Xeonil looked at Rain who signaled for a refill. "Alright." Xeonil took out a large bottle, "Dormir bien", and poured it into another glass, and gave it a bit of "Bonne nuit" liquid to it. "If she wants strong, she get's strong." he thought to himself. This drink was packed with so much alcohol that it would make someone pass out within two to three gulps. He made the same light beverage drink for Rain, and gave the other drink to Satoko. Most men or women don't make it past three. Very few make it past 4 or 5. Only he and another person made it past 7. Remarkable for him really, it was quite a punch of alcohol.

Satoko took her drink and was about to drink it when the much heavier alcohol fumes hit her nose. Satoko took it away from her face for a second.

"Huh. This one seems a whole lot stronger. I like it!" Satoko proclaimed before taking three greedy gulps from the drink. When the alcohol hit her stomach, another, much stronger wave of euphoria hit her like a brick wall. Satoko let out a loud shout.

"WHOO! That'sh some good schtuff right there! What'dya put in thish?! It'sh amazing! Ya should be selling the schtuff to everyone!" Satoko said, developing a heavy slur as she continued to drink.

Now with her mind slowly slipping away from the alcohol, she directed her attention to the poor woman next to her.

"Scho, you shaid that getting drunk is not fun eh? It'sh totally fun to become schomeone you can't be with drinks! Here! Have a little of mine! Have schome of the real schtuff, not that weak little...whatever that this!" Satoko said, pushing Rain's lighter drink out of the way and replacing it with the heavy liquor.

Xeonil smiled to himself. "In a few moments she should hit the floor in three..." He looked at the clock, and saw it got late. He needed to get to the inn in due time, but he continued to watch over. "Two..." He grabbed the towel and continued to clean the dishes. Even if she didn't knock out in three gulps, she should knock out any moment, maybe with 5 at most. "One..."

"Satoko, you need to stop drinking this stuff." Rain said wincing at Satoko's loud volume. She glared at Xeonil for giving her yet another drink, and then it being even stronger than the last. Satoko then, said something about trying a stronger beverage, and moved Rain's drink away replacing it with her own. Rain recoiled as just the smell of heavy alcohol was making her light headed. That being the other reason she doesn't drink anything too strong. She can't hold alcohol well, and usually after three or four cups she's gone beyond help. Rain shuddered thinkng about the last time that happened. She then realized that Satoko's cup was still in front of her, so she grabbed it and moved it out of her reach. "Satoko, I think that's enough alcohol for you. I can hardly understand want your saying anymore."

Satoko pulled away from Rain, giving Rain back her lighter drink, groaning a bit as she did.

"Aww...You're no fun. You schould let loose schometimes. I can schee right into ya, like there'sh schome window inschide...or schomthing. Anywaysch, I can schee that you're an uptight perschon. No fun. You schould take a few more rischkes onsche in a while, like me!" Satoko slurred out before taking another gulp from the diabolical alcohol concoction. Finishing the swig, she bowed her head for a few seconds, appearing to have given in to the alcohol, but suddenly jolted her head up, her face now completely red and flushed.

"And thastch why the fischiesch schwim in tha oschean kiddiesch! Becausche we schkared them all away wisch our crazchy schpoonsch and schtuff...Oh the humanity! We could have had easchy livesch with land fischiesch, but no! We justch had to makshe themsch stchablewaresch..." Satoko rambled on about some incomprehensible story before finishing the rest of her drink, slamming the glass into the bar counter, rattling the other drinks on it dangerously.

Still Pete followed Satoko's movements, and smiled - which looked more horrifying than glad. "I wish I was able to live like that. Without a care in the world, being able to drink yourself under the table without concern for what's going to happen next." He nodded at Xeonil. "I think that's enough for me, I'm not much of a drinker. 'til next we meet, friend." Climbing to his feet, he walked across the wooden floor and out into the village.

{Kuroda has informed me that he will no longer take part in this RP. Thus, I will take on the role of the blacksmith. As his character has already been written into the story, the replacement character will be similar. In addition, to fill out the sixth slot, Applications via PM are open.}

"You're looking for master Tomas?" The blacksmith turned his eyes from the girl and her wondrous object to the armed men. He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "You must have been looking for very long, then. My master died several years ago." The bearded man's jaw dropped in surprise, and a low murmur could be heard among the armed men. "This is a disaster! We were told that his skills were second to none. Master Steiner will not be glad when he hears of this." At the mention of the name, the blacksmith recalled his meeting with Jenna. "Steiner, you say? His daughter dropped by earlier... Jenna, was it not? I've agreed to go in my master's place, to break open this lock of his. He taught me everything I know." Captain Beard seemed surprised at first, then relieved. While this pale-white-haired young man with those dark eyes didn't look much, he had the muscle of a smith and the stubbornness of one. "Good to hear, blacksmith. What is your name?" The blacksmith nodded.

"Johan Swahlberg, at your service."

After giving the toolmaker beside her a crazy look, she quickly covered her mouth. But the longer she watched Satoko, the stronger the urge became. She tensed up moments before dropping her head and laughing. Rain hardly took notice of Pete leaving, and her stomach began hurting. She probably laughed at her for 3 minutes straight, but she just couldn't help it. All the nonsence that flowed from the toolmaker's mouth was just too stupid not to laugh at. Once she was able to calm herself down she felt a bit bad for laughing at someone else's expence, but waved it off.

