSigners. I can sabotage them from the inside instead of having to blatantly attack them. THAT'S how I roll." She let go of the spider and let Misty go to town with the poor arthropod. "And I don't need a nemesis. I'm the odd one out, and I have no grudge against any of them, since I died a century before they were even a glimmer in their daddies' eyes."

"I thought you'd say that. And for your information, I can communicate with MY trackers as well. The strand you hold, C, does not link you to one of the Signers. It instead links you to one of the more isolated ones. I believe his name is Neo. He and Zack have absolutely no connection with each other. Consider this a perk for being under my command. As for you, Jake, indeed, yours leads to Zack. You shall be joined by Dean, who has been assigned to Dylan. Kree, you shall be meeting Paolo, and I shall be dealing with their loose end, Mendatt. The King has just entrusted us with a new member, and they shall take on Jack once they arrive.

It would be completely pointless, especially since it would ruin the plans I already have set into motion. If I can get in good with the Signers, I can be in the perfect position to take them down! After listiening to everyone else talk for a while he says, "I would rather fail and have fun with it instead of fail and be bored with it." Kree then sits back down in his chair and puts his feet on the (I think it's) stone table. He then says seeming to be relaxed and no longer annoyed or angry "Good Night people. It's time to sleep the day off. I'll deal with Paolo Tommarow" Kree soon tries to fall asleep but can't seem to drift off into the darkness.

Neo walked through the path as he noticed he ran in circles, when he noticed his mansion.

 

"NOOO!"Neo shouted."It's hopeless."

 

"Theres hope."Tunic Synchron comfated.

 

"Thanks I guess."Neo frowned.

 

"I don't even know where those Dark Signers are."Tunic Dragon answered.

 

"I thought you were leading us."Neo said as he looked into space.

 

"I know but im a dragon."Tunic Dragon replied."Remember, let you control me not they other way."

Cliffhanger end.

The as of yet unnamed non-character, who from now on shall be referred to as bob to save me time in thinking up funny remarks, drew a card with no apparent emotion. "I end my turn." He said simply.

Than Mendatt drew a card, thinking ~If this works...~ Avenging Justiciar Knight. Not particularly useful, but it would work. "I play a face-down monster and end my turn." He said, placing Justiciar Knight in his monster zone.

For some reason, bob grinned. "I play Armored Zombie. Armored Zombie, attack his face-down!" A green heavily decayed body in red armor appeared and made as if to slash at the face-down card. Just as the strike was about to hit, the card turned into a knight in silver armor with a red plume on it's helm, and shattered into thousands of tiny yellow pieces.

"Just one thing you forgot." Mendatt said condescendingly. "Because of my Barrier Wall, you take 500 points of damage from declaring an attack." His Barrier Wall of the Winged Ones parted down the center, and rocks came flying out, striking at bob, who winced in pain as the rocks hit him.

"Hn..." Said Mendatt noncommittally,while thinking ~That was wierd. He acted as if it actually hurt.~ and drew a card. ~Armageddon Knight... Perfect.~ "I summon Armageddon Knight!" A leather armored bandit with a red bandana covering it's mouth slowly appeared in the air. "Using it's effect, I send an Avenging Demonic Knight from my deck to my graveyard! Your turn." said Mendatt confidently.

Bob drew a card and said "I play a face-down and end my turn."

Mendatt drew a card and looked at it. ~Avenging Justiciar Gardna. Perfect.~ "Because of the effect of my Demonic Knight, I can summon Avenging Justiciar Knight from my graveyard!" The silver-armored knight appeared suddenly, in a flash of light that made it hard to see. "Than I activate Avenge Summon to send my Barrier Wall of the Winged Ones the the graveyard!" he said as the levitated plate disappeared. "But I'm not down yet! I tribute my Avenging Justiciar Knight to bring out Avenging Justiciar Gardna!" His Knight disappeared in a flash of yellow light, and when it faded there was a women in similar armor with white hair and a very, very, very big shield. "Now I equip Ekibyo Drakmord to your G.B. Hunter! Your turn."

It was hard to tell if bob was impressed by this or not. "I tribute my Armored Zombie and my G.B. Hunter to Advance Summon Battle Eater!" His two monsters shattered into yellow shards, and something that looked like an obese dark magician with a ray gun connected to a hot air balloon appeared. "Battle Eater, attack!" the magician pressed a button on the ray gun and it sucked Armageddon Knight in. Than it pressed a different button and a large ball of energy came shooting out, hitting Mendatt and knocking him back several feet.

