What is Archtype?

 

Sorry I dunno about it because I don't watch Yugioh GX and 5Ds

Machop an Archetype is a group of cards that all have at least 1 thing definitively in common

Example: "Elemental Hero" is the first part of the name for all E-Hero monsters. (E-Hero monsters also have other shared traits but the main one is the name)

 

But some of these dont have it in their name, instead in other parts, and some also have multiple traits in common for that Archetype

Example: the Synthetic Angels Archetype dont all have something their name but all are light fairy-type monsters which look like mechanical or artificial angels, in their pics they are kept together by a coloured crystal and most tend to deal with either counter traps and removed from play

Arche(?)types are group of cards that has at least 1 property. It's like Groups in Facebook. For example, Elemental Heroes or Morphtronic.