"Satoko, you are the most care free person I have ever met." Rain smiled, "Even if you are under the influence of alcohol."

Satoko was completely gone. Her personality had been completely lost to the heavy liquor drink. Satoko sat slumped over her empty glass, silent for a minute, staring at the ground. When Satoko finally raised her head, she was staring off into the distance. Suddenly, her expression switched from a drunken joyfulness to extreme sadness. She stumbled out of her seat, dangerously swaying from side to side as if she were about to topple over as she walked towards the invisible object. She dropped to her knees, her arms to her sides and tears forming in her eyes.

"Papa? Isch that you? I'm schorry Papa! I didn't mean to tell thosche bad, bad people where you were! I'm really scgorry Papa, real ssschorry..." was all she managed to eke out before collasping into a drunken sorrow, crying softly into the wood floor.

Rain looked at Satoko with a sad expression. Satoko had aperently lost her family too. How strange that we have something in common...It's such a small world.. Rain thought bowing her head, as her own eyes began to mist over at the thought of her own parents. It's been a long while since she had thought about them, or the day they were....

Her back, where she was cut, began aching. It was the only reminder of what had happened to her all those years ago. Rain heard the soft sobs coming from the toolmaker behind her. She stood up and walked next to Satoko, dropping to her knees and placing a had on her shoulder. "Satoko..." She whispered biting her lip trying to keep her own tears from falling.

As Hans Steiner's men left the blacksmith, not quite content with their find - that the master's daughter had got there before them - but still eager to bring good news, Johan turned toward Rose. His eyes focused on the small object in her hand. His trained sight easily identified the material, yet its presence here perplexed him. It was a teardrop-shaped piece of dark iron, about one finger's length, with what seemed to be tiny, tiny crystals spread across one side. The other sides were rough and torn. "Interesting material, girl. Where did you say you found this?"

(As soon as this part of the plot is complete, I will move on to nightfall and the western inn, where most of you will be gathered. If anyone has objections, don't mind to bring them up in the thread.)

Jumping over the counter, he went over to Satoko who passed out onto the floor. He grabbed her by the waist, and picked her up. He slumped her over his shoulder, and walked to the door, ready to open it. Quickly, he asked Rain, "Do you know where she lives?"

Rain looked at Xeonil suspiciously. Why would he act so quickly for Satoko. As far as she knew they weren't exactly close, but maybe they were. Either way she would let Satoko go anywhere alone with a guy, especially while she was out of it drunk. "I do not know where she lives Xeonil, as I have just met her today. However, I will accompany you if you wish to find out." Rain said walking towards the door but stopped to watch what Xeonil would do. "I do not have anything else to do, and she has grown on me in such a short time."

"An injured guy came up to me," Rose began to explain. "He said to me to take it to you. You need to destroy the heart of this ... thing." Even she was feeling captivated by the object still in her hand. Wow ... I never imagined it to be this beautiful. If only I'd looked at it earlier! Replicas of this would sell, especially if it was on a pendant! Hehehe .... maybe, once it's destroyed, I will get to work on it. She hoped her face didn't betray the thought that had just sprung in her mind.

"If you want." Xeonil opened the door wide open, and walked out. It was dark, almost nighttime. At this rate, he would have to rush to the inn to meet up with the others. He turned to Rain, and told her to hurry up. "C'mon."

--Sorta rushed, I know.

Rain nodded and followed Xeonil out of the door. She glanced at Satoko periodically not able to get over her worry for the young woman. "Do you even know where you're going?" She asked afte a while of following him. "If not you could take her to my place. I have an extra room for her to stay in." She lied. There weren't any extra rooms in her house but Satoko needed to lay down, and if he didn't know where she lived then her house would be the next best thing.

"Um, naturally, there would be a house with her name on it, right?" Xeonil pointed out. He saw no house without a name, meaning that Satoko's house must have her name on it as well. He thought about Rain's offer, and said, "Well, if it's closer than her house, then maybe." He looked around the houses, and saw the town clock. It was nearing night time. He needed to hurry. "Alright, screw this. Lead the way." Xeonil 'commanded' Rain.

Rain dismissed his tone of voice not having time to get in an argument. She quickly made a left taking him to her house. It wasn't that far from where they were now and in 5 minues they were in front of her house. "Try not to make too much noise," She said opening the door. "My parents are probably sleeping." Rain waited until Xeonil was inside, then lead him upstairs to her room. "You can lay her on the bed. I'll watch her until she wakes up."

Laying her on the bed, Xeonil looked around for a clock again. It was late, and he had to rush to get to the inn. He didn't want to run down the stairs to attract any noise, so he looked around for a window. "Alright, make sure that she doesn't get drunk for a while." he told Rain. He opened the window, and jumped out of it onto the ground, landing on something. Unable to tell what it was in darkness, he thought it was unimportant, and just dashed out of the area, and to the inn.

Arriving at the inn, he gasped for breath for a few seconds, and looked around to see if that merchant was around. He didn't see him, so he thought for a bit. "Hmm, maybe he's inside of the inn?"