~Oww! That hurt!~ Thought Mendatt, more annoyed than injured. ~I've lost 1700 life points, but I should be able to pull this off...~ He drew a card. ~Sakuretsu Armor... Perfect.~ "I play a face-down and end my turn."

Bob seemed encouraged by this, and said " Battle Eater! Attack his Avenging Justici-" but Mendatt interrupted, saying "I activate Sakuretsu Armor! It's effect lets me cancel your attack. Not only that, but I also get to destroy the monser that attacked... Your level eater!" bob seemed cowed, but also seemed to think he held the advantage. "I end my turn."

Mendatt drew another card. ~Counselor Lily! Perfect.~ "I play Counselor Lily and tune my Avenging Justiciar Gardna with it to Synchro Summon Zephyr Dragon! Using counselor lily's effect, I can pay 500 life points to increase the attack of my zephyr dragon by a thousand!" Mendatt found himself feeling rather faint as small orbs of energy flew from his gardna and himself towards his counselor lily. "Zephyr Dragon! Attack!" His zephyr dragon seemed to disappear completely as a beam of light shot out from the floor and threw his opponent upwards, where six more came out from all directions in a resounding flash. After the flash, where his opponent was, there was someone in the same clothes that looked much the same except that his face was completely clear. "Where am I..." he muttered as he slowly walked out of the building.

Mendatt blinked. That was unusual. But not to let it deter him...

After a thorough search of the room, mendatt found out something unusual. All of the documents were gone.

~Hmm...~ thought mendatt, extremely puzzled, as he ran out of the building as fast as he could.

While running out of the building, Mendatt fell in a trapdoor. A trapdoor, of all things. How old-fashioned is that. Than he realized he was sitting in paper. Not only paper, but the documents he was looking for. "Dark sigers? what are... Signers. Oh. Crimson dragon, eh? Hmm..." He gathered up the documents, found stairs, and went out the way he was going to when he fell.

"*mumble mumble*" "(Zack.)" "ZAAAAACK!" Jake yelled "I'll get my revenge on you yet! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

C, after mulling it over, finally gave up. "Farquarl, I have my methods, and you have yours. I will consent to going after this Signer if you let me continue with my plans. Deal?"

Meanwhile, Misty had suddenly stopped playing with the spider web thread as her eyes briefly glowed. She ran off into the shadows for some odd reason...

"Cho-Cho..." Cho-Cho heard the voice, "Cho-Cho, awaken from your slumber and bring the signers to justice!" She opened her eyes looked around her small room she had rented, then muttered "Yes, my master.". she went outside her room, before realizing she was in her dark signer outfit. She saw the land lord standing there, and he did not look happy. "You needed to pay rent yesterday and-" He gasped "You're not a business woman from out of town! You're one of those fanatics that appeared 212 years ago and said that the crimson dragon was out to get us!". "Yes, I am a Dark Signer she said and you're dead!". He grabbed a old decorative, but functional duel disk and his deck and shouted "You're going down!". "Well, you finally figured it out but you were to late!" She grabbed her duel disk and deck and shouted "Let's duel!" "I'll go first!" said the land lord. "I'll start by playing 2 cards face-down and summoning X-Saber Airbellum in Attack Position! End of turn!"

"Hmmm...So long as these 'plans' meet the end we are meant to achieve, I will consent." He left, and proceeded to utilize his network to find the outliar, Mendatt. There was something about C... She wasn't as devoted to the cause as the rest. She certainly has her own agenda. Farquarl knew she wouldn't pursue the Signer he had assigned her, but instead would pursue the Head as she had always done. If he was wrong, she would actually follow his orders and kill the right Signer. If he was right, she and Jake would have a grudge match over who would fight Zack.

C turned and walked out of the room to meet a new face. A young woman had appeared nearby, with black hair similar to C's, but spiky and cut short, pale skin, purple eyes, red tattoos covering her face, body, and hair, and cat-like features, such as the pair of ears on top of her head, cat-like eyes, and feline lower arms and legs, complete with black fur, and a long tail. She wore a bikini and a short skirt, both of which had Dark Signer markings, and had a beatsial version of the Dark Signer Duel Disk. "What do we do now, Mistress?" The catgirl purred. "You go find this Signer. I will go attend to Zack." C ordered, petting the catgirl's head. "Mmm...yes, Mistress..." The girl cooed as she slinked away. C looked over her servant as she left, making sure the transformation was a success.

Yes, it turned out even better than I planned. C mused. Misty is so much more useful in this form.

Mendatt watched with interest as he saw a woman in similar robes to those of the person he had recently fought walk through the alleyways of the satellite. From the documents he had uncovered, he knew she was a dark signer. Though, oddly, the stripes on her cloak were pink. Mendatt had just decided to follow her when he noticed the air sparkling near him, realizing that it was a spider web. A long, long strand of spider web. ~Hmm... She seems to know these streets well. Perhaps if I follow from a long enough distance, I can still follow the strand...~ He thought, and set off to follow C.

C detected the man following her, but paid no attention. There was no need to let him know what he already did. He obviously spotted her in the crowd, therefore knowing she was a Dark Signer. Only a Signer or one of their allies could know that. She guessed he was a friend of at least one Signer, sice he didn't broadcast any signs of being a Signer. She just continued down the street, ignoring the man dramatically following her, who was attracting attention from passerby.

Zack hopped on his duel runner and jumped off zooming to the streets of New Domino, to get more parts for his duel runner. He bought the best engine they had, the best computer they had, and the best frame they had, now he could make a new duel runner, one backup, one normal, then he bought a toe cable, a wagon to carry his new stuff, and took it all to his hideout, put his new duel runner together, and gave it a new paint job, took the wings off his old duel runner and put them on his new duel runner "(10x faster, and 10x easier to handle.)" Zack thought as he took it out for a test run.

Neo walked into his Mansion."I guess before my next challenge I'll just watch some tv."Neo paused as he switched the channels."After that Robber snuck into my Mansion, I haven't had any fun."Neo admitted as he slammed his remote on the table for no reason.

 

"Tommorrow I'll continue my search."Neo guessed as he placed Tunic Dragon on his duel disk.

"Im bored."Neo secondly admitted, going into question."Anything interesting ?"

Kree then gets up out of his chair since he failed to fall asleep and goes up onto the surface. He looks as the sky and says "I may as well find this dumb Signer and get this over with." Kree then laughs without a cause and whispers to himself "I know what I am here to do. I will bring peace to this planet. And to do that...One group must fall to their knees and become dust. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" Kree then walks off from where he was in hopes of finding the Signer he must duel...

Neo signed as he contiuned to search through Neo Domino City for Dark Signers."Still nothing."Neo said with boredness as he snapped out of it with determination."I must find them !"He shouted to himself as he ran through the alleyway going past the people skimming for Dark Signers."Still."Neo stopped."I shall continue."

 

"I see something,"Tunic Dragon pointed at some person, as that guy ran.

 

"Ok lets go."Neo rushed at the guy.

 

"It's not a Dark Signer."Tunic Dragon noticed but Neo didn't hear."Oh well."

After following C for quite a while, Mendatt was beginning to get tired. He didn't have dark signer stamina, and C seemed intent on leading him all over the city. He was about to give up and go do something else when he saw someone charging at him just in time to catch himself as the person tackled him. He was up and dusting himself off in seconds, and was about to give the person the sharp side of his tongue when he noticed the left claw mark on the person's arm. He blinked for a second and then said said somewhat sarcastically "Thank you for tackling me," and than less sarcastically "Signer, I assume? There's a dark signer ahead- if you look closely you can see a spider web where she was." Seeing Neo's surprised expression that he knew what signers and dark signers are, he said "I don't particularly feel like explaining myself. Anyways, the dark signer seems to be looking for something. Heaven knows why, or, rather, this being about a dark signer, probably doesn't. But the point is, I was planning on finding out what it's looking for, and than dueling it and preferably not being the one sent to the netherworld."

C decided that this charade had gone on long enough, so she turned and faced the two. "So, you have followed me all across half of the city. I am impressed. But this doesn't mean that I will give up so easily. I was planning on dueling Neo here, who has been assigned to me, but I now have to contend with both of you..."

Just then, a shadow came flying out of the sun, and a Dark Signer catgirl landed next to C.

"...So I'm evening the odds. You two ready for a tag duel?"
